The foreign streets recognized themselves but spoke to themselves and not Ennid, they were silent to his icy stare. It concerned him little, as even with their concentrated conspiracy, his destination could not be faltered. Ennid sought his location fluently as water were to flow downhill. From the scent, the overbearing arrogant flavour of impotent officials and noxious personalities, France made herself welcome to Ennid once more. The implication of a fairytale released a mysterious smile, open and exposed unlike on previous occasions. His limbs lacked the wisdom to continue clutching his red splattered burden, but his focused mind held, and illuminated knowledge past the shadows of enduring pain. Ennid's prize would remain lost with him now as his recognition began steadily accelerating. The silence which surrounded his world broke, whispers began, and the streets of France recalled as they had and spoke once more. Ennid looked forward to the east, and once again he saw that twilight had come to dance with him. Ennid bowed lightly, and began to saunter across the streets. His partner had yet to peek above the earth, yet Ennid continued through, recalling direction and the steady rhythm of Paris. Twilight complimented him with an even flowing pace, rising steadily and decisively. The dance was stopped short, as Ennid arrived to the familiar luxuries which receive his distractions of him. The furnace was well remembered, its thrashing heat tarnishing his personal decorative. His hand released, and allowed the viscous red to soak into the floor. The Roma of Germany and the Rom of Belgium did appear as the King and Queen of France once did, although when their heads fell, it was a fine sharper blade which fell and gave a clean cut. Ennid was curious though, time in France was not infinite nor did it seize up as he departed. Perhaps he would let the Quiver find him. |
