Sage couldn't be bothered with knocking on doors, he was a council member after all. Besides certain formalities kind of went to hell whenever he was involved, certain pleasantries would often be skipped upon and it's been known that Sage would more often then not be brutally blunt to the point of complete and utter rudeness. Though it garnered results that the other Council members couldn't be bothered with as it went against the whole idea of masquerading through smoke and mirrors. This in itself would often begrudgingly find respect amongst the others once they got over themselves as the information gleamed more often the not benefited the entire Council authority. "Vale, where are you?" He'd push her door open, at least he figured it was her door. After awhile her familiar scent seemed to linger in the air and that was pretty much the only indicator that he needed before he progressed further into her room. "Vale, I need my jacket back. I need it for a formal get together with a few associates of mine." A business associate had invited a few prime investors over from Japan and of course Sage couldn't refuse, he had spent the last two nights looking for his Neiman Marcus and eventually it dawned upon him that Vale had taken it after he more or less ravaged her clothes. At least he was informing her that he was here, normally he couldn't be bothered but Vale held a certain undeniable allure that needed some form of respect. His footsteps sounded lightly upon the carpeted floors as he'd eventually find Vale's walk in closet, a low whistle of approval escaped his lips as a grin soon came forth as he admired the clothes and shoes that hung ever so neatly in the closet, "My my, you sure do have expensive taste." Sage had half a mind to go through to see if she was as anal as she appeared and was mildly amused to find out that her clothes were in designer alphabetical order, manicured fingers would soon cascade over the collection as he'd look for his jacket. |

Of all the times for Sage to come and visit her, he'd just had to barge in when she was too busy to answer the door. Not that he ever really bothered to knock - that level of politeness would just be too much to ask from a council member such as himself. Turning off the shower tap as soon as she'd heard his voice, it'd taken Vale several minutes to dry herself off, put on a silk black shower robe and actually look presentable enough to be in the company of another. Just the fact that he'd forced her to end her cleaning process early had been enough to annoy the vampiress, as although she wasn't quite so.. filthy anymore she still hadn't gotten that sense of relaxation that standing under the spray of water long enough usually gave her. Why had he decided to barge in, she had to wonder? He answered her question only seconds after the thought entered her mind. "Vale, I need my jacket back..." She didn't really care what he needed it for, but he could have at least had the respect to wait for her to get out of the shower before going through her quarters for his clothing. Making sure that the robe was secured tightly around her, she followed his voice to her closet. Hair dripping wet, she walked by him to coat hanger in the closet, removing his jacket and turning to hand it to him. "The next time you decide to come into my quarters, could you at least have the decency to knock beforehand? You know, just in case I might be a little bit busy." Her tone held a certain sourness to it, further indicating her irritation (as if the sarcasm dripping off of her words hadn't been enough). She still hadn't quite forgiven Sage for the little incident with Masaru when she'd first come to Paris. Nor had she really given him a reply for his offer to come and stay with him. Given that she apparently wasn't permitted within the Necropolis at the moment (Masaru could be such a pissy little bitch sometimes) it seemed like an alright idea. She'd only come to her quarters to collect some things and have a shower, and after this had planned to go down to the old mansion that she'd last met Parker in. There had been some repairs done, considering how he'd burned the interior of one entire floor, and now it was almost a suitable living place. Tough choice... swallow her pride and go stay with Sage (quite possibly starting even more drama with Masaru) or take residence in a large mansion designed specifically for her own needs... she'd have to think on that one. |

