There was a saying that is held true even in its reverse, no deed goes unpunished. Just how punished or rewarded depended largely on the mood that the vampire was in. He was known for giving large almost lavish rewards to those that pleased him and nearly destructive and immediate punishments to those that do not. It was a simple affair and the longer that went between the time of the offense or blessing the worse off it usually became. This was able to be thought out for the past twenty four hours so to say that the poor lioness that it was about to be directed upon was screwed was entirely an understatement. Dhealia was just about to learn how much she was capable of loosing. The key to being able to survive the ire of a vampire, let alone Gerard’s ire, was to secure your base of power so much that you become unassailable or more likely if that was imposable to have nothing to lose. She did. To start things off Gerard relaxed the part of himself that held the power over the large cats. Expertly threading it away so that the general call became one for just leopards and then that simple call would apply to. It would have been nearly impossible to make the call specific enough for just the leopard named Chuck to come without first meeting him and feeling the subtle difference within the power of that lycan. He would call, and the leopard would answer but not before leaving a wonderfully hand written note on black paper on top of a box within he rooms of the leopard. The note was addressed to a Ms Wayne, and in it contained a time and a place. In the box was a beautiful tailored black full length dress with gold embroidery running up the corset top and the hem. Gerard knew she would most likely fail to use it and that too would incur a cost. So while the lioness waited to discover just what happened to the fate of the leopard, Chuck was being treated to a day at the spa halfway across the city. Meanwhile Gerard had decided to get rather sloppy with the red paint on his latest creation so that when the lioness barged into his house she would readily assume that the paint was blood. Something that Gerard was not about to correct. |

It had been Frank who had called her down to see the package that had been left on Chuck's bed in the dormitories of warehouse. When Chuck had failed to relieve Frank in the control room Frank had finally gone to check on the man that was his equal. The package and note, or rather who it was addressed to shook him. He had been briefed about all that had happened when their little group had answered the vampires call. He knew who the package was from. What he hadn't known was how it had gotten in here. Or how Chuck had gotten out. He had been watching the monitors of the security cameras they had set about the perimeter of the warehouse. Frank had stood by as Deal read the note and opened the package. He stood there a hand casually placed over his nuts, just in case, one could never be too careful if Deal was set off. ~~~~~~~~~~ Deal didn't want to wait for the appointed time. But as she got everything she thought she needed together it came closer and closer to the time indicated on her little 'invitation'. She growled as she made her way to his home. Storming in, hardly waiting for the butler... or whoever he was to allow her in. She stalked through the house trying to follow her nose. She didn't smell chuck anywhere but she smelled the decaying and earthy scent of Vampire everywhere. She started walking through the house, storming really, until she found him. The red stained hands made her come to a short stop. "YOU SON OF A BITCH." She screamed as she popped open her short leather jacket. The corset top of the dress he sent could be seen underneath, though it was ripped and torn to show off a little more of her cleavage, and cut to bare some midriff, the skirt portion of the dress was completely missing as she wore her simple leather pants and signature shit kicker boots. Where she had meant to show him the destruction of what she was sure was some expensive designer gown she was now going for the concealed gun under her left arm. PUlling it out with her right hand. She had gone for the silver loaded gun immediatly. Her hand whipping it out to aim at the man. It was then that her nose caught up with her brain and she realized that the red stains on his hands were paint and not blood. She had to take a moment to ease her finger off of the trigger it had already started to squeeze. "He is MINE. Where is he? I want him NOW!" Deal shouted. |

Gerard turned to the servant that was assisting him before the arrival of his guest. “Thank you Emma for posing for me. Though I think you should yourself become scarce my next appointment will prove to not be friendly and is often seen brandishing weapons. I would certainly hate to see anything happen to you.” He gave the servant a quick smile and sent her on her way as he finished cleaning up his hands and the brushes and as if on cue he started to hear the tell tale sign of the arrival of the tornado that was Dhelia. He would have been surprised if she actually showed up calm and collected, it mattered not all the easier. The vampire ignored the first shouted obscenity he would not acknowledge such rude displays of aggression for no real reason. The tell tale smell of gun and the mechanism of the hammer did cause him to turn. His face showed no emotion other then slight annoyance. “I do hope that you have decided to use Glazer Safety Rounds within the chambers of your weapons silver or otherwise. I would be most annoyed if you decided to shoot and you struck one of my servants.” He turned once more and continued to wash his hands so that all trace of the pigment had vanished. “Well how nice it is to see you again Ms. Wayne. Or shall we go by your proper moniker of Dhelia. I would ask what have I done to disserve such an honor but from your screamed direction although misplaced and causing the chance of him finding slipping away with every increase of your voice I can imagine just what you are speaking. Please come in would you like any tea or wine. I imagine we have much to discuss. I will start things off, how was your day?” |

