’Faithful huh?’ Nathan watched the human intently, and it was only after she had fully placed the blindfold on and secured it that he visibly relaxed. His eyes remained on the back of her head as they drove once more out of the tourist ridden market district. ’Very faithful apparently. Almost disconcertingly so. It doesn’t feel quite right honestly, like there’s some trap or something. Or perhaps I’m just suffering from an overactive imagination.’ Sighing softly to himself, the vampire shifted in his seat so he wasn’t pressed against the door any longer. Reaching over, Nathan placed his hand atop of one of Magda’s. Shrugging off the feelings of ill omen, Nathan turned from looking at Bit to looking back at Magda. “I haven’t gotten the chance to express my thanks for what you did in Japan. The blindfold was actually meant to be for you…but I suppose when we get back that I’ll just have to cover your eyes myself.” The conversation was more for Bit’s peace of mind than anything. The vampire and his servant could speak just fine without ever audibly voicing a word. Not that speech wasn’t something they did, as they talked quite frequently, but sometimes you just needed normal and talking back and forth with thoughts couldn’t be classified as normal. Andrew was more than a proficient driver, and in just the few minutes they were on the road, the streets were already thinning out, the taller buildings rapidly getting smaller each passing moment. A glance at the human sealed the deal that Nathan doubted he’d be able to get her to relax, so didn’t bother. Soon enough she’d have time to relax, at least until a course of action was decided on whatever he might discover about the woman’s daughter. |

Nathan was not the only one expecting a trap. For all Bit knew Nathan could be taking her back to the ossuary to make some kind of payment to the new council. Hell for all she knew Nathan was a member of the new council. The thought sent a chill down her spine. She felt as if a million people were staring at her. Judging her. Looking for her weaknesses. A visible release of tension as her shoulders relaxed as Nathan spoke to Madeline about how pleased he was at her return and how the blindfold was meant for her. Bit knew he could just be saying that to lull her into relaxing but still it calmed some of her nerves some though she still sat rigidly in her seat. There would be no relaxing as long as she was around and indebted to this vampire. Her daughter was worth every sacrifice. Including this one. But it didn't mean she had to like it. Bit sat in silence once again. Feeling the car moving only and the drive going on. She grew more and more relaxed the longer they travelled. Knowing the ossuary was well hidden within the city it felt as though they were heading out of it. Of course they could be driving in circles just to confuse her, but the car was not turning that much. Bit could do nothing but sit and wait it out. |

Much more comfortable next to Nathan, the jaguar relaxed against the vampire as his hand was placed on top of where her own rested on her thigh. Madga paid little to no mind to the cold, stiff feeling of his fingers. She had grown use to the sensation over the years and knew well enough that he could make himself look and feel more 'lively' if he chose. The bond to him went beyond physical though and that satisfied the lycanthrope. “I haven’t gotten the chance to express my thanks for what you did in Japan. The blindfold was actually meant to be for you…but I suppose when we get back that I’ll just have to cover your eyes myself.” Their conversation switched not only topics but also methods of communication. Magda was more surprised that apparently Nathan had planned something for her that would require the mysterious blindfold in the glove compartment. Her eyebrow rose at him curiously, "It was nothing really. Like I told you before I didn't have to..." Her eyes shifted toward Bit for a moment, "... be as persuasive as I could have been." Magdalena really did not need to go into details for Nathan; he knew what she could be capable of. Especially with pesky antique dealers. But for the human, she decided to keep it to herself; as if the woman needed to be any more skittish, "But you could just tell me what it is. I'll act surprised." A bigger smile curled her lips as she tried to convince Nathan to just tell her what it was he had gotten. A glance out the tinted windows revealed that the Parisian night was fading gradually. The street lamps more spread out until the point they were non-existant as the car was directed outside the city limits and to the rich countryside. Magda knew that they were heading back to the Estate and a part of her was rather eager to get there. All of those hours on a plane and among the bustling, cramped streets of Japan had made her feel a little homesick. Well, as home sick as she could be for a place they had only purchased several weeks ago. The jaguar had not even had the chance to sleep there yet. |

