Corvette C5 Z06![]() "A great car for the money" As a Corvette fan, this was one of the first cars I purchased in FM3. The biggest difference from the old game? It's only 26,000 CR. That's an excellent deal compared to similar vehicles in it's class such as the Murcielago (190k), 911 GT3 (65k), or even the older Viper GTS ACR (46k). On to the car itself: //Handling: The C5 handles fairly well for a FR-layout A class car. It won't dominate any grip tracks without serious tuning and modification, but that should come as a surprise to absolutely no one. The back end is very stable through most corners at high and low speed, but it does tend to plow a little through tight turns. Braking is not the car's strong point but gets the job done. ![]() //Speed/Acceleration: Normally a Corvette's strong point, the C5 does not dissapoint. It can hang with most cars in a similar PI range, and is easy to upgrade to the top of A class. It provides more than enough torque to handle longer courses, and gearing seems spot-on, especially at slower speeds. No real problems to discuss here. ![]() //Upgrade Potential: Of course one of the most important things for any car in-game is it's potential if you slap on some upgrades hoping to go REALLY fast. The C5 has everything you'd expect: An available engine swap that can put out over 900hp, plenty of handling mods and all of the necessary adjustable parts for a good tune. Unfortunately some of those upgrades get pricey in a hurry, although you can build a good A class tune from this machine without breaking the bank. The car keeps it's competent performance characteristics when upgraded and brakes a LOT better. Overall score: 4/5 - Reviewed by Minun, images by Hazuki |