Deal advanced on the man as the man spoke so calmly as if she was not holding a gun full of silver ammo in her hand, aimed at his heart. She walked closer to him. If she got any closer it would be within point blank range. She could kill him with a shot then. But that wouldn't get her Chuck back. She had lost others it was true. But that was because of her own doing. She still believed this power play was Gerard's fault. Not hers. She stopped her forward movement as he asked if she would like something to drink and asked about her day. A look of shock crossing her features. "Are you completely nutters? I know lots of Vamps go crazy if they stick around too much. Too much knowledge in their tiny little brains. But seriously. I am here for Chuck. Not pleasantries niceties. If you wanted a good chat you should have called the other blonde lioness. Not stolen one of my men." Deal quickly shot back at him. "NOw where is Chuck? Big hulking blonde buzz cut, leopard. And MinE!" Deal said suddenly the gun lowered. Expert aim making it's next mark in quick time. THe sound of a gunshot seemed to echo throughout the room as the silver filled round made it's way to shoot out Gerard's knee. "That's to show that I am not here to pussy foot around. Now bring Chuck here before I start shooting enough rounds to remove that leg from the knee down." Deal threatened. Edited by Dhelia, Dec 29 2008, 11:21 AM.

Gerard tilted his head in perceived thought for a moment before answering the advancing lion’s question. “Well I believe that is a bit of a personal question I have often been described as not sane but by the technical definition I am not expecting different results by the same action so I can safely say, no. I am not, what was the quaint term you used, nutters.” The other blond lioness was safely on the other side of the house but it was not for her own safety no it was to stop her from taking out her aggressions on this wonderful specimen of lion. “Chuck yes I believe he was able to tell me his name but it was often mumbled and filled with some very unwholesome noises so it was rather difficult to understand.” “If he was your leopard he would still be with you, are you admitting to the loose of one of your own because you were not strong enough to keep him safe or because you are starting to grasp the reality of that you..” he watched the gun move lower and at the last second he moved his knee so the bullet hit the soft fleshy part of his leg and not the joint. The bullet sunk into his flesh with a sickening noise and the pain washed over him like a lost lover. It has been a long time sense he had felt pain and it was an odd sensation of enjoyment, it however did not change the way he was talking nor even interrupt him, “are not above the cause and effect relationship. Now I will happily accept both to be your answer and I will also give you a warning.” Even through the wound he stood up and walked like it was nothing even though the pain within his body said otherwise. If any were to see his face they might actually think he was enjoying it. “That will be the last shot you will take if you want to have any more of a conversation with me. I will assure you, youw ill not like the consequences of what will happen next.” |

Deal growled, an inhuman growl, as he spoke of chuck being hard to understand because of mumbling. Deal's mind immeidatly jumping to the conclusion that he was being hurt. Her knuckles turned white as she kept her hold on her gun level and steady but fought not to fill him with silver. If she wanted Chuck back she needed him alive. Though it seemed he wasn't at all bothered by the shot to his knee. She could smell burnt flesh and the slight smell of blood. Vamps didn't exactly bleed like the rest of them. So she knew she had hit him And yet he was up and walking towards her. Malice in her tone. She took one step back then stopped herself. She could not show weakness. She should not back down. She snarled as he spoke down to her. AS if the whole little meeting was to prove to her that she wasn't Alpha enough to hold her own. To challenge her power and the fact that he could have power over her and those that belonged to her. "I am HERE to protect what is mine. If I could not protect mine I would not have shown. I would have just cowered and left him. Don't come any closer or YOU will not like the consequences." Deal spoke the gun raising from knee level back to pointing at his chest. "You may be right. It may be the last shot I take assuming you produce what is mine immediatly. Otherwise you will force me to play the protector and take down the threat that has come to me and mine. An force me to ransack your pretty little palace here. Now I suggest you call whomever you need to and have them bring Chuck down here. And I also suggest that you never bother me or mine again or I will not hesitate to shoot next time. Consider that MY warning." Deal threatened. Pulling back the hammer on her gun that was steadily pointed at his chest. |

