Deal stood there facing the servant as she waited to collect her clothing. Deal had no qualms about nakedness but for some reason it bothered her to do it in front of this woman. A servant of her 'master' not actually her Master himself. As if he couldn't be bothered. The wrap around blouse was untied and removed. The push up bra following it, both items layed over the servant's outstretched arms. Deal bent over and unzipped her boots heeling them off she shrunk her six foot height back down to 5 ft 10 in bare feet. She undid the button and fly of her leather pants and peeled them off. It was quickly apparrant that she went commando as she stood back up and added them to the servants arm. "I want those back. They're custom made." She warned the servant who still said nothing. Just turned once Deal was starkers and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. On the back of the door hung a black dress. Simple no sleeved calf length dresss. With an intricate corset worked around the midsection. Jade green ribbons worked through the black material that seemed to match her green eyes. A note was pinned to the corset with her name on the envelop. "It is a pleasure to see you again once more Dhelia. When you are ready please acompany me in the Great Room, to begin your training." She tossed the note aside and stared at the dress. She had to admit that as a dress it was nice. She loved the corset aspect of it. But it was a dress. It made guys all soft and gooey to see a girl in such a thing. It made them forget that women could be their equals. But it was something, and it appeared that there was no other choice of attire. With a huff Deal took the dress from the hanger and pulled it on over her head. It fit her like a glove with only slight adjustment to the green laces. She stared at herself in the mirror. He hadn't left her any underwear either. Not that she had come with any anyway. Deal hardly wore the things as it was. But under a dress and considering the company she was about to join. She would've appreciated the thin barrier. She smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror though. And had to admit she looked nice. She glanced at the heels set out by the door then back towards her shit kickers that the servant had failed to take. Well at least she could piss him off with something. Sitting on the edge of the emmaculatly made bed deal pulled her shit kickers back on. They didn't look the best with the dress. The heels probably would have gone better. But the boots at least gave her a bit of comfort. Dress and heels would hinder her ability to fight back or run. She hoped she didn't have to do either tonight but she was comforted by having the option. The thick rubber soled shoes made no sound as she made her way down the stairs into the main foyer. Once there she knew where to go. Heading for the great room where their initial negotiation had gone down. A broad smile was across her face as she walked into the room with the roaring fire. "Let the clock begin." Deal stated with a smirk. (OOC: Gerard's note written and approved by Gerard's owner) |

Gerard had almost expected the lioness to put up a far larger fight in changing the clothing. It appeared that she was all ready starting to waver instead of fighting him on every step of the way for the sake of it. Even further was the non objection of one of the servants helping her become presentable? There was not a single raised word or thump of a near dead or perhaps dismembered body so it seems that the lioness could be tamed. When he heard the timber of the footsteps as she descended the stairs he could only shake his head. It appeared that he was mistaken in thinking all of the fight was fading from the lioness so quickly. Although it did not surprise him that she decided to keep her rather large boots on it did show that she had no sense of style. It was a pity actually though it would be one that was fixed quickly just by having her staying here. “Very well then Dhelia, at your request the clock will begin now instead of when you arrived at the manor. I appreciate your ability to be giving in such a short period of time.” The vampire had half expected the lioness to arrive naked instead of wearing the dress as a form of protest but that would have been a step back for her. She was most likely trying to keep her body as far away from his as possible even though it was within his rights to take her anyway that he wished and as much as possible. Half of the fun was the game of cat and mouse. Gerard was dressed in what had quickly become his usual long white coat, black vest, shirt and pants. If one was to look deeply into the material there would be a slight shimmer that would display a pattern deep within. His tie matched the ribbon of the dress almost exactly and that same color was carried throughout the entire house. He stood when she arrived as a proper gentlemen should and offered to guide her to a chair, “Would you like to have a seat and warm yourself by the fire with a glass of wine or have you not eaten yet today. In which case dinner will be served momentarily.” The vampire offered her the touch of a smile that if she had known him any better it would have said, come into my web said the spider to the fly. |

