Her eyes narrowed as she felt her lion just called and then Gerard's attempt to push back into it's box. Neither she nor her lion liked trying to be caged like that. It was like a tease. To be asked out then the door slammed in your face. Deal's lip pulled up into a slight snarl. "I don't know this sorta feel's like a test." Deal almost, to be spiteful used her power, to keep her beast out of it's cloisters. But then that would be apparrent that she was just being spiteful. Having already admitted that having her beast roaming just under the surface unnerved her. She liked to keep her beast in check. Bring it out and put it away on her terms. So with her own added control she coaxed her beast back into it's internal cage. Promising it time to roam later just as Gerard promised it time to play. "I have complete control of my beast. I don't need you too..." She started to argue but cut herself off as Gerard returned to the topics of wine. With a sigh she followed his lead. "Yes Reds. Meat. Good choice." Deal commented. She had already told him that she prefered red wines. But he seemed to prefer believing he had come up with every good idea ever known to man and god forbid anyone else around him have an original thought. WIth a roll of her eyes she let him lead the way on. She was seriously debating the merit of saving Chuck's ass. And she was also seriously bothered by that part of her that was actually comfortable with Gerard's assinine, leading, alpha male ways. That part of her that she had hidden away. That part of her that she denied with every Rex she had defied. That part of herself that reminded her of the weakling nobody she had been before she had forced the change upon herself. |

The patience the vampire had for such antics were quickly starting to come to an end. He had tried to be polite and civil but it seemed as though this woman had every desire to be taught the hard way just exactly where her place in this world, his world was. In this moment she belonged to him in every way and if he so chose to end her life out of annoyance well the vampire council would find no harm in it for as long as he kept his part of the deal up. He would need to keep her dead body on the premises for the promised three months and all would be perfect. It was tempting but that would deprive him of the resource that he originally bargained for and no one would stop his plans for coming through. Her entire attitude since she first met the vampire had been an affront seemingly on a personal level and to make matters worse it was all a front, a façade. The façade was coming to an end tonight, right now. When they arrived into the wine cellar he paused letting go of her arm so that she can explore on her own the countless reds that were present. The hallway was almost as long as the house itself filled with bottles seemingly from every corner of the world and every year imaginable. This was just one of the many cellars of the Anlui Manor not even counting the cellars dedicated to white wines. The cellar also had one additional intrinsic benefit, no one could hear any screams that originated from its source. Giving her a moment to look around he studied her carefully, using every last one of his senses to get a nearly perfect image of what was going through the lioness’ body and mind physically before speaking again. “The charade is over now Dhelia, do you think you can hide such from me. The way that your body and your mind yearns for that which I can give that you have searched for all this time. The one thing that you have fought since you have arrived through the doors to be in my presence and even upon our first and second meeting. You want to be taken Dhelia” his voice slowly started to become softer forcing her to listen even more carefully to her every word. “The slight thrill that started when you first made the agreement with me, the thought of belonging to someone, being owned by them in every way. To have your body, mind and even your very spirit taken over and over again and used for their own pleasures. It has been what you secretly have been trying to hide beneath this exterior, your desire for it all.” The vampire did not wait for a response, he did not need it he knew he was right. With a quick turn he started to walk towards the exit knowing full well that she would follow and that too would reinforce him point. |

Deal had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep from saying anything further as he lead her down into the lower levels of the manor. Finally they were in the naturally called cellar surrounded by racks and racks of red wines. When he released her arm she took it as the indication it was to roam about and look at the wines. Of course it was impressive and she expected no less. But she was slightly surprised that his impressive collection also held cheaper more excessable brands and years. He really had everything. She thought as her hands passed over a group of wines from her favorite year. His voice caught her attention and she lifted her head to look at him. Her eyebrow cocking up wondering what the hell he was talking about now. She held out her hands wondering what he was talking about. She had no place to hide anything on her person. Her head cocked to the side. *What he could give?* She was listening intently. FOr a moment very confused about what he was babbling about. Then suddenly stiffened at what he said. "You want to be taken Dhelia." She was stiff staring at him as he went on. There was no way he could know that, understand that. Her mouth was slightly agape the rise and fall of her chest a little more apparrent suddenly as her heart raced in her chest as he spoke of being owned. Her mind was racing. Perhaps she had been hiding behind this exterior but she had also learned that there was no one really that could take her, control her, tame her. Because of this exterior all she had done was discover weakness in others. And she had exploited it and used it for her gain. Over the years she had grown into this facade because there was no one that could own her. No one. They had all failed, or died at her hands for their inability to do so. Had it just taken years to find something? Someone? Who could fullfill the dark need that she kept locked away and fought to find everyday. Suddenly she realized he was leaving walking away from her after laying out this bomb shell. She jumped to follow him. "Hey... Hey!" She cried after him. "What makes you think you know me so well. Why can't you just accept a woman as a strong willed person. Or an authority figure?" Deal tried to meekly call after him. Thankful that she was wearing her boots so she could quickly catch up with him. |

