”I think that maybe I could allow it. I think there would most definitely be a place for you in the Pack… if you choose to stick around a bit.” Matthew thought about this for a moment. Matthew considered himself a fairly smart man, and the gears of his mind churned away rather quickly at what the man said, and what it also implied. He hadn’t come out and said it however, but if Matthew was right, and he believed he was, this man was the Pack’s Ulfric. That didn’t change the situation or how Matthew would react and behave, he wasn’t actually IN the Pack yet, and didn’t feel honor bound to obey or act any differently. He didn’t think he’d act much differently even when he was in the Pack though. “I think it’ll be nice to be around others of my own kind again.” His gaze followed Jason’s, forcing him to shift around a little to see where he was looking at. ”I don’t think Jocelyn would be opposed… would you, Joss?” Matthew grinned a small, lopsided grin, fangs partially shown. So the little tawny wolfess had a name. Crossing his arms over his chest, Matthew focused his intense golden eyed stare to the area where the wolf had entered. |

Sub Wolf / Poor Joss
|
Joss felt as though she was holding her breath to see if Matt would accept the Ulfric's offer. For some reason she desperatly wanted him to stay, to be part of her pack. She let out that breath she was holding when Matt gave the slightly vague answer. Her head snapped up though as Jason called out to ask if she had any opposal to the offer. She cringed realizing it was stupid of her to assume that either of the men wouldn't realize she was there. Though she hoped she had shifted her gaze before Matt had noticed her staring. She emerged from the last of the trees seperating them with her arms wrapped around herself. Sleeves of her shirt long enough on her small frame to completely cover her hands as well. She kept her gaze on the ground as she emerged. Her eyes only glancing up a second to see Matt smirking down at her. Soon enough a blush spread across her cheeks, giving her a tiny bit of a rush and pushing back more of her exhaustion from her shift. "I have no opposition Ulfric. But I have no position in the pack. My opinions are only nominal. It is your decision that is important. But I know that my other half enjoyed her time with him and trusted him or she wouldn't have brought him here." Joss said trying to be reverant while also expressing to Matt that this was indeed the man in charge. Plus she hoped that she was right about her wolf. Her track record wasn't the best in trusting or judging people. Joss felt it a little odd that it wasn't the wolf alone that wanted their play companion to stay. She wanted him here too. As large and scary as he might seem he was the first that had gleefully played with her with no downright malice. The first and only to share his kill with her. She wondered if perhaps he wanted to stay, at least in part, because of her. Another quick glance up to the taller male and his golden eyes. Now that she was out in the open she was doing her best to keep her gaze from the rest of his naked and gorgeous body. Still too human thoughts. Edited by Jocelyn, Dec 22 2008, 02:36 PM.

Ulfric // Emi's Beau
|
The Ulfric watched carefully as Matthew seemed to contemplate the offer that he would be welcomed amongst the Pack and there was a place for him. Jason had not lied; he could see a potential place for the man if he chose to stick around long enough or even wanted to take a more involved part among the wolves. But as the minutes passed, Jason waited patiently for the man to come to a decision. It would definitely mean a change in his lifestyle in the fact that he would be among other wolves and actually have a roof over his head. If he had been traveling for three months alone, it was a big change to consider. “I think it’ll be nice to be around others of my own kind again.” With that Jason nodded, glad to see that the man had agreed. But before proceeding further, he directed his attention to the trees once more where he was certain Joss was at. Jason watched curiously as she emerged and looked to be hugging herself while staring at the ground. It was a true image of her submissiveness that reminded the Ulfric that Matthew had not taken advantage of it but rather had followed the girl home. No physical harm had come to her at all and given the size of Matthew's wolf form, it would have been an easy matter to kill her. It may have been gruesome to consider, but it was most definitely in Matthew's favor. "I have no opposition Ulfric. But I have no position in the pack. My opinions are only nominal. It is your decision that is important. But I know that my other half enjoyed her time with him and trusted him or she wouldn't have brought him here." "The opinion of your beast is something to take into account. Whether you realize it or not." His tone was light and reassuring before his hazel eyes returned to Matthew, "It might be a change for you... but there is a safe house as well. Out in the woods and away from the city. Jocelyn here is the caretaker." |

