His hair flows like living water down to the small of his back and often is seem to mimic the former God’s moods and the waves themselves. He is always seem to be standing up straight as can be carrying a certain Fey Pride that is only held by the Royal’s themselves. He can usually be seen in loose fitting clothing that can hide his many weapons and not restrict his movements of the cool tones of the water that he has given up. He has the Sidhe tricolored eyes of Silver, Blue, and Grey. When impassioned or angered often his power will show within his eyes and show the roiling storm that always rests within. Picture: ![]() Gabriel Aubry Personality Description: Like the sea itself Lir’s moods ebb and flow depending on the situation. He can be quite moody as the emotions that he feels can be in direct representation to the weather or the presence of water. His time spent within the Queen’s Ravens has made him quick to follow orders of his Captain or the Queen herself. Honorable to a fault, Lir will refuse to break any oath given even if it means his own death or discomfort. There are few things that would be worth being forsworn and he has yet to find it. When asked a question that he does not wish to answer he has perfected the fine art of sidestep and distraction giving full credence to the saying “Fey might as well be lying with how close they cut the truth” He is a warrior first and foremost now the rest of who he was has sense died upon taking the new name. Though the normal lifetime of a mortal is but a blink to those that time seems to have forgotten that does not mean their lives are not also filled with meaningful events that shape the very thread of their lives. Lir, or as he was once known Aedoin, was born into the very royal courts of the Sidhe themselves. He is not the oldest amongst them but he remembers far back in the beginning when they were placed before the ranks of men as more then Gods. His parents were an interesting couple, one hailing from the very depths of the ocean as revered as the ruler of one of the great oceans and his mother an ethereal thing of wind and air. It has often been said that the time of Lir’s conception was when the water over took the land and a great storm covered the earth but this is a thing of legend and few whisper about it to this day thinking it is too hard to remember what once was and no longer is. He was born too much jubilation for any Sidhe born within he courts was a celebration for they are rare treasures indeed. He had the power of his Father and the logic of his mother as he was raised in the palace in the depths and the Darkling Throne to learn the ways of the fey people. When he was of age he set out to the lands of the human to learn about the interesting creatures that seemed to have an infatuation for his people. They were a primitive lot but they held an endearing quality even with their short lives. Sure he could have brought them within the lands of fairy so that they would live forever at his side but that would be causing the very thing that made them interesting to be cut off. No he stayed amongst them and learned there ways and taught them as he was taught. Soon they knew how to craft boats so that they could harness the breath of his mother and glide across the bounds of the ocean. He taught them how to fish so that they would never have to feel the pain of going hungry. It was then that with each generation passing that he was growing stronger as his name was whispered across the villages. When they called out his name he would move faster than the elements to come to their aid when they had gone too far into the ocean or the streams were too rough. It was then that he was worshiped as not a thing of the sea itself where he drew his power but as a guardian of the people. It was through his people that he gained his second hand of power, the hand of protection. Never again would his people fall ill or suffer the slings and arrows of another tribe. Old age was all that hunted them and there was a time of peace. Peace is not meant to last and neither was this golden time. As the age of reason and science descended upon the growing people so did their reliance on the gods that they had come to worship. When the worship faded away so did the powers that protected them and soon the people that the Sidhe had come to care for were no longer safe from the technology that was brought to their island. They were killed, enslaved, and beaten at every opportunity from the onslaught of the advancing army and he was powerless to stop them. Even fighting amongst their side was enough and eventually like many of the fey he retreated back to their holy places to be forgotten by time but by a rare few. This was the beginning of the passing of Andoic. The last and final tragedy that forever broke the falling God was one of a simple dark haired maiden. She was the first amongst many in the eyes of Andoic a beautiful and fair lady who lived in a coastal community yet untouched by the would be ravaging of the weaponized war. She was beautiful in every single way but what stood out above all her qualities was the way she laughed. Every time the falling god heard it his heart soared as the sea swelled. He watched her from afar, afraid that the impact of his affection would curse the girl but his wish would not come to pass. She saw right through him every step of the way and had also fallen for the silent stranger. They finally met when he was watching over her as she brought water from the spring and it was there that she greeted him and it was at that moment that they were able to touch and kiss. Finally able to be together the two were married within a blink of the eye. They never had enough time to every try for children the armies of men were upon them. Andoic went to the field of battle to protect his love and the life that he had. It would not be the army knew of the presence of the Ocean Lord and his love and sent assassins to try and force Andioc to their bidding. Although he fought bravely and with valor he was but one person. Falling back to defend the last part of their home the Sidhe Lord failed to see the four assassins that slipped through the defenses. In the girl’s favor she dispatched three of them before in a desperate defense the assassin held high the gleaming blade that would forever end the wondrous laughter. The piercing scream still haunted the Ocean Lord as he reached out with all that he had left to shield his wife. He failed. Time passed as it always did and within a blink of the eye thousands years passed within the hollow hills. The queens sent out a call to all of the high ranking Sidhe royals calling them to become their guard. Those with the power needed to keep the Queen safe were picked first and it was an honor to serve the royal person in every way. Lir was a good soldier followed the orders of the captain of the guard and won many commendations in his service. Though the memory of what was lost forever hangs over him. Swearing an oath of celibacy so that he would never again fail the woman he loved he gave up the rights to the Queen’s Bed. He gave up his right to any bed thereafter. It made him the perfect choice when the princess went missing. One that could not only withstand the charms and protect himself from it but every living thing required water or was near water at some point. That made Lir the perfect tracker. He was dispatched to either bring back the wayward princess or to continue the royal line. That made it only once choice that he would find the princess and keep her safe until the she consented to bring him home. Perhaps even the free spirit of Paris can take its toll on the Edited by Lir, Dec 27 2008, 05:14 PM.
