Aidan sat there for another minute, gun trained on the one dining room entrance he could see. He heard her move around a little and then everything went quiet. “Mabel?” Aidan stood up slowly, gun still trained on the doorway as he walked backwards towards the stairs. Crouching low, Aidan couldn’t see the woman anymore. With a frown, Aidan stood back up and hit the release on his weapon. Catching the clip in his free hand, Aidan then pulled the slide back, letting the loaded bullet pop out of the gun and onto the carpeted floor. Aidan tossed the clip in one direction, then the gun in another. No need to give her any further weapons than what she came with. Frowning a little, Aidan moved towards the stairs, stripping out of his clothing as he did. Dropping it in a pile at the top of the stairs, Aidan jumped off of the bridge landing. Halfway down the man was replaced by a large sleek snow leopard landing with muffled thuds onto the hardwood floor. Eyes blinking, Aidan prowled low to the floor, whiskers twitching as he tested the air. Cautiously, the big cat moved into the dining room. Ears twitching around like radar, he didn’t hear anything noteworthy so continued on until he found the pair of shoes and socks. Clever. It would seem Mabel had adapted quite well to her abilities. This would only make things more interesting he was sure. Aidan followed her scent all the way to the closed back door. Head peeking out the window, he didn’t see anything outside except for the usual, including the balcony. With a small growl, the leopard spun around, quickly making its way back to and up the stairs. Back up on the landing, Aidan then moved over to the Y in the hallway, then took the right path, spinning around and crouching low in anticipation. The only entrance that wasn’t a window was down the left side of the Y, and Aidan would be in prime pouncing position should she come down the hall. |