A grin spread across the vampire’s features, fangs showing this time, as he knew Magda wouldn’t mind or flinch away as most people would. “You have to wait and see. But I can almost guarantee that you will like it. Don’t consider it a gift for staying in Japan though, just consider it as a random gift I’d like you to have.” His grin faded into a comfortable smile as he gently squeezed her hand. He really did think she’d like it, and it really was just one of those gifts that had no reason behind it other than an urge to get it. He had seen it in the window and had immediately thought of her. Andrew had purchased it the next day for him, and it now awaited back at the estate. It would have seemed that just after they had finally picked up a decent speed out of the city, the car was slowing, making a right off of the highway and winding its way around like a curvy snake. It only took a few more minutes until the car slowed further and then came to a complete stop. “You can remove the blindfold now Bit, we have arrived at our destination.” Opening his door by himself as Andrew stepped out of the car on the opposite side, Nathan glanced around, eyes full of the silvery light once more as he looked around for any possible threat. Not seeing anything, Nathan turned and nodded slightly at the older man. He knew the location was secret, and thus should be safe, but he always wanted to make sure before endangering anyone. Andrew then opened Magda’s door as Nathan himself opened Bit’s door. He didn’t stay at the door long though, leaving it open as he moved away from the car and closer to the front door they were parked in front of. The sheer size of the ‘house’ didn’t faze the vampire anymore, and he unlocked the door without a second glance around. Leaving the door open, he moved over to the alarm system, turning off the device. He’d check the security videos later to make sure no unwanted guests had shown up while he was away. Right now he was torn between immediately helping Bit, and taking Magda to her gift. He’d wait until they got into the house to decide. |

Bit didn't relax as the pair in the back exchanged pleasantries and spoke of exchanging gifts. The concept was something foreign to Bit. One person being nice to another because they cared. She dreamed of such things but she was not familiar with them in real life. She wished she weren't blindfolded if only for the oppurtunity to see if the look she imagined was upon their faces. A look she had only imagined. Bit soon lost herself in her own thoughts imagining if a Vampire could actually care for someone besides themselves. Wondering, perhaps, if the one's the council had made her kill had left behind those that they cared about, or cared about them. Bit had never seen or known the concept of love or care. Not that she could remember anyway. But it gave her more to think about and hate about her old life. And yet here she was with another Vamp or Vamps (she still wasn't completely sure about the woman) and yet he was willing to help her to find the one thing in this world she knew she could love without question or reason. Faster then Bit would have thought the car came to a stop. She stiffened again, if for nothing more then being somewhere unknown. She heard Nathan's call that she could remove the blindfold and she did so quickly to the sound of door's being opened. SHe turned to look out the window at the rather large estate they sat before. She was still staring at the home when Nathan came to open her door. She swung her feet out and took another moment to stare at the estate. Well it certainly wasn't the Ossuary, and for that she was grateful, but it was also clear that they were not within the city proper and she would have a bitch of a time getting back there on her own. Plus she was all alone with a Vampire. Had she been stupid? Her head finally returned from glancing over the estate to look at the front door as Nathan opened and entered. She glanced around to look for the female. Feeling better to have her enter before her then sneaking in behind her. Bit walked up the stairs waiting for Madeline to enter before her. |

“You have to wait and see. But I can almost guarantee that you will like it. Don’t consider it a gift for staying in Japan though, just consider it as a random gift I’d like you to have.” Magda did not think that the vampire would break that easily. He was often hard to chip away at, especially when he put his mind to something. It seemed that this was one of those times that he was going to be especially stubborn and keep the gift a secret and wait to surprise her. While she was a little surprised that he had admitted he had bought it for no reason other than he wanted to, "Hmm, I never took you to be an impulse buyer." She teased lightly with a hint of a feline fang showing in her half grin. As the car began to veer off the main highway and take to the curves of a winding driveway, she peered out to see the large estate that they had purchased. It was large; though not nearly as large as some of the other structures they had lived in within the past sixty years. Those had mostly been castles which were abandoned and served as little more than a pitstop or temporary residence. The jaguar was eager to explore the estate in greater detail and on her own time. Real Estate agents could truly be annoying in their pursuit to sell the home and take you through it as quickly as possible and expect a snap decision. It had annoyed her but thankfully she knew that this was the place that would be perfect for her and Nathan. The deal was opened and closed within a day. When Andrew came to open her door, Magda stepped out and smoothed down her skirt before she moved around to peer at the human who had removed her blind fold. She wondered just how confident the girl was feeling now since she was pretty much out in the middle of nowhere and with no bearings. Of course there was the whole issue of being with a vampire and a lycanthrope as well. Following Nathan's lead, Magda moved up to the front door and stopped short to bend down and slip off her heels. When she rose, the jaguar peered back at Bit with a smirk, once more flashing fang, "Annoying things... heels." It was a simple comment, whether or not it made Bit feel any more comfortable, she really did not care. 'Well... she's here, now what are you going to do with her?' She spoke through the marks that were almost always open between the two of them, 'Should I get a bowl and knife?' Maybe there was a hint of eagerness in the jaguar's thoughts at that question. |

