Four generations ago, two academies were built across the road from one another. One would go on to house the finest Superheroes the world would ever know. The other to raise infamous Supervillains that would terrorize humankind. A rivalry has always existed between the two, on which side do you stand?
You're currently viewing our forum as a guest, which means that really - you're not having fun yet. All you can really do is read some stuff and blah blah blah, all that really means is NO FUN. We, the staff, highly encourage you to join up, man! It's loads of fun and we Admins are very welcoming. See the chatbox over to your left? Yep, well don't feel intimidated - chat us up!
We seem to have avoided an overpopulation of villains, so hurrah! Remember that we don't have character limits so you can create to your heart's content as long as you maintain them! And before you skip along your merry way to make a villain, remember also that they tend to get their butts kicked... Heroes can be unpleasant people too, only they do the right thing eventually...
Happy touring!
Oh... and JOIN!
**One last note before you join the party - Please register with a FIRST and LAST name! See existing names as an example!
Get to know what you're getting yourself into, you silly silly person you. But seriously, this thing here holds fairly well everything you need to know to get off on the right foot and have a riot. You'll find a quick set of easy-to-follow-and-understand rules, the general plot, basic rules in regards to the universe and it's many high-falootin' rules, how to hero it up and how to bring some villain to the party... you know the drill.
Extra! Extra! And all that nonsense. Don't worry, I'll never say that again, I promise. Whenever something spectacularly interesting or of incredibly relevance comes up - in terms of plot developments or random happenstances, upcoming wonder-plans, you'll see it posted here. Keep an eye out, it will ALWAYS concern us all.
We don't kiss boo-boo's better, let's just have that said right now. However, we will help out with technical difficulties and welcome the odd comment here and there. And suggestions? We love 'em, s'long as they're nice and not nasty mean things that make Jules cry. Oh, and if you're confused, this is the place for it too.
Okay, new users, tell us about yourself. It's always nice to know a bit about eachother when you're RPing. Also, this'll be a good place to show who you're playing without having to search the profiles.
This is a good place to check, you know, every once and a while for recent developments in the threads, you know, just so you don't toss yourself into the RP not knowing anything.
Just sign there on the dotted line and you're in, kid. FIll out your personal details for our records and that's it. In here you'll find a template (don't freak out, it's an easy one I swear) to use and within days you'll either be accepted or declined. After which point you're profile will be moved to the appropriate category according to which Academy you were admitted to, or if you're a staff member.
BEFORE YOU REGISTER YOUR CHARACTER, PLEASE TAKE INTO ACCOUNT, YOUR AVATAR MUST BE 175x175 NO BIGGER, NO SMALLER! IT MAKES THE JULES ANGRY! PLEASE HEED THIS RULE, OR ELSE!
Here's where all the accepted young hooligans and ne'er-do-wells have their profiles moved and stored for future reference. Who knows? As supervillains it could be worth a bunch in the future... Oh, staff profiles are in here too under the seperate subforum.
This is where all temporary or event-related character profiles will be moved and stored for reference until the event is completed, at which point either they will be moved to archives or to an appropriate other place and this board will be hidden.
Students and Staff alike will find the rules, regulations and general code of behaviour for the Institute here. Rules are expected to be adhered to and respected, though contestation is permitted. Expect to have new rules added as situations call for it - Ignorance of rules is not a suitable excuse.
Every single Instructor has an office and they're found in here. The offices double as living quarters, the sleeping area seperated from the office area. One door, two windows, one occupant.
The Volkov Institute main building is a thing to behold, with it's three grey brick storeys and metallic sheen inside. Classes are taken here, except for the chemistry and mechanic based courses which may be found in the Jacobi building across the green.
The campus runs about the same size as our rival academy's property does, only ours is far cooler considering how we're evil. It's also known for having far more greenery than would normally be assumed and even a small body of water running through it that ISN'T full of toxic chemicals. Go explore, run from class to class, do whatever.
There are two in total, technically speaking. Though really they're right next to one another, even connected by a covered walkway, so you could say there's just one. But there's two. Both are subforums in here.
As the title suggests, this building is used entirely for the pursuit of chemical teachings as well as mechanics. It is kept away from the other buildings on campus because of that incident back in '63... very unfortunate that...
During World War I the Dean of Volkov and Principal of Chryfder agreed to hold a truce between the schools in favour of protecting the students in the face of the war. Again during World War II the respective schools took to the bunkers.
This is where all the rules and regulations of the prestigious CPAF come into play. All students of the Acadmey must know and adhere to the rules at all times or face expulsion. Rules may be challenged, and new rules may be put into place, but only under the supervision of Martin Maracle.
Thanks to donations from alumni, Chryfder now has an airport with which it can transport its more foreign students back home easily. There are five inpregnable planes which move at speeds nearing the sound barrier.
Students aren't at school 24/7. There are surrounding cities and whatnot for students to hang out in. Most frequently, students from the two different schools interact here. The schools reside on Yonder, an inorganic continent that's about ten years old. It's very spacious and in the middle of the Pacific Ocean
So, every self-respecting superhero universe has about fifty bajillion other ones attatched to it. Good's bad, bad's good? Back in time? Forward in time? CRAB PEOPLE!? All is possible in alternate universes.
You know those batshit insane things you just randomly think up that you go "Oh good GOD that's like gold, but there's no place for it in the plots! Ohnoes!" Yeah well those threads can go here now. Want to yell insults at a horse from the comfort of a swimming pool? By a fire? Want to thread a day in your characters life as if they had LOBSTER HANDS?! What about random flashback crap from their childhood? Yeah, totally, do that here, go fricken berzerk - but not holyshitontoast crazy like Hulk okay? That's just not fucking cool, then we'll have to get a techie Billionaire playboy to fire your ass into space. But seriously now, you can thread just about any crazy-ass idea that pops into your head for whatever reason. Crazy, serious, anything that doesn't really fit anywhere else.
Come up with devious, cunning and otherwise nifty plots to play out with your characters and other members. Just start thread if there's nothing already there that appeals to you or respond to someone who's got one up.
All sites wishing to either affiliate with us or merely advertise may do so here, but know that if you post your site here we will feel free to do the same on your site. Expecially affiliates.
Every so often we'll move noteable threads that have finished up into this board. You can go read things if you get that bored, but no pressure. Really though, we're just using this to try and keep our board just a bit more tidy and less cluttered. Didn't think we'd get cluttered, but it seems we have... Coooool.