Deal was imagining a closet full of white coats and black shirts hung in Gerard's room. DId the man have no idea what color was? Deal herself perfered black but she tried to wear color from time to time. She did note, with little amusement that his tie was meant to match the ribbons of her dress. She had yet to realize that their attire also matched the decor of the house. AS the decor was her last concern. She paused in her walk towards him as he spoke of starting the clock now rather then when she arrived. Fists balled at her sides as she realized her mistake. She tried to calculate how long it had been since she had arrived and been sent to change for his liking. A growl pulled the edge of her lip into a slight snarl. "I forgot I wasn't dealing with a gentlemen. A gentlemen would have corrected me not taken." Deal snarled. She could stand there and argue but all it would do was waste time. Wait maybe she should stand there and argue. Suddenly remembering that wasting time was the object of the game. "Be a prick it's what I expect from you." Deal said seemingly given in while still getting her dig in against him. She shook her head as he moved to guide her towards a chair. Refusing to touch him she stepped ahead of him and moved towards the chair he indicated. "I'm quite warm thanks. Lycanthropes do tend to run rather warmblooded. But I'd love a glass of wine. I'm sure you have some of the best and are wanting to flaunt it in my face." Deal said as she plopped very unlady like into the chair he indicated. "I ate lunch. But did not have dinner yet, no. Lycanthropes have to eat often and alot. Or do you not pay attention to such mundane things that don't really effect you?" Deal was trying to get all her barbs in. While still trying to tick off the time. She didn't want to go TOO far that he sent her away and the tick off of her time ended. ALready a week had passed and this was her first oppurtunity to work off some time. SHe had been turned away after their bargain was met. Turned away again the next night when she tried to just show up. And then finally he had sent for her. SHe knew it had been part of his lessons to reaffirm that he was in control. But at this rate she would be serving time with him for th rest of her life. ANd if that continued it would be easier to just off Frank and Chuck and start over. Gerard merely looked at the lioness when she made the comment about dealing with a gentleman. It held no fire nor any emotion of any kind. In that moment it was easy to describe that the only thing that was felt was apathy. While she represented an investment of time and effort she had not grown to the point where it would become more costly to keep her then the reward of having her. The vampire understood the game that the lion was playing and he was not about to fall into it. No quite the opposite she needed to be taught a lesson and he knew just how to do it. “I see you are as charming as always Dhelia, you are dismissed I no longer require your services tonight. Have a good evening.” While he in fact had enough patience to deal with far more sass and lip from the women it would not illustrate his point if he just accepted it. No, she needed to understand exactly who was master here and it would not be her, ever. Without a single thought he turned his back and settled back into the chair picking up a leather bound and old novel and placing it in his lap and continued reading where it was left out. While it was older than the average book it was no means an original, the vampire was far from stupid especially with the way that the lioness handled her temper. The fire would be too tempting of a place to put his book and he did not want to lose a priceless artifact because of a threatened and scared lion. Gerard made a mental note to credit the lioness with forty five seconds of her time and then prepared his body and mind for anything that the lioness would do. He was quite sure that she would not just leave especially after fitting herself into that dress. “If you wish to apologize you may stay otherwise I have no use for you” |

Deal bolted right to her feet the moment he said she was dismissed. Incredulous she stared daggers at him as he made his way back to his own chair and pulled a book back into his lap and choose to ignore her. "Are you fucking serious?" She stared at him while he seemed to ignore her. Paying attention to his book. Her body was completely flushed as her anger boiled. If she hadn't opened her mouth about starting the clock she could have already had at least 10 minutes of time gone. So badly she wanted to bum rush him. Throw his whole damn body into the fire behind him. "You bring me here. Dress me up like a barbie doll and expect me to be thankful? Or polite? You wanted me here. You knew what I was like. Suck it up and deal with it." Deal started staring at him. Her hand went towards the zipper at the back of the dress. About to rip it off and throw it in his face, or the fire, she hadn't decided yet. Her hand paused at her back as he finally spoke again. Her chest heaved, her lip curling in a snarl. "I am sorry that your a prick." She quickly snapped. She knew that wouldn't work. She knew that wasn't what he wanted. She took a few deep breaths. Trying to center herself. She stood there staring at him trying to get herself together and under composure. "I apologize for snapping at you. But I also feel that you could give me some leniency as this is very hard for me. I still am not sure what to expect from you. What you want. And dressing me up... feeding me... I don't understand what YOU gain from that and I am always touchy and uncomfortable when I don't understand something. I pride myself on being in the know and you are the first person I've come across that I cannot understand." Deal admitted in her frustration. |

