Groaning to himself, Aidan started to turn around to face the door. “Alright, I’ll…,” or not, as the door went flying open to slam into the wall. ”You are NOT getting away from me this time!” The shot echoed through the foyer, the sight and sound of the window in the great room exploding as the bullet ripped through it. With a muttered curse, Aidan watched as Mabel, quick as ever, darted into the dining room after taking her shot. “I dunno what you’re talking about Mabel. Get away from you?” Aidan’s first thought had been to run into the great room, though that was directly connected to the dining room, and Aidan immediately discarded that course of action. Aiming instead at the wall, Aidan lifted his own gun and took three shots that punched easily through the wall, around knee height. “Y’know, I think we should really talk this through.” Aidan moved slowly towards the dining room entry way that Mabel had taken. A quick glance in the doorway did not show the woman. Backing up, Aidan quickly turned around, sprinting up the stairs three at a time. Once atop the stairs Aidan moved down the short expanse, crouching behind the wall there and peering around, gun trained at the dining room entrance.