It was like someone hit the poor lion upside the head with a large blunt object the way she reacted to his words. It was a simple observation, one that the vampire had known all along and had slowly proven it as the night went on. He was further confirmed in his observation when her body agreed directly with what he said. Her mouth fell open her heart beat sped up and it was like she could barely take a breath. Human minds were so fragile and so predictable even when their deepest darkest secret was worn on their sleeve for anyone who knew what to look for could see. When he turned and started to walk away he knew she would follow. It was further evidence that he had been completely right about the lioness. Not that the vampire was ever wrong about his assumptions without people when he had all of the information at hand. She called out for him as he heard the deep noises of the combat boots that she decided to wear echo through the cellar. He did not stop especially after she thought it was because of his view on women with authority. The truth of the matter was he enjoyed women with authority, enjoyed taking away their defenses piece by piece until they were no more them a lamb. It was one of his favorite past times. Until she openly admitted to his statement he would refuse to acknowledge her. Dhelia was an intelligent woman and would most likely figure it out before he made it back to his study. If he arrived there without an open admittance from her the night would be over until he requested her again. |

It frustrated her more that he would not answer her when she called out to him. She hurried to pull up to walk beside him. NOt sure where he was going he wouldn't even look at her as the ascended out of the wine cellar. "So that's it your just going to lay your opinion out and not discuss it any further?" Still nothing as they walked on. Deal moving to keep up with him as her frustration grew. Her heartbeat sped up in it's frustration. "Fine." She said suddenly stopping even as he continued to move on. She stopped in the hallway. Frustrated her teeth grinding together. "Fine you've uncovered my deep dark secret. I want to be taken. I want to ... to belong to someone. But there has been no one I've ever come across who could hold me. Who could take me and claim me." Deal blurted in the middle of his hall. "No one and so I stopped looking for it and became who I am today." She admitted full out. To her Gerard was the closest she had ever come. But part of her still wanted to rip his head off. Part of her still wondered if she could. And the greater part of her wondered if she could submit to him. If he would take her. If he wanted her. In that way. Just because he had figured her out. Didn't mean he was the one wanting. Deal knew that. And maybe that's what made her even more frustrated. If he didn't want her. If he didn't take her own her for more then this petty dinner and a tour bullshit she felt like she would still be unfullfilled. She stood there in the hallway waiting, anticipating. And for the first time in a long time. Scared. |

Time was slowly ticking away from the lioness that trailed behind him. It was no longer about his time and the rights that he had claimed on her life from this point on she would be unable to escape him. Well she could try but many have before and his reached extended around the globe so there was no real escape except for the gift of death. But even that was limited for their was always a necromancer willing to pay off a portion of their debt to the Master Manipulator and would be all too willing to raise her corpse upon the slightest request from Gerard. He continued to listen as she suddenly stopped and he heart the distinct sound of two hard surfaces grinding in the otherwise quiet cellar, obviously her teeth as she came to grips what he truly said. Without turning he slowed and spoke softly so that she would be strained to hear him unless she finished catching up to him. “You forget one thing Dhelia, as far as claims go I have all ready done that. When you are within my time you belong to me. Your body, your mind, your spirit and everything in-between are mine. In essence, you all ready belong to me.” He knew the kind of effect that simple statement would have on the lioness. It would excite the parts of her that had rested dormant for too long. The parts of her that yearned to be owned and for her to simply belong, to no longer have to fight for every last thing. As he scented the tell tale sign of fear he continued to walk up the stairs awaiting for her to join him. Once they exited the cellar there would be the heels that she disregarded at the beginning of the night waiting for her outside the door. The choice would be hers if she decided to put them on and that choice would begin to influence how the night continued. |