Until the lioness had provided an apology Gerard was quite content on ignoring her and it seemed to all ready be working. He could hear the way her body reacted with the sudden noise of blood rushing seemed to dwarf, in the vampires mind at least, the sound of the otherwise large fire. Sure he had known the mask she wore would not take lightly to the subtle lessons he was teaching her but they soon would be beyond that and able to truly see just how much she had covered it up. Then she gave a false apology one that he still refused to acknowledge. There were a few deep breath and the vampire knew she had accepted the defeat and was about to give in. To say that Gerard was surprised with the honesty that the lioness offered the apology was an understatement. Not only was she apologizing for her rude words but she also admitted to ignorance. It was a very profound step for her no doubt to admit to not understanding the vampire. Few could actually ever clamed to understand Gerard but that did not stop them from trying and failing to do so. Very few simply accepted it and built from there. With quiet resolved he closed the book and placed it back on the table before standing up. Not once patronizing her he nodded at her apologizing and spoke softly, “Thank you for the apology Dhelia. If you are wondering that is motivating you to treat you so well as you describe it is simple. For the moment, due to our agreement, you are a member of this house and I treat all members of this house with honor and respect. Something that I also expect in return as you have found out. Furthermore dressing you up I find has more merit then providing a lack of clothing unless you wish to go such then I will not stop you. Now if you will walk with me I am sure there is some wonderful Kobe beef prepared for your sampling.” Gerard offered her his arms and could not help but wonder for the very first time in her life if she was surprised to be treated like a lady should. So much of her mask was the false bravado most women had to carry around in this age to be even treated seriously in a male dominated profession. The vampire was about to see just how far down it went. |

Deal felt as though she was standing there for ever. Her ire growing as he simply ignored her. Until her last apology and admittance. She wanted to take the words back as soon as they had left her mouth. She had given him too much. To much fuel for his fire. Too much power over her. She knew it was true as she sensed that he was pleased with her. She took a step back as he closed the book, set it aside and rose. She was bracing, expecting at least a little mocking of her naivete. But instead he decided to shock her. He decided to try and inform her rather then leave her in the dark. Honor and respect was a concept she thought he wasn't familiar with. Honor and respecting her would have been leaving her alone. Not trapping her into this unholy bargain. IT seemed they still had a difference of opinion in that. But for now she would have to let it go. The deal was set and there was no getting out of it. She bit her lip as he explained that dressing her up was in consideration of her. Rather then leaving her nude. That she could not let go but she waited till he was finish speaking. Her stomach actually betraying her as he mentioned one of her favorite foods having been prepared, in growled a little at the idea of some nice bloody meat. Deal looked down at his offered arm and with a sigh of defeat slipped her hand into the crook of his arm so he could lead her. "I did come here clothed tonight. It's not like I'm some penniless urchin you took of the street and cleaned up and had to dress. I do have my own clothes. I wouldn't be walking around naked. Only more comfortable." Deal said as they began walking. It was then that it hit her. He wanted her uncomfortable. Not in her own skin, her own clothes. The realization slapped her and made her eyes narrow and wanting to snarl again. "And just to make sure. This means I'm back on the clock right?" She asked to make sure. She knew it was unseemly but she had to make sure. |

As most often the case with living beings their bodies betrayed more of their current state of mind then their words or thoughts ever could. With the meal’s aroma all ready starting to drift through the house he was certain that her body would betray that hunger more. She was a lycan after all and that almost demanded that there be a constant stream of food present to maintain their beast and their hunger. Gerard was happily to oblige. One never knows just how much pleasure food could bring until the simply taste is eluded with every passing day. The only ways he could capture the moment again was to be in the presence of those that were enjoying the food, to feel their pleasure and desire from it. It was a sacrifice that was necessary for everything else that was gained. “You are correct Dhelia, you did in fact come clothed. While I am not attempting to recreate the plot line of My Fair Lady I know that you are not some street urchin bereft of some of the finer things in life. As far as your comfort level is concerned tell me that what you are wearing is not comfortable. The soft material clinging to your skin caressing it with each and every step, to the very support that it offers as holds your every curve, tell me that you do not like the way you look in it the way it makes you feel and be truthful about it. I will know if you are not.” As he spoke it was as though it were a casual conversation until they arrived at the dinner table. All of the dishes were set in full elegant finery complete with every piece of silverware man has ever known laid out. There were four different wine glasses two reds and two whites all prepared to be filled with the different styles that Gerard had picked out. Pulling out the lioness’s chair and settling her in the vampire moved to his side of the table then took his own chair. Then the food arrived carried by four different servants having all types of the beef in various styles cooked in various ways all complete with their own distinct sauce tot ry. “You will have to excuse my lavishness as there are plenty of wonderful ways that one can cook such a fine specimen of beef that I could not decide on a single one, so we will be having toppas tonight” |

