Lindel sat meditating on the floor of his ship quarters, his eyes were closed and he was taking short far between breaths, his legs were crossed and he was wearing his white Jedi robes, with a cloak draped over his whole body, the hood covering his face in shadow, his lightsabers were attached to his belt,an inactive data-pad sat just a little bit in front of him,it was completely silent in the small room expect the low dull humming coming from the lights. Lindel slowly focused on the data-pad in front of him and before long it began to shake, then with a bit more focus it slowly began to rise,it hovered in front of his face and manipulating the force even more Lindel turned it over a couple of times, then he activated it,with a small beep the pads blue screen lit up,Lindel raised his hand and grabbed hold of the pad,he began looking through its contents,he sighed to himself a little
OK I have enough consumables left for another week, then I will have to take another trip into the town, the Sith presence has increased very slightly here, the last time I went to the town there was a very small scout patrol,I better be careful
Lindel looked over the pad some more, then activated another section of information
The ship seems to be fine,it took a couple of hits when I escaped the enclave, need to keep checking this thing daily,I don't have the skills to fix it,so I guess all I can do is keep checking everything still is working
Lindel raised his head and looked round the room

"This ship saved me from the attack,I have to make sure it keeps working,I'm not going to be able to get another one,I guess I was just lucky there was one at the enclave..when the Sith attacked,I escaped the slaughter, but the others....dammit"

Lindel's head dropped down, the memory's made him rather sad,and angry,he clenched his fist and ground his teeth slowly, but he quickly realised that wasn't the way to feel,he should just calm down and keep a clear head,he took some deep breaths and the feelings subsided,he got to his feet and left the room with the data-pad in hand,he walked very slowly round the entire ship, checking everything was in order, and he was still going through the contents of the data-pad. Lindel walked round again when he suddenly felt uneasy,he sensed something approaching, and he didn't waste any time,he tossed the data-pad back in his room then went to the ships exit,he lowered the door down and walked down it to reach the outside, the shining golden sand covered the land, stretching far off into the horizon and beyond, the blazing sun was beating down the on landscape,it was the middle of the day and the temperature was at one of its highest points

"Tatooine, the entire planet is practically one huge desert and its very far out in the system,it was a good idea to hide out here"Lindel said with a smile on his face,he wrapped the cloak more round himself, and brought the hood further forward to shield his face from the beating sun, after walking a short distance from the ship,Lindel felt several things approaching his location and he knew what they were almost instantly
"Sand people,I'm going to have to deal with this quick,we might be far out but people still wander nearby and the scuffle could attract attention, attention I don't want"
Lindel sighed again then drew one of his lightsabers

Eve bounded across the desert, her cloak flying in the stiff breeze. Her ship had been destroyed, and her master was dead. The thought brushed her mind but she ignored it. She felt no sympathy for her greedy master. She sensed a presence that gave her a reason to draw her red saber. It hummed and glowed, and she continued running. Sand creatures. She briefly thought to herself. She sensed another presence that made her stop. She grinned wolfishly in the sunlight. She began running again. Straight to the ship and the Jedi she knew would be there. The sand people were approaching from behind her just as quickly and she sped up a little. Her silhouette blazed against the sand, and her name was justified.

(Not very long, I know. My plan was to force the two to work together against the sand people...but it's up to you.)

Lindel slowly walked towards the direction that the sand people were approaching from, and he also sensed the other approaching,he could tell it wasn't it an enemy but he was also sure it wasn't a friend either, and since no locals had to his knowledge been that strongly connected force,he then summarised it was a Jedi, but due to the feeling of uneasiness he was getting he assumed the Jedi was rogue
Who ever this is they seem to be ahead of the sand people but not by much, and both are approaching very fast, they should be here soon, since the rogue is not fighting the sand people it seems very clear that I am the target, but to fight with the sand people around seems rather foolish, but it doesn't matter the sand people will have to be dealt with then we shall see what happens
Lindel broke into a very fast run and ignited the blue saber he was carrying,he could see the rogue approaching in the distance, the sand people had yet to come into view but they've lived in the area a long time so there was a good chance they were able to conceal themselves from his sight until they decided to attack, but Lindel would be able to sense them and then he would deal with the problems he has

