Robert wondered through the various rooms of the manor whistling too the christmas carols blazing through out the house. He didn't like christmas carols, he didn't even like christmas but this year was different because this was his last christmas as a single man and next christmas he wasn't just going to be married he'd be holding the video camera as Bree helped their baby boy unwrap his first christmas present. He beamed the idoitic grin of a man who knows hes going to be a daddy soon. Bree didn't know he knew of course she was going through all sorts of trouble to ensure he didn't find out he thought it was kind of rediculus the lengths she was going but hell he was sure Bree just wanted it to be a surprise and he didn't care how she planned on telling him aslong as she did because he, Robert James Delacroix was going to be a dad! He chuckled looking over at the christmas tree almost imagining Robert Jr in his arms playing with his new christmas toy. He was proud and excited but he couldn't even share it with the boys at the organisation yet, nope not until Bree told him but he didnt know how to hold it in for much longer and if he burst it would be her fault! Pulling himself out of his daze he looked at the clock Bree would be home soon, he walked into the kitchen to check on the roast chicken he had put a lot of effort into tonight to make sure Bree knew that he was ready to know and was ready to be a father and that whatever was keeping her from telling him there wasn't anything to worry about at all. The chicken, he found was fine and he was glad he didnt want to burn it and ruin everything last thing he needed. He was going to tell Bree that it was alright to bring the wedding forward tonight, so the baby would be born in wedlock so he would have the Delacroix name and so Bree can aswell. His companion in body and name, he chuckled again the idiotic grin still stretched across his face. "Let it snow, let it snow let t snoow," He sang along merrily as he raced up to the bedroom to change into better clothes. He didn't need too but it set the mood better and Bree would appreciate it. He changed from ragged old jeans into suit pants and a blue and white stripped collar shirt once it was done he went down stares and turned off the cd player the manor was silent and Robert frowned slightly, next year it wouldn't be but what did he care because he, Robert James Delacroix was going to be a father and that was all that mattered. The goofy smile returned. |

Bree hadn’t needed to work today, but she’d gone out on the pretence they she had anyway – anything was better than sitting around the house these days. Easier than facing Robert, who seemed to be carrying that expectant and excited look around her all the time. She had figured out a few weeks ago that he must have discovered the pregnancy test while she’d been gone a couple of months ago. That was just one less thing she needed right now. It was bad enough that his fiancé was now a lycanthrope; she was also supposed to tell him that the baby he thought she was carrying had been lost during her last shift as well? As much as he loved her, she knew deep down that he would very likely be the first to try and kill her if she was discovered. The entire situation threatened to tear the woman apart, and yet she still kept her strong face, as though nothing was wrong. At least her new habits of wanting to be just held for comfort sake, and increased appetite could be factored to her ‘condition’. All the same, she felt incredibly guilty at just the thought of loving out a lie just to save herself from having to admit that she was going to lose it all; everything. It was only a matter of time before her world would come crumbling down, and yet she wanted to hold onto every little bit, savour the things she’d taken for advantage. Because there was no going back after. The afternoon and evening had been spent simply out in the woods, wandering around. She’d taken to spending time spying on the local wolves and the Lupanar secretly. The woman managed to stay downwind and far enough away (with a power scope) to be able to see what went on there. Not that she wanted any part of it – she was simply curious. Apart from that, she’d also checked up with some contacts on any local hits that might take her mind of the situation at hand. Anything to keep her busy. Though, it was nearing dinner time now, and so the woman had returned home. She pressed the security button in her car for the gate to the manor before driving up in her black Porsche 911 Turbo, driving it up the driveway and parking in the garage before taking a few moments to take a deep breath and put on her game face. Stepping out of the car, a warm smile covered the worry she felt inside as she made her way into the house, the scent of her fiancé helping her find him in the living room with a grin on his dial. Bree walked up to him, wrapping her arms around his shoulders before giving him a kiss on the cheek. “Hello love, how was your day?” |

