A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Founded in 2010 by Phantom, Remains of the Republic has its roots in Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) for the PS2, becoming one of its most successful Europe-based clans.

In 2015-2016, we were active on the new Star Wars Battlefront (2015) game. Though just a group of friends playing for fun occasionally, we still managed to win the EU Cup in a tournament.

Every now and then we fire up our old PS2's to play SWBF2 again, all remaining players from the EU joining forces to play in friendly tournaments along with players from the United States, where there's a larger remaining user base.

These days, RoR mainly functions as a homebase where old and new players meet up to stay in touch and play Battlefront as well as other games.

Star Wars 7's release date has been announced: December 18th 2015. It's a shame because every other Star Wars film has been released in May. Any thoughts on whether it'll be good or not?

It could be good, as some of the old cast members may return, and JJ Abrams is also a good director. Moreover, Lawrence Kasdan, the co-writer of The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and Raiders of the Lost Ark is going to be writing the movie.

On the other hand, it's Disney.

It seems increasingly likely that SWBF3 will be released fairly close to Star Wars 7 like SWBF2 was with Revenge of the Sith.

xD yeah we'll just have to see if its good or not but then again some could like it and some not

I dont know anything about the actual movie yet but i dont think it will be too bad because that would make many people hate disney/whoever will make it

Disney will make sure the film is politically correct.

There are times you strive for greatness, to reach lofty goals and accomplish
noble deeds. Then there’s the rest of the times you just want to blow shit up.
