http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9PT2qKYWAM BOOK THREE FINAL PART! Noctus finally jumped over Top’s head and tackled the Tech Core, activating it accidentally in an odd way. Silver buildings started to erupt out of the surface of the sea. The three looked at each other, shrugged, and headed on along the rooftops of these buildings. “Do you feel that?” Matt asked. “A source of power is drawing near... we should be fully back to normal soon. Which means that we should be able to get out of here. Wait. What is that, on the horizon that I see?” I saw it too, a speck of silver, growing quickly into what looked like a bridge made of houses and factories. “That’s... interesting, to say the least. But I feel it too. Guess that’s our free ticket out of here. What is this place, anyway?” “And how did you get Count Bleah’s power?” Jupiter asked. “Normally, we’d skip me actually saying all of this. However, we have to waste as much time as we possibly can. Even though we’re in a hurry. Doesn’t make much sense, I know. Well, my son, Rotu, made a deal with Count Bleah.” “I knew his leadership was no good!” Jupiter hissed. “He traded the power that he had inherited in my bloodline–though he had some left from his mother as well–for some of Count Bleah’s. When we fought, Count Bleah’s power absorbed into me. You two need to experience it, as I’ve done so many times–the thrill of absorbing the energies of a person as their meaningless lives end.” “Matt!” I yelled. “You killed your son?! You idiot! You frickin’ stupid idiot! You expect me to approve when I’m against killing in the first place?! When I’m against you, and everyone else, with all of their murderous ideas?!” Matt shook his head. “Death is a natural part of the cycle of life, my friend. Without it, every planet would soon become filled with the expansive colonies of people. There could be no order, or unity in a universe unending. Soon the teleportations between them would result in magical spots so overused, that you could not trip and fall without landing in another world!” We looked apart from each other. Finally, I asked, “Jupiter, what do you think?” “I agree with Matt on some points,” she replied. “But to work with Count Bleah in order to enforce such a thing... the end does not justify the means.” “The bridge is here. Let’s find Topmonhit–he probably knows how to deal with Count Bleah from years of experience, right?” “Wait!” Matt shouted. “You’ve figured me out, haven’t you?!” “Yes, Bleah, I know you’re in control of my friend’s body. I don’t really think he would let you do that on his own, so all the easier to deal with you!” Count Bleah shot a blast of void at me, but I jumped to avoid it and landed on the bridge of buildings, Jupiter close by. Soon I could see the faint shapes of Mouse, Noctus, and Top. “TOP!” I shouted as I came near. “Count Bleah is here!” “What!” he said. “That is a problem. I’ll... stay here and deal with it. You four go to... wait, where are you going anyway?” “The East Base,” I said. “I have a gut feeling about that place somehow. And, you know, my gut feeling has never been wrong. Only lets me down when I disobey it.” Mouse hugged me tightly. “What the heck did you do?” I laughed. “I only investigated some incidents. Found out that my supposed friend is really working with the most evil creature imaginable. Which isn’t so new. Don’t worry.” “How did you use this thing?” Noctus asked. “Even my intellect hasn’t been able to find out how this Tech Core ticks.” “That’s because only its creator is its master!” I shouted, turning the bridge into a thing that would move us towards our destination really fast. Everyone, I thought, forgive me for opposing you. But here I come tonight! The village’s imports had grown to finally include some horses. That meant that Lynn, Seth, Anna, Eibmoz, and older Noctus had mounts. Remember Emily rides Mark. You know, I never thought this group would start looking small again. So they began the long journey on towards the Eastern Base. You know what? It may be that I’ll end up finishing Book Three, tonight, in this very part. I hope not, but hey, we’ll just have to wait and see about that one, huh? The problem here is that, as always, the only thing I can be expected to do is skip the trip, hey that rhymed. Anyway, as I was saying, the planet-named people have very little reason to get into this conflict. Maybe because they aren’t main enough main characters to have the bit of um personality to pick a real side. They just don’t like Jupiter right now. And so they just won’t get involved. Which is a problem for Count Bleah, isn’t it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqWU2fcJA4c&feature=related “We’re here,” I said, making the boosting thing disappear. “Now... I suppose we have to wait for some things to unravel.” Jupiter sighed. “I don’t even know why I’m working with you.” I shrugged. “You can leave if you want.” She took it more literally than I’d hoped, turned on her heel and walked out. And here I had no idea that that moment was the biggest mistake of... whose life? Mine? Hers? Not quite sure if I look back on it. I’ll leave you to decide. Lynn and Seth and the others arrived outside the East Base, watching