Her eyes closed as he turned to speak softly. Her sensitive hearing picked up every word. But it wasn't an easy thing. His words were there the truth of them too but she had yet to experience all that he said. Not in the way she needed and craved. To her though he had bartered and schemed his 'ownership' of her it was not how she wanted and craved to be taken. So far he had only proved to frustrate her and feed her. Yes she was here at his will and dressed as he wanted. But she craved and needed more. Until that came to pass it wouldn't fullfil her desires and needs. "For scattered moments of time. You own me yes... but right now I'm nothing more then a dress up doll and a stomach." She spoke softly then paused standing there as he turned and walked up the stairs. "You may own me in the way you say but your not exactly using your ownership to it's fullest extent." She waited till he was near the top of the stairs. "You're not the Master I've been dreaming off." She barely whispered the last. "Not yet." With a sigh she followed him up the stairs. She was still fearful. Fearful that she had finally found someone to own her. But not to the fullfillment of what she needed. It would be her luck to finally get something she craved only to have it not be what she really wanted. She emerged back out of the stairs standing in the doorway not even noticing the shoes set off to the side. Her eyes were only on Gerard. "You own me... yes... But... But... perhaps the night is still young." She whispered, faltering, standing there staring at him. Part of her wondered what she could do to get him to take control more. To take her... Then she had to think to herself. Was it just the need in her... for a Master. Or did she want GERARD. With the thought her eyes were roving over his form debating. He was attractive. Though his suits and demeanor made him seem like more gentlemen then she was used to. Though the longish hair countered that a bit. But still he was entirely so well put together that it countered and changed the image of the dark, dangerous, powerful faceless Master she had pictured in her head. Perhaps a more organized and put together Master would be more to the truth. But still the fear reigned. Because he hadn't made his intentions clear. What type of ownership this would be. So far it was not like anything she had ever dreamed of or craved. It was completely frustrating. And yet that was part of his allure. The frustration he caused in her. She moved to follow him, get closer to him when her feet kicked at something she hadn't even seen at her feet. She watched the black pump skid across the floor and looked down to see it's mate at her feet. It took her a moment to realize they were the same spiked heels that had been brought to her room when she had donned the clothes he wanted her in. The same ones she had ignored when her boots had been left with her. Suddenly it wasn't just about the fact that heels made her wobbly, heels made her unsteady on her feet, unable to run. It was also the embarrassment factor. And that scared her most of all. She didn't want Gerard to laugh at her. She knelt picking up the one shoe and holding it by the strap, letting it dangle off her finger. How and why had they gotten here in the first place. How could he be 10 steps ahead of where they were? How could he know where their conversation would go. "Tell me." She suddenly said. Demanding he vocalize what the shoes being here meant. There were few things the exceptionally trained vampire missed and even fewer when it was within the confines of his own house. Here he held absolute power and every danced and moved to his whim or to some internal unshared plan. The lioness was no exception to any of these rules. She continued to protest but it was just to keep up appearances at best and when she whispered he felt the hint of it and knew it was just time now. He had the time, bargained it away from her at no cost to him and it would not take too much longer to have her just where he wished her to be. Then the real training would begin and that was also meticulously planned down to the minute. Her pulse continued to race with each step that she came closer, even her voice betrayed the desire that was starting to build within her. It called to him like a quiet whisper of a siren he knew it was there and there would be no denying it now for the lioness. She had accepted that he had known all along about her other darker side and as he continued to walk he felt her eyes on him. The way they raked over him in an appraising manner sizing him up. He would pass her expectations and even if he did not it would be no large loss there were other plans he could use her for. Then she did something that he had never quite experienced before at least not in recent memory. She ordered him to order her to put the shoes on. It took a rather large portion of his control to not start laughing right then and there but Gerard Demorte Anlui had control in spades and then some. If she had asked him politely what the use of the heels were or what he required of her he would have answered but since she failed to speak to him in proper tones and titles he ignored her once more and continued to walk down the hall, without her. |