Eve sped up and plumes of sand billowed out from her cape. She should have discarded the thing, but she couldn't find the heart to leave it. She watched the blur of the jedi in front of her, and smiled again. She could now hear the approach of the sand creatures and whirled to a stop. She was now halfway between her adversaries. Her saber hummed and throbbed comfortingly and familiar. She watched each side of her and prepared for possible battle styles. Soon she could snese the sand creatures over the next dune and she turned away from the sun to watch the jedi approach. Her heart quickened and her blood sang in her veins. Once the sand people have been dealt with, she could catch the jedi off guard and attack him quickly before he had a chance to defend himself. She gauged that they sand people and the unknown jedi would arrive a at about the same time, giving her time to make things chaotic.

Lindel kept running even though he very close to the rogue, but the sand people were the priority now,he needed to deal with them and get out of here before the fight attracted more of them,or even worse more unwanted guests, the area was covered with sand dunes so it was impossible to tell how many of sand people were really here,a group of ten were the first lot to make an appearance they had spread out so they were approaching from different directions roaring loudly and waving they're weapons around like wild beasts.
Lindel went straight for the ones closest to him, which was only two,the first charged in and swung his weapon but the strike was slow and sloppy so Lindel quickly side stepped the blow, the weapon sunk a little into the sand and before the attacker could pull it back out Lindel cleaved of one of its arms, the beast howled in agony, using a weapon with only one arm didn't make it seem like much of a threat any more so Lindel moved on to the next one,the wounding of its companion had seemed to have sent the remaining beast into a blind rage it was swinging its staff weapon around violently Lindel was able to dodge each blow but didn't really have any opportunity to land a blow, and this one seemed to be so blinded with rage that cutting the weapon might not even phase it.
Lindel decided to try another strategy, after avoiding another blow he acted like he was exhausted and fell to one knee, the attacker quickly held his staff high above his its head ready to strike the final blow, but as soon as the staff was over its head it was wide open to attack Lindel quickly dived up and cut the attacker at the waist, the sand person stood motionless for about two seconds before the body fell over and the two half s separated
I would rather not kill them but I don't see any other way,you cant seem to negotiate with these animals

(I am going to change her name because it is too annoying to type!)

Eve watched the sand people approach more closely than she watched the Jedi. She knew they were unpredictable and required utmost attention. Both halves of her saber were now ignited and she swung quickly and fiercely. The first sand person she hit through the middle. It crumpled and she whirled and struck out again. There were more than she originally thought. She caught the jedi with the corner of her eye as he faked exhaustion. She would make sure she didn't fall for the same trick. She figured he wouldn't like killing them, and the thought made her laugh aloud as she continued her onslaught. The sand people seemed to become more enraged and unpredictable as their comrades were killed or maimed.

AS she was finishing off another opponent, she felt a weapon clip her in the side. She lost her balance and fell on her back. A sand person stood above her ready to bash her skull in. She deftly spun on her back and sent her saber soaring in an upward arc. The sand person split in half and fell ungracefully. She stood and quickly made mental note to watch her own back as well as her front.

Lindel prepared for the next attack,he got his saber at the ready as four more sand people approached him,and he knew there were still plenty more to come before this was over,he was paying little attention to the rogue, but he could tell that she was able to hold her own so far, which probably wasn't all that from him,it was wrong to wish for another person to die but she was just as much of a threat as the sand people, actually she was likely an even greater threat. Lindel quickly walked up to the first of the four as it came charging at him like a wild animal,it followed the same action as the others he had just thought,it swung the weapon forward Lindel side stepped and quickly sliced the head of at the neck, the body quickly fell over into the sand with dull thump