Once inside, Nathan was a blur as he went to switch on lights in the downstairs area of the house. Despite being perfectly capable of seeing everything in the dark, he now had two humans instead of one that could not. Magda, he knew, could also see as well if not better than he could in the dark. Once the bigger main lights were turned on, Nathan began moving towards the entrance to the ‘basement’ of the house. He smirked to himself at Magda’s comment about heels as he descended into the darkness that was his ‘lair’. ’Well… she’s here, now what are you going to do with her? Should I get a bowl and knife?’ He was already on the project though when she asked. Amusement was in his voice as he answered. ’I’m already in the process of getting a suitable container. The knife I had on me the entire time…rarely leave home without it. I never know when I’ll need a minor focus anymore. There was that one time in Cairo not too long ago….’ The knife he carried was in actually almost as old as he was, crafted by him when he was still a human and just learning mage-craft. One could say the athame-like dagger was enchanted, with the magical residue it had absorbed over the centuries of use. He had used it some thirty years ago in Cairo to focus his energies temporarily to gain dominance over a demon he had summoned. He rarely had to focus his craft like that however, but demons could get tricky, and he had not wanted to use Magda for that purpose in case something had backfired. It was much better to lose a tool than to lose her. Coming back up moments later, a small silver bowl in one hand and a bottle of clear liquid in his other hand, Nathan moved into the main foyer again, then through a door to the left of the entrance hall. ’If you could send Bit into the Library, I’d appreciate it. Also, I left a package in the back seat of one of the cars in the garage, if you could get that as well, we can get started. I’m sure you’d like to get settled in.’ Nathan continued to smile to himself. In the garage was a sleek black Jaguar XR KS complete with bright yellow ribbon and a small thank you letter with keys attached addressed to Magda. |

Bit moved up the stairs after the woman. Pausing as she did as she removed her shoes. Bit gave her a quizzical look as the woman looked at her with a smirk. Baring fangs at her. Bit played closer attention this time and there was something not right about them. Something not vampire. She couldn't help but look down at her old worn in boots. She had remembered the times the council had dressed her up. She didn't care for heels herself. They tended to hurt but men seemed to like them. With a shrug Bit stepped over the threshold. Bit followed the woman into the house. Looking around at the interior as the Vampire hurried around apparrently turning on every light in the general vicinty of where they were. She squinted as he flooded the place with light. She was used to the night and to being in the dark. She knew he didn't need the light to see and while a little was appreciated the over abundance of it was almost laughable. As if the Vampire didn't spend much time with humans. Bit glanced over towards the driver Andrew whom she knew without suspect was human. Maybe Nathan didn't keep very many human's around for long. A resigned sigh as she stepped further into the entrance hallway. She had signed her fate. She would complete this task and hope she lived long enough to see her daughter. Her eyes went to find where Nathan went seeing him at a door that seemed to be heading down she stood there. Not sure whether she was to follow him or what she was to do with herself. She looked awkward and out of place. Dressed in ratty clothes compared to all of those around her. She hugged the sketchbook tightly to her chest, looking a bit like little girl lost, despite her age, and waited unsure what to do. She looked from where Nathan disappeared threw a door back to the woman who seemed to want to intimidate, scare or eat her. Did she feel threatened because Bit was here with them. Because Nathan had picked her up while she was away? Bit still didn't know what to make of Madeline. |

