Tekamah, Nebraska has never been anything special, except to the people who live there. With less than 2000 residents, and not much aside from farms and small-town fixtures, it's hardly a blip on the map to most. But everything in Tekamah is about to change.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center, based in Omaha (just 45 minutes south) has decided to expand its teach hospital, and they've funded the brand new St. Mary's Medical Center in the small, neighboring town. The new hospital is state of the art, and expected to be one of the top care centers focused on teaching in the nation. Students and doctors are pouring in from all parts of the world - and Tekamah couldn't be more excited.

Gossiping housewives and idle teenagers alike are thrilled to have all these newcomers. Life has never been so exciting, and most have never seen so many well-dressed people in one place before. Will the hospital bring good to Tekamah with a boost in the economy and a rise in tourism? Or will a shift in the population change the town forever, taking away it's precious charm? Find out at No Joy In Mudville.[/align]
