First I would like to show a little backstory on this hack. Once upon a time, I was watching Goron50's stream, eventually the members of the chatbox got onto the subject of Super Brownie World. They somehow got to the conslusion that Lenny likes toads, at that, Lenny cut in, stating he liked ducks more. Someone said that someone should make a second hack based solely upon Lenny, in which he was a duck. Then someone stated that if someone made it, it would probably be Goron (Note: This is how I remember the experience, this is not an exact account.). I think someone was wrong. I had a IPS patch to make the player into a Yoshi, so I did some pallete swapping, and got a character that looked almost like a duck, but his underside was white. Viola, I had created Maybe Lenny in Strawberry Land. Known Problems: The OW pallete messes up occasionally, to get rid of this, restart the game and it'll be normal again. Screen Shots on Page 3 Now... Without Further Ado, here is the link: Maybe Lenny In Strawberry Land World One Demo. New Version Notes: Overworld has been Improve Includes the entire first world. Overworld for part of World two is made. Edited by tt8989, Aug 1 2010, 04:30 PM.

Yes, Probably a problem with the place I tried uploading it at. I may try uploading it there again in a while, but for now, can you make a suggestion of where to upload it? (Besides SMW Central...) |

All I can say is I am amused =P The hack itself isn't bad so far, just some of the coloring is not really needed, also one question: Why strawberries? If you want to have a fruit hack make it watermelons or mango. That's just my own opinion though, I have nothing against strawberries =P |

Why strawberries? My family had gotten the Beatles Rockband for Christmas, and I started this hack around then. Plus, it's the easiest to shape platforms like. I have to say, it's diffucult at some points, because I tend to accidently make it like that, and make it so you have to know exactly what to do, and sometimes I make it too easy. I'm glad to know it isn't too hard. I know that the secret exit for 'Secret Rocket Lab' was very decieving. |

I like the graphics change and think it's a funny idea, but the bullet-bill part of Yoshi's island one needs to be fixed. For one thing the blind run through bullet bills is just annoying, and secondly, thanks to the bullet bills, the springs you need to advance (at least I think, I can't get more than 2 to appear, or get over the pipe) disappear due to sprite limitations (because of the bills). Vertical scrolling also doesn't start unless you jump off a bullet, but you still can't reach the next highest spring, I assume there's a missing one to get me up there? |

TapTap, I'd like to suggest standing before the part and letting all the bullets go offscreen before going through, also, the baby yoshi you can get near the beginning is a good tool for getting rid of the bullet bills. I think I'll remove most of the bullet bills in the next version. Also, I think the overworld was weird and reverted back to the normal SMW overworld, I had an overworld before.... Edit: I Looked at the ROM in lunar Magic. Strangely, everything except the first level was wiped. I Didn't apply any patches, so I don't know what happened. Edited by tt8989, Mar 30 2010, 04:19 PM.

I tried "clearing" the bullet bills, either some spawn in the part you can't see or the clearing doesn't seem to work very well, I took out all the ones in the start but 2 of the 4 springs still disappeared. I managed to get past with the 2 on the left. Is there an exit in the green lava area though...? I ran through two or three times, even taking a cape and broke the heck out of it, I still didn't see an exit or anything. Was the level supposed to continue after the skull raft goes away? I noticed it was the normal SMW overworld, maybe a bug? I noticed it leads right into the main game, that's where I got a cape and yoshi to try and break the lava level. Edit: I took a peek in lunar magic, come to think of it, if you remove half of the "posts" blocking the view in the bullet bill area it might work, but if you want the player to clear out the sprites you should probably leave a message box that hints at that. I'm not sure how common knowledge that is, and it doesn't really make logical sense. There still doesn't look like there's an exit in the green lava level in lunar magic, maybe the version you posted bugged? Edited by TapTap, Mar 31 2010, 07:12 AM.

I have a feeling the game got Bugged while Uploading it, which would explain why the other Three and a half levels got cut out and the SMW overworld returned. Also, the exit wasn't appearing probably due to Sprite limitations and the grey platforms leading to the entrance. I'll reduce the bullet bills in that part, make it more visible, and remove some of the useless grey platforms in the green lava level. Edit: Argh, I took a peek in Lunar Magic, and Discovered that the end of the green Lava Level was Cut off. And Sharky, I'd be happy if you LPed it, would you like me to send you a Demo, so you know what you're up against? Because the Hack can get rather diffucult at times.