She waited. Sure he would say something. Either snap at her for being a demanding fool when he was the one in charge... or something. She did not expect him to continue walking away. She had admitted to wanting what he had spoke had admitted it! But now he was just walking away from her... from her needs. The frustration building so quickly in her that her chest felt as though constricted. Was he just toying with her. Stating blatantly what she needed and craved, giving her hope that he would give it to her. Then just ignoring her and it all. She stared after him for a long pause in desperate need of command and direction. And the frustration when she received none. With an almost audible whimper she scrambled to pick up the other shoe she had haphazardly kicked away and hurried to catch up to him. The shoes dangling from her fingers she moved to quickly scoot in front of him. Trying to block his path though she didn't stop she merely walked backwards. "IS this just a game. Getting me to reveal all my dark secrets?" She asked of him. Perhaps he did indeed have no interest in dominating her. Only humiliating her in her admittance of the truth of it. She certainly felt the fool for it now. Because until he showed any outward sign of wanting to dominate or control her she would not and could not submit to him. She would not humiliate herself by submitting or begging to someone who did not want her in that aspect. She had grown too much pride over her years alone to do that. He would have to make some move. Some show, or words about what he wanted before she could submit. She had asked him for it and he had denied her. And now she was asking again. "Please..." She begged softly finally trying to stop before him. Her eyes filled with need and a long unchecked hunger. |

It was easy to see what the lioness wanted in every movement and word she spoke while under his roof. She had demanded orders from him but that was not how the game was played. She would have to submit first then she would get what her body and mind desperately wanted. She wanted to be owned, to be taken in every way and the only way that she could express those desires was to try and take them. That would not work with the vampire and she would have to learn such a lesson now. He continued to walk away from her as she stood there most likely with mouth agape. Gerard could be everything she had ever wanted and dreamed of but first she would have to prove herself worthy of such attention. That would take time but all ready they had made accelerated progress and the time required in this investment was all ready starting to quickly pay off. When she crossed in front of him he did not stop walking until she finny turned the demand into a question with a pleading tone. He stopped with his body and mouth inches from her skin. It would only take a stray thought and their bodies would be touching and he spoke back to her. Her please was missing a very important part especially after the display that was given to him before. “Please, what?” his words were soft and if she tried hard enough she could probably feel the slight warmth present in his lips that was stolen when he rose for the night. |

She thought he wasn't going to stop. That she was either going to have to move out of his way or wait for him to walk right into her. And what would that accomplish besides the fact t hat she wasn't invisible. DAMMIT! She fought with the indecision to move or stay. The clear worry over which to do etched over her face as she begged him. He stopped. His body was as close to hers as it could be without actually touching. He spoke and the words brushed her ear with a warm breath. Her mind seemed to draw blank. How could she put into words what she was asking for? And if she could put it into words would he just be going along with it if he did, by some chance, go for it. She wanted to be taken, controlled. She didn't want to be leading things. But he was ignoring her, walking away from her. How was she suppose to convey what she wanted what she needed if he was walking away? If she didn't say something? It was all entirely frustrating and confusing. Plus she was at war with herself. Wanting to prove that she didn't need anyone. Didn't need controlling. Etc. But she wanted it so bad. "Please..." She started not sure how to put things into words. The fear and frustration was so clear from her. "Please... Master... " She whispered about ready to bolt if that didn't do the trick. She was utterly humiliating herself. And she hated it. Hated doing it without knowing what his reaction would be. At the slightest sign of laughter or condescension from him she would bolt and time served be damn. He'd have to hunt her down if he ever wanted time from her again. |

Even if Gerard was robbed of all site he could still feel the way that tension and emotions ran through he lioness. The way she wanted it, and by proxy him and how she was afraid that it would all be for naught. He had gone through a considerable effort and invested time in this one all ready he would not dispose of her so easily unless it was warranted or benefited him in anyway. She was but the first piece of his plan for the lions, to call them into a pride and strengthen them all under his guidance. It was a simple plan, one that he had done time and time before but never had the first one been so wonderfully enjoyable and easy to break. When he did speak to her he could feel the way her entire mind and body seemed to seize up and be unable to move as it processed just what he was doing. His original profile of Dhelia was becoming more true with ever passing moment. She spoke softly almost weak as she restated that one soft word. The please is not what concerned him it was the tone and the words that followed that would direct their night. Then she spoke that one little word, the one that would start the breaking of her spirit and her lion it echoed in the room as though it held a weight all of its own. There was a touch of a smile on his lips as he reached up and touched her face softly. His hands were warm as his power and something more lingered underneath his skin. “Very good Dhelia, now I would like for you to change your shoes to the ones that I picked out.” He did not move but waited to see how she would comply and if that one word would carry over as well. |