His smirk slowly changed into a genuine smile, a small smile, but genuine. The possibilities were suddenly there to fit in, leave the roaming behind and settle down into some semblance of a normal life. Because let’s face it, roaming the countryside as a wolf hardly counted for normal even for someone who had fully embraced his inner beast. If it ever happened that he were unable to shift back, then that was a whole different scenario to consider. But it wasn’t the case now. "I have no opposition Ulfric. But I have no position in the pack. My opinions are only nominal. It is your decision that is important. But I know that my other half enjoyed her time with him and trusted him or she wouldn't have brought him here." "The opinion of your beast is something to take into account. Whether you realize it or not.” Matthew listened to both of the pack wolves as they discussed him. His eyes lingered on Jocelyn as he saw her in her human form, taking in the details of this form as he had her wolf. His smile never left though, and soon enough they were done, the Ulfric, as he was indeed the Ulfric, turned back to him. ”It might be a change for you... but there is a safe house as well. Out in the woods and away from the city. Jocelyn here is the caretaker." Matthew nodded absently, glancing behind him towards the house in the distance. It was seemingly out in the middle of nowhere. Privacy would be at a premium here, and he doubted with a Pack of werewolves running around that there was much hunting in the area. Matthew saw no reason not to join with Jason and his Pack. “Jason…Ulfric…I would be honored to join you and your Pack if you would have me.” The words were simple enough to speak, though the meaning behind them much deeper and binding. Wolf packs were like a family group, so in a way it would be like he was suddenly gaining however many brothers and sisters in an instant. That is, if the Ulfric accepted him on Matthew’s terms. The human side understood that a leader was usually a leader for a reason. However the bestial side of him knew that leaders were chosen because they were the most dominant, the strongest, smartest, fastest, or even some combination of all three and that was why they stayed on top. So as a test of sorts, and to sate the feral instincts that ran rampant in him, Matthew smiled back at Jocelyn almost apologetically, then turned back towards Jason, head bowed towards the man. Then multiple things happened almost simultaneously. The first was that fur started flowing out of Matthew’s naked form effortlessly, without any of the warm, gooey liquid that accompanied most shifters when they changed forms. The second was that his smaller form grew almost three feet in height as his lycanthropic energy shot outwards like a hot desert wind. And the third thing that happened was the finalization of his shift as bones split, shifted, shrunk, and grew as his forelimbs elongated, hands now wielding ten wicked looking claws while his rear limbs now resembled those of a wolf, but larger and more muscular. The final change was the humanoid head now looking much more like that of a wolf, the golden eyes that he had at all times looking more natural in this head than that of his human part. With the shift to hybrid form complete, Matthew leaned forward, head remaining bowed with his wolfish ears lowered. His tail also dropped, more relaxed than tucked away, but no longer sticking out. Finally, Matthew dropped to one knee before the king of the wolves in Paris, only his shoulders moving with each breath that he drew in, his eyes looking towards the ground between himself and Jason. It was now his decision on what he would do. |

Sub Wolf / Poor Joss

Joss nodded to her Ulfric. Knowing he would speak wisely of her opinion. A small glance over at Matt to see he was smirking at her, she blushed quickly and turned away before she was tempted to once again look over his body like some silly teenager. She could feel him gazing at her though and that warmed her heart quite quickly. When he spoke of accepting his place within the pack Joss almost yipped for joy aloud. When he turned to her with a look of apology though she looked confused. When he began shifting again after accepting Jason's offer Joss got confused. Jason had already scene his wolven form. It didn't take long though for Joss to realize it was the hybrid form he was acheiving. She didn't understand it. Why had he looked at her apologetically. As if she would reject one more side of him? Sure she couldn't reach this form, but that was no reason to fear or hate it. There was so much she couldn't do, what was one more thing. Was the display for Jason's benefit. So make him aware of the depth of his power. Joss was still learning all the semantics of pack life. She had hoped perhaps Matt had understood as much or less then her so they could learn and live together. But she would welcome any company in the large empty safe house. Confused by this hybrid shift Joss turned her attention towards Jason. To see what his reaction would be. |