He heard the car coming up the gravel drive way, he pretended to busy himself in paper work as his wife to be made her way to the front door of the house. He mentally checked off everything he was meant to have done before Bree had returned home this evening, he hoped her latest contract hadn't been a messy job everything had to go just right. Life was interesting being the fiance of a professional assasin, in the earliar days it had unnvered him a little and deflated his ego that the beautiful woman in bed next to him could probably kill him 3 times over before he even new what was going on. It especially hurt when they started sparing together, 4 years latter and Robert still hadn't won but he had definitely improved Bree had seen to that. Bree's proffession on a hole never bothered him he'd known about the Knights family business since he was a very young boy though he hadn't understood at first. It confused him as a little boy why anyone would pay lots of money for someone else to hit someone for them. Robert chuckled at his childish ignorance as Bree slipped her arms around him, he jumped being pulled back from memory lane. He smiled spinning around gracefully and pulling her into his arms. He smiled down at her and lent down to kiss her on the lips as the alarm from the oven sounded. "I have a suprise for you," He whispered to her smiling a little nervously, he hoped she would like it he had never really cooked before but he was trying and had spent the past few weeks being 'trained' by there chef. "Go wait in the dinning room while I get everything ready.." He let go off Bree and began to head to the kitchen, hoping he hadn't forgot to set the dinning room table and get the wine out from the cellar. |

At least when it all came down to it, late nights could easily be put down automatically as work. Bree had worked long hours for quite a few years now, especially when there was something big going down. And well, with the new President elect, there was quite a lot of activity everywhere. Not that she was getting quite as involved as she would have liked to make out. There were precautions she was going to have to take in order not to be caught out in her predicament. As Robert shifted around in her arms and pulled her close, Bree took comfort in the touch, snuggling closely as he brought his lips onto hers. There was a part of her that wondered if he might accept her with what had happened if she told him – if he would consider giving up those beliefs he’d held for so long just because his fiancé was now one of the things he’d always preached were unnatural monsters. But the majority of her knew that nothing would be the same... at the least she would likely be sent in for testing they were talking about, something the brunette really didn’t like the thought of at all. An eyebrow raised at Robert though as the oven alarm rang briefly and she was told her had a surprise for her. “A surprise? What’s the special occasion?” Bree chuckled lightly, to cover the inward tightening inside her chest of dread that welled up. She didn’t want to really consider why he might be as excited as he seemed, it was a common occurrence lately, and seemed to be accompanied by a touch of impatience as well. Nevertheless, she went to the dining room, the smile slightly dying at the way it was set up beautifully with a rose in a vase and candles lit, the fine china and sil-... shit... he’d pulled the silver out? Bree listened for Robert in the kitchen before she pulled the cutlery drawer open and got out the nice stainless steel, which held a similar pattern to the silver. Hopefully he wouldn’t notice the exchange, she prayed as she used a napkin to pick up the silver cutlery and put it away. Having made the swap, she could still hear Robert in the other room and she glanced at the bottle of white wine sitting in the ice bucket, wondering whether she should open it before simply deciding to leave it for now and sit down in one of the chairs. Robert pulled the chicken out of the oven and sighed with joy, he was amazed he hadn't burnt it he poked it like the chef had shown him and he desided that it was definitely ready atleast according to his instructions it was. He beamed as he pulled the tray onto the counter, switching off the oven and leaving the chicken for a moment as he pulled the maids trolly out from the kitchen store room. Placing the potatoe, pasta and vege salads he had made onto the trolley he somehow managed to transfer the chicken and various roasted vegetables onto a large serving plate and taking the serving instruments and knives he wheeled the trolley into the dinning room. "You have to close your eyes!" he called out to Bree his pride in his new found ability evident in his voice, Robert was all set to be super Daddy when Rj came into the picture so Bree would have an easier time with the little tacker. "It's important I did this all myself!" He laughed as he looked around the corner of the door as he backed into the dinning room to ensure Bree had covered her eyes going as far as refusing to come in until his demands had been met an almost boyish smile of excitement and pride on his face. He wheeled the trolley into the room and started putting everything on the table, he knew by now Bree knew what was going on his bride to be wasn't daft but he didn't care even pretend surprise would satisfy his ego for the moment. "Ok! Open them! You can look now," He stated almost nervously the family doctor on notice in case he accidently gave his pregnant fiance food poisening. "What do you think Mrs Delacroix? Sorry... Miss Knight." |