She flinched slightly as the quiet between them grew and suddenly his hand was touching her face. Her eyes glanced towards his face to see the smile touching his lips. He was ... pleased by her words? A breath of sudden relief left her body. She could feel the warmth of power at his touch. He held a great deal of it though she wasn't sure if he was trying to put on a show for her. If she hadn't in her mind submitted to him in this moment she probably would have questioned him about it. But it wasn't her place now. She cringed slightly as he once again called her her full name. No one since her parents consistently called her by that name but she was not about to correct him. She looked down that at the strappy heels that hung from her fingers as he made his request. She pinched her lips together and stepped back from Gerard so she had some space to accomplish the requested task. She squatted, somewhat unladylike, to untie the laced up boots. Standing to pull them off then setting them aside against the wall. With no where to sit nearby she did what she could using the wall to balance as she slipped into the heels. Again she had to squat to affix the straps around her ankles bt soon enough she was standing in them. She tried not to show how weak she felt on her face. Knowing her ability to run had basically just been stripped away from her. Plus she was afraid for making a fool of herself in the heels to begin with. She was not the girlie girl type to have any kind of regular practice in walking about in them and feared in the dress as well for tripping her self up. Finally done she moved to stand before him. No words being said but her arms held out as if to say... "there" and perhaps a bit of 'are you happy now?' Though she made no such comments aloud. |

Watching and listening to the body of the lioness before him was almost a show in the human reaction to distress. The relief seemed to start in her shoulders and work through her entire body as she breathed out. It seems that the anticipation that the vampire had caused within the confines of the body of the lioness was far more then he could have imagined. It was a good thing but ancient vampires don’t become ancient by underestimating the people they were seeking to control. He also could not help but notice the way every time he spoke her full and proper name that she nearly winced at it. How could one hate their name so much? It would prove to be an interesting subject at a later date. When she went to actually to take her shoes off and put the correct ones on he could not help but notice how she handled the movement. In a matter completely removing any doubt that she had classical training and that she even thought of herself as a proper lady. It did not truly mater to Gerard as she would be put through the proper education or she would be punished until she went through the proper training. He had no desire for it to go either way but the end result would be required. When she presented herself to him he did not even take the time to look her over. She was still holding on a bit of her resilience and Gerard would not acknowledge it in the slightest. He did offer his arm to help stabilize the woman more and when they walked he did move slower than before until she gained the hang of the new shoes. The tour continued like nothing happened though all ready it was subtly changing. With each time that she gave in more rewards would await her, it was a rather fun and interesting game. “The next step is the gallery; it is on the way to the library.” The gallery itself contained masterpieces from almost all of the old artist some never before catalogued in the modern era. There were small treasures to the vampire but to the world at large they would be priceless artifacts of a world and talent lost to the ages. Each painting was labeled with the artist, the place, and the time kept in perfect controlled environments to better preserve them better then the greatest museums. |

His quietness only served to frustrate her more. She tried though, put effort into holding her temper and not saying anything about it to push or test him further. He would probably just walk away again. And she wasn't sure she could handle that. So she tried to pull herself up a little straighter. Over six feet tall now in the stilletto heels she felt awkward and gangly but tried not to let on that she was. With relief she slipped her arm through Gerard's as he offered it to her. A bit of balance never hurt anyone and she wasn't so prideful as to not take the extra help. Her teeth grinded slightly though as he began walking and continueing this tour as if nothing had transpired. When she felt as if she had gone through one of the biggest life changes and he had just shrugged it all off. This was where in the past she had tested and found her Rex's weak and lacking. Taking them down again and again. She wasn't completely stupid. She knew Gerard was no weakling putting on airs. But still she wanted to test her boundaries or at least feel more boundaries. SOmething. And yet she did nothing as she walked beside him. The pace he kept she was able to match in the heels. Slow enough to not feel as if she was running and worry about tripping over herself. She seemed to walk easily enough in the heels without much weight or hindrance being put upon Gerard. She nodded as he brought her into the gallery. Releasing his arm she walked around a bit. Nodding at the names of the more famous artists. SHe was not by any means an art connesiuer but she could recognize names. Enough to know if these were indeed originals it was a mighty costly collection. "Very impressive." Deal commented giving a sage nod but nothing more. She was not overly excited about art. Her scientific mind so it mostly as a waste of time. Equations and theories held more beauty for her then a painting of lily pads. "Is your library this impressive?" Deal inquired earnestly. She was more intrigued by that indeed. Because if he held tomes as old as some of these paintings there would be a wealth of knowledge she would love to peruse herself. |