The movement of her Master throughout the estate, turning on the lights was a bit of an brow raiser to Magda as well. She assumed that he was looking to accomodate both Bit and Andrew since she had little issue with the dark. In fact she loved it and felt most comfortable there. Once Nathan was done she would probably go around and shut off some of the lights that were not needed. Soon she saw him disappear down into the bowels underneath the house where Nathan slept. Despite the change in floors, she could still hear him clear as day in her mind. She should have known that he was already busy with the task at hand; she should have also known about the knife he carried on him as well. Somehow it had slipped her mind; surprising since she could still recall the incident at Cairo. It brought a slight grimace to her lips to even drudge up those memories. The demon had been a dangerous creature and Nathan had required a boost of magic in order to take control. Unfortunately Magdalena felt a bit useless in that she could have not acted as a focus for him. Sure, she understood that it was a risk to her. But at the same time she wanted to help Nathan in any way possible. The jaguar pushed those thoughts out of her head though as Andrew entered with her bags and placed them in a corner for later. It would be good to settle down and relax, but for now her attention was directed to Bit, "Nathan will meet you in the Library." Magda gestured toward the library which was to the left of where they were standing right then, "Go on inside and get comfortable" Magda offered a small smile in her mildly polite tone before she turned away from the girl and nodded to Andrew to dismiss the man until he was called again. Magda's bare feet barely made a sound as she walked out to the garage and stopped as soon as she stepped on the cool concrete. Her eyebrows drew up and her eyes widened at the sight of the beautiful, black... Jaguar. Immediately her brows dropped and a wicked smile formed on her face at the double meaning, 'A Jaguar for the jaguar, hmm?' Her mental voice filled with happiness and a bit of mischief while she found the supposed 'package.' Magda did not need to tell Nathan how much she loved the present as the sound of the loud engine revving was enough. |

Once inside the library, Nathan closed the drapes on the windows, dimming the overhead light moments later so the atmosphere was more akin to twilight. Glancing around with a slight nod of satisfaction, Nathan moved over to a smaller end table, lifted it easily single handedly despite the thick brass scrollwork on the base, and set it in the center of the room. The bowl was next, set in the center of the table, the intricate rune design so familiar to the vampire that he hadn’t bothered to trace them, getting lost in their pattern for many centuries now. Smirking to himself suddenly as he heard the roar of the Jaguar, and the mental voice of Magda laced with happiness as the gift, Nathan uncorked the bottle of pristinely clean water. ’I thought it was quite an appropriate gift. Zero to sixty in three point nine. I know how much you like speed.’ His own voice mirrored hers. She wasn’t the only one that enjoyed going fast. Looking down at the water in his hand, and then looking back to the bowl, Nathan tipped the bottle over, letting the water cascade into the depths of the bowl. Once that was finished, the bottle was corked and set on another table close by. Last to be unveiled was the silver dagger from his left sleeve. This was also set on the table to await the final element. Looking up expectantly towards the door, Nathan waited for Bit to enter. |

Bit had been paying attention to Magda as she spoke. Turning to look at the door she indicated Bit gave a nod and turned to head in there. She stopped short in the doorway of the library as she looked inside to see Nathan there. She stepped back and looked back towards the door she had seen him go threw but not come back out of. It was not shocking that a vampire had moved so fast but Bit had been accustom to noticing. She was surprised to see with just a few months of non practice she was back to being humanly slow at it. She watched as he removed a dagger from his sleeve and set it upon a table. For some reason the room seemed to be crackling with energy, maybe it was her nerves. She stepped over the threshold. Forcing herself to do so. Of course he needed something to draw the blood. She still worried though about his control. He looked young, but that meant nothing of course with a vamp. Could he control his blood lust if he opened her vein and let her blood flow? That was the 50 million dollar question. Not sure how exactly this would go Bit just moved close enough and waited for Nathan to direct her. Still clutching her sketchbook to her chest like a little child. The fact that she was probably twice the age he was when he was turned made the whole scene about idiosynchratic. With the younger looking being the more elderly and wise. Finally her arms dropped with a look of 'so now what?' |