Soon enough the smell of roast meat had made its way even more strongly through the house and set the woman’s stomach as well as that inner beast growling as she waited patiently. It seemed rather obvious that whatever was going on, it was meant to be a surprise and she could only wonder what made tonight so special. She hadn’t forgotten any birthdays or anniversaries of any kind; unless this was some way to approach the subject she’d been trying to avoid the past month or two. Bree tried not to chuckle when the call came out to close her eyes, but she did as she was asked still. It seemed she was to remain ignorant of what was going on and supposed she probably would be a little if not for the smell of freshly cooked roast meat and vegetables that overtook her senses as she heard her fiancé entering the dining room. Even the sound of the wheels on the serving trolley were distinct to her heightened hearing and she had to wonder just how much effort he’d really gone to. An amused smile remained on her lips though as she waited, listened to him moving dishes around the table, until he told her she could open her eyes. Opening her eyes, they widened in genuine surprise at just how much he’d made, it was certainly a good diversion to keep her from cringing when he reminded her that she was supposed to become his wife down the track – it was another discussion she’d been trying to avoid since her infection. There was a whole roasted chicken as well as a lot of vegetables, and it all smelled delicious. “Robert James Delacroix, you have definitely outdone yourself.” Taking her eyes from the food that was set out, she smiled warmly at her fiancé before standing up to give him a soft kiss on the lips. “It looks simply wonderful.” Turning her gaze back to the table, her eyebrows raised slightly as she took it all in, “There’s so much too. Its just a good thing I’m hungry enough to eat a horse right now.” Or a deer, she thought to herself. Sitting back down, she squeezed Robert’s hand lightly before letting it go and considering the food set out before them, “I can’t wait to see if it tastes as delicious as it smells.” |

Robert beamed wth pride at his fiance compliment, he returned the kiss gently resisting the urge to ravish her. He smiled and sat down across from Bree a flash of doubt covering his face at his wifes suggestion that the food might not taste any good. He guessed he should have taste tested some of it before serving, especially some of the meats he didn't want Bree getting food poisening in her condition maybe she would loose the baby! Could food poisening sickness cause abortions? The baby books he had started reading all said that the majority of self terminations occured within the first 3 months of pregnancy. Robert chuckled lightly, forcing away the negative thoughts he needed to be more positive maybe thats why Bree refused to tell him she was worried that in her line of work something might happen to the baby and she didn't want to get his or her own hopes up. He really wished she would take time off her job. "It better be or we're firing the cook," he said a teasing smile on his face. "Its all his fault if it's horrible I followed his recipe word for word and spent the past fortnight in the kitchens being his apprentice. If its not perfect it must be due to sabotage!" He winked at Bree accross the table and continued smiling he would wait until they were both fed until he asked her. Robert had no reason to think she would say no or disagree he figured this was the sort of thing women wanted, of course he understood his Brianna was not an ordinary woman but she did have a few girly tendancies and he was almost sure that an obsession with marriage was one of them and if not she would hopefully see the benefits. "Well dig in," He said jesturing towards all the food. "I didn't poisen any of it and I want to see how I went, 'sides if you don't collaspe then I know its safe to eat!" |

