The wizarding world had been peaceful since the Dark Lord Voldemort’s fall in 1998. For the first time in over twenty years wizards began to feel safe—there was no dark wizard threatening to stalk down every darkened alleyway, no worrying about whose bad side you managed to get on. Finally there was peace, especially in wizarding Brittan.
The reign of peace the fall of the Dark Lord left behind left all wizarding kind in sort of a naive state of trust. The whole wizarding world had united to defeat the Dark Lord, the former Death Eaters who did not die in the final battle finally turning back to the lighter side of magic. So, in 2017, when the respected werewolf Hecate Zimmerman approached the wizarding council asking that Werewolves, Vampires, and other magical creatures be given wizard status and that her children, part-werewolves, be allowed to attend Hogwarts as she never was, the overwhelming spirit of good will allowed the council to rule in favor of it.
Hecate was allowed a spot on the council to represent the voice of the newly-equal magical creatures. Though deliberation, it was decided that werewolves, vampires, goblins, and veela would be given full equal status in the wizarding world. On top of that, children who were at least part-wizard in blood and could perform wand-based magic were to be allowed to attend Hogwarts. So, in September of 2017 the hogwarts express was not only loaded up with young witches and wizards, but also werewolves, part werewolves, part-vampires, part-goblins, part-giants, and part-veela. Though some remained skeptical, measures were taken to make sure the castle was safe for everyone, and the sense of unity among wizards and creatures was strong.
Only a select few knew, though, the true intent of Hecate Zimmerman. The fact she had married a wizard had certainly distracted the masses from her maiden name-- Greyback. In truth, Hecate along with her brother Auster was plotting not peace with wizards... but a revolution.
The alliance of creatures now, in 2023, is stronger than ever, and with the young adults graduating from Hogwarts with exceptional magical ability they are slowly getting the upper hand. A battle is eminent, but who will fight? Some of these creatures have made alliances with their wizard classmates, and some families wish for equality only-- not superiority.
When will the breaking point come? Will the wizarding world survive the attack that no one sees coming? On and on, what can stop this reckless abandon?
