"Feel free to park it anywhere Joy." Niice and professional. With a grin Nathaniel listeneed as Pierce spoke - cocky, just like he'd always been. Surprise surprise. Walking to a chair by the window, he went to sit down. Elsewhere, on a building site just across the road - a crane was moving some rather big, rather heavy concrete slabs. Unfortunately the driver of said crane's cell phone rang just as Nathaniel was going to sit down over in Colville & Clowes, and distracted, the man let go of the controls.. allowing the part of the crane holding the cement blocks to go spinning out of control for just one brief moment. By the time the man realised what'd happened and returned the machine into the needed position for his work, it was too late. One of the smaller concrete slabs had escaped the crane, and had been sent flying all the way across the road, right through the window of one Pierce Hannah's office. Not even having the time to turn his head (something probably for the rest), Nathaniel was knocked unconscious before even realising what had happened. Some time during this unconsciousness, his mind began to wonder.... He was taken back - back years, back to when he was in college. It was a party; a rather wild party at that. The wolf wasn't attending alone, heaven's no. What could be considered his friend and doormate was right there alongside him, the both of them out and looking for a night of fun. Or at the very least, they would've been, were it not for that one annoying extra presence. Why the hell had she had to come? It was as if everywhere that Pierce went Brittany Joanne Smith was to follow. Like a sheep. Now that he thought about it, she even looked like one too, if you squinted your eyes just right.. "Please tell me we can ditch her and just hook up with some randoms-- soon?" Not really knowing or caring if Brittany heard him or not, Nathaniel knew that if they didn't get away from the blonde soon she'd be dragging them down the entire evening. Or at least, would be dragging Pierce down. |