Bree smile assuringly at Robert as he sat down, noticing the hint of doubt in his features, “I’m sure it tastes wonderful.” She patted him on the leg lightly before pulling up her chair a bit closer to the table. It really did smell good, and she couldn’t wait to taste test the wonderful meal her fiancé had made for her. It was almost enough to make her forget about the other issues that would clearly change everything if he knew. Perhaps it was selfish, but she wanted to enjoy what she did have now before it was too late. Before everything was ripped away from her much crueller than the claws that had torn her flesh a couple of months ago. Though, there were some things she remembered, like that last full moon that had torn away more than just her human form from the woman. That was something else she couldn’t bring herself to face yet – the loss of the baby she’d been carrying cut her deep, yet she couldn’t even seek the comfort of her fiancé. The laugh from him kept her smile fixated on her features though and she shook her head, “If you did everything word for word from our cook’s recipe, then I have no doubt that it will be the best meal I’ve ever had.” The brunette reached across to pick some meat for her plate, as well as some vegetables and bread as she was prompted by Robbie. She really was hungry, and this was exactly what she needed, no matter the reason. She was still wondering about the reason why he’d gone to so much trouble, but she would leave it for now so she could enjoy the meal. Once her plate was looking rather full, she gave him an embarrassed smile before shrugging lightly, “I’m a bit hungry tonight – things have been hectic lately.” She grinned before picking up a piece of meat with her fork and tasting a small bite, it really was as good as it smelt and she gave an ‘I’m in heaven’ roll of her eyes, “Mmmm... You’ve outdone yourself love.” She ate another piece of meat and a potato before shaking her head in wonder, “This is magnificent.” As she continued to eat, she decided she would forget her problems for the time being. They needed to enjoy this time together. |

Robbie chuckled at his wifes slightly exagerated display of how good the food was, he was pleased she liked it and he couldnt help but smile when she stacked the food on her plate he guessed it was a good sign and meant that her pregnancy was going well and she was eating for two now so he would have to get used to Bree's new demanding appetite. Watching his fiance adoringly he smiled at how a sense of peace and complete relaxation seemed to come over her as she began to eat. His smile never leaving his face he followed her lead and packed the food on to his plate, advice from a mate from humans first so bree wouldn't feel like she was fat or over eating he found it abit odd but thought he'd give it a shot whatever made Bree more comfortable he guessed. Digging into the meal he found he had a done a pretty good job and felt confident enough to think that maybe bree hadn't been exagerating that much. He had out done himself, he would have this Daddy role down easily and he'd help get Bree back on her feet even with a child he couldn't see Bree staying off her feet or away from work for long. Not that she wouldn't be a good mother or anything she was just very active. He stared at her lovingly as a dark thought crossed his mind, he didn't like the idea of Robert Jr getting in on the old Knight family business it was hard enough with Bree disappearing on a job for sometimes a week at a time there was no way he could handle his son doing the same. He wasn't looking forward to that conversation with Bree, but that was a while off she hadn't even mentioned the pregnancy yet! Robbie ate slowly for some reason he was anxious about suggesting to Bree they bring forward the wedding, his wife to be was a very independant woman and he didn't know how she would take it no matter how excited about the wedding she was she had been firm with the dates set. He was hoping that he could appeal to her more feminine side and the suggestion would end with tears of joy or thank you sex, possibly even both. "Ah... Brianna, Babe... I was just curious," Robbie started after his fiance had finished her dinner a satisfied smile on her face. He smiled reassuringly at her and despite his best efforts still came across as fairly hesitant. "But..ah." Robbie swallowed and took a sip from the wine glass infront of him waiting for some sort of reassurance or indigcation that it was alright to proceed, being a Captain he had done much harder things then this but for some reason this was difficult. It was very unlike him. |