He'd take the jacket and inspect it thoroughly, he honestly wasn't paying attention to Vale though he heard everything she said and noted her apparent attitude, women. Eventually he'd be satisfied with the general condition of the jacket itself though he'd internally note that he'd have to have it dry cleaned to remove any unforeseen scents and stains. "Thank you for taking care of this for me." Sage would say with a pleasant smile, it wasn't often that he'd voice his appreciation but when it came to his personal belongings, namely his clothes he'd open himself a bit to at least show some sense of humility. "Busy?" He'd almost make the very word sound like a joke, though his cerulean orbs would wash over the dampened image of Vale, admiring the very air of arrogance that seemed to linger over her. "Ah I see, apologies then. I can see that perhaps you were trying to obtain a sense of tranquility beneath the shower head." His words came forth as if he experienced such a thing, but tranquility was one word that he honestly despised when it came to practice. Sage thrived in chaos, the thrill of battle and perpetual conflict. A sly grin eclipsed him then as his thoughts drifted. . . "Oh come on, don't tell me you're still angry about that little diatribe with Masaru." Sage would say in turn, the grin fading to a bemused smile. "I mean seriously, it's not like he could do much if he knew what went on between us." |

"No problem," she shrugged as he took the coat. Vale turned away from him, looking through her closet to decide what to wear for the evening. She'd be taking her own car to the mansion, and didn't plan on encountering anyone other than Sage (who'd been unexpected within himself) on her way.. but that didn't mean she still couldn't dress well. "Mm, perhaps I was." She remarked over her shoulder, spotting a particular corset which she'd been looking for. Stupidly, she hadn't brought it with her to Australia and had even found herself having to buy new clothes whilst there.. tsk tsk. She placed the corset over her shoulder, the search for something to wear along with it now commencing. Maybe she ought to just go with jeans... it'd look good enough after all. A dark blue pair were soon joining the corset in it's position over her shoulder, before it was time to choose a set of heels. The comment about Masaru earned him her sidewards glare. "And what if I am? You were baiting him for no reason, and it's because of you that I've been kicked out of the Necropolis. I don't care that he wouldn't be able to do much, but I'd still rather he didn't know," she snapped, turning to him for only a brief moment before grabbing a pair of 7 inch heels and beginning toward her bathroom yet again. Pushing past Sage on her way, of course. |

"Your words cut me deep." The apparent sarcasm lingered upon his words as he side stepped to block Vale's exit, a mischievous grin eclipsing him while he slung his coat over his shoulders. "You know you were secretly wishing for me to expose the truth, to watch his facade fall away to reveal the weakness that he so desperately hides." Out of all the council members, Masaru quite possibly had the hardest time conveying his strength and ability to rule due to the unforeseen difficulties that Sage often harried upon him for his own amusement. "Oh and whats with the sarcasm?" He couldn't help but quip another grin. Sage would do what he could to block Vale's exit, enjoying the subtle rise of annoyance coupled with anger that was slowly rising off of her. "Instead of going elsewhere, why don't you come back to my place? I can ensure you that things will be better there then whatever place you've planned to retreat too." |

Skin deep, maybe. She rolled her eyes as he refused to let her pass - how very mature of him. Vale sneered slightly as he spoke - oh yes, she wanted to see Masaru's weaknesses exposed so badly that she'd lied to prevent that from happening. Sage could be so freaking annoying at times, it wouldn't be the first time that she'd been half tempted to just grab the nearest object and hurl it at him. At the rate he was going, she might do just that. "No, you can't ensure me that, because you don't know where I intend to go. Where I will go, once you get out of my way." She placed a hand at her hip, eyes narrowed into a perfect glare. The fact that he took amusement in her annoyance only pissed her off further. "Move." |

Sage would take a step to the side, a graceful gesture left him as he beckoned for Vale to take her leave. Though that in itself would be a humorous ruse as he stepped towards her, dropping his coat to the floor as his fingers ran beneath her arms to take Vale in a gentle embrace. His lips would hover above her ears as he spoke quietly, enticing her with a quiet promise. "You really don't want to leave, I missed you Vale." He'd slip his hands beneath her bathrobe, fingers trailing upon her still warm flesh as his typical chauvinistic smile eclipsed him for a brief moment as he'd place a kiss upon the length of her neck. "Stay here with me." Sage literally could feed off the subliminal anger that seethed from Vale, he could only imagine what his lingering fingers that followed the supple curves of her form would be doing to her self control as his fingers trailed lower to stress the simple knot upon Vales bathrobe as the material split aside to drape her near nude form. |