Magda was reluctant to leave the comfortable leather seats of the Jaguar as she pressed her back into it. It felt good considering all of the travel she had been doing and to lounge there would have suited her just fine. But she knew that Nathan would be getting started soon and they did still have a guest in the house after all. With a few more revs, planting her bare foot down on the pedal, she let the engine loose for a little bit longer before she finally shut the car off. "I am definitely taking you out later." She grinned in an almost feral way at the vehicle once she had stepped out and shut the door. Of course Magda knew she would taking Nathan for a joy ride at some point as well. But there were other things to attend to as she continued back through the large estate and to the library. The jaguar did not even bother to change her clothes, opting to leave the blouse and skirt on. The urge to strip down and walk around in nothing but her birthday was incrediby tempting, but then it would have probably made the human even more uncomfortable. Instead she resigned herself to enter the library and move around Bit to stand next to Nathan without saying so much as a word to either of them, not that she needed words with her Master. The jaguar watched in silence at the girl, wondering how she would take to her arm being sliced. In a way she was eagerly looking forward to that part. The scent of blood a favorite of Magda's, the thought alone tugging at the corners of her lips in amusement. |

Nathan reached out, taking Bit’s right hand in his own. He stared at the palm of her hand what must have felt like eons, his eyes tracing over the fine lines as if he were a palm reader. “This shouldn’t take too long, and the discomfort will only be minor.” Nathan’s eyes regained that hint of luminescence that turned plain grey eyes to shiny silver. The knife was retrieved then as Nathan positioned them so the bowl of water was between them, their conjoined hands above the center of the bowl. The marks between Nathan and Magda were never fully closed off except in emergencies when it was absolutely needed, but there was always something between them to keep their minds apart, leaving them as individuals rather than two physicals parts of one mind. That something was now removed, like a translucent curtain being pulled away to let the full effect of the sun come through. ’This may be a little taxing on us however. I’m going to heal the injury I cause…and you know how difficult even the most minor injuries can be for me to heal them magically. And second I’m going to manifest the vision so we can all see. I don’t want to have to do this a second time, so we need to make sure we get everything the first time.’ The razor-sharp edge of the dagger was brought to bear against the flesh part of Bit’s right thumb. A very quick motion brought the knife swiftly across, cutting deeply into the finger. Guiding her hand, Nathan turned it over so the thumb was pointed down towards the water. Almost instantly a small stream of blood welled up and then fell into the pristine water. The water itself seemed to resist the foreign agent for a moment, and then absorbed it as if it were a sponge. What seemed like eternity, yet also but a heartbeat, the contents of the bowl were now deep crimson. Nathan’s eyes had remained averted the entire time, instead looking straight ahead without looking at anything in particular. It was then that Magda might have felt a tiny pull on her essence, not truly her life force, but just part of what she was, her energy as both a living being and a lycanthrope. Nathan’s eyes brightened at this pull, the feel of his hand against Bit’s warming until it was super warmed like a lycanthrope was. At the same moment, his hand tightened vice-like around the human woman’s thumb, the heat concentrated there for the count of five heartbeats. A brief smile flitted across Nathan’s face at the simple act of healing the injury he had caused, not because he felt any remorse at causing it, but because he defied nature by this very act of the dead healing the living. Releasing Bit’s thumb, perfectly healed now as if it had never been cut in the first place, seemed to be the cue. The dim light that had been the library faded into darkness so absolute that it was akin to being blind. “Do not be afraid. I’m manifesting the scrying so we can all see it. It’ll make recalling the details easier if more than one of us views it.” Flame suddenly appeared in the bowl, deep within the contents of the crimson stained water. Logic would scream that the fire goes out, yet it remained steady as it burned brightly, pushing away the darkness so that everyone would be visible to the others again. The library seemed to have vanished though, replaced by a dark void of nothingness that just contained the three of them. The vampire didn’t seem the least bit disturbed by this fact however, instead keeping his now glowing eyes focused on the flames as they steadily grew, consuming the blooded water. As the water was consumed, a haze would fill the void, like a veil of smoke or light fog. Shapes would begin to fill the void, though despite putting his full attention to the details, they remained stubbornly fuzzy and indistinct. Yet the ancient stonework was clear even if the edges were fuzzy, and just the feel of the weight of the earth pressing in from above would give anyone familiar with it that the location was deep underground, away from the sun’s prying eyes. Figures came into the scene now, walking around the hallways and rooms being depicted by the vision made manifest. All were pale, the edges and features blurred making them mostly unrecognizable except for the fact that they were definitely vampires. Was this a vision of the Ossuary? Could they be that lucky that what the human sought for was so close? Giving that it was the Ossuary however, would make this so much farther away despite the physical closeness of the facility. The vision sharpened for one endless moment, the clarity so precise that the girl’s features were easily discernable. Clear blue eyes set in a youthful, pretty face that was framed by long dark brown locks. Was this the daughter? It had to be, nothing else had been so clear. Nathan’s concentration wavered a moment then, sparing a glance towards Bit to gauge her reactions. He looked towards Magda next, releasing his hold on the ‘veil’ between the marks, letting it fall back into place as he relinquished her as his focus. The visions had gone blurry once more, worse than before, and the hazy mist was almost gone. This would be as much as he could do for the woman at this point in time. His eyes faded, the darkness overwhelming them once again before the library was back around them. Stepping away from the table, and the somehow flawlessly clean bowl and dagger, Nathan moved towards one of the few reading couches and sloughed down into it. |

