Shapeshifter Information

Your Basic Shapeshifter
- Shapeshifter have superhuman strength.
- Shapeshifter have heightened senses - even in human form. Their sense of smell is amazing and most creatures smell like food. .
- They're all are amazingly agile and graceful, even in human form.
- They are ‘allergic’ to silver, anything silver leaves a scar.
- They can heal quickly. The stronger the lycanthrope, the more damage they can heal.
- They age like regular humans, unless under unusual circumstances. (Triumvirate with a vampire, for example.)
- They are immune to disease.
- All shapeshifters are heavily dependent on touch and do so very casually. When a member is injured, increased touch helps them heal faster.
- They have two forms: Half-beast and full-beast. Half beast is a anthrope version of their animal and is upright, and as tall if not a bit taller than the human form. Full-beast looks fully like their animal.
- In animal form a shifter will act like said animal. The human is in there, and can understand if spoken to, but the beast is in charge.
- They have to change at full moon, but the more powerful can change outside this time as well. Lesser shapeshifters sometimes lose control and change shape due to extreme emotional distress (fear, sadness, during sex).
- A change outside a full moon takes a lot of energy.
- Alphas can partially change (ie, grow claws, change eyes, etc) at will.
- If they spend too much time in animal form, and they can’t change some parts back (ie, keep the wolf eyes, or small kitty cat fangs, or worse).
- Females can NOT have kids (they violently turn into animals once a month, hard to keep a fetus comfy when that happens, it will spontaneously abort). The exceptions to this are inherited species only: species that can lay eggs (snakes), or those not closely related to the full moon and can thus pass their beast to avoid shifting (currently only tigers and cougars), or are not infection based shifters (swans).
- Outside of those species, lycanthropy can only be passed on via infection through scratching or bitching when one is partially or fully shifted
- New weres have little to no control. The more experience shapeshifters are supposed to help the newer weres to control themselves, but often do not.
- When a were begins to lose control, things happen like their eyes bleeding to that of their 'beast'. Use your imagination here.
- Punishment, as with vamps, is swift and usually brutal, and death is one of them.
- Weres coming to Paris to join whatever group, or even just to visit, need permission from the leaders of said groups. Without permission, they will most likely be killed.