It'd taken all of her self restraint and then some for Vale to hold still as Sage ran his fingers down her body, slipping them between the opening of the bath robe. "You really don't want to leave, I missed you Vale." Perhaps if she hadn't already been feeling so furious, Vale might have considered actually taking the words to heart. The idea of staying at the Manor (Sage's area of the Ossuary) could've been quite enticing if offered at the right time - right now not being that time, at all. "Yes, Xavier, I believe I do. And I would sincerely appreciate it if you let me go." Taking his wrists into both hands, she forcibly removed them from her body before stepping away from him, re-tying the robe as she went. It was only after she got halfway to the bathroom that she realized that both her heels and corset had fallen by Sage's feet whilst she'd been trying to escape his grasp. Oh, for fuck's sake.. It was amazingly difficult not to smack herself. Taking a very, very deep breath (only to steady herself and refrain from actually acting on any of the very violent impulses she was feeling at the moment), she made her voice as even and relaxed as possible before speaking. "Sage. Would you kindly pass me my clothing?" |

He'd smile, a gentle gesture as he knelt down to pick up Vale's fallen clothing, offering them to her, there were a few more things he was willing to try before he'd let her leave to whatever reclusive site she'd chosen, it's been awhile since he's seen her after all. It wouldn't be in his best interests to just let Vale leave, especially in her current mind set. "I apologize for my past behavior." He'd squint a bit, the turmoil of an apology would dwell for a moment within his mind. Though the ambiguity of whatever offense he had done to her was vague at best, Sage rationalized it as some minor slight he had done to Vale a long time ago and that little lie was more then enough to bring back the smile that was once upon him. "I really do think you'd be missing out if you left the Ossuary." He'd pause for a moment, his lips faded to a muted smile, "This is the heart of the council, to move away for even a day guarantees that you'll be out of the fold, for instance your vacation. While I can imagine was a point of relaxation has now come around to reveal that you've missed so much in the span of a single month." Sage craned his neck to the side, a subtle pop coming forth as a relieved sigh escaped his parted lips. Cerulean orbs centering upon Vale, "I can provide safe haven in my area of the Ossuary, you'll be given your own series of rooms that'll be more then adequate to provide a sense of privacy. Be that as it may, I have a feeling that you'll appreciate luxury, privacy and the safety that my abode will provide." |

Quite surprisingly, he handed over the clothing without any fuss at all. She blinked, somewhat untrusting of his behavior, and almost cautiously took the corset and heels into her hands. His next words almost completely stunned her. "I apologize for my past behavior." Sage.. didn't apologize. And what he did, he didn't mean it. She wasn't sure if she should trust it now or not, and due to his past actions, had to lean toward the latter. But she didn't interrupt as he spoke, allowing him to finish entirely before opening her mouth to voice her thoughts. He did have a point; to go away would be to be almost completely cut off from the happenings of the Ossuary.. but then, unless something concerned her directly, should she really pay attention to it? Oh well. Either way, if something was really important she'd hear it from other sources. Otherwise, she didn't even want to know. "Ugh; I'm sick of all this council crap. I've been back for a total of what, an hour, and I've already had enough of the vampires here! Master vampires are just so.." She came to a loss for words, and decided to just give up. Throwing her hands up in the air, Vale shook her head and continued to storm off in the direction of the bathroom. |

"Manipulative, controlling, self centered bastards who're only looking to satisfy their fleeting urges?" He'd finish off her sentence with a grin, granted such things held enough truth to pertain to him but it would be a lie if it didn't glimpse upon the others who ruled within the council or the many other master vampires within the territory. "Vale, I wouldn't offer my abode along with everything else to you if I didn't mean it." Sage followed behind her, admiring the view as she clearly fumed about her current state, maybe due to his current mind set he even found her flailing arms and disgruntled mutterings rather endearing. "You know, instead of having a fit, why don't we talk about this in a neutral location? Perhaps resolve a majority of the problems by talking about it?" He'd been reading lately and he was wondering if this particular approach would work better then his usual way of dealing with the whiny indecisive women in his life. |