Bit watched intently as Nathan picked up her hand and held the dagger towards it. A gasp then hiss as pain sliced across the pad of her thumb. She watched as the blood pooled and Nathan turned to bleed her into the scrying pool. She glanced up as she bled to notice that Nathan himself wasn't looking, infact was showing to reaction to even the smell of fresh blood. Bit turned to the side to see if Madeline faired as well as her companion around the freshly spilling blood. Another gasp of surprise as Nathan's icy hands started to get warmer then nearly hot. His grip on her thumb tightening. She had to fight her instinct to try and pull away. Nathan's eyes glowing confused her all the more. And then her hand was released, and she realized the pain of the slice was gone. She turned her hand over to look at her thumb to see it as if he had never sliced it open. But she didn't get to look for long as even the dimmest of lights they had seemed to be extinguished leaving them all in utter darkness. Bit dropped her sketchbook completely now. Wanting both her hands to be able to feel her way around if need be. The sound of the book dropping seemed to echo. Nathan's words seemed to be for her benefit. So she paused and lowered her arms as he spoke. If this was part of the process she must remain calm. The flame erupting from the scrying bowl actually elicited a yelp from the woman, jumping back as the flame seemed to grow. Though now there was light they still seemed to be in darkness. I dichotomy that made Bit a uneasy and anxious. She could see both Nathan and Madeline, but the walls and desks of books in the library seemed to have vanished from around them. Bit's eyes kept looking around. If he was manifesting the vision shouldn't she be able to see something besides the three of them. Then she noticed the fog settling in. Shapes forming. Her head seemed to whip around trying to take everything in. And as things fell into focus she realized she recognized the hallways. The Ossuary. 12 years of her life spent there she couldn't mistake those walls for anywhere else. Her eyes followed those walking the halls, Her body turning to follow, try and figure out if she knew any of the blurred figures walking about. And then she saw her. The clarity was undeniable. Her features similiar to her own. Her eyes especially. Though she was two years older then the last time she had seen a vision of her Bit recognized her daughter. And she was in the ossuary. She was in Hell as far as bit was concerned. "NOoooooo." Bit cried the sound longer and more distraught then any one word answer she had given before. She fell to her knees. The irony was to much to take. She had escaped the Ossuary only to discover that her daughter was now there. It had to be because of the new council taking hold. Bit would have known if her daughter was there while she was. There was no way Jazz could have been in the Ossuary the same time as Bit and Bit hadn't known it. Bit sobbed rocking herself on her knees. Sick to her stomach with the idea that her daughter was going through what she had. KNowing she would have to face her greatest fears in order to save her from turning out like her. |

