Requirements: - Portal - Portal Prelude - Yandols' Portal Prelude Launcher Alright, the first thing you need is a working copy of the original Portal game. Next you'll need to download Portal Prelude from their official site at http://www.portalprelude.com/ After you finished downloading it, launch the setup and install it to a folder called "portal prelude" After the installation, do not restart your computer. Instead, go to the folder where it was installed. Inside that folder you should be able to see the following files:  Now rename that "portal prelude" folder to "portal_prelude" without the quotes. Now move that portal_prelude folder to your Portal game folder. After that, it should be something like this:  Now download the Portal Prelude Launcher i made to launch the game. Link: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2mtym2z25my Extract the Portalpreludelauncher.exe file from the archive then put it into the game folder as you can see in the image above. Launch the game, after that DO NOT START PLAYING YET! YOU MUST PRESS QUIT. After you quitted, the settings are properly stored, and you can now properly start playing the game, but i recommend you restart your computer first.  Enjoy~ Yandols |

Hi, It doesn't work with me. When I click on the launcher, it searches for a little while and then says "The launcher is unable to locate the game file". Regards. |

Are you sure you've put the launcher into the game folder? (the folder where "hl2.exe" is) |

Actually, the answer is no. I just realize that it couldn't work that Portal prelude automatically chooses C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods as installing file and there is no hl2.exe in there. Now I uninstalled it and re-installed it into C:\Program Files\Valvesoftware\The Orange Box\portal and now it works well. Thanks! Edited by tlax38, 28 Oct 2011, 09:03 PM.