it morph into a huge castle. “Oh, great,” Lynn said. “Now we’re stuck having to get in through undoubtedly a huge number of traps. Or one trap that’s just impenetrable.” “It can’t be impenetrable,” Noctus said. “Or how would they enter and exit themselves?” “Knowing this stuff, they won’t need to,” Anna sighed. “Any way you look at it, the only thing we can do is try and get in straight through.” The group entered the front door to find that it was a dungeon sort of place. You know, the actual location, a final castle, filled with all sorts of impossible puzzles. However, puzzles are not really my specialty, and they’re much easier to design in... well any context other than writing. I don’t have a lot of great trap ideas, either, and it probably would make more sense if it was NOT an impenetrable castle. It’d be better to finish them myself... whoa! Going all villain here! But, of course, they did think of me like a villain by now. Why else would they even have to go through a long and treacherous dungeon just to meet up with me? It really is only fair to have a villain figure somewhere among the long and odd plotline. And I guess that makes that villain... me. Once again, I’ve been stuck in the evil position, since as long as Topmonhit is dealing with Count Bleah out there, I’m the next-most-evil from the point of view of... pretty much everybody. Is saving people a crime? Everyone came into the core room. “Ein!” Lynn shouted. “Give up, now! I’m through trying to convince you of anything, or trying to talk to you. This ends now!” Seth sighed. “She’s right, you know. After all those traps–” “There were traps?” “Yes, why wouldn’t you know that? Anyway, let’s not waste words.” “I guess this is it. Time to fight... every last one of you. I’m sorry. But I have no regrets.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAHXV1lsB5g&feature=related Everyone drew all of their weapons. Noctus jumped into the battle first–only to run into himself. The two Noctuses faced off, perfectly matched despite the age difference. How could a two - year - old kid stand up to his twenty - two - year - old self? Mouse was left as the only person who stood right by my side, which I really needed as I spun with my arrowspear, using the Tech Core to fuel me and Mouse alone. After all, we were so terribly outnumbered. It’s really like one of Top’s battle styles, I suppose, only I’m not very good at that–especially when nobody wins! Oops. Lynn first, I should describe each person. She seemed so much more... I don’t know, it was a bit like she was pitying me. I had never seen her so hesitant to fight, yet her mighty axe swings and blasts of ice didn’t give me a break either way. Seth had dropped his disguise to focus more power on trying to destroy everything between him and me. Luckily, it was a slow effort that took more energy than it was worth. His blood red eyes didn’t show the remorse that Lynn’s did. Anna was easily among the freakiest of my enemies here, her wild eyes filled with a rage that didn’t get any quenching no matter how much she hacked with the whipsword. Emily and Mark together seemed the most emotionless and professional sorts of fighters in the room, coming at me levelheadedly together in a very tactical way. Eibmoz seemed to be terribly enjoying all the spells he flung my way. They were few and far between, but each took a lot of Tech Core power to deflect. I started to realize the capabilities of it, as well as the extent of its limits. Mouse used her ninja moves to a startling degree, empowered and protected by the Tech Core’s power. I used everything I’d ever learned together to stop anyone from hurting either of us. The stress of battle hung over everyone in the room. I felt something strange in the Tech Core. I suddenly realized it was going to implode. With a focus, I quickly released every bit of its remaining power, knocking back everyone. That included those on my side. I myself barely withstood it. “It’s not over yet!” yelled a voice. Jupiter leapt into the room and struck, just barely a move I could block at all. “You will not escape this time, Ein!” “If that’s what you thought, you should have tried me while I was down!” With that, I too jumped into battle, our blades, nearly identical, clashing with a frustratingly well-matched sort of rhythm. It wouldn’t end! This battle dragged on as we both tried to gain an edge, but that seemed to be impossible as far as we were concerned. We, too, started to get really tired as we fought. Soon, the impact of the blades was barely enough to... well we could barely pick them up eventually. No strikes between us truly made, it was just a big wasted effort. All of it. In unison we said to each other, “Why won’t you just DIE?!” “That can be arranged,” said someone from the door that I didn’t recognize really, but his aura felt very, terribly familiar. “Count Bleah!” Jupiter said. “You waited until we had almost defeated each other. So we would become defenseless. And now you’re going to finish us off... you coward.” “I rather think you’re the ones who should be afraid,” he pointed out, “As you’re about to meet your deaths, right here, right now!” I laughed. “I can’t die! I don’t have an heir!” “Hm, so