Deal had to smirk as he referenced My Fair Lady. She had described it without thinking but it did sorta fit. The way he described the dress though made her wonder if he had perhaps spent some time in women's clothing to be able to describe the way it did indeed feel. She sighed. "I concede that the fabric and structure do feel nice. And once in a while it's nice to feel so feminine and pretty. But It also makes me feel vulnerable. THAT is not a feeling I long to have." She stated though there seemed to be a slight hitch in the statement. As if it was almost rehearsed. A reason given as to why she didn't wear dresses. Or something deeper perhaps in regards to vulnerability. There was history with her and dresses. History she prefered kept hidden. As they arrived in the dining hall her attention turned to take it all in. "So much for not being in My Fair Lady. I am so the burger and fries type most of the time. When I eat steak it's at a steakhouse. Nothing like this. I don't even know what half that silverware is for." Deal scoffed. Deal held the skirt as a lady should this time, as he seated her. Setting almost demurely with her ankles crossed under her seat. She didn't want to admit it but it was nice to be treated like a lady, like a female. Being seated and accompanied. Once in a while it was nice she told herself. But you didn't get anywhere by being catered to. You had to lead too. The scent of food grew stronger as it arrived by servant. It was grilled and braised and sauteed and all a little bit overwhelming. She turned to Gerard as he spoke. Giving a laugh of amusement as he explained his inability t o decide. "It all smells wonderful. And I do like trying new things. I'm used to a simple Kobe steak with some nice roasted potatoes. But everything smells so good." Deal said shaking her head. Hating that she was slipping into the little nice girl routine so easily. "I still don't understand how my sampling this most likely delicious offering serves in giving you my time. " She held up her hand before he could say anything to that. "Not that I'm arguing. I'm just confused." Deal said salvitating and wanting to taste everything at once. She picked up a fork surveying the food. Wondering if she should just fill her plate or if she would be served. Waiting a few minutes more before she decided to dig in herself. |

It was an interesting way that she confessed to enjoying the feel of the dress. She admitted to liking it but there was something more in her words something that had remained hidden. “Vulnerable?” his voice gave a slight upward inflection as he rolled the word around his mouth like it was something foreign. “I am curious Dhelia with how you equate a simple stunning dress as a form of weakness? It is interesting that you would give up your feminine power and strength so easily by viewing a dress so.” He leaned further back in his chair not probing any further but studying her. It was something that would be easy for him to do as he had no food to distract him just the beautiful women sitting across from him. “Well there are times and places for most of the time I imagine, this is not one of them. The silverware well that is something that can be taught if you wish to learn it, the easiest way is to start from the outside in. It is almost like a book and when in doubt the wait staff will remove the articles that are no longer needed after you have made your choice. It is always good to be prepared for meal choices properly do you not think so?” When she settled down he took notice of how she carried herself. With eas passing moment she was beginning to slowly fall into how a proper lady would act something that almost surprised the vampire. “Well then I think we have found a point of common interest then Dhelia, we both do enjoy new things. Let us look at it from my point of view then. I get to have conversation with a beautiful lady while she enjoys some of her favorite foods in an almost sinful display of taste. Each smell, each breath taken accentuating the food and preparing for that first taste. The look of near rapture when it hits the tongue is different in every person.” |

