PS4 CPU: AMD Kaveri based cores. 4 cores @ 4 Ghz GPU: AMD 7970M based GPU @ 850 Mhz? = 2.176 Tflops + CPU Flops GPU: Fillrate - 27.2 GPixels GPU: Texture - 68 GT XB3: CPU: IBM Power7+ CPU. 8+ cores with numerous threads. @ 3.x Ghz GPU: Twin 7870M based GPUs @ 800 Mhz = 2.048 Tflops + CPU Flops GPU Fillrate - 25.6 if added together. GPU Texture - 64 if added together. There is potential for these numbers to be slightly higher, but vs. the TDP its most reasonable suspected versions I see. Only thing that might be different is if they went for mainstream versions. They would both hit above 2.5 Tflops if so. If they went for Mainstream cards I suspect PS4 would use AMD 7850 + the 1 Tflop Kaveri APU = about 2.768 Tflops While XB3 would utilize two AMD 6770s + Power7 CPU = 2.994 Tflops. Although in that setup the PS4 would have an advantage with Texture and Pixel fillrates. Even though XB3 would have little more Tflops in its possession. Sony could trump that with the 7950M + APU with 3.176 Tflops though. There are so many options for them to choose from these days. I am siding with the idea that PS4 edges out over XB3 with power as it was reported as rumor claiming so awhile ago. By comparing PS4/XB3 together like this it fits about every rumor that exists out there even the early ones of PS4 having a slight edge. Both of them I assume will be aiming for 2.5 TFlops. So there is potential for this to be true, but no official words yet. WiiU: CPU: IBM Power7 CPU. 3-4 cores with 12-16 threads. GPU: AMD 6950M based GPU @ 900 Mhz - 1.113 Tflops + CPU Flops GPU Fillrate - 22.8 GPU Texture - 40.4 I expect Nintendo to aim for 1 Tflop at most or just a little over it. This all fits my expectations. RAM: 2 GB for WiiU and 4+ GB for PS4/XB3. Its one potential limiting factor of WiiU I believe. HDD: Included in PS4/XB3, but not in WiiU. Sold on the side with USB support. I am thinking. Disc formats: 50 GB Blu-Ray for PS4 or Blu-Ray XL(100-130 GB). 25-50 GB Blu-Ray or equivalent competitor disc format for XB3. 25 GB Blue laser disc format from Nintendo for WiiU or possibly Blu-Ray support. They have created their own format every generation so far though why stop? If you get a real good look at this comparison on my thoughts on what could possibly be in next gen consoles its quite impressive setup for the WiiU even being on the bottom. There is no confirmation on any of this yet. Nintendo is waiting until September to reveal all of its details. Edited by DeadFire87, Jul 6 2012, 04:45 AM.