The moment she took a step back he knew he had her. It was a matter of time and letting her empty the clip or removing the little gun from the lion before she would talk but that one step caused her defeat even if she did not even realize it yet. “You are correct you are in fact here yet you have come armed with all the wrong weapons. You are strong yes but I imagine you have not had many run ins with vampires have you. I invited you here and once again you take advantage of my hospitality and then take a shot at me. Under vampire law I could kill you where you stand but that would be a rather large waste of blood and I would most likely get it on my coat. So it appears you have brought us to an impasse no?” Gerard has seen this all too often. He would take the next step still talking and she would open fire. While he was not afraid of the bullet it would ruin his shirt and this had become one of his more favored shirts and that was simply unacceptable. The vampire prepared himself calling upon his innate power of speed of movement the moment of the mechanism of the gun started to move. While it was fast when prepared for it he was faster. “Well then you are playing the devoted protector is it my turn to twirl a mustache and ask for the rent. I do get confused what the latest trend is for the stereotype. So if I get this wrong we may have to do it again.” “As far as calling I believe Chuck is currently indisposed of at the moment and if you would like to leave a message I can be sure he gets it when he comes back to the proper state of mind. As far as threatening my house that was a rather low blow. I am sure that if you got the tour you would appreciate it natural beauty” It would happen any second and he would be ready, it was just a matter of timing. |

"Under MY law you should be dead already for taking what is mine. It's all a matter of whose the first lawbreaker here isn't it. Fuck your Vampire laws. Taking people against their will is NOT WITHIN YOUR RIGHTS!" Deal was yelling as loud as she could now. Her nerves were raw and her finger getting itchy to pull the last few centimeters. She growled as he mocked her again speaking of playing the villian and what his next move was. "There'll be no do-overs with you dead." Deal promised. The last straw was broken over the camel's back as he elluded to the idea of Chuck being tortured. It wasn't that Deal cared overtly for Chuck's well being. He could replaced, just as he had replaced the one before him that Deal had 'accidentally' killed herself. But she liked to be the one to play god with those that were hers. She liked to be the one in control of what was hers. At least that's what she told herself. And this man, VAMPIRE, taking what was hers and playing around with it was unacceptable. Damn the consequences. She would find CHuck and whoever was doing WHATEVER to him. She would take out the head of the problem first. Then the bigger problem. Where in the expansive mansion was Chuck. Her finger pulled the trigger, her body braced for the slight backlash, strong enough to seem as if there was none, the sound of the gunshot again seemed to echo throughout the room. |

In a blink of an eye Gerard was behind the lioness. Could it have been from mind tricks of clouded the poor lioness into thinking that everything happened within a split second happen over the course of several or he could just be that fast. The lioness would never have a chance to know because the front of his body was pressed to the back of hers. The cheek of his mouth rested on her neck and his outstretched hand was over hers. When he spoke his voice was tinged with his power so that the words were almost tangible. “Point of order, My little lamb, I am all ready dead.” He took a breath taken in her scent and tasting her power all the closer. She was strong and feisty and that meant only one thing. She would be far more enjoyable to break down. Gerard would enjoy every moment of it and it even was worth the mild inconvenience of the bullet. The vampires other hand snaked down wrapping around her waist and going as solid as iron should she try to resist him and move. “Now that I have your attention you will drop your guns and have a nice conversation with me. Do you understand me, Dhelia?” Power dripped from his voice when he spoke her name making it feel as though crushed velvet started at the base of her spine and slowly worked its way up. She could resist him but it would be futile, she had all ready lost and it would just now start to make it through her thick skull. Then the real fun would begin. |