It was amusing. There were no other words for how the vampire was feeling other then perhaps bemused, but that in of itself is just another form of amused. Just as quickly as she had taken the third step to completing being owned by him and further advancing the vampires plans ahead of schedule mind you. Tonight was working out quite well and as she with tense muscles accepted his arm so that his power could more easily affect her as they walked together through the gallery. To many it would seem that the Lioness cared little about the works of masters that adorned the walls and from what the vampire had learned of her he was not surprised. Her mind was one of science, math and chemical equations one that was so focused that often it excluded many other aspects of life. It made her easier to tempt and manipulate such a narrow focus but that was neither here or there. The art reflected human desire and emotions refined to masterpieces. To those that would study them much could be told by the artist simple brushstrokes turning it into a story all of itself. While Gerard was not disappointed by her lack of reaction he had expected her to see deeper into the arts and humanity itself. It was an odd sensation for once in a very long while Gerard might have had more humanity than anyone else that he had spent time with. “Indeed, where my gallery brings the best of human creativity, art, and expression into a single room my library, or I should say a small part of my library that I brought with me here is even greater so.” He led her through the large double doors that brought themselves into what would be considered a large house in its own right of books and original manuscripts. “They say that if the Roman Empire never fell then the technology of mankind would be able to push beyond the confines of our planet and past the solar system itself, I believe this and so will you after a small time within the collected works of my library” With that last comment he let her arm slip from his so that she can explore the large collection on her own. |

Deal smiled clearly impressed if he thought his library was on par with his gallery. It was clear Gerard knew of the finer things in life. It was clear he knew a great many things and Deal had no doubt that he was not merely boasting about his library but could back it up. She followed him through the double doors and stood transfixed as she took in the sight before her. It was about the size of her warehouse... filled with books. It might just take her entire life to try and read everything here and this was only PART of his collection?! She would have to choose wisely where she started and what she wanted to read. "I hope you have this cataloged somewhere." Deal found the words slipping from her mouth without thought. She grinned at his statement about where they could be now if Rome hadn't fallen. "I will be very intrigued to read such things that would make me believe so." Deal said as he released her arm. She knew he was doing so she could explore. And part of her wanted to do so right away. And yet another part of her was loathe to leave the side of the thing she had been craving for so long. As if a minute apart was to much right now. Something she had craved for for nearly 10 years now and she didn't want to let it go. But he wanted her to explore. And should she do what HE wanted her too. And so it was that she turned towards the nearest shelve of books and began to explore. Finding she had to pull some books out in order to find out what they were as they were too old to have names on their spines. Some were written in latin... which she had only rudimetry knowledge of. Some She found in flourished Olde English and this only intrigued her more. "I think perhaps you've tricked me by showing me this place. You will say I am not ... paying off my time with you as I am too busy in here reading. And yet you dangle the carrot knowing this full well. So who would be at fault?" Deal said in an almost teasing voice. "Are you serious?!?!?" She suddenly said as she read the yellowed pages of a manuscript. It looked like Galileo theory. She flipped the pages until she found Galileo himselfs signature. She closed the book looking up at him. "This is certainly marvelous and a treasure. It must have cost a good fortune... or a long time to aquire." |

It had become an amusing past time to see what calls to each of his soon to be possessions and to see if it was the one he expected. While it had been a slight disappointment that Dhelia did not find that the paintings all that inspiring Gerard took solace, if it could even be called that, in the subject that it would be something that he would just share with Angelica. Something he was sure would just cause the other lioness to smile all the more to know that there was a part of her master that only she could share with. None the less the scope of his library could only be taken in by seeing it with one’s own eyes. “Yes I have an extensive catalogue organized by book title, author, subject matter, cross referenced and the exact location of the book on the shelf. I also have each and every book digitized and searchable in a database for books that are not physically in this library. One can never be too careful with knowledge and it is always best to have it preserved in many different ways.” He could not help but notice the slight reluctance within her body and knew exactly why. It was interesting that she could be flipped so easily and then given a reward like admittance into his library but such things should be reinforced. “If you would like I could outline a suggested reading list for you, some of my favorites, your favorites and authors that you had not considered yet.” When she spoke of being tricked while it most likely was far too true he just gave a slight shrug. “Yes, while reading in here alone would not be considered for such payment that does not preclude from reading with me if I so desire or discussing a particular novel of choice. You keep wishing to turn me into some captor where I keep trying to turn you into a guest it seems. If you so wish for me to be your captor I can but I can only imagine you would prefer the comfort and luxury of what I can offer if you remain my guest.” There was something more to his words but he would let her decide the further implications of just what they could be. While she flipped through one of the books he walked up behind her and put his hand over hers and closed the book, “Non, this is not the original.” When he spoke his mouth was close to her skin but still far enough that it would become tantalizing, “If you wish to see the original then I can arrange it but such things are very delicate and need to be handled properly. This is one of several reproductions I have had commissioned over the years by many master’s of the art able to replicate every pen stroke, and side scrolled drawing no matter how seemingly insignificant. If you will follow me once more I have taken some of his earlier works and put them on display within glass cases if you wish to see his original writings. We can arrange a time that you can handle the original books if you so desire. Dhelia” “As far as the cost or the time taken to acquire I have always been one to finance the arts and scholarly persuasions in my life time. Many of what you see are simple gifts from gracious students so perhaps you are partially correct. They have all taken time to acquire a resource that is precious as you can see. |

