Carina had not spent that much time outside the car since she and Mary had left. Stupidly, she hadn't thought of taking her father's money before she had sped off in the car, and so they had no place to stay and very little food to eat. During the day, Carina had often fallen asleep in the car, leaving Mary to do whatever antics she needed to. At night, Carina felt like she was practically a criminal - she broke into vending machines to get food for the both of them, and though the food certainly wasn't healthy, it kept them going and that was important. It had only been about a week since they had escaped, but Carina still had not brought up the topic of what had happened. There was a part of her that didn't want to know, and she wasn't sure whether Mary would be ready talk to talk about it. Carina certainly didn't want to talk about what she had done to their parents. But she did talk to Mary about other things...like the weather, the few good memories they had, and their 'powers' so to speak. On this particular night, the topic of necromancy had come up. Carina still had next to no knowledge about her powers, whereas Mary was slightly more...trained. Either way, the concept of it scared her still, and the more she thought about it, the more confused she became. It was with this that she had decided to go to Quills, a library/bookstore run by vampires no less. It had just...felt right to go there for whatever reason, and thankfully, the library had hundreds of books relating to the subject. So, sitting quietly at a table with an enormous pile of books on necromancy, alchemy, and any other so-called 'dark-art', Carina took hundreds and hundreds of notes, some of them true, but most of them false. "Mary, what was it again that you said you knew?" Carina questioned her sister, whilst reading a book that was telling her that raising the dead was a psychic's job.