As he prepared to face the others Lindel turned round and one of the other sand people struck him the face with its weapon,Lindel fell backwards and rolled a little but quickly got back to his feet,he felt something trickle down his nose and noticed a small drop of crimson fall from him onto the gold sand,he quickly wiped his face and got ready for next attack, the remaining three sand people all charged forward at once so Lindel quickly pulled of the cloak he was wearing and tossed it at the three of them, they quickly managed to bat it away with they're weapons but in that time Lindel had brought out his other saber and ignited it,as the cloak fell away from the three sand people Lindel quickly lunged at them and brought each one down with a strike across the chest

The lifeless body's quickly fell and Lindel looked round for the next lot,the rogue was still fighting the sand people but they wouldn't keep attacking forever, they would retreat eventually but then they would come back with reinforcements and Lindel knew he wouldn't be able to handle that,he was starting to sweat his mouth was dry and he hadn't brought any water so he wasn't going to be able to keep this up for much longer.

Lindel wiped the sweat from his head and thought things over
Perhaps it would be best to retreat, this is nothing but foolish time wasting the longer I am out here the closer I am to being spotted by people I would rather not run into, the Sith have little to zero presence here but bounty hunters are a different story, their are hundreds of them visiting Tatooine almost everyday and I'm sure if the Sith are having trouble finding Jedi the bounty hunters will be another alternative,I really have to leave,I might be to fly the ship to an even more remote location

Eve engaged the other end of her lightsaber and the duel ends flickered and hummed. She was surrounded on all sides, but that didn't matter. She twisted the saber in a circular arc, slitting each barbarian in half. She knew there would be more, but the onslaught was over for now. She grinned and stepped towards the Jedi. Instead of attacking him however, she let her saber become silent and put it on her belt. On the other side, a sliver flask glittered in the sun. She unclipped it and took a swig of cool rejuvenating water. It cooled her burning parched mouth, and she knew that the Jedi would soon be craving the exact thing.

She gestured at him with the flask, offering to share. It wouldn't be nice to attack someone when the are exhausted. Then again, she wasn't supposed to be nice. She mentally shrugged her shoulders and continued to hold the flask out. Her master would surely be turning in his grave, but times were changing, and Jedi were becoming fewer and fewer these days. There was always time for backstabbing later, that always works well in the end. "My name is Eve." Her words were not infused with warmth, instead they were cold and distant.

Lindel extinguished his two lightsabers and returned them to his belt,he slowly allowed himself to catch his breath, the rogue was finished fighting as well, the sand people were gone, for now,he would have to leave soon, after the rogue introduced herself as Eve she offered him the flask and he badly needed a drink of water,he reached for flask slowly,he didn't think she would try anything right after the fight but he was going to be cautious, took the flask from her and took a mouthful of water,he felt better and a little refreshed,he place he cap back on and cleared his throat

"Thanks,my name is Lindel"he said calmly without any kind of tone in his voice,he handed the flask back to Eve and looked around,he spotted his cloak lying in the sand,he walked over and picked it up,there wasn't much damage he quickly shook the sand of it and put it back on
"You know that the sand people will be back soon,I advise you get out if this area and go back to what ever shelter you have, and even if the sand people don't come back this place has many other dangers"Lindel said to Eve as he began to walk back to his ship

This place might not be safe any more,I might have to leave soon, she had better not follow me,its bad enough she has seen me now but I cant let her get to my ship,it seems I might have to make a trip quicker than I anticipated, hopefully the ship is in good enough shape for a long flight

She scowled as he gave his advice, she had been living around here long enough to know the dangers. She replaced the flask on her belt and watched as he started back to his ship and she gave an inward grin. You're not geting away from me that easily Jedi. She sprinted to catch up to him and walked beside him, her mind racing am ile a minute, she needed a plan....

The lightbulb went off and she turned to Lindel. This time when she spoke, she made sure it was a bit more conversational. She lacked people skills. "Lindel, are you planning on taking off soon? You see, I've been stuck here for a while, but I can't afford transport off this planet. Would you mind me tagging along?" Jedi were suckers when it came to helping people.
