The Jaguar XKR-S![]() Overview: Displacement // 4.2ltr Power // 420 bhp Torque // 413 lb-ft Weight // 3,800 lbs Class // B The XKR-S, is by any standards a great car. In real life, it's designed to be a long distance GT Tourer... but since we can't do any of that in the game let's just get to the nitty gritty. ![]() Performance: Boasting 420bhp and 413 lbs of torque, it's by no means a slow car. Comparing it to the Audi R8 (which has the same size engine and bhp) the XKR-S actually has over 95 lb-ft of torque available over the German rival. As long as you're good at changing gears and dealing with the massive wheelspin, 0-60 is just under 5 seconds. The way in which it delivers its power is what makes it very fun to drive, not to mention the noise the car makes - it's something I could listen to all day. The deep growl of the V8 mixed in with the whining of the supercharger is something I don't think I'll ever get bored of. Handling: One thing that struck me as weird on the XKR-S is how refined it felt round the corners. Weighing in at just over 1.7 tons, you could call her a fat cow - but the fact that she stays planted in the corners with minimal understeer shows she has a great chassis and weight distribution, which is almost 50/50. If you're like me and refuse to use Traction Control you'll wonder how something with this much BHP rarely ever has the TC going off. I had to give her full throttle in some corners just to check she'd oversteer and spin out because I honestly thought I'd turned on the TC somehow. ![]() Style: I find the XKR-S to be a very attractive car. In some respects it looks like the love child of an Aston Martin DB9 and a Maserati Gran Turismo. The oversized grills at the front help give it a very aggressive stance. I love the styling so much, I haven't even changed the rims or checked if you can add a bodykit to it. Overall: A great car for it's class. You receive this car as a free gift while levelling up in the game... I recommend that you keep in your garage. - Reviewed/Images by Hazuki |