She swore he was right before her when she pulled the trigger. Not even a vamp could be so fast as to outrun a bullet, could they? BUt even as the shot was still echoing in the room she felt him behind her. Felt his mouth at her neck, his hand over the one holding the gun and then his other hand around her waist. A moment when she could have torn free lost as his iron grip held her in place. A moment she had lost in her confusion and shock. When he spoke she felt her own knees buckle with the power his words seemed to hold. She growled, out of habit, as he spoke of the minute detail that technically he was already dead. When he spoke of dropping her gun her arm started moving down already, her thumb moving to flick the safety up before her fingers completely released it and let it drop to the floor with a clatter. Fear and defeat made her chest heave as she took deep breaths. She could feel her pulse so close to his mouth. She swallowed the lump in her throat. She was not used to being out of control. She was not used to feeling powerless. But she had little choice in this situation. She swallowed again to try and speak. The sound of his voice felt like it was caressing her and she fought the urge to bow her spine as it felt like his voice was caressing her spine. Her weak spot. The unknown pleasure spot on her body. Her head actually fell to the side, revealing more of her neck (in invitation?), as she felt the the velvety tendrils work their way up her spine. "Yes... Yess understand... talk... fine..." She managed to eek out. She needed to get the upperhand back here but she wasn't sure how. Not in his grasp like this, when he was doing things to her body that no one should know how to do. Even Frank didn't know about her secret spot. |

There was a moment of almost surprise when he felt Dhelia nearly collapse in his grasp. Something had changed within the lioness that Gerard had not expected so suddenly. Where once she was yelling in an apparent rage now she was docile in his grasp, could it all have been an act. Was the tough exterior of the lioness false bravado that was stripped from her in mere moments? Gerard could feel her pulse quicken right under his mouth and the way her breathing changed were all signs that he was correct. Those once rigid muscles threaten to betray her but the simple sensation of his words her body was no longer hers to command. The gun clattered to the floor as her head fell to one side revealing more of that pale expanse of her neck. Quickly the wheels inside of Gerard’s head started turning, could she had injected a poison that would affect the blood stream in an attempt to gain the upper hand or was this truly an accepted defeat. Caution was needed; first he had to make sure she was completely disarmed. Nothing would be gained if one of his own servants was hurt during a moment of anger from this woman. “Your weapons, all of them put them on the ground.” His right hand, the one holding her hand that was over the gun trailed up the skin and grasped her shoulder tightly. “When you give me your word that you are completely disarmed and willing to talk I will let you go.” The vampire’s head shifted to the otherside of her neck as his thumb moved up off her shoulder and to let the edge of his nail push into her neck. There would be no mistakes and no chances, Gerard could not afford for this to be an act. |

Deal didn't like the idea of being completely disarmed. It made her feel weak, especially around one who had seemingly so easily taken control of the situation. Loosing all her weapons, would be like loosing her armor, or even a part of herself. "I need..." She started gulping as she felt her control slipping a little. She wasn't used to having the upperhand taken away. She was used to being in control at all times. And while she could not fight his control she also didn't have to like it. "I need assurances that Chuck is alive and in good enough health to walk out of here... I will not... I will not..." She stammered for breath. "I will not leave myself vulnerable if all this is in vain." Deal shifted uncomfortably as his hand worked it's way from her own hand up her arm. Wincing as he should off his strength by digging his fingers into her shoulder. Her head lifted back up as he moved his mouth away from one side of her neck to go to the other side. Her left hand slowly moved going under her jacket and under the arm of the shoulder he was pinching. Slowly she pulled out the gun that was tucked there. She froze though as she felt his nail digging into her neck, very close to a major vein. "I have 6 weapons on me. Ones on the ground already. This is the second. I'll remove the rest once I'm sure of Chuck's safety." Deal said softly. Though he had the upperhand and could probably kill, or at least rip open her throat, before she could blink with him this close, she had to do the duty she had accepted when she had made Frank and CHuck. They were hers and no matter what she was expected to make sure of their safety. Plus she was hoping she could keep the seventh weapon hidden. She needed some reassurance that she was not completely vulnerable. Though it would be hard to get at the seventh weapon quickly or discreetly. |

