[Drunken Master]
|
Vyseris, God of Vanity: The hermaphroditic “child-god” who was responsible for the creation of the Marquethe, Vyseris is a deity that emphasizes beauty and physical perfection in his worshipers. As he rules over an emotion and an idea, rather then a physical concrete object or force, he tends to be weaker then other Gods of the pantheon, which angers him greatly. He is, of course, vain and narcissistic and looks down upon those who are not physically perfect in his eyes (ie. everyone but himself and his created race). He appears as a beautiful, young, androgynous figure wrapped in long golden robe with long golden hair and bright green eyes. A pair of spotlessly white wings emerge from his shoulders, though he is never seen flying, and he is constantly carrying a golden, jewel-encrusted hand mirror into which he stares almost endlessly. Vyseris is most commonly refered to as “he”, despite the fact that he has no true gender. Lethyre, God of Winds: Appears as a tall, willowy male with long lavander hair garbed in a long flowing robe of light blue that is constantly moving as if caught in the wind. He has one cloudy blue eye and one black eye streaked through with yellow, though he only keeps one eye open at a time. He has two distinct personalities that correspond to whichever eye he has open at the time: if the blue eye is open, he is calm, wise, and generally good natured, creating gentle breezes and mild rainstorms. If the black eye is open he becomes volatile and flies into rages over nothing. While he is in this personality, he creates massive windstorms (hurricanes, tornadoes) and rainstorms (thunderstorms). Myshella, Goddess of Pestilence: A demi-god in the service of Lararith, she appears as a woman with pallid skin covered in oozing sores. Her hair is black and lack-luster, while her eyes are a grey, glazed over, and rimmed in red. She is deathly thin clothed in molding rags that barely cover her body. She rules over the domain of disease, poison, and (physical) corruption, and generally behaves as if she was mad. She delights in disease of every kind, and will often strike her most faithful worshipers with various “blessings” that turn into deadly plagues. Those who are “blessed” are unable to die of the disease, but suffer its consequences all the same, and are tasked with spreading the “blessing” to others. Braewynn, God of the Ocean" He also rules over superstition and mysticism, voyages, exploration, and philosophy. A wild, unpredictable deity, his emotions run deep and passionately; even when his exterior appearance seems calm and at peace, consistent unease, thought and meditation churns within his depths. He often appears in the mortal world as a giant, smoothly-faced, emotionless man with long flowing hair in shades of the ocean's many moods; from deep black-blue, to jade green, to frothy shades of white. His skin is like the mirrored surface of the oceans, reflecting the colours around him. His eyes are deepest navy and green, traces of endless whirlpools in its depths. His voice is deep and flowing, yet rising and falling in tone and strength in layers, like the waves crashing against the shore. He does not often appear far from the shore, although has been known to make appearances along the rivers and tributaries when visiting his minor colleagues that preside over those areas. He protects and guides his creations, the Kyrzik, an ocean-borne pirate-like species, in their conquests and explorations. They inherited their deity's unending desire and search for discovery and worldly knowledge. He is most oftentimes neutral, and just as inclined to give as to take away, just like his sister, Faerith, Goddess of Nature and Wilderness, although they often oppose each other greatly, the result of his anger being great tsunamis, hurricanes, and other water-bourne storms. Faerith, Goddess of Nature: She also rules over the wilderness, wildlife, the hunt, birth and natural medicine. She is a neutral-feeling god, possessing neither great bursts of anger, happiness, or any other emotion, for that matter. Stoic, consistent, and patient, she will as readily give as well as take away. Taciturn, thoughtful, and practical, if anything were to be considered her "passion" it would be balance. Balance in all things around her, as to her, things are intricately intertwined. She is not merciless however, and blessed the creatures which follow her with the means of success in their undertakings, whether it be the adaptability of a bear, to the antlers of a stag, to the medicines that can be extracted from her forests. It is often that her blessings are carefully hidden, and take great trials to obtain. Appearing as a brown-skinned woman, she is strong of limb and arm, with a steady stance, but tall and slim like a poplar tree. She moves gracefully, like the bending stalks of grass against the wind, with hair like vines and moss and she smells like mushrooms and ferns. Her eyes glisten like dew on the leaves; a glassy green with a sharp gaze of a hunter. Often she wears a robe the colours of the forest, trimmed with fur in many colours. Beneath, she wears a seemingly worn leather hunting outfit with bear-fur trimmings, and fur-lined boots. Within the woods she is impossible to track unless she wants to be seen. Dukas, God of Earth and Ore: He also presides over the mountains, volcanos, mining and earthly gems. He is gregarious, joyful, and often greedy. Usually slow to anger, when he does lose his temper it erupts with great force and can seemingly stop just as quickly. He tends to hoard his wealth in the depths of the earth, but is generous with those who follow and pray to him and with whom he gives the knowledge on mining his gems. He can sometimes seem narrow-minded and egotistical, and gives little heed to new schools of thought and is very stubborn. He appears as a mountain of a man, standing at an intimidating height and great girth. His skin is rough and callused, thin cracks as if his skin was made of stone. Grey-skinned, his chiseled features include coppery-coloured hair and facial hair. His eyes are bright and full of humour, glinting a deep red like rubies. He possesses a deep bass voice that rumbles like the aftershocks of an earthquake, often emitting a rumbling laugh. Often he is seen wearing a mighty suit of armour, bright jewels decorating its surface. |