“Vulnerable.” Deal reiterated. “You may see just a simple stunning dress. But you also put me in this dress to feminize me I’m sure. A man of your generation surely saw women as the weaker sex. Just something pretty to have on your arm. A dress makes me feel vulnerable because it can hinder or change who I am. It can restrict my movements . Like now I’m sitting here with my legs crossed demurely. Because you did not provide me with any underwear, might I add, so I feel the need to keep my legs closed and crossed. If you were to come at me it would take me that extra millisecond to uncross my legs before getting to my feet. If the skirt was longer I would have to worry about hiking it up in order to use my legs to kick at you. If it was fuller I’d have to worry about my legs getting tangled in it. It’s all vulnerability. It may be just a simple dress but with it you have also upped my fear of you and what you can do to me.” Deal admitted openly and calmly. It was a good thing she hadn’t added those heels he’d left for her as well. Heels just made everything worse. Especially when you were as unaccustom to wearing them as Deal. “Feminine power and strength is for those women who will bat their eyes and spread their legs to get what they want. DO you think me a common whore Sir?” Deal challenged. She’d rather her power be that of equal to a man. She slunked back in her chair as Gerard quickly changed the subject back to dinner and the silverware. She waved her hand dismissivly at the idea of learning about silverware. She knew the basics work from the outside in. At most though she’d seen 4 forks. This was ridiculous. “I’m not a complete baffoon. I know how to eat properly I’ve just never seen such an expansive place setting. I think it’s overkill A fork is a fork is a knife.” Deal said ignoring Gerard for a moment as she pulled the first dish closer to spoon some of the braised beef onto her plate. She continued to fill her plate from the different dishes as Gerard went on to explain that she served her time by conversing and by him getting to watch her enjoy good food. “You are a weird weird man. Doesn’t it frustrate you to watch someone enjoy their meal while you can’t?” Deal asked earnestly. Truly curious of why he would put himself through such torture. Knife and fork raised to cut into her first bite. She cut a delicately small piece using the utensils in an adequately accepted way. Cutting away the meat and keeping the knife low to the plate while she raised the fork with the food to her mouth. She popped the meat in sighing as she chewed and let the flavor wash over her tongue. As she swallowed she cut another piece. Her eyes on her plate. Though she was still listening to Gerard she was happily pecking away at her food at the same time. If this is what serving her time to Gerard would be like at least she would be well fed. Gerard continued to speak in his calm and cool tone even if the person sitting across from him was stubborn and as thick skulled as almost any other lioness he had met. There was a time for such but she had all ready lost it now she was doing it for her own amusement or his annoyance. Either way, it did not bother the vampire in the slightest she would continue to waste his time however she saw fit, but with each revelation that she spoke the mental picture and psychological profile was slowly starting to come together. “You seem to think you have guessed my generation and that could possibly be right. How do you now know that my generation viewed women and men equally that the time before the prophets walked the globe and the religious few caused women to be thought of as object. No, I could not possibly be that old could I Dhelia?” He gave her a slight knowing smirk and let it sink in that she could not guess what his views on women were at all. Were they weaker no their strengths just rested in differed areas then that of the other gender. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was a simple fact of physics and anatomy. “I will have to lend you several books from my collection if that is how you view your own gender. It is an absolute shame that I view them higher then you seem to but that will have to be a conversation for another day I believe.” “Well a fork is a fork in all forms but there are forks that are designed for salads, for meats, for shrimp all articulated to better hold the food for consumption. As far as a knife goes while they all hold an edge they are designed to cut differently. Cutting a steak with the right knife can enhance the flavor and bring out taste you had never experienced. Though I am sure you had knowledge of such things since you said it yourself you know how to eat properly.” When she spoke again he tilted his head slightly, “No, why would it frustrate me. With your ever bite I can relive it in my own way as you enjoy and savor the tastes that roll over your mouth. How would this bother me that I cannot see a beautiful women enjoy a meal that I personally picked out? I simply experience it on many different levels than before. I could turn around and ask the same question how can you stand to only taste and smell the food you eat and not experience it?” |

Deal paused in her eating. Her eyes narrowing. "We could sit here and have a theolgical debate that woman has been seen as an object since adam and eve. But I'm sure you know your history better then me and I do try to steer clear of arguments or discussions where I know I am outmatched or will appear stupid. You're right I do not know your generation. Or Culture for that matter for both do have a weight on the view of women within the society. But I'd rather not be made stupid by you again. I think you would get bored of making everyone about you look stupid." Deal commented before returning to her meal. Trying to show that she wasn't the least bothered by not knowing his age. Vamps were all about age and knowledge and power. POwer was nice but just because you were older by a century or whatever didn't necessarily make you stronger then another. Or so Deal had been told. "You are more enlightened then most of the men I deal with on a day to day basis then. It is not that I view my gender so awfully it's that I'm a realist and live in the modern world where I have to do what I have to do to make my way. If that is masculinizing myself then so be it." Deal argued between bites of food. "I adapt to my environment. Not force my environment and those in it to adapt to my will." Deal bit into him. She rolled her eyes as he went on about forks and knives. "Seriously? Are we really going to discuss forks and knives. I picked up a steak knife didn't I." She stated lifting the steak knife. "And I hardly think your anyone to judge how cutting anything can enhance a flavor. You haven't been able to taste for a while, according to you. Probably before the whole mass production of silverware. So really I don't see how you can tell me what I should or could taste." Deal commented. Gerard obviously liked to be Mr. No It All and she had to call him out on something. "I don't embarrass myself with silverware on purpose. Though I think you purposefully tried to make it difficult on me." She said her hand wavering the expansive place setting. She sat back in her chair as he challenged that he was not frustrated and rather enjoyed watching her enjoy the food. And challenged her that she only tasted and smelled the food but did not experience it. "What are you talking about. Food is for eating for fuel. Yes it's better when it taste's good... and yes your chefs did an awesome job here. And ok so you enjoy dictating what I eat. Fine. But how the hell else do I experience food? YOu want me to listen to it? Maybe if I was cooking it? Touch it... fondle it make love to it? It's not the food that you are experiencing Gerard. It is me. Don't hide behind the food. You are experiencing me, my reactions which you seemingly like to play with and get a rise out of. So are you entertained?" Deal asked sitting back in her chair. Her legs uncrossing the knife dropping to her plate while her fork stabbed a few more peices of food and popped them into her mouth. She actually tipped her chair back a little bit. Clearly foregoing the demure demeanor and slipping back into her slightly mannish ways. |

