Nova looked about his new surroundings. Reminding himself that this was all for the best. His ideals didn't mesh well with all of the council. And his public persona was getting too well known for him to be entirely safe walking around in any position of authority. If he had remained on the council it was without a doubt that he would be attacked for his beliefs and actions not just from the insane Iveriot revolution but from his own kind as well. No this was better. Distancing himself from the council would keep them safer while he stuck his neck out further and further. The TV played in the background as Nova picked up todays latest papers. He scanned the headlines as he tried not to feel so alone. Tonight he would have to start his own revolution. Tonight he would plot. Tomorrow he would have to enact. Things could not go on as they were. Things had to change. And if he had to do that himself so be it. The voice from the TV made him look up. It was his own. From the TV: "I will be reporting back to my own government on what Madame Iveriot is doing. It is inhumane and goes against the very laws of freedom. She is the new Hitler and I for one am disgusted by every action she has taken against the citizens of France. And I am not speaking of the vampires here but the humans themselves. You are being policed as well. I would say get out to all of you with common sense." Nova dramatically swung his tattered scarf around his neck before turning and heading up the stairs to his private jet. News Reporter: "Well those were the parting shots from the famed US Vampire. And may I say only that I am thankful that my government is looking after ME Monsier Nova." The jet is seen taking off in the background of the TV as Nova turns back to his newspapers. "I really need a speech writer." He mumbles to himself. |
