| A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... Founded in 2010 by Phantom, Remains of the Republic has its roots in Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) for the PS2, becoming one of its most successful Europe-based clans. In 2015-2016, we were active on the new Star Wars Battlefront (2015) game. Though just a group of friends playing for fun occasionally, we still managed to win the EU Cup in a tournament. Every now and then we fire up our old PS2's to play SWBF2 again, all remaining players from the EU joining forces to play in friendly tournaments along with players from the United States, where there's a larger remaining user base. These days, RoR mainly functions as a homebase where old and new players meet up to stay in touch and play Battlefront as well as other games. |

For those interested, Bobz Entertainment posts a current Gamespy Status Page for Star Wars Battlefront 2 (PS2) that lists all SWBFII PS2 games currently on-line (both dedicated and non-dedicated) and the number of players worldwide. The total number of games and players are shown at the bottom of the Star Wars Battlefront 2 (PS2) Gamespy Status Page. It's depressing, but lets you see how few players are on at any time. |

I didn't realise the American side was so quiet, though maybe that's just because it's too early for them at the moment. What would you say is the average amount of daily players in America?

Hard to say, I'm not tracking them constantly. My best guess would be an average of 10 players on line at any one time. The number of players peak on the weekends with one full CTF/CON server (24 players) for about an hour and the same for a full Jedi assault server (16 players) for about an hour. The Glitching server seems to be getting more traffic lately, we usually have between 2 to 5 players, but we did have some games over the holiday with 15 players. A lot of players got new games for Christmas (GTA5, etc...) and are playing them. Some of the die-hard SWBFII players are playing the PC version. We actually had one of the less popular PS2 US servers, (SWL) HELLFIRE, switch to PC and they are now doing well. |

I already saw this list of Bobz Entertainment, We only get 2 Europeans server : Retropia.org and UFEC, and sometimes or more often remains players going to retropia or your server Pyro, in Europe SWBF2 current situation is horrible, I can't host a paid server but we all should help guys who paid euro servers, like Koen and Phantom for trying to kept swbf2 ps2 alive. |