Gerard actually sighed softly as the lioness went off on the tangent of feeling stupid and inadequate. If she thought that ever opportunity to impart knowledge was an attempt to make her feel such a ways he was going to be sorely mistaken if she continued to do such. “It is not I who is making you feel such a way Dhelia. I am providing you with knowledge that you did not have before. Teaching would be a good word to use if you must identify. The only person in this world that can make you feel stupid is yourself, it is a lesson you should take to heart.” He paused as she continued to taste and eat the various foods that had been provided for her. She was almost interesting to watch as the constructed persona of who she was rise and fall with each breath across her features. “I imagine that most men you deal with confuse fear with respect and power. While I would agree that fear can be used as a tool to gain both it is often fleeting. If you keep company with such I can understand how you think your lacking of a certain appendage and the way you act to be a determinant to your ability to function but I also believe that you are wrong. Let us travel along a hypothetical situation. Think of how you are acting and dressed now compared to your normal behavior outside of this roof and both of you were brought into a police station for questioning on various charges. If you were the investigator who would automatically take the blame in your eyes for what had happened. There would be no one that would think that you would be the root cause of such. That is just one example of how what you few as a weakness is in fact turned into a strength.” He knew that it would most likely garner another eye roll but if she was capable of learning this would be the first test of it. “You did in fact pick up the correct knife and that would be an assumption about me again would it not?” He offered a slight smile to her before continuing, “If the knife is not sharp enough it mangles the proteins that change the tenderness and shape of the bonds and connective tissue of the meat. This also changes the taste and is why a good steak knife is sharp. It is also why if you have ever had to saw at a particular tuff piece of meat that it lacked flavor and taste. This is even more apparent when sushi is prepared with the wrong knife. Perhaps we will have to have a taste test of it next time we decide to eat together Dhealia.” She spoke again and he waited for her to completely finish what she was saying before replying. “If that is your view on food then we can change all of your meals here to a protein and amino acid based gruel that will have little to no good taste but provide everything you need to function. As to far of how I am experiencing the food yes you are the vehicle for that experience. If touching it or making love to it is how you wish to experience it then by all means but if I might make a suggestion. When you place the meat into your mouth hold it on your tongue then take the red wine on your left and sip it through the meat. Let their taste mingle in your mouth, feel the difference of it when you breath with it there and how it changes subtlety. Truly experience each and every bite before moving to the next.” When she tipped back in her hair forgetting who and where she was he simply waited. He would not speak again until she had lowered herself in the chair. She would have to now wait for his answer if he was being entertained by her. |

Deal listened to Gerard speak of why he thought or she thought it was best to take a masculine role on things. She wasn't above learning and he did make a point about if she was ever brought in by the cops. She had indeed in the past played poor innoccent girl on the few occassions she had been brought in for questioning by the cops. She had also turned around and walked out and then ruthlessly killed those that were responsible for getting her brought in the first place. "That is truth there are certain situations where playing the demure girl can be a strength but in my life those places are few. And if I were to be this all the time I wouldn't be where I was now as many would have tried and perhaps succeeded in running me over. I am just more comfortable in the other skin. And that is opinion not fact." Deal said with a sigh. He didn't have to understand it that was just who she was. Who she was comfortable with. And too bad for him if she didn't fit into his little perfect ideal of what a woman should be. Deal twirled the knife threw her fingers as Gerard spoke about her assuming again. "You won't tell me how old you are so all I have is assumptions. And your not telling me anything new about how a knife affects food. I am arguing only that you are just stating facts you've read somewhere. I don't think you have the actual experience of what a dull knife could do to meat versus a good knife. Maybe a dull knife. I could picture you in cave with your fire and your fur toga hacking away at venison with your sharpened rock." Deal said looking up as if she was picturing him as a cavemean hacking away at meat. Her chair thudded back to the ground and her eyes went to him as a slight growl passed her lips as he threatened to feed her gruel in the future. "Maybe if you'd listen to what I actually said instead of focusing on what you can pick and prod and poke at me about. I said I prefer it to taste good. If I didn't have money to buy this extravagant stuff I could live on the gruel you speak of. It's nice to be able to afford the luxury and flavor though. I'm not knocking it." Deal said in frustration. She felt like Gerard's only purpose was pushing her buttons and trying to get a rise out of her and it was hard not to rise for him. She rolled her eyes as he told her to go ahead and make love to the food. Her eyes narrowing as he told her how to eat. "I am a biochemistry person as you know. I understand how the chemical changes when presented with alchohol. And actually if I did that with the braised beef it would actually become quite bitter as the sauce already has wine it which has been reduced to make it almost sweet and adding the red wine would only bring out the concentrated bitters. However..." Deal said forking a peice of the simple seasoned grilled steak "When paired with a simple peice of meat..." She popped the peice of steak into her mouth and reached for the glass of red. She sipped sucking air through her teeth before chewing and savoring the flavor. She closed her eyes moaning softly at the flavor over her tongue chewing delicately before swallowing licking her lips. Her eyes opening slowly as in in rapture. She turned to him setting the wine glass back in it's place. Her legs cross as she sat demurely taking the napkin and patting at the corners of her lips before placing it back in her lap. She looked about as feminine as she could there. "If you're trying to teach me something new I suggest you try again. Food is something I have enjoyed as much as possible. Not to this masterful an extent but I am no lamen when it comes to it. Especially steak." Deal said with a small smile. |