The sensation of the marks opening more fully and that mysterious divide that kept them separate and yet joined now removed made Magdalena exhale slowly. She could feel her Master much more clearly and there was nothing now to mark where she ended and he began or vice versa. When Nathan spoke in her mind, Magda's eyes closed a moment in order to listen carefully. It was important that she paid attention to what he was going to be doing as well; even if she was acting as just as focus to amplify his power. The fact that he would be healing was definitely something to take note and while it would have been just a tiny cut and rather minute, only a small amount of her blood would be needed. As it began, the jaguar watched with interest as the girl's finger was sliced, much more than just a simple prick. When the blood splashed the water, the coppery scent touched Magda's nose for only a moment before it became diluted in the water. She watched curiously as the water gave way to the blood before it expanded to fill it. The tug was then felt, a sensation that she had grown accustomed to, but that did stop her beast from rising to the surface. The pull on what made her a lycanthrope drew the inner feline and to the point that Magda's eyes were no longer dark as coals, but instead shone a vibrant yellow. She could feel the warmth of her own body move over Nathan as well, filling them both before it was concentrated on the wound. She watched as the cut was mended, the action of the skin sealing up and fading to where not even a scar would show; as if the blade had never touched her flesh at all. When the light was sucked from the room, even Magda experienced a temporary blindness. The magic of the scrying being called down around them made it impossible for even her feline eyes to penetrate the abyss. It made her mildly uncomfortable yet that sensation passed with the unworldly presence of the flame under the liquid in the bowl. The reaction from Bit was not too surprising though Magda held herself calm and steady next to Nathan. She could feel the power that he wielded rolling through her, some of it placed within her so more could be drawn in order to manifest the vision around them. The library backdrop ceased to be, before the three of them began to witness another place and time. The hallways were foreign to Magda and the figures near impossible to make out. Only the paleness of their skin gave any indication to what they were. It was when the child came into focus that Magda heard more sound uttered from Bit than she had heard for the whole duration of the car ride. So this was the daughter. Magda made sure to commit the face to memory even if she was unsure yet as to Nathan's plans on finding the child. When her Master's concentration slipped, her eyes snapped to him before she felt the marks shift and their connection shrouded once more. Magda paid no mind to the fading vision or the library returning to normal. Instead she was hot on Nathan's trail as he moved toward the couch and dropped down onto it. The jaguar could feel her own weariness, but concern outweighed it as she moved to sit beside him; one leg curling under her so that she could face him. While the preperations for the scrying seemed so simple, it was taxing on the both of them. She wanted to offer her neck to him then and there so he could regain his strength, but instead Magda held her tongue and offered physical comfort instead; pressing her body against his side. The jaguar could have curled up to sleep if she wanted, but forced herself to remain vigilant and wait for her strength to naturally return to her. She glanced toward Bit, watching as the girl sobbed on the floor, "That was your daughter?" |

