Hyenas
- A group of werehyenas is called a Cackle, or a clan.
- The females are the physically stronger of this group, and a female leader is far more common than a male one
- They are rumored to be more intelligent than other clans. This is purely speculation though.
- Bouda - The werehyena version of the lukoi name used by wolves. (Based on an African tribe that have been attributed to having the power to shapeshift into hyenas)
Current Cackle Developments
The Oba has vanished without a trace. Rumors speculate that she was part of the missing lycanthropes while others believe that she was murdered. Regardless of her whereabouts or motives, the three Imara have torn themselves apart in an attempt to dominate the other for leadership resulting in a leaderless Cackle...
HYENA HIERARCHY
Oba:
Lucrezia Ferraro
The leader of the Hyenas
The Imara:
The collective name that refers to the three strongest females of the Cackle. They serve as confidants and informants to the Oba and maintain the Clan when the Oba is not available. They each have a rank title, but are considered equals to each other.
Sikio (Ear), Jicho (Eye), Sauti (Voice)
Mlinzi and Askari
Cali Jaeger (A)
Enforcers of the Cackle - They settle disputes between members if fights get out of hand.
Jumbe
This is the name of the strongest male, usually elected by the other male hyenas to speak on their behalf.
Mtumishi
The group which all males are under, regardless of strength or alpha status.
Oshun
Challenger to Oba (See Yoruba mythology; Oba and Oshun were rivals).