Gerard relaxed fully into his chair or at least gave the illusion of his relaxation. The vampire never truly relaxed or became off his guard but hundreds of years of practice has turned this subtle illusion into an art. Should she spring across the table with the knife he would be ready just as he would have been if he was leaning forward seemingly alert. “I imagine we can agree to disagree as it were. I will not spend more of our time discussing philosophy in a way that you do not agree to. You give the appearance of being comfortable that way and I will not continue to strip you of your armor. AS far as the knife you can assume all you want Dhelia, I will not correct you. You believe that I cannot taste at all but there are ways around even that limitation to those who know how to look.” “If you wish to continue fighting me at every turn we can call this evening a close and you can go about your way to whatever you would normally be doing. If you would like to share company and food with me then it will be by your choice to decrease your time tonight and that choice will need to be shown in your actions.” When she went back to the subject of how the subtle play of alcohol affecting the meat he could only smile and nod. “Very nice it is rare to meet a woman in this day in age that understands her foods and wines. It is something that has always been a passion of mine no matter the age. Maybe when we are done here tonight I can give you a tour and show you one of my wine cellars to see if we can pick out the menu for tomorrow night via wine.” His blue sapphire eyes looked into the lion’s as she enjoyed the meat practically moaning at its taste. While amusing there was no smile touching his eyes, “What will it be Dhelia, the choice is yours.” |

Deal's eyebrow cocked up as he seemed to concede to the fact that she was most comfortable not in dresses but as herself. And saying he would no longer strip her of her armor. To her she was hoping that would mean he wouldn't be dressing her up like a barbie doll again. A small smirk crossed her face as if in a small victory. She twirled the steak knife one more time before setting it down. She didn't expect him to give her any answers that would warrant her even a guess to his age. She nodded in agreement that he would be able to taste if he knew the way. Deal had heard that Vampires could taste food through a human servant. That the Vamp was so far in the human's head they could taste what they did, feel, smell all that they did. She didn't really know about the specifics though. Nor did she press the subject. "Who's fighting?" Deal jumped as he threatened to put the evening to a close. Again. The napkin was pulled from her lap and placed delicately to the side of her plate. A signal that she was finished with her meal through proper etiquette. The frustration in her grew as she was still unsure of what Gerard wanted with her, besides trying to beat her down and tell her everything she did was wrong. She wanted to snap badly that it was HE who had wanted her here and not the other way around. She had to physically bite the inside of her cheeks to keep from snapping at him. She was finally able to unclench as he went to complimenting her on her knowledge of food and wines. Taking a deep breath she sighed. "I know somewhat of wines. Red with meat, white with fish. I know mostly red wines as I like mostly red meat." Deal said trying to keep her temper in check she went on again to talk about something she enjoyed. "I know what I like. I know what years were good years etc. If you give me the oppurtunity I would love to see your wine cellar. I have a feeling it is quite spectacular." Deal said with a genuine smile. Tomorrow night. He had said tomorrow night. It made her smile. Not that she was excited to return. No. So far it had been nothing but frustrating. But the faster she could work off the biggest chunk of time the faster she could try and get back to normal. Though normal would be forever changed with her smaller chunk of time promised to him for the rest of her life. Deal raised the napking to touch the corners of her lips once more as Gerard stared into her eyes. She stared back. Lowering the napkin back to the table she gently pushed the chair beneath her back and moved to stand. "I would love to take a tour and pick out a wine for tomorrow night's dinner." Deal said. If he wanted polite and girly she would try to give it to him. Maybe he'd take some time off her 'sentence' for good behavior. Yes she'd have to start thinking like that. Plus as much as she was warring against it. As much as she put up a fight. There was something to be said for letting a man lead. |

