Cobras
The Pendulant Quiver
General Information:
- A group of Cobras is called a Quiver
- Cobra lycanthropy is harder to catch than Rat or Wolf lycanthropy but easier to catch than cat based lycanthropy strains.
- Much like most lycan groups, the cobras have a male and female leader and separate the alphas and pawns.
- Unlike mammal and bird based lycanthropies, when one transforms into a cobra for the first time, they transform into a human sized half form with limbs, tails and sharp talons.
- Only the most powerful cobras can transform fully into giant man eating serpents. (think of the movie ‘anacondas’)
- A fully transformed cobra will have heightened speed, strength and senses as well as extrasensory perception.
- Cobras also have the ability to breed. A female has the choice of giving birth to a baby the human way or by laying eggs as a snake. Like other lycanthropy strains, the transformation to animal form is very violent and will terminate any unborn fetus in development.
- Born cobras always have the ability to shift to their full form. They are also more powerful (both physically and metaphysically) and have a tendency to live longer & healthier lives than attack turned werecobras.

The Serpent System:
This is the full model of the cobra system and is known only to all those with Slardar/Slithene status and above.
Kashyapa: - The male leader of the werecobras
Kadra: - The female leader of the werecobras
Vel’Quals
- Highest in ranking Alpha members of the Quiver
- They are the Cobra Leaders’ right hands and most loyal followers.
- They often serve as advisors and council to the Kashyapa or Kadra
- They will be the first to volunteer and to carry out urgent or risky matters or extract information.
Slardar/Slithene (Male are Slardar, Female Slithene)
- The title given to most influential and dominant members of the Quiver
- They are under the Vel’Quals in rank and are able to act on behalf the Leader if conditions allow. However, secrecy must be kept at all times.
- They most commonly do bodyguard and ceremonial work. They may also participate as vipers (spies or assassins)
Vosilin
- The general populace of werecobras consisting of born adult cobras and experienced attack survivors.
- They may participate in small events relating to the Kashyapa/Kadra’s orders.
- Some specific roles they have normally of fighting for the Kashyapa/Kadra’s cause, gathering street intelligence for the quiver and often looking after Serlvents.
Serlvent
- The name that is given to child cobras and newly turned and inexperienced adults.
- Although all Serlvents are low in rank, born cobras still are slightly higher in rank than attack survivors.
- Throughout their lives child cobras are taught the values of loyalty and pride in the name of the quiver.
Body System
All members and outsiders have knowledge of this version of the werecobra system.

Kadra: - The female leader of the werecobras
Vosilin
- The general populace of werecobras consisting of born adult cobras and experienced attack survivors.
- Ranked by loyalty and closeness to the leader
Serlvent
- The name that is given to child cobras and newly turned and inexperienced adults.
- Although all Serlvents are low in rank, born cobras still are slightly higher in rank than attack survivors.
- Throughout their lives child cobras are taught the values of loyalty and pride in the name of the quiver.
