Thank you's were not said among the fey. Especially to one as old and as respected as Lir. Still Arden was trying to use the excuse of 'appreciation for his help' to seek him out away from the club. Perhaps it was partly some sick perversion of hers to get closer to the man who was so famed for his chastity as one of the Queen's Ravens and also the tales of the loss of his true love and wife. Arden had a thing for pain it was true. Sometimes that pain didn't have to be physical. Still the man Lir had intervened on her behalf when a young upstart thought he could get handsy with her. Ardie knew his type. Knew he was all about the power play and trying to act like big man showing off in front of his boys. She could have handled him with no problems. Her years in her chosen profession had taught her how to handle all different kinds of men. Except one kind. The kind of man she assumed this Lir to be. And t hat was what made him all the more intriguing. She had weaseled his whereabouts out of some of the other staff and heresay from Temptations and now found herself outside a warehouse like structure. The man built boats in his spare time?! Seriously what else would she expect from a former water god. She made her way to the small door that stood to the side of the larger garage like doors. Raising the edible arrangement up in her arms she wrapped gently upon the door and waited. |