As much as she hated the fact that she knew she was covering her secret with a lie, even if it was a lie she hadn’t told, Bree felt more relaxed as Robert simply watched her with a smile as she dug into the meal. A large part of her felt guilty and saddened at the loss of what they could have had; of what could have been a better reason for her increased appetite and feeling unwell some of the time. She still had no idea how she was going to break the news to him – it was impossible with that happy expectant grin on his face. The woman couldn’t help but pick up on some kind of tension in the air though, despite the fact that she’d started relaxing. She tried to pay it no heed, if there was something wrong Robbie would bring it up with her surely. Then again, what if... no, she was sure he didn’t suspect anything apart from the little things he gave away about knowing of the pregnancy. How she was going to face that when he finally got tired of waiting she didn’t know. As she finished off her meal, still thinking she could do with a bit more but deciding to hold off for the time being (she could always get a snack later when Robert was asleep), she was taking a sip of her wine when he grabbed her attention and her eyebrows raised at him expectantly. Brianna, babe... was there something wrong? For a moment panic began to settle in again as she quickly went over her tracks to make sure she’d covered them. There was no way he could have found out, could he? Besides, if he had then she was pretty certain he wouldn’t have cooked her the beautiful chicken roast. So what was happening? Smiling slightly, Bree tilted her head as she studied her fiancé. “Curious? What’s wrong love?” Her smile became more reassuring as he seemed more nervous than anything. It usually meant he’d either done something that he was afraid might upset her, or had a suggestion and wasn’t sure how she’d take it. “Its ok, I won’t bite your head off, what do you think I am?” She could have kicked herself, since essentially she could bite his head off if she ever accidentally shifted and... the thought was banished from her head as she waited patiently for him to continue. |

He saw a flicker of panic on Bree's face that concerned him, he wondered why Bree seemed so worried about telling him about the baby? He guessed it had something to do with her independants and the pressure he would put on her to quit her job once Bree had told him, which was pretty much what he would do but he didn't think it was rational for her to keep risking her own life and the childs for the sake of her independence. However the paniced look was gone as quickly as it had appeared, his fiance an expert at hiding her emotions at times, replaced it with a reassuring smile and despite himdself he couldn't help but think how beautiful she was. He couldn't pass the image of her supple pregnant breasts rich with milk as her body and baby-bump withered beneath him in a moment of passion. He blinked his attention falling back to the issue at hand, he didn't know if Bree did it on purpose or not but she had this way of making herself distractingly allureing during moments like this. So it was so easy to just forget the issue but he couldn't. "Well I think... that it might be a good idea to bring the wedding forward," He finally blurted out a sense of calm coming over him once it was out in the open. It was like a giant weight had been taken off his shoulders and now he could face the issue. Robert looked at Bree hopefully waiting to see her response or hear what she had to say, his egotistical male side expecting the best and for the moment he was expecting to get laid tonight. |

Bree picked up on the change in Robert when she’d tensed up, but as soon as she relaxed and smiled at him, everything seemed to calm back down. Although he was giving her that look, and while it made her want to shiver, she had to try desperately to ignore it. It was one of those times where she cursed herself for being so reckless as to end up getting injured and infected – she desperately missed being intimate with Robert. If there was one thing that had never lost spark it was their attraction, but soon even that would come to an end. As it was, it was difficult to remember sometimes why she had to avoid it. When he finally told her what was on his mind though, she had to fight the urge to freeze. Well, at least it wasn’t about the baby – though she was sure it partially was, but not directly. She raised an eyebrow as a small almost confused looking frown fell over her features, “Bring it forward love?” The frown began to turn into a small pout as her insides squirmed with nausea – real nausea – at having to consider the things that were probably never going to happen. To be honest, she felt like crying, but she held onto the facade like the professional she was. “How far forward?” Bree watched Robert carefully as she spoke quietly, “I mean, we already set the date, and I had my heart set on then and there.” She actually had, she’d wanted it to be the perfect day, and had been very insistent on it. Despite how hard she could be, there was still a small part of her that had dreamed of the perfect wedding. “Is there something wrong?” She didn’t want to directly ask why he wanted to bring it forward; she had a pretty good idea and wasn’t going to push him into bringing that up. Hopefully he might decide to keep pretending he’d never found the pregnancy test. Edited by Brianna Knight, Jan 3 2009, 12:14 AM.