Ulfric // Emi's Beau
|
“Jason…Ulfric…I would be honored to join you and your Pack if you would have me.” It was ritual. The lukoi was grounded in ceremony, rules and traditions that had been passed down for years ever since the first Pack settled on this path of woods as their territory. It was also instinct that was grounded in wolves and so, had been passed on to werewolves. The sense of order within a Pack as well as the territorial nature of their beasts. Though all of those things sometimes felt awkward, at least to Jason, while in human form. At least it seemed that Matthew's preference for wolf form made it much easier. The buzz of heat that flowed over them when the man shifted jerked at Jason's beast almost instantly. The inner wolf reacting to what seemingly felt like a challenge. As if Matthew's own metaphysical energy was encroaching upon Jason's. It took control and skill to ensure that it did not escalate beyond discomfort; though in a way what Matthew had done by shifting was a challenge. Strange in a way, but it was a challenge as if to Jason to display his leadership and why he is Ulfric. It showed that Matthew was rather independant as well and no doubt not willing to submit so easily to others. Jason reached up to pull his shirt over his head and drop it on the ground beside him without a word. The pants and boxers came next, belt unbuckled to let them drop before he stepped out of them and his shoes and boots following shortly after until the Ulfric was as nude as Matthew had been. In echo of what Matt had done, Jason released the restraints on his beast and allowed his metaphysical aura to rush outward, as hot and dry as the Mojave. His skin felt as if it was being pelted by searing sand while it radiated outward. Almost as easily as the half shifted wolf in front of him, Jason also began to change. A mixture of grey, tawny and brown fur sprouted over his form and covered his nudity while his body transitions to the epitome of werewolves. The hybrid form the perfect union of man and beast as Jason's height increased to around eight feet, though slightly hunched. Within seconds the shift had completed in a fluid motion until there were two hybrid wolves inches from each other. The other wise cool forest felt as if it was ablaze by the constant warring energy of two dominants. Towering over Matthew's kneeling form, Jason moved closer before he leaned down to snuff at the man. The movements were animalistic in nature, the beast and man merged into one while sating the need to inspect the newcomer to the Pack. His muzzle brushed close to the side of Matthew's neck and stopped there. It would be incredibly easy for Jason to rip out the new male's throat. To sink into his flesh and tear out those beating arteries. It seemed to last an eternity before the Ulfric finally withdrew his head and rose up to his full height, "You are welcome to run with us." The words were, gutteral and rough at best, no where close to Jason's normal voice as it vibrated inside his barrel-chest. |

As big, as strong, as intimidating as he knew he was or could be, kneeling like this felt unnatural, too human for the wolf. Most basic needs that a human had, a wolf also had, but he was hardly submissive, and this human display of subservience didn’t sit well. Who was he to trust some unknown werewolves that were part of a Pack? And yet he was doing just that as Jason moved towards him, clawed feet and fur covered leg the only thing the werewolf could see. Panic almost set in, though emotion overrode the flee instinct, and Matthew remained stoically still and in place. He waited, eyes closing as his head bowed forward slightly lower for that instant where the Ulfric might find him lacking in some unspect, unworthy to join his Pack. The human outcome would have been a simple dismissal…but for the wolves, it usually came to a fight, and with werewolves death could be easy. Matthew was reminded all too easily of this fact when the Ulfric’s muzzle paused ext to his neck, the main artery between his head and body barely a hair’s breadth away. An eternity later, Jason pulled away, the half-beast voice almost primal sounding as he spoke. ”You are welcome to run with us.” And like that, the wayward wolf had found his proverbial flock. Exuberance suddenly filled his massive form. In no time at all, quite unexpectedly, Matthew had found a place of acceptance. Unable to contain the feelings that merely belonging evoked, the hybrid wolf stood back up. The moonlight filtering through the night sky caught his attention then, golden orbs locked onto the pale silvery orb in the sky. “On my honor I’ll run, live, and die by your side as long as our path runs the same.” The howl that came after Matthew’s words was so full of emotions that it was hard to describe. A full baritone that conveyed the joy, happiness, relief, excitement, yet also carried the undertones of mourning and weariness, though most howls seemed eerily haunting in that manner. Abruptly it died, Matthew looking back and forth between Jason and Jocelyn, eyes narrowed. He wasn’t some child that couldn’t control himself, but his beast was very insistent in this matter, and the joy was felt by him entirely. His gaze lightened then, looking at the clothed Joss, then to Jason’s clothing there and chuckled slightly, though it came out more as a rumbled wheeze-sounding noise than a laugh. “I’ll need clothes.” He couldn’t help the laughter that followed, and his shift was as smooth as it had been that first time as the half-beast became a man once again, the twinkle of laughter still in his golden eyes as he calmed himself mentally. |

