New Orleans, Modern day. Have you ever wondered: What if vampires, werewolves, zombies and all those other creatures of our imagination, myth and legend were real and living in today's world? How would we deal with them? How would the existence of the undead affect our inheritance laws? Would lycanthropy be a crime or an unfortunate medical condition? Could a person make a decent living raising the dead? We live in a universe where things that go bump in the night aren't faerie tales, in fact, those tales are based in truth. It is a world where humans live alongside and with vampires, werewolves, zombies and witches, demons and dragons are part of the everyday world. This is our world....  After Hurricane Katrina the local preternatural communities either thrived or fell. Those that stayed are finally picking up the pieces as more people move in, and moved on. The culture still runs strong through the streets of New Orleans. The things that go bump in the night are living right next door and the vampires have gone public. Will chaos ensue, or will this large city work through it all to rebuild and become a great city once more?