"Bring it forward love?" Robert couldn't help but feel a little angry, he was trying to do this for her, for thier family and Bree was supposed to meet him half way it was starting to get idiotic how far she was going with pretending. Instead Bree was playing games, Robbie knew what that pout meant and in the past he had gladly succumb to it on many different occations but not tonight. It was important and he just couldn't understand why she was still playing games! He desided he would play if he really had to, Bree had her reasons but not telling him and he respectd that and trusted her but why didn't she trust him? Robbie composed himself hoping he was doing a good job at hiding his frustration, forcing a tiny smile on his face he looked up at Bree. Two could play that game as he too pouted inresponse to his wife, a manly pout of course but a pout non the less. "Just impatient my dear," He replied to her his pout transforming into a teasing smirk. "Is it a crime for a man to want a woman to have his name? Posessive I know but you bring that out in me Bree." He chuckled and reached out his hand to cover hers, rubbing his fingers gently over hers before slipping them through Bree's so that they were holding hands his smile faultering into a sad puppy dog look that he hoped would make Bree crumble, a saddness visible in his eyes as he looked into her own.. "We both have dangerous jobs Bree," He started his tone mirrored the sad look in his eyes. "We don't know how long we have and If theres anything I want in this world it's to have you as a wife before...or if...you know?" He felt a guilty jerk in his stomach, Robert James Delacroix was not one to manipulate, his future wife anyway but he felt desperate times called for desperate measures and he felt he did have a right especially in this situation. Bree may not want to tell him yet and he could play along but it didn't mean he didn't get to make decisions or have choises anymore. All this effected him as well, it changed his life not just hers. |

Oh Lord, he was trying, he really was. But Bree knew that Robert James Delacroix was not a happy man right at that moment – she’d had years to learn how to read him as a human, and now that she was something more, she could almost feel the air getting thicker with the frustration. But what was she supposed to do? She’d actually seen some of the things first hand that Humans First people did to shifters and vampires, and while she wanted to believe he loved her more than that, there was a big part of her that was scared of the person she loved most turning against her or trying to force her into testing or something. Rather than fighting the topic with her though, she watched as Robbie’s face turned into a slight pout before he teased at her about being possessive. He was covering it, and she had to wonder if she should feel relieved or still upset that he was reverting to different tactics in order to attempt to sway her. She sighed lightly as his fingers drew over hers and he held her hand, “No its not a crime, but a part of me really did want my fairytale wedding.” Not that she would ever get it anyway, but it was there in the back of her mind – the perfect ceremony and reception. A part of her wondered if maybe she should try to get it before it all fell apart... ... No, that would be selfish and stupid. As if he couldn’t make it worse though, but then Robert put on his ‘sad puppy’ look, and changed his tactic to bring up the issue of their dangerous jobs and the impact they had on their lives. If she really was pregnant still then she would had agreed at the drop of the hat, but the way Bree saw things, she’d already lost her life. Still, that look and the sad words made her want to cry and she cast her eyes down to the table, not wanting to accidentally break down in tears despite how much she wanted to. “I know...” Her voice cracked slightly, shit. Bree cleared her throat and considered her options. Did it matter if they brought it forward? As it was within a month or so he was going to notice that her belly wasn’t growing at all, by then she would have to either tell him the truth or disappear. With a squeeze of his hand, Bree glanced back up at Robbie with a small smile on her face to cover up the fear, dread, sadness, and general despair she felt right at that moment, so that she could at least make him happy for a short time longer before everything crumbled, “Alright love. We can bring the wedding forward – but you know its going to be a hassle getting in touch with everyone to change the dates. I’m going to be run off my feet having to prepare early too.” |

