| A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... Founded in 2010 by Phantom, Remains of the Republic has its roots in Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) for the PS2, becoming one of its most successful Europe-based clans. In 2015-2016, we were active on the new Star Wars Battlefront (2015) game. Though just a group of friends playing for fun occasionally, we still managed to win the EU Cup in a tournament. Every now and then we fire up our old PS2's to play SWBF2 again, all remaining players from the EU joining forces to play in friendly tournaments along with players from the United States, where there's a larger remaining user base. These days, RoR mainly functions as a homebase where old and new players meet up to stay in touch and play Battlefront as well as other games. |

So last night I was playing with some friends and suddenly the internet went away for all of us AT THE SAME TIME, but like 30 min later it came back for them but not for me. I tried restarting the modem and shit but nothing works. I don't think some lightning struck some cables or something that made the modem break cause it's still working, I'm just not getting any connection. When I try to connect to psn it says its a DNS problem, dunno what that is. So could you guys give me any suggestions on what to do? I'd really appreciate that (I'm here through phone internet if you wonder blablabla) |

Yeah we had like 2 thunderstorms at my home yesterday, they were pretty huge and I heard that a house even burned like 15kms from us. We lost the power 2 times but we had never problem with the internet or something else, everything worked as normal. |

If your whole Internet is away (also at PC etc), there's no need to try to login with your PS2 :P I can imagine the thunderstorms destroyed some cables outside or something like a distributor. You could call your Internet Provider. |

No you aren't alone ![]() But that's not the point, I guess some cables of his provider are broken, nothing at his house. |

My dad called our internet provider, they said nothing was wrong with their cables but they "reset" our connection then it worked for like 20 min then it went away again. I guess it's our modem that broke cause of some electric pulse in the cables during the thunderstorm last night after all, though it's like 7 years old and cheap so I guess it was time for it to break