Sub Wolf / Poor Joss

Joss's eyes were moving back and forth like a tennis match as she watched the newly changed hybrid form of Matt go to kneel before Jason. Then Jason started stripping and Joss's eyes immediatly went to the ground. It was out of respect for the dominants and also because she had already been drooling over Matt and felt bad about it. But blatant staring at another male was not going to help the situation any better. She knew she should be comfortable with nudity, especially amongst her pack, but when she was so uncomfortable with others seeing hers she tried... tried to afford others the same curtesy. Somehow, though all the same appendages or bits were there in the hybrid form, with the fur Joss felt it was alright to look. And saw when she heard the shift, scented the change in the air, heard the crunch of the leaf covered ground as Jason stepped forward her head lifted a little to watch the interaction. The acknowledgement of submission from Matt to Jason was almost hard to watch. For Joss it had been easy to submit to the dominant Ulfric, she somehow knew it wouldn't be as easy for Matt though. It seemed to be forever that Jason was scenting Matt. His muzzle at Matt's vulnerable exposed throat. Joss inched forward but stopped herself. She couldn't intervene. And she shouldn't want to. It was Jason's decision as Ulfric. She had spoke for Matt as much as she could, as was her place. And she had only just met him. But her heart was hammering with fear. As if she would be crushed if Jason did not accept Matt. And then he did. And Joss's shoulders sagged in relief. Matt's head tilting back to the sky. What he spoke though touched her deeply. She wished she had had the words to express like Matt did when Jason had accepted her. The howl made her jump. But the emotion behind it even Joss could recognize. It pulled at her lips into a smile and made her want to run and hug and welcome Matt. But many things stopped her. First his hybrid form was a little scary. Secondly she wasn't sure he would accept it, thirdly she wasn't sure Jason would question it. Joss couldn't help the snort of laughter as Matt spoke of clothes. Such a sudden random change of direction. And then his fur was receding. And Joss's head quickly snapped back to the ground. "I don't think anything of mine will fit you. I could run into town... pick something up..." Joss offered. |

Ulfric // Emi's Beau

The howl that tore from Matthew's throat once he had been accepted encouraged the Ulfric to roll his own head back to join in the short chorus. It seemed a fitting way to end the man's acceptance into the Pack. When Matthew's ended, so did Jason as the hybrid man side stepped to be able to look at both Joss and Matt at the same time. Given how massive and muscular Matthew's wolf form and even hybrid form was, it was amusing to see the pure joy in his movements and wolven expression. Though the way the gray wolf looked between Jason and Joss made the Ulfric tilt his head curiously. "I'll need clothes." While the laughter that followed might have been disturbing to some, it resulted in a grin of his own spreading over Jason's muzzle. Instead of commenting though he willed his body to change again, pushing down the beast within to force the fur back into his skin and his bones and muscles to reshape until he was human once more. The whole change taking only a few seconds longer than Matthew's. Jason's eyes traveled to Joss, noting how she kept her head down while the two of them had shifted. It was amusing but more of a 'cute' way considering he knew that she was simply being respectful, "I have a few clothes stashed at the house, might be a bit long but it would probably do for now." Speaking of clothes, Jason bent down to gather up his own clothes, stepping back into the pair of boxers and jeans before he pulled the shirt over his head. For now he opted to go barefooted, not bothering with the socks or boots by instead tucking them under his arm, "Of course if you need anything at all you just need to ask. I live in the city myself but I'm out here as often as I can be. But you are free to make yourself at home. Plenty of bed space and lots of privacy. 'Course Joss can give you the grand tour as well." He shrugged his shoulders a little but wanted to make sure that Matthew felt comfortable in his new surroundings. |
