| A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... Founded in 2010 by Phantom, Remains of the Republic has its roots in Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) for the PS2, becoming one of its most successful Europe-based clans. In 2015-2016, we were active on the new Star Wars Battlefront (2015) game. Though just a group of friends playing for fun occasionally, we still managed to win the EU Cup in a tournament. Every now and then we fire up our old PS2's to play SWBF2 again, all remaining players from the EU joining forces to play in friendly tournaments along with players from the United States, where there's a larger remaining user base. These days, RoR mainly functions as a homebase where old and new players meet up to stay in touch and play Battlefront as well as other games. |

Hey Guys! I'm just trying to cheer this forum a little bit up! What's the very first online moment you can actually remember? Mine was the first day. It was summer and a friend of mine managed to get my PS3 working online. I didn't really have PS3 games with an online feature. The only game that had an online feature was my old SWBF2 for the PS2. I went online just to test if it would work. (which it did) And I believe I joined Trinny's FRAG Server. It only had like 6 players in it. It was Death Star CTF. Assigned to CIS and I remember myself walking into the circle part of the map. (Where players commonly collide) And I got killed easily.. That's all I remember. I look forward to hear your story. |

Hm, what was my first moment.. First of all I have to say that I played some times before with a friend respectively by a friend online with the name shooter, he showed me some glitches and the basic stuff of how to paly this game. The time showed pretty fast that engi was my best and favorite unit - I realized that I have to buy this game too. Then I bought the game at created my new account, Tri!$t@n - I was totally motivated and joined a server called I dont know anymore, but the map was deathstar ctf. I was able to get the pistol award in the first game and I camped as a Rebell in the way of the corridor where the EMP spawns :$ the next step was that I got teamkilled by a sniper -which I teamkilled back then and I think I got kicked -_- -_-

I just remember using Grunt the first maps (played offline a lot, even LAN with Phoenix and Chiller) and Deathstar CTF. I never played CTF maps so I was kinda confused that they're so popular but what really surprised me was people shooting me with rockets, I was just like "wtf is wrong with you guys, do I look like a fucking tank?" xD |

Lmao at Phantom's story xDD I remember Adrian playing as Kurama xD ~Kurama or something like that Tristan I think that I played with you that day, we all were in cbox talking about that "random guy who has 74 in his clan that just got pistol award" and saying that you had to be Adrian or someone like him xDD Wow my first online memory... that's a long time ago, playing as normal trooper a lot, being owned... those are normal memories, I guess that my first exclusive memory is glitching online with Erikgijs and Delta 501 and others that I don't remember at all... being banned in 327's server because I was faking Jesus74 (it's my name too, problem nigga?! xDD)... comunicating with people by changing our name in gamespy, like, Kova and me in one server, I jumped at him and shooted to the ground like saying "stay here", getting out of the server, changing my name to "How are you?" and then he doing the same thing and a whole night doing that... that's pretty it xDD those are the first things that come up on my mind. |

For each tank built in the world... 131k of Teddy bears are made For each stock market that falls down... there are 10 versions of "What a wonderful world" For each corrupt person... there are 8k donating blood For each barrier that exists... there are 200k mats saying "Welcome" While one scientific is making a new weapon... there are 100 million of mums making a chocolate cake In the world, there's more monopoly money than dollards There are more funny videos in the internet than bad news all over the world LOVE has more results in google than FEAR For each person that says "Everything is wrong..." 100 couples are looking for children And for each weapon sold in the world... 20 million of people share a bottle of Coca-Cola There are still reasons to believe in a better world. | |

My first steps in the battlefield were on Dagobah in 2006. I couldn't play online because I had (still have) the fat PS2 so I needed an extern adapter in order to play online. I brought my game to a friend and give the MP a try, I don't know which server I joined, all I know is that I played as normal trooper, it was so chaotic.. lagging a lot (lag symbol) and it had jedi's as well. Nonetheless I got excited and ordered myself an adapter, things went fast after that. TBC, or not :P |

My innocent very first time was actually back in 2008 or something with a friend. He had the game before me and we occasionally played it together online. Somewhere around my birthday in 2010 I found another copy in my local gaming shop and bought it. Then in early 2011 I started to play it on my own online. My first battle was in Utapau with heavy lag. Nothing special but after figuring out how to play online on my own I was kind of flashed Edited by Stickman, Apr 10 2015, 04:45 PM.