The longer he held her like this the more te tone of her voice changed. Each second spent this way stripped another layer from the lioness. Gerard had no doubt that if he could hold her like this eventually she would be no more threat then a little kitten, but that would be a calculated risk that could backfire. Gerard was not about absolute control and taking risks without assurances of those coming through were not his style. “Well that I cannot give in those terms. Chuck will not be walking out of this manor house upon his release but I can give you my word that he is unharmed and will be in good enough health to walk.” He felt each individual muscle moving as she started to slowly unarm herself. Six weapons she had on her by her own admission which meant she could have as many as ten if she was crafty enough to hide them. It was never wise to underestimate the intuition of a woman who did not want to give up her weapons so he was genuinely interested in just where she was storing all of them. “You will now give me your word that you will completely disarm yourself of all weapons or instruments of pain. Once you give it to me I will let you go and we will adjourn to the great room and discuss terms.” “In case you do not realize giving ones word in the circle of the prenatural is something that my kind takes very serious. If you are in doubt of this fact then there is no need to continue this conversation and nothing will change. I am sure you understand Dhelia” Again the moment he spoke her name it became tangible traveling down her back and stopping just above the hipline. |

Her eyes narrowed as he said that Chuck would not be walking out of this house. But he would be unharmed and walking at his release. Her mind tried to puzzle through the statement. About to question it outloud when it came to her. "He's not here." She said aloud. Making it a statement of realization. Not a question. There was a bit of relief as she realized that Chuck was not here with this man who seemed hell bent on destroying her. All because she had bruised his ego a little bit. Some men could be such babies. Those were the thoughts Deal tried to tell herself as her body whoever decided that he was worthy of submitting to. Like all the Rex's who had tried before to get Deal to submit somehow this man was making it hard for her to dominate. That idea alone was making her extremely nervous and on edge. Her eyes narrowed as he asked for her word to not just remove her weapons but any instruments of pain. However his statement was flawed in one respect. He asked for her word that she would disarm herself, but he did not stipulate a timeframe for the actual disarming. "I understand the concept of giving my word." She began then gasped and shuddered as once again the sensation of something running down her spine caught her offguard. Her mouth opened into the gasp and her body trembled. How was he doing that? How did he KNOW to do that? Breathing heavily she tried to keep her wits about her. She needed to keep her wits. If she was to negotiate the terms of Chuck's release she needed to be sharp in order to see through every little trick she was sure the Vampire would throw at her. "I want what is Mine freed from you. He maybe healthy and walking now but I fear that that may not last for long." Deal said. "I give you my word that all weapons or intruments of pain will be removed from my person during my stay here within your home." She said. In order to keep her word all she would have to do to remove the last weapon was remove it before she left. It would be a nice little thing to throw in his face as she left. One tiny little power play as she kept her word but also let him see the flaw in what he asked of her. She drew the gun in her left hand the rest of the way out from it's holster and let it clatter to the floor to join the first. Since she had announced the six he would probably need to see her remove six weapons now. She already knew the least effective, and desperation only weapon, that was so well concealed would have to be the one to remain so. "Just so we are clear... we are discussing the terms of Chuck's release as well as further assurances that you will not harm or steal what is mine?" Deal asked lifting her left leg her hand moved down as she balanced on one foot and fumbled to pull up her pant leg and pulling at the strap that held the knife and sheath attatched to her boot and added it to the pile on the floor. |

Gerard let her feel the smile as his mouth was pressed to the lioness’s neck. “You are correct, he is not here Dhelia. Even if you were able to subdue me and turn my house upside down and back you would not find him nor any trace of him here. The only one that has any knowledge of his wear about within this house is me.” There was a war being fought not only between the vampire and the lioness but within herself. He could see it with every touch of his power and his strength on her body. There was no way she could fight the battle on both fronts and expect to win. The lioness understood the concept of words of honor, something that was beginning to be lost on the newer generation of animal and human alike. It was a sad state of affairs when word and honor meant nothing around the prenatural community at times Gerard had taken it as his personal responsibility to cleanse the world of such oath breakers but usually there were better things to do then doing the world a favor, usually. The moment she had given her word just as quick as it had arrived Gerard’s power was gone and he released his hold on the woman. “You may put all of your weapons on the table and there they will remain until you are ready to pick them up, if you would please join me in the Grand Room we can begin.” He gestured with his hand that as it was proper to be, ladies would be first. “Yes, we will be discussing the release of your man back to his own devices and free will, which should inexorably lead him back to you. The second part is something you have just added into our negations and would come at a much steeper price. If you are willing to pay such that will be another story.” He waited for them to both be seated before continuing. “Now, what would you be willing to give in order for your man to be free?” His hands were folded in his lap with his fingertips touching in an almost steeple like gesture. He had time to wait and all the cards were in his hand. |