"Yes, I think that describes the lot of them quite well, thank you." Her words were accompanied by the rolling of her eyes, while somewhere in the back of her mind Vale wondered why the designer of this particular suite had placed the bathroom so inconveniently far from the master bedroom's closet. Well, the master bedroom had a bathroom in itself, but she'd been using the one that'd been further away... it'd been closer at the time. Ah well. Stopping by the bathroom door, she turned sharply and frowned at him. "I-" She cut herself off, pausing for a second to make her voice sound.. a little less agitated. "I don't need any problems solved. I'm fine. If you have issues then go talk to a psychologist, your little whore girl used to be one, didn't she? Take it up with her!" She then proceeded to slam the bathroom door in his face. |

"To borrow from present day vernacular, that's pretty fucked up." He'd say to Vale as she slammed the door on him, his voice would be loud enough for her to hear even without the help of her acute senses. Though even this little childish gesture wouldn't deter him from remaining calm, the last thing he needed to do was smash the door open and start yelling at her, yet he had to admit that Vale sometimes deserved it. "Look you wouldn't be avoiding the Ossuary if you didn't have any problems, because honestly if you're getting kicked out of whats his name. . ." Sage would make a hand gesture akin to someone trying to remember another persons name, he often just called the depressive femininite bastard a faggot for crying about everything, seriously he called himself The Sorrow Eater. He might as well as wear a frilly pink dress. ". . . fag. . .Masaru, yeah thats it." Sage would stand before the door, crossing his arms as a smirk slowly spread upon his face. "So why don't we discuss this like civil people and don't bring up Catherine, she's really not right in the head and besides she can't be a whore if she's only doing me." |

"Fucked up?" She asked with a sneer, glaring at the door for a second as she began to put on her clothes. "Who the hell are you to talk about what's fucked up.." Though her words weren't extremely loud, there was no doubt in her mind that he'd hear them. Yes, she was being childish, and yes that was a bit of a hit below the belt, so to speak, but this wasn't just about him making her get out of the shower early, or some argument that'd taken place. The truth was that everything that'd been building before she'd left for Australia had just blown up in her face, and the result had been her being homeless. And though she already knew where to go, she still couldn't help but fume at Masaru's decision. The fact that Sage had decided to come and antagonize her at this particular time had only made things worse, and though her anger might've been exceeding the situation a tad bit, his own seemed to be steadily catching up to her. She smirked as he told her not to mention Catherine. Vale didn't really care that the woman was only sleeping with Sage, as far as she was concerned she was a whore. She cringed as she tried to put on the corset - it seemed.. more difficult then it should've been? Suddenly she froze, realizing that this particular corset could not be worn without the help of another to tighten it. Her options were simple.. she could go outside and grab something else, or ask for Sage's help. The door suddenly swung open, and she walked out half dressed, heading back in the direction of the closet. She was dressed in little more than her bra, panties and jeans, not yet having put on the heels, and the corset was not an option at the moment. |

"I'm allowed to talk about whatever I want." Sage said with a smirk, it was a "free" society after all and he couldn't help but be a bit snide in his remarks as he listened in on a clearly flustered and pissed off Vale. In his usual way he found her tantrums to be rather cute, it was like watching a child rage against the world. "Oh come on Vale, don't be like that. You're much more refined then that." She was when she wanted to be, but in the end she could be just as petty and spiteful as him. Perhaps this was why he was enamored with her or at least interested, she was in some way just like him. "Oh my. . ." He'd say as she quickly walked by, brushing him off as if he wasn't there but Sage couldn't help but smile, admiring the view as he broke her stride, picking her up off her feet in another embrace. This other tactic of his was rather tedious but at the same time he found it amusing. His arms wrapped beneath hers as they'd rest beneath the supple curve of her bra. "Now, lets discuss this like civil adults, outside of some childish banter between the two of us, I do believe we can come to some sort of positive conclusion." Sage knew he had to at least try, if nothing else he could always resort to what he did to her last time when they had an argument. It's not rape if she likes it. |

