![]() WilPharma Corporation was a pharmaceutical company responsible for creating a vaccine for the T-Virus; an inoculation designed as a way to prevent further outbreaks of the virus. It publicly appeared a benevolent and innocent-looking organization but, similar to the Umbrella Corporation, was secretly conducting illegal experiments. It made several controversial decisions; most of all establishing a new research facility in Harvardville. Its downfall began when the human rights organization; Terra Save, found photos of its latest human test subjects; the result of their clinical tests on humans conducted in India. All of the victims had been exposed to the T-Virus, and so demanded that WilPharma immediately release the results of their tests. As a result of the scathing accusations hurled at them by Terra Save; the company's stock fell sharply and its and public relations degraded to the point it had protests outside it's Harvardville facility. In an effort to save the company, one of its employees; Frederic Downing, unleashed the virus on different areas around the world, as a twisted sales pitch to General Miguel Grandé; the head of the Republic of Nagiri and a sponsor of terrorism; with one such incident, where Downing himself acted as the black market broker who supplied the virus, occurring in India, with the company claiming it's "human testing" was really an attack made by terrorists who somehow got a hold of the virus. This would allow WilPharma to regain it's political standing as the U.S. Government, using the covertly-developed vaccine, solved the crisis with a minimum of casualties. To restore it's public image; Downing also unleashed the T-Virus on the Hardvardville Airport, which would in turn be crushed by the U.S. Marine Corps protected by WilPharma's vaccine, and the outbreak itself would be blamed on a former-Terra Save member who was an Anti-WilPharma extremeist; Doctor Curtis Miller, and then WilPharma would claim civilian lives were lost due to Terra Save effectively backing them into a corner and forcing them to withhold the vaccine from the nearby population; making the outbreak's casualties the fault of Terra Save. The plan ultimately came undone when the combined efforts of Leon Scott Kennedy and Claire Redfield exposed Downing's scheme (when Downing attempted to escape and sell different strains of the T and G-Virus' to Grandé). As a result; the company went bankrupt. The TriCell Pharmaceutical Company offered to purchase WilPharma. Known Members WilPharma Corporation Special Advisor & Major Stockholder Senator Ron Davis (resigned & deceased) WilPharma Head Researcher Frederic Downing (imprisoned). WilPharma was a pharmaceutical enterprise, responsible for the creation of the T-Vaccine. History WilPharma was to the city of Harvardville what Umbrella was to Raccoon City, being responsible for a vast majority of the city's economic growth and prosperity. Following the Raccoon City Incident, the public's faith in the pharmaceutical industry descended rapidly. WilPharma also suffered from the backlash. At some point following the crisis, the US government allocated 10 billion dollars for a secretive anti bio-terror program to be administered exclusively by WilPharma - the creation of a vaccine for the dreaded T-virus. By October 2005, WilPharma succeeded in developing the vaccine, with stocks ready to be shipped to anywhere within the US. However, due to stern protest from the human rights organization TerraSave, the vaccine was not ready to be fully distributed in time before the Harvardville incidents. With their stocks falling, WilPharma desperately attempted to rekindle the public's faith in them. Senator Ron Davis even supported WilPharma, partly because of the fact that he himself was a primary stockholder of the company. Following the outbreak incidents in Harvardville, WilPharma entered into bankruptcy in November 2005, and was subsequently bought out by Tricell, another pharmaceutical company.