Relief flooded through the marks to Magda at her closeness. He hadn’t realized how draining this particular act was going to be, and he had already been fairly low on reserves. He had no one to blame but himself he knew, but that did not make things any different now that the act was done. Nathan’s usually pale skin was almost alabaster, his temperature probably chill enough to even break through the unnatural heat that Magda possessed. Yet it was that same heat that felt so good now, and as she was pressed against his side, the vampire shifted enough to be pressed closer to her still, bathing almost in the lycanthropic heat. Yet the very scent of the human was enough to put a fever in his eyes. The scent was weak, and yet strong at the same time, each heartbeat sending a tiny ‘whiff’ of her scent to him. He could not be around her right now, not for the immediate future at least. Human blood didn’t compare to a lycanthrope’s, but he could take so much more of hers. His thoughts clouded for a moment in a haze as the image of just taking her there, draining every last ounce of her blood, the last drops being the sweetest as her life’s blood would flow from her to him. The instant when the very spark of her mortal life would fade out and leave her soul bare to the world would take place then. And in that moment the vampire could have another soul…a servant to do as he wished. ’Andrew! I need the human gone before I break my word. She cannot leave, but she cannot stay here in the library either. She tempts fate by remaining longer…. The silent plea was sent out to the older man, and somewhere in the back of his mind he registered the man’s voice At once, sir. But it was a distant thought at that point, the feel of his thirst pushing rational thought to the very fringes of his mind, threatening to consume him in its raging desire to be sated. A low growl came from the vampire then; he was stronger than this, strong enough to ignore this base need until the human was gone. He fought with himself for what seemed like an eternity, Andrew coming in only making the burning worse as now two human were so close to him. But soon those two bits of temptation were gone, further away and not so present. Slowly rational thought was returning, a scholar’s mind analyzing the driving need his body had for blood and pushing it away until it was there, but contained somehow. A moment later the fire-like warmth of Magda hit him again, being so close, he wondered for a moment if this is what stepping into the sun would feel like. But no, this feeling was too good to be what the sun would feel like. The burning orb of death would hardly be as comforting as the warmth his closest companion was. With the human gone, Nathan turned fully towards Magda, his own pale grey eyes staring intently into the warm dark brown eyes of the woman before him. Ever so carefully, Nathan’s right hand lifted up, his index finger tracing lightly down the edge of her jaw until it came to came to a stop just above the strong pulse at her neck. Leaning in on the other side of Magda’s face, Nathan kissed her lips gently and then kissed down her jaw until he was just above the area that contained her pulse there. In a supreme act of self control, Nathan did not go for the strike, but instead prolonged the act for a moment as he buried his face into the side of her neck, taking in the warm human-feline scent that was so familiar to the vampire. She was the only person he would let his guard down for, the only one he trusted enough to relax the iron control he had on every aspect of his personal being. Nudging against her neck, his lips found the pulsing vein there, another kiss being placed before he’d hover there on the brink, fangs barely exposed and pressing ever so slightly against that point without breaking the skin. In an instant the thin veil between the marks lifted once more, his fangs sinking easily into the vein in her neck. Instantly that need to sate the burning rose to the surface; that first drop of blood igniting a pleasant burning throughout the vampire's body. More would follow quickly, Nathan using the unveiled marks to replace any of the pain that Magda would have felt with the surreal pleasure that Nathan himself would be feeling at the sudden rush of such an unnatural need being fulfilled. Relief, pleasure, need all fulfilled suddenly with the intake of the rich lycanthrope's blood. Edited by Nathan Baxton, Dec 24 2008, 04:16 PM.

The jaguar remained still and close to Nathan. She could feel his weariness through the marks and could tell physically that he had drained himself more than even he might have anticipated. The gaunt and ghostly look to his features were enough to worry Magda. She had seen him like that before and knew that he had pushed himself almost to the limit. Though with her being away from him had perhaps made it worse by knowing that he had not fed while she was gone. When Andrew entered the library, she knew that it must have been Nathan who had summoned him. The man was loyal and it showed now as he quietly grasped Bit by her arms and lifted her up in order to carry her out of the room. She was practically catatonic by the reaction on her face and the lack of any response when Magda had asked if that was her daughter. The silence was confirmation enough that the girl seen in the scrying was the human's long lost child. The growl from Nathan immediately turned her attention from the two as Bit was carried out to be returned to the city. Magda could see the hunger in his gaze and that he was exerting a great deal of restraint to fight off the hunger he no doubt felt. The jaguar pressed harder against him in comfort and genuine worry for her Master. She hated to see him in pain or uncomfortable or even feel it through the marks they shared. It was only when Bit and Andrew had left that Nathan seemed to snap out of it and turn his attention on his servant. She watched him intently, staring into those pale and near life-less eyes. The sensation of his icy fingers trailing over her jawline was barely noticed, even when he rested on the side of her neck. Willingly, her head moved to the side to allow him better access to her neck. Despite the coolness of his flesh, a soft purr was pulled from her throat when he buried his face into the hollow her neck and shoulder. The sound itself was near inhuman, the inner beast vibrating to the surface in response to the intimate attention. Magda's dark eyes melted away to burn golden before her eyes closed. The woman nuzzled against the side of his face, the soft and pleasant sounds continuing to vibrate in her throat. Her movements were incredibly feline as she gently shifted her cheek to rub it against him. The jaguar wanted nothing more than to wrap herself around him and cover him in her warmth and protection. When his fangs pierced her flesh, there was a flash that hit her all at once. Anyone else would have been prepared for pain and yet all that came was pleasure. It flooded every inch of her, radiating from the point of the bite and her tingle all over; from the tips of her fingers all the way down to her toes. The purring was cut by a sharp intake of breath before she exhaled in a moan against his ear. Nothing could compare to what she felt then; words meaningless to describe the pure ectasy of her Master's kiss. |
