Most of the codes we installed no longer work (such as Thunder Arcade which was the main point of this site). However, I have created my own forum and I am working on creating a new flash arcade. It currently has only 40 games and no high score system, but I hope to change that in the future. OK, in this thread we post our top 5 movies (or less if you don't have that many) that you never ever ever get tired of watching no matter how many times you see them. I'm not talking top 5 movies of all-time, just the ones that never make you change the channel when they come on TV. The kind that you never say "I don't feel like watching that" if a friend suggests it for movie night. The kind you can watch more than once in the same day and still be excited to see it every time. It doesn't matter what genre of movie, whether it makes you laugh, cry, or jump out of your seat when the killer suddenly appears out of nowhere even though you've seen it a hundred times. Well, you get the idea. And they don't have to be in any specific order. I'll start..... 1) Better Off Dead - With lines like "Gee I'm real sorry your mom blew up, Ricky." and "Lane, I've been going to this high school for seven and a half years. I'm no dummy." This comedy is perhaps my favorite movie of all-time. 2) The Truman Show - As the old saying goes, "All the world's a stage, and we are merely players." Oh how many times I have wished there was an exit door to my life and I could just step through into the real world. 3) Star Wars (a.k.a. Episode 4) - Yeah ok I admit it. I'm a Star Wars fangirl. I mean I don't go to conventions dressed as Leia in the gold bikini (despite Keedo's begging :gooby ). I love Star Wars so much, that I even like The Phantom Menace (though Jar Jar can go screw). But the original Star Wars was a part of my childhood more so than anything else I can think of. 4) The Wrath Of Khan - I still prefer Star Wars over Star Trek, but I'm not one of those idiots that tries to argue which is better. And this movie is a prime example not only of why Star Trek is awesome in its own way, but also an example of why the original crew was the best. The only Next Generation movie that even comes close is First Contact. But I digress. Wrath Of Khan is awesome on so many levels. It proves that William Shatner can actually act. And it proves Ricardo Montalban is one of the greatest and sexiest actors ever (yes, I know the muscles were fake). :shmoopy And of course Khan's dying line is one of my favorite movie quotes of all time: "No. No you can't get away. From hell's heart I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!" 5) Aliens - Come on, do I really need to explain why I can watch this movie over and over and over? Amazing acting by every single cast member, amazing special effects that still look good today, exciting action sequences, need I say more? "That's it man! Game over! GAME OVER!!" |
