Lawrence Keats
Name: Lawrence “Ned” Keats
Age: 22
Class:
Hometown: London
Destination: He’s a crew member
Appearance(written description please):
Lawrence has a rectangular face with crisp blue eyes and thin lips. His hair is a yellow blond color and kept on the shorter side. Due mostly to his military service in the past he is clean shaven at all times. His skin is fair, despite the two years he spent in the desert however.

Lawrence is a short man and he hates that fact. He stands at only 5’6” and is not a bulky man. He is fit however. Though he is not a rippling ball of muscle he is more than able to perform his tasks as a sailor.

Generally he dresses in clothes that are comfortable yet not shabby looking. This generally means a white (or off-white in his case) shirt and brown trousers. Generally he wears a leather belt as well. He does not own a single hat and is reluctant to wear one on the ship anyway.

Personality:
Lawrence is a sweet fellow though he is not out going in any way. He does not start conversation and he sometimes has trouble keeping them going. He has a bit of a no nonsense attitude and doesn’t see the point of answering a yes or no question with his life’s history.

He is always thinking and his eyes show it. If he would loosen up and talk to people it would be clear that he always has a story to tell. He doesn’t tell these stories though because he doesn’t have many friends and currently no close ones. He is a little odd when it comes to his thought process and though he tries not to show it sometimes this thinking shines through.

Lawrence puts on a bit of an air however he doesn’t mean to so. He came from an upper middle class family though now he doesn’t have that same social standing. He is educated and articulate and is known to show it.

While he was a solider he doesn’t always show it. He questions orders given to him so long as he sees a reason to question them. When he has a reason he supports to do as he is told. He also owns some Arab robes but he rarely wears them because they are utterly impractical on the ship.

Background:
Lawrence’s father is a banker who lived on the outskirts of London in a nice little suburb, his mother was a homemaker. He had two older brothers and an older sister. While his brothers picked on him and bullied him his sister was his idol. She adored him as well and was almost more of a motherly figure to him than his own mother. She taught him to read and write before he went to school and he was with her almost all the time.

Lawrence did alright in school. He was not exactly a stellar student though he did excel in history. He began to gear his study towards becoming a professor of history. Then in 1914 the Great War broke out. He wasn’t old enough to join the effort though and had no intention to. He continued his studies until 1916 when he learned about T.E. Lawrence. He still wasn’t old enough to join the army then but he had all intention to as soon as he could.

In 1917 he joined the army was managed to get himself involved with the Palestine campaign. It was exciting though not exactly what he had expected. He stayed in the army until 1918 then it was all over. He tried to settle back into his daily life in London but it wasn’t the same. His sister was the one who did her best to keep him happy but it was soon clear that he wasn’t ready to settle back down yet. She encouraged him to find himself a new job until he had had enough traveling.

(This is my second character just so you know. I also play Patrick Shopon ^_^)
