Kat is easily a very appealing and striking woman, one in which many people don't see every day. Even in the upper-class, she's surrounded by girls that are simply 'pretty'. Kat is alluring. She's aware of this, and enjoys it.
Dark hair is cut in a short bob, and, as was normal for the era, is worn with the hair over the ears. She keeps it waved. Kat always wears hats, and they range from tight-fitting cloche hats to elaborate affairs with a wide brim during the day, and at night, wears headbands and other exotic things. With her dark hair and dark features, Kat has very potent blue eyes, so light in comparison to her own dark hair and dark makeup. She wears quite a bit of makeup, more than should be necessary, but it always works to compliment her appearance. Her lips are always red, her eyes are accented with dark eyeshadow and eyeliner. Her nose is thin, long and graceful, and her figure...oh her figure.
Clothingwise, with as much money as Miss Wainwright is worth, she is always wearing only the best of clothing. As a result, she is always fashionable. She never misses a beat with some of her clothes, splurging on outfits with sumptuous fabrics and pieces that she is positive will get her put on the society pages. And with her behaviors, why shouldn't she be on the society pages anyway?
Personality:
Kat is a woman of many complexities. She hates competition. She dislikes most women and sees them as competition and rivals. She disdains the lower classes. She likes men, and has gotten the reputation of being a vamp. She's one of England's most notorious vamps, and while she's not a huge partier, though she does show up at quite a few society functions, she always does so only to steal the show, and only to be seen. She finds most girls who like to be vamps to be girls that like to mimic her. But why wouldn't they want to mimic her?
With that said, she's extremely, extremely, self-confident. She's arrogant and egotistical. She thinks that the world revolves around her, and makes no qualms to be modest about it. With that lack of modesty, she is also rather harsh. It is not enough for her to simply be blunt - she must always add a sort of venom to it. Still, she doesn't do it outright all of the time - normally being snarky in a distinctly upper-class and underhanded, passive-aggressive manner.
Smoking cigarettes and being extremely sexual isn't something that bothers her at all. She has nearly no morals, and is a contemplible individual, but it's not like she cares. She sees everyone as a rival, and would like to keep it that way.
Background:Katherine was born in London, to a very wealthy family - her father being involved in banking, and her mother being a society matron. With the money that Kat's parents had, she got everything that she wanted, making her quite spoiled. She had friends, but she was never the type of girl to be extremely friendly. She was well-behaved in the presence of adults - she was rude and conniving to many of the other children in her mother's circles. Still, her mother still managed to make her daughter as well-known as possible to those in London's social order.
As Kat grew older, she grew more and more beautiful. And with that beauty, she grew more and more cruel. Because of this, she was often not invited to the parties of many people, though she still managed to make her way in. Kat was a party crasher of sorts, and she normally came to attract men. With Kat, she was either a person that was absolutely hated, or absolutely loved. The girls that loved her were girls that tried to be vamps, or at least had a healthy fear of her. The girls that hated her were girls that either lost their boyfriends or had a run-in with her before. Still, Kat, from her teens, managed to continually make the news, being famous only for being rich and being amoral.
A few months ago, she found out that one of her rivals was soon getting married. She was excited to crash this wedding, and had plotted to do so for a while. The woman had already headed to America - and Kat quickly snatched up a ticket on the first ship out - The Aurora, though only after going on a huge shopping spree in Paris.
Now that she has her ticket, Kat waits impatiently for her chance to take the ship and America by storm...and she plans on enjoying it all the while.