Her body stiffened again as she felt his lips against her neck. Again so close with one of the most deadly parts of the vampire. And yet the pleasure from the power that coursed over her spine almost made a moan pass her lips but she managed to fight and keep it from becoming audible. She didn't understand what was wrong with her. Or what he was doing to make her respond like this. It had never happened before. Once she had given her somewhat skewed word she felt the brush of power leave her abrptly. His arms that were holding her so tightly to him released as well. With the suddenness of both happening simultaneously added with the fact that she was off kilter with her raised foot Deal went stumbling forward when he released her. Moving dexterously to avoid tripping over her own weapons on the floor before her she managed to catch her balance and stand straight just before she took a header into the floor. She turned to stare at the Vampire as he gave her instructions. With a growl of anger she picked up the already removed weapons and dumped them onto the table he indicated. If he wanted to move to another room to discuss he would just have to wait a moment. An when he guesstured for her to go first she knew she would be taking her sweet time just to dig into his craw a little more. With a sigh she began sliding off her leather jacket, folding it delicately and laying it on the table. Her back was bare in her newly created corset top, displaying her upper back tattoo to the man as she kept her back to him, as if to prove she had no fear of him, while she unclipped the shoulder holster she wore an added it to the pile. Also revealed with the removal of her jacket was the spring loaded wrist sheath on her right arm, that housed a knife. When he informed her that the second part was not in his original negotiations and would cost more her head snapped around, her lip curled into a slight snarl. Badly she wanted to pick up one of her guns and shoot him between the eyes but she fought the urge. Reaching back to pull the small gun from the inner pants holder at the back of her pants she added it to the pile. She quickly undid the snaps of the sheath around her wrist and addedt that to the pile. Lastly Deal went for her belt undoing it then opening just the belt she began pulling on a rung hidden on the other side. A long thin wire started emerging and Deal added the garrote to the pile of weapons. Finally she turned back to face Gerard, still motioning for her to go ahead first. She followed his directions into the 'Grand Room' And took one of the seats he indicated. She actually appreciated that he got right down to business and didn't pussy foot around. She took a moment to think of an answer. "By your estate here I can tell that offering you money would just be ridiculous. I can offer you some of my finer quality merchandise. Enough to keep any of your staff inline. Or if there's something perhaps you would like me to create I could also work on that. A future creation of your choice." Deal began throwing out options. The easier ones first. She offer her dabbling as a hit woman or darker messenger later in exchange for all of their safety. For now she hoped this would suffice. |

The effect that the vampire’s power had on the lioness would be difficult to ignore if he was even trying to. No with each brush of his power he monitored just how she reacted to it cataloguing it away in one of the deep files of his mind. All knowledge was worth having and all power derives from knowledge. It was also hard to miss just how confused she was acting because of everything. In his travels Gerard had often found that some of the most outwardly dominate people in the world were really behind closed doors nothing but submissive. It was about balance and some required it, he did not. It would be worth a further investigation and he had an idea just how it would come about. After he released her and the rather horrid display of dexterity and agility he waited. Time to the immortal truly meant nothing and the more she wished to waste of her own life in such petty displays of would be dominance the more it was wasted. So he waited as he watched her find new and interesting places to remove more and more weapons across her body. While he was most likely sure she had more then that it was not a pressing issue there was nothing there that could truly end his life before he could respond to it. It would hurt and be annoying to heal from but it was not dangerous enough., not yet. Gerard could not help but see how she disfigured the top and it took much out of him to not be able to tsk softly as such a wanton display of pettiness. The dress would have looked magnificent on her and it was a shame that it had been given to someone with no respect. That would change, he was sure of it. When they both settled into their chairs Gerard just listened. Then after letting her words fade off into the distance did he actually reply. “An astute observation Dhelia, you would be correct that any amount of money offered would in fact be a near enough insult. As far as my staff goes I have some staff that has served with me for over six generations so I do not think loyalty is a problem. While I know that you have a flexible mind and fantastic in the art of biochemistry I am a majority share holder in several multibillion dollar pharmaceutical companies. While it does hold merit with what you all ready have created I tend to keep my business dealings legitimate as possible so that they run smoothly and quickly without government inference. So none of these things are holding my interest” |