To the untrained or those not only well versed in the fine art of vampire politics and that of Gerard himself it would have looked like he just admitted to defeat on the subject and moved on. By the look on the lioness’s face, the way her smirk traveled across her lips and the movement of her eyebrow suggested that she thought the same thing. In fact Gerard had all ready gained the information that he required to father complete the psychological profile of the woman was sitting across from him. There are few things in this world that should frighten even those that though themselves invincible and one of them was a well studied vampire in psychology. The human mind is an open book to those that know how to read it. When he offered to send her home once more the reaction that it gained was one that was to be expected. It was obvious that not only was the lioness attempting to work off her time as quick as possible but also trying to hold back her rising anger. That temper would prove to be interesting it gave her strength of will when it was harvested correctly but it could also be a fatal flaw, one that the vampire was not above capitalizing on. “Well then Dhelia, if you would like to learn more of wines the subtle play of flavors, how the soil composition can affect the wines and just how the age and storage can change do let me know. It is a passion of mine and I enjoy sharing it with others. You may even find it more enlightening with your background in biochemistry.” If she took him up on it or not it did not bother him in the slightest, sure it would waste more of their time together so the odds are that she would agree to it but he had all the time that would ever be required. She stared back into his eyes obviously either too foolish or stubborn to believe it to be a mistake, it did not matter rarely did Gerard ever let his power bleed into his eyes to capture the minds of mortals. That was almost crass and lacking the refined nature that the vampire prided himself on. Standing and pushing his own chair in he walked over and pulled the chair away from the table then once again offered his arm to the lioness. The moment her skin touched his hand she would be able to feel he very subtle call over lions underneath his skin, warming it to the touch and teasing the lion within. “Shall we?” |

Deal tilted her head to the side in a slight nod of acceptance. If he wanted to waste more time teaching her about wine and soil she was all for it. If it had interested her she would have studied it by now. As it was she studied wines only enough to know what she liked. She had actually been on a few wine tasting tours as well. Both before and after her change so she knew how she was SUPPOSE to taste wine but she would grately love to learn more. Perhaps in Gerards deep knowledge and depth she could figure out a way to make a wine that could hold her compound to actually have the same affects on lycans as wine did on humans. Deal was always trying to think of new angles for her product. Wine would certainly be welcomed over the full moon drink currently available. At least it would if she tried her hand at it. It would at the least be more flavorful. It was calculated the way she stared back into his eyes. She was aware that some, or rather most Vampires could bespell you with their eyes. It was also rumored that lycanthropes might have some natural resistance to t his ideal. But with his command over lions she somehow didn’t think that ideal would apply to her. But she thought she was learning her captor already. He preferred to dominate and chastise with words and with wills. Not with power. Though Deal was sure he had plenty of that too. It was a test as well. To see if he would use her, try to break her with his power over her. Then she too would be learning something about him. She remained standing unphased as he rose and returned his chair to the table. As he came beside her and offered his arm Deal once again fell into the role of feminine companion. Slipping her hand through the crook of his arm. The moment she did she felt her beast awaken. Her eyes flew wide with sudden shock. Deal knew herself to have utter control of her beast. Like all the other lions in her life she had proved her dominance over her own beast as well. It answered to her call. So she was shocked when it raised her head not at her call but at something else. She knew it was not her who had called out to it. And the pull from Gerard was unmistakable as her inner beast yawned and stretched within her. The feel of fur rubbing along her insides making her tremble. Her head turned staring at him incredulously. “You know I just get antsier when she’s closer to the surface. Are you trying to test my will?” Deal asked as she began trying to surpress her beast back down. |

The lioness was foolish, stupid, or stubbornly brave to the point where her own self preservation instincts were starting to fail her. The way she stared back into his eyes with little to no regard for her own safety was almost a foreign concept to the vampire. It was obvious from their first meeting that the lioness was outmatched in both power and tact but this further proved it. It was almost as though she wanted him to take her in that instant to claim her with his power but that was not his style. He wanted her to submit voluntarily to break her with wills and words and not power. In the end, it really did not matter how she fell because it was all ready starting to happen. The first pieces were in place it only would take the realization and the submission of the would be alpha lion. When the two started walking and her bare skin touched his own with only the slight amount of power the vampire was actually surprised. It was like her beast responded so quickly to his light call and came to the surface at his slightest urging. It this was the way she was going to react to even the slight application of his power he was suddenly very interested in what greater attempts of using his strengths would be. Furthermore he wondered if this vulnerability extended to his other powers or just the call over lions. If the former was the case then she would quickly become an excellent food source. “If I was trying to test your Will Dhelia, I would be doing so in an entirely different way.” Without a moment hesitation he let his power uncoil once more soothing the beast within the lioness. Coaxing it into rest once more with a quiet promise to play later. “Now if you will follow me we will start with the reds. I believe that you will like the red portion of the cellar.