Robert openned his mouth to speak, she was seeing sense but closed it again when he realised that maybe he was being abit selfish. He looked at her it was obvious she was more then a little upset and he hadn't really wanted to rob her of her fairy tale wedding. He knew that weddings were generally more important to women then they were to men and for alll he knew Bree could have been planning this for years, he almost laughed at this point, people who didn't really know Bree would never guess her to be anything like especially the ones who had been looking at her from the other end of her gun. ".... I’m going to be run off my feet having to prepare early too.” Brees words felt like a blade in his heart as a thought came over him, something that never occured to him maybe something was wrong with the pregnancy and Robbie putting stress on her might make it worse. Conflicting emotions washed over him, possessiveness, concern, fear but most of all an overwhelming sense of self doubt that it had been the wrong thing to bring this up to his wife. Squeezing his fiances hand gently he sighed. "Well... isn't really that important," He said regrettfully looking down at Bree's and his own hand holding each other. "Or maybe we can hire somebody else to do it or I can take on some of what needs to be done?" Despite his self-doubt and regret part of him couldn't help but feel it was the thing they should be doing, maybe it was possesiveness or what he liked to think of as his sense of decensy but he was sure it was meant to be and there was nothing he wouldn't do for Brianna. He'd always love her and nothing would change that. |

Bree had wondered for a moment when Robert opened his mouth only to close it again, whether she might have actually won her end of the debate if she’d just continued with the guilting over how much of a fuss she’d made over the wedding plans. To be honest, she’d been planning bits and pieces of it since they’d gotten engaged, and her heart really had been set on a specific time and place. Of course, it wasn’t like it was ever going to happen anyway, so it probably didn’t matter if the dates were shifted forward a bit. It just meant that things would be ending sooner than ever planned. As Robbie squeezed her hand, she glanced up at him again, he said it wasn’t that important, but she could see him his eyes that he really wanted to bring it closer. He wanted the baby she was supposed to be pregnant with to have his name, she could understand that... But there was no baby anymore. She supposed she could tell him that she’d miscarried, that they weren’t going to be parents after all. Perhaps it could explain all her strange new habits. Eating because she was depressed? Unable to stay around the house because she just got upset whenever she wasn’t doing something? “I don’t want to hire someone else to organise my wedding. Its something I wanted to do myself just the way I like, you know that love.” Bree sighed softly as she considered everything that she’d been organising already, a lot of it would have to change. “The flowers I wanted won’t be in season so I have to find something else, which might mean changing the colour arrangement as well... I’ll also have to pressure the dressmaker for the dresses too now...” She trailed off before smiling apologetically. “I’m sorry, I’m rambling. There’s just a lot that will need altering.” |

Robert smiled sadly, he had known she had her heart set on specific dates but he hadn't really understood the smaller details of it all. He sighed she was resisting he had but hadn't expected it at the sametime, females were odd about wedding it was their special day but wasnt it his as well? He squeezed her had and looked into her eyes again, it was easy how they could solve the issue of the flowers. His smile brightened. "Bree.... don't be foolish," He chuckled lightly. "I am a member of the Delacroix family, our wedding is going to be headline news there is no expense my family wouldn't pay to make our wedding the grandest occation in the world the flowers will be in season somewhere in the world, we'll import them!" He winked at her, sure it would be more expensive but he'd pay for it or pull money from the family trust if he had to it was there for events like this and his family was very high profile. If he really had to he'd make his brother make his wedding headlines new if it meant helping to convince his family that all these new expenses were worthwhile. They would understand the situation and be just as excited as Robbie was himself. His eyes twinkled, for a moment Bree's arkwardness and sadness was forgotten. As far as Robbie could see he had solved what had stood in there way. |