Deal sighed. She knew he was not going to be making things easy on her. It was expected but still to outright turn down a first offer frustrated the blonde lioness. And that he seemed to know so much about her and her background unnerved the usually stealthy blonde. "I somehow doubt everything you do is above board." Deal muttered shifting uncomfortably in her seat. "And on that note then. What about having me and mine to act out some dark little act you need done with your hands clean. Surely that would be worth something to you. Having an expert team willing to accomplish a goal that could never be connected to you. It could be years down the road or tomorrow." Deal offered. "Or is there something you specifically want in exchange for Chuck's freedom and the continued freedom and safety of me and mine? Perhaps it would be a better negotiating point if you tell me what you want and I tell you what I can give." Deal said sitting back in her seat and crossing her legs. She was sure he would ask her to deliver the moon or something equally outrageous that he knew she could not deliver on. But then that was the whole point of negotiations. One asked for the moon and the other offered a blade of grass and y ou met somewhere in the middle. |

Everyone handles dealing with the vampire slightly different. There were some that were honored that he had gone through so much trouble to learn everything about them and others that felt deeply unnerved by it. Eventually it did not matter because everyone that was invited or expected to come through those doors were very well researched and planned for nearly every eventuality. This lioness was made nervous apparently not many had known about her not his problem but it is one that can be capitalized on. “I said my businesses act in a completely legitimate matter, even this transaction and negotiation is legitimate in the eyes of the council.” “Do you think my hands ever show up dirty Ms Wayne? Do you think one of my age has not learned about discretion? No you are offering me something can in fact be traced back to me were I to use you in that regard. There is this meeting, the witnesses at the river’s edge and all those that have seen you or your former man in the same company. No you are not without trace back to me and thus cannot be offered in our negotiation.” “Well we seem to be unclear about the direction of our first negotiation. You wish to discuss the safety of yours from me and yet you have to reaquire your former man. Until we reach an agreement about him anything we are to agree on would not cover him only you and your other lion. So I would very much appreciate that we remain on task for this arrangement. It should make quick work of this as far as what you can offer me or what I would accept I do not know.” “I am not the usual person you are accustomed to working with. I cannot be bought or cowed by money, power, or favors. These are all things I have all ready, what you would be depriving me of is a resource that is something that I cannot oblige without having something similar in payment” |

Shot down at every turn. He made her feel inadequate like she had nothing to offer. Like this was some huge trap to take over what was hers. She could not stand for that. She had taken out those that had tried to pigeon hole her before. Killed them without thought without care when they tried to control her. They had all been weak in the end. All unable to take control. Why was this man any different? "He is not former. He is mine. You cannot claim ownership of something stolen. His loyalty is to me. I made him." Deal stated. Trying to remain firm yet the words were said through clenched, frustrated teeth. Her fingers twitched gripping the arms of the chair she sat in when he went on to explain that she could not yet barter for safety for all of hers when she had yet to reaquire Chuck himself. "A resource? Of what... food? I've offered you everything else Chuck is good for and you don't want it. The only thing left is food. Fine... You've had him for less then a day. I will offer myself in his place for a day to be your food. That seems fair to me. It meets your standards. I'm making a similiar payment for that which you have taken." Deal offered hurredly. She had never been food for a Vamp. Had never desired to be so. She saw it as a weak man's act. But in this she was once more proving her dodminance. Taking the place of one of hers would prove that she was leader enough to rule. How bad could it be really. She had heard the stories of those who craved to be fed from. Who found the hole experience orgasmic. She had no misconceptions that Gerard would make it pleasant for her. She knew it would not be. He wanted to teach her a lesson. She was no fool. Her legs uncrossed and moved into wide stance. She leaned forward, elbows resting on her knees, as she sat. A very unladylike pose she put herself in. But she found that men wouldn't try and coddle her as much if she didn't act like a lady. She'd rather everything be on the level then be spoken down to because she was a woman. She waited for him to agree to this first negotation. Waited as she thought of her next move. What more could she offer him in exchange for the safety of her small little clan. To ensure those, Frank and Chuck, who trusted her to keep them safe, fed, and stable as she expected them to watch her back would not be food. In rankled her nerves to think that somehow she had brought this on them. And if making herself the only one of the three he could feed from kept them safe she would do it. Perhaps to agree to being a meal once a month maybe that would appease him to keep the others safe. But for now she waited. |
