The Berser culture is divided into several sections:
Every Berser is born a Laborer (Zen'al) and can become an Artisan (Rea'ta) if they serve at least 10 years in the Berser Military (Yer'nik). After their ten years they may either leave as an Artisan, or Laborer, or continue in the military for a minimum of thirty years more. It is to be noted that the average Berser life span is almost 250 years. After their thirty years they may join the Aristocracy as an Aristocrat (Vaun'al). At the top of the Berser hierarchy are the Vaun'elden, which roughly translates to Magistrates. The Vaun'elden are former Berser Lords (Val'ter, equal in rank to a five star General) that have retired from Military life after many years of service. Berser Lords and Shadow Lords (Shar'ter, no such beings exist in Terran culture) are at the head of the Military, with Shadow Lords being the most revered and dangerous. Most Berser that stay in the military aim for becoming a Lord or a Strider (Val'ro, Striders would be of equal rank to a Major General). A few risk the harder path of the Shadow (Shar'nik) and become a Shadow Knight (Shar'rok), those who take this path often never leave the military and endure unimaginable training. Once you have chosen the path of Shadow you cannot go back or leave except through death. Although the Berser are not keen on making allies with other races some of their Lords and members of the Shadow have helped "lesser races" on various occasions for unknown reasons. The most notable exception to this is one of their honorary Militants they named Coringa (Blade Storm), who is actually a Terran Ranger named Jake Skeller. His name coming from his infamous ten-sword style. It is known that the Rangers have many allies among many of the races, but the Berser especially. He is also known to own and operate the only one-man Goliath of the Berser. ------------------------------------------------ Updated a little. 8-17-08 |

Well another update about their "entrance" to battle. The use mechanisms called Gero'Tak, which roughly translates to Meteors. Meteors are roughly round and are shot from orbital ships like weapons. Upon landing they unfold into a myriad of units such as battlesuits, tanks, and "centipede-like" constructs that are capable of burrowing and bashing through most fortifications. more later! |
