The open outskirts of the village. It is a vast plain, dotted with forests.

The village hidden in the mist, run by the Mizukage.

The watery outskirts of the Village Hidden in the Mist. Foggy plains, and open seas, and rivers.

The village hidden in the sands, run by the Kazekage.

These are the outskirts to the Village Hidden in the Sand. It is largely comprised of deserts. Many dangerous sandstorms plague this area.

The village hidden in the clouds, run by the Raikage.

This is the are outside the Village Hidden in the Clouds. It is comprised of vast mountain ranges, and a large network of rivers leading into the Sea.

The village hidden in the rocks, run by the Tsuchikage.

This is the area outside of the Village Hidden in the Rocks. The border of this country is a mountain range. It's interior is made up of rocky regions, with strong winds blowing over the mountains.