Brianna Knight could have groaned at how persistent her fiancé was being in trying to get the date pushed forward, believing it was only a simple issue of flowers. She didn’t want to have to keep thinking of more problems that would prevent it but it seemed she would have to since he looked set on getting married sooner rather than later. At the same time it only upset her more that it was never going to happen. Everything they’d built together would, someday soon, come crashing down around them and then where would they be? Probably at the end of one another’s gun barrels. “There is much more to a wedding than flowers, honey.” Bree sighed softly and new she must have looked tired. To be honest, she was feeling it too. She’d found herself getting worn out a lot more than she used to – usually because she was still getting used to having to eat and drink more often to keep her energy up. “I’m having the dress tailored specifically for me, and I’m not going to get married in anything but the one I want,” Okay, so perhaps she sounded stubborn about wanting things perfect, but she would have felt the same anyway, so it wasn’t like she was acting. “Which means any wedding date would depend on how quickly my dress maker can do it. Perhaps that could buy her some time – even if they had to call up to get an estimate, she doubted it could be made really quickly. The design that had been created for her wasn’t exactly simple. Bree smiled slightly ad she tilted her head prettily at Robert though, “Perhaps tomorrow we can call her and see how long she thinks it will take to be done, and then we can set the date for some time after then?” |

Robert nodded, Bree was being damn stubborn but he knew there wasn't any point pushing it now he'd wait affew days before going down this again leaving hints and making the odd statement about it he didn't want to guilt Bree in to it but the fact she wasn't agreeing with making him edgy and he didn't like being edgy especially when it came to the paranoid thoughts he was having about why. Was the baby someone elses? He pushed the thought away it was a stupid thought but he couldn't help it, she was being so stubburn. He smiled squeezing her hand and letting go, standing he raised an eyebrowl and walked around the table. It was distressing both of them they needed to relax, maybe a bottle of whine up in the bedroom would help fix that while the maid cleaned his mess. He had tried cooking but Robbie wasn't all that interesting in learning how to clean. "Well I think Dinner is finished," He started with a sly smile. "Perhaps we should drop this conversation and start a new one... in the bedroom?" He winked at, stopping infront of his fiance and offering his hand to her. He desided he would carry her up the stairs it wouldn 't hurt him to suck up a little and it did wonders for his manly ego when she let her carry him. It took a lot out of him knowing his wife could kick his ass three times from tuesday no matter how hot he found it. |

It seemed that the debate over whether to bring the date for the wedding drastically forward or not was going to be put on hold for the time being as Robert simply nodded, though she knew it wouldn’t be the last she heard about it. To be honest, the last thing she wanted to do was argue with him when she knew their time together was limited. Sooner or later she was going to have to come clean, or someone else was going to discover her secret, and then it’d be all out in the open for the world. Bree could already tell how edgy Robbie was about everything, which only made her feel more on edge herself. There was no way this was going to end well when it finally came to the crunch – all she could hope would be that she could draw it out until she figured out a backup plan for herself. When Robert squeezed her hand and stood, Bree smiled back reassuringly and watched as he came around to stop in front of her once declaring that perhaps it was time to retire to the bedroom for further discussion. Of course the sly smile on his features told Bree exactly what he had on his mind and despite the general fears of how much control she lacked, decided she could entertain him to a point. Perhaps she could get him to drink enough wine to get sleepy before anything went too far... or she could just drug him to make him pass out. Smiling, Brianna took her fiancé’s hand graciously and made to stand, though by his stance alone it looked like he might have further ideas on how to escort her upstairs. Before he could do anything, she picked up the bottle from the table with a coy grin, “Can’t forget this. Did we want another bottle as well, love?” Perhaps he’d think she was even more in the mood since she didn’t often drink much – it would work to her advantage not to have to answer questions... and to perhaps have him bail out from going too far rather than herself. Of course, it didn’t mean she wasn’t pissed off that she even had to avoid being intimate with the man. Considering all he’d done tonight, had it been only a few months ago she’d have already been all over him for the thought and time put into making such a wonderful dinner. |