Was it surprising that he didn't let her get out of the room, let alone to the actual wardrobe? Vale didn't get very far, Sage coming up behind her again and this time picking her up into an embrace. How difficult was it to get through to him? She didn't want to discuss it like civil adults. She didn't want him to stop her, or to try and calm her down as he was. Being annoyed at anything and everything was her way of dealing with issues that she might otherwise ignore.. but the problem was, chances were, he knew that. "You know, contrary to popular belief, not all women entirely enjoy being swept off their feet.." She commented offhandedly, rolling her eyes at his behavior. "When if I refuse, what then? I'm not too keep on seeing the positive conclusion you'll come to without my cooperation.. though, I believe I already have an inkling as to what it could be." It was rape. But the truth was, she was a vampire of the ardeur, and when you came right down to it she wasn't going to hate any kind of sex entirely. That didn't mean that she wasn't against it mentally - which according to human laws, was enough to classify the act as rape. She hadn't fought him the previous time, but that'd mostly been because they'd had a score to settle. Right now, there was nothing stopping her from using and doing everything in her power to get him away from her. Unfortunately, even that couldn't be considered as much of an effort. "Now, if you'll kind place my feet back on the ground, It'd be much appreciated.." |

A couple hours had passed and Sage had done what he was told, her feet were indeed on the ground along with her discarded bra, panties and jeans. It had been an interesting scuffle, a few blows had been traded between the two as they would eventually find themselves upon her bed. "That was a rather nice punch." It wasn't often that Sage gave a true compliment to another and yet Vale always seemed to be on the recieving end of such affections. "Though I could have gone the rest of the night without you laying your foot into my groin, but I think I made up for it with that nice little mark upon your cheek." A gentle hand would run across the mark, a soothing gesture as it gently grazed her flesh. He had backhanded Vale in retaliation, a pained response that automatically came when her foot plowed between his legs."That wasn't very nice of you." Granted even in his near euphoria, a byproduct of having sex with someone who controlled the Ardeur he knew that what he had done was probably immoral. Sage drew Vale close, anyone else would assume that they were lovers in its truest form and yet such ideals were far from the truth. He honestly did have feelings for her, whatever remnants of humanity lay within him clung to the idea that there might be a reason to do things for another person outside of always trying your next personal goal. |

The struggle had, better then the previous time Sage had tried to force himself upon her, actually been a struggle. This time, she'd actually retaliated.. but unfortunately for Vale he overpowered her practically three to one, and in general the fight was majorly imbalanced. She had managed to get in a couple of good blows before it was over, though - of course returned with several of his own. The pain was gone by the time he decided he was through, and although she was still amazingly furious with him, Vale didn't fight or even flinch as he reached up to brush the wound on her cheek. "You and I both know that if I was 'nice', you wouldn't even bother speaking to me." She remarked uncaringly, tone somewhat distant from the conversation at hand, though she spoke only the truth. The same applied for himself - if Sage one day decided to suddenly give up his life of crime and cruelty, she'd almost immediately lose interest. Sitting up on the bed, she pulled away from his embrace coldly, eyes drifting to the far corner of the room. "Great 'talk' of yours, this was.." Eyes rolling, her gaze drifted back to him quite reluctantly. "Words aside, I still intend on leaving the Ossuary to stay somewhere else until master dearest allows me to return.. and I'll still be just as irritated by you when I leave as I would've been otherwise." She turned to one side, reaching out for her discarded clothing somewhere on the floor by the bed. "Doesn't look like this discussion was as productive as you may have hoped." |
