A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Founded in 2010 by Phantom, Remains of the Republic has its roots in Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) for the PS2, becoming one of its most successful Europe-based clans.

In 2015-2016, we were active on the new Star Wars Battlefront (2015) game. Though just a group of friends playing for fun occasionally, we still managed to win the EU Cup in a tournament.

Every now and then we fire up our old PS2's to play SWBF2 again, all remaining players from the EU joining forces to play in friendly tournaments along with players from the United States, where there's a larger remaining user base.

These days, RoR mainly functions as a homebase where old and new players meet up to stay in touch and play Battlefront as well as other games.

Hey guys, I gotta say something that does not please me at all.. I slipped my ps3 when carrying it. It is obviously broken, the red light is flashing. My mw2 disc is in my ps3 and I can't get it out of the device..

As 60GB's are not being made anymore it means that I won't be able to play swbf2 again..

For me, it all ends today. :(

whoa whoa whoa
wait a sec. your red light is blinking? when u turn it on dos it stay greend for a sec, then turn yellow and then blink red? if yes then congratulations the same thing happened to me but i didnt drop my ps3. YELLOW LIGHT OF DEATH. try this to get your disc out: keep your finger at the button to get your disc out while you deactivate the electricity for this bitch. then plug the cable in while keeping your finger on it. it should then be loud as fuck for about 30 sec and give you your disc back
You can only be young once. But you can always be immature!

Had a similar issue with my old 60GB PS3 fat, except it was the blinking yellow light of death. Couldn't get another PS3 that would play PS2 games, so I bought 2 PS2's, a new one and a reconditioned one. One to play and one as a spare. Both were reasonably priced. There are so many good PS2 titles out there, including SWBF and SWBFII, that it was worth the investment.

Did not work, Sony created that method after a couple of YLoD's on 60GB's.. They included the method in all the versions AFTER 60GB.. In other words I will have to make it open with a screwdriver and take the disc out of the device..