Deal's grinned broadened as she looked up and he explaned how well catalogued his collection was. "Ohh you've hit my soft spot. Digitized and catalogued and cross referenced. I'm dually impressed. And I think I'm getting hot." Deal said teasingly fanning herself as she still held the delicate tomb in one hand. Her eyebrow rose though as he suggested a reading list. "Would this be pleasure reading or theory? Novels or non fiction?" She sighed as e pointed out how she was trying to make him a captor. "I'm sure on the overall I would definatly prefer being your guest. You have to forgive me... I tend to... test those who have reigns over me. I've found none before that could hold them. I have to adjust to the idea of not fighting someone at every turn. I still have to learn... I have to... " Deal struggled trying to put into words the idea that she wouldn't fight him to make him exert his dominance over her. She didn't want a captor not in her everyday life. Not in what she thought Gerard would take it to. She flipped through the book in her hands a little more as she struggled to right the thoughts in her head and express them coherently. She took a sharp breath as she felt him come up behind her and put his hand over hers to close the book. "Not the original... master scribes..." Deal laughed shaking her head. "No no... I do not need to see the original. It's more his hairbrain theories I would be interested in reading directly from the source. If these are copies thats fine the knowledge is the same." Deal said shaking her head. But feeling a little better about handling the book in her hand. Knowing it wasnt the original that was probably worth millions. "But if you have a few here under glass it wold definatly be cool to take a peak at them." Deal said turning her head to smile at him. Her stomach was still in knots. STill nervous about her whole situation. She gently moved to put the book back onto the shelf where she had pulled it from while still remaining within the confines of Gerard's arms. She smirked as it all came back to time again. She suddenly pictured always giving Gerard watches or clocks as presents. So precious was time to him. While she was the one here who came with an expiration date. |

The vampire had expected a reaction to the ways of storage from the lioness what he had not exactly was the vulgar comment that followed it. While he understood it was her way of expressing just how impressed it was as a way to try to draw attention to her body it was still un-ladylike, something that Gerard had trained out of many of his guests over the years. There would be plenty of time all ready she was falling deeper and deeper under his control all with very minimum use of his power. If he had wanted to he could have taken her at the very beginning, broken her until there was nothing left but a blank slate so that he could begin building a new, but where was the fun in that? There was no challenge to use his power in such a way. “It would be a combination of them all, while I understand you enjoy reading the scientific journels of old there must be a well rounded list so that you can savor all of the different flavors that the authors can provide. As far as the reigns go as you put it Dhelia, you have all ready noticed I am not like those that have come before while we can fight for every inch of given ground I would certainly hate to destroy the painting that is you,” he said it so matter of factly like destroying her personality in the process would be a minor inconvenience something that was as trivial to him as deciding what limo to take. “If you so desire, we can go to such a model if it will make you more comfortable but I cannot in good conscious recommend such.” The moment their hands touch he could feel the way her body reacted long before he could hear it. “They have all ready been pulled and are available for us to peruse at your pleasure.” He gestured up one of the stair cases where the books would be on display. His hand lingered on hers for a little longer before pulling them away as his fingers moved down to her wrist and finally left the contact of her skin. “Though I will make you an offer Dhelia, “ he paused as she moved to place the book back causing her to touch him even more now, “You may take one of the books back to the rooms that I have prepared for you, should you desire to spend the night here.” |