you never found out...” Count Bleah pondered. “Interesting.” Suddenly a sword stabbed him in the back. “Enough, Count Bleah! You’ve spent enough time in my body tormenting them, now you’re doing it yourself! But I, the master of this world as I have rightfully inherited, banish you away from this dimension forever!” Count Bleah screamed incoherently, fading away. “Thank you, Matt. I knew you’d come through anyway.” Suddenly I felt myself being hit in the back as I said that. I looked back to see Jupiter. Only Jupiter wasn’t her name at all. It actually... was Enni. It’s not Enna, because that sounds too much like Anna. I realized I wouldn’t live. “You were wrong about you not having an heir... father.” “There’s a paradox, Enni. If I die... how can I become your father?” “That, we’ll leave for time to figure out. You’ve played this game long enough. It’s about time that I, after all I’ve been through, got to win.” Enni pulled it out. “You haven’t heard my own story at all. But, I suppose that’s a completely different tale.” “Yes, well... mine ends here.” THE END. AS IF I HADN'T MADE IT CLEAR ENOUGH. |

Anyway I just realized there's a paradox in that AFLAC wasn't travelling around with me until after Count Bleah's Poppy body was destroyed; although he traveled with me earlier, it would have been to early. MEANING I DON'T CARE clap clap clap |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1c2hN0YCqls&feature=related THE PART THAT’S NOT A PART (BUT STILL COUNTS) - AN INTERLUDE CREDITS Ein, Lynn, Seth, Mark, Emily, Matt Created by Wary [THAT’S ME] Anna Created by Black_Robed_Mage [Gamepumpkin] Eibmoz, Noctus, Mouse, Nelda Created by Pro-ChainSaw [Wrerga Chronicles] Saul Tapia Created by Commander_X [Gamepumpkin] Topmonhit, Count Bleah Created by Topmonhit [Top Inc.] Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, and Rotu Not really created yet [Gamepumpkin?] SPECIAL THANKS Topmonhit, SZM and PMF for reading and occasionally giving me advice Pro-ChainSaw for working with me in the core of the plot With the death of a comrade, time’s grip returns to its position, and life resumes. The children of the Sils, the second generation of the Falî, are brought up in the home planets of their parents, in foster care, not knowing of their past. Thus begins... Jupiter’s Story. But that is a tale for another thread! Yes, I’m finally going to call this one finished. In this half of a part, I might as well tell you a few random facts that probably don’t spoil anything anyway. First, the name of this thread. I was originally intending to do only Book Two for NaNoWriMo (if you don’t know what that is, shame on you) but of course it already ended. The name of the trilogy is set to be Pure in Fight, but I used Book Two’s name, Sea of Bodies, for this thread. Book One was titled Forest of Destruction, and Book Three was called Mountain of Lies. Book One took me nearly two years to complete, filled with months of plotting and trying to make it really good. For that reason, it wasn’t “random” enough to please anyone here. This thread was originally intended for that, but I realized, as I began rushing Books Two and Three for NaNoWriMo, that the scenes I made often became funny because I didn’t have time to make them make any sort of sense. These two, I finished in less than a month, combined. The reason I’ve been using music from mostly Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia when I could–which most of you probably haven’t played–is because those are the games that mostly inspired my plot, all the way down to the main characters growing wings. However, it’s been more and more evident that I’m also inspired by the RP’s and stories that you guys yourselves do at the communities like ROB and Top Inc. Keep up the good work. The names of the heirs used in this book were code names given for two reasons. The first was that I honestly hadn’t thought of enough names and it was a large batch to get all at once. But the other reason has to do with the fact that Earth is the name of both an element and a planet–in the traditional sense, not just my own elemental scheme. So I used other planets’ names. This little bit does become important later in the general plot. Yesterday’s ending was actually among the few plot points I had planned for a very, very long time. The trouble was that I hadn’t figured out how it would happen. As many of you may have heard, though, I do better the less I plan something. To show my point, I’ll mention a couple of ways this might have otherwise gone down. I thought of having Matt and Ein fight in the end, and both die, but because of Rotu’s disappearance I thought this might be too big a mess. I also thought of having Mouse betray Ein in the end, but this might imply that it’s her fault that he has an heir, when I actually DELIBERATELY left as many ambiguous couples as possible. After all, letting the fans pair them up in their minds has a great result. That’s all I can really think of for this thing that I barely count as a Part. With the new plot comes a need for new guest stars, which I’ll explain in the new thread. The base concept? Aliens. I need lots of aliens to fill my roster. I hope to see you all soon at Jupiter’s Story! |
