03-09-08 I'm very sorry for my lack of activity-- I haven't completely disappeared, and you guys know that since I do post sporadically. Hopefully, I haven't made anyone wait too long for my replies but I have been very busy. I should have more time in the future, however, since spring break begins in just one week. All of my college applications have been turned in, All-State and Regionals are over, I've quit my job at the Acupuncture healing center, and I'm doing decently in every course except for AP chem which is owning my butt. Anyway, enough about my life. Nix is leaving for a while so Iyatti is up for temporary adoption. Details can be found in the adoption board. I'll get everything updated during the next week or so, I promise. <3. Thanks for being patient.
01-13-08 Congrats to Trivia, who made our lovely banner and won the banner contest!

Happy New Year, everyone! There are a lot of things going on right now. Most obviously, there is a new skin, designed by Lycan. Kudos to her artistic skillz... if you haven't noticed already, Solumina is down at the footer. She's looking lovely, don't you think?
The Cernunian Islands-- Talkunas Islands-- have been completed. There is a territory for each race of Cernunian... feel free to RP there, though there will be missions and pre-made threads by the staff members who wish to kinda plot stuff along. Be on a look out for missions.
The newsletter should be coming out later today, whenever Ari gets off her lazy butt to do something. XD ...she's doing a lot of stuff right now, by the way.
The A New Leader Contest Results have been announced! Check it out! Congrats to the winner!
Also, there is a banner contest for those who are feeling like making graphics. It's right here.
Thanks to all who have been patient with Ari, 'cause she's so busy. x.x The other staff members too... we're now working our butts off for Jaharaah so stay tuned!

The Drazil classes have been updated! Also, Elves and Magic has been created and can be found inside the encyclopedia. Enjoy!

Volume three of the Jaharaah News was sent out a while ago... I just forgot to add it in. XD Since activity is so slow, the three-thread rule has been temporarily banned. Post in however many threads you'd like. :3

Another contest has been added, hosted by Nixas! I hope that all of you will consider it. ^-^ Click.

Yay, the descriptions of the Cernunians have been finished. :3 They're up for you guys to read. Also, the beginnings of the Jaharaan Encyclopedia have been added. So far, there are two entires.
Legend has it that there was once weapon so terrible that it even struck fear in the hearts of the Gods. Its name was Ahnakatti, which in the ancient language translates roughly as "Deity's bane." The immortals sealed it away in the heart of Jaharaah, hoping that its vengeful wrath may never find another being. For ages, all went well. Ahnakatti was never discovered during those years... but little did the Gods know that it was simply biding its time.
Centuries later, it called out to a human-- a human who wanted nothing more than to save his homeland from bloodthirsty demons. With the help of the powerful Ahnakatti, he succeeded in driving them away. However, he befell a horrid fate; the human who sought peace among his people became a slave to the very weapon which banished his enemies.
The Gods could not allow this. The hero had saved Jaharaah-- he should not have had to suffer such a gruesome destiny. They summoned the mighty dragons, who fought a devastating battle against the human. In the end, the beasts won, although the human's life was lost. Drowned in despair, all races-- human, elf, dwarf, dragon and God alike-- prepared a kingly burial for the hero. In the midst of their grief, they failed to notice that Ahnakatti was missing.
And to this very day, Deity's bane is still lost. But many have claimed to hear its voice... a call that is both tempting and fatal.
Imber has discovered the Talkunas islands... he will try to bring warriors to this new place in an effort to gain allies. Naturally, the attack on the Queen doesn't allow humans to look very highly at the Cernunians. These racial differences and long-wrong hatreds will continue to cause conflict. Just what will your character respond to such difficulties?
Enlighten Yourselves... Any information you will need as a member of Jaharaah will be located in this board. All of the rules, the basic plotline and information involving gameplay will be listed. It is suggested that you read everything in there before creating an account to make sure that you like what Jaharaah can offer you. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
The Jaharaan Encyclopedia (4 sub-boards) Here is all the information you will need, both for reference and roleplaying. Culture, religion, gods, maps-- everything will eventually be added. This encyclopedia is still under construction but you are most certainly free to browse through the sections which have been completed. Naturally, these entries are subject to modification. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Gameplay Discussion (8 sub-boards) Should you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you will find sub-boards here where you can post them. Also, this is where you should post if you want to request threads or talk about plot development with any of the members. Any involvement in any major plot events will also be posted by staff members. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Your Character (3 sub-boards) This is where you will audit for a character. There are certain pre-made roles that may be filled, but it will be a first come, first serve process. Inside this board, you will find sub-boards, which will help you pick a character you want to roleplay. Please read all notices before posting. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
The Cast This is where you should post your characters' profiles once they have been accepted. There is also a thread in there which lists the characters and what races, social classes and fighting classes they pertain to. You may use this thread for references when choosing a new character to play-- it is useful because there are limits to how many characters of each class and race we accept. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Staff Lounge (2 sub-boards) Yes, this is where the staff will get together and decide who to pick on next with the NPC account. *rubs hands together evilly* No, not really. We just plan the random events, contest and plots for your entertainment. Moderators: Imber Reganaus, Shiori Ailill

Out of Character - Fun and Fancy-free
General Discussion (2 sub-boards) This board is for talking about whatever you like. You can post up a funny moment you had at school, or ask other members about themselves. Play games or post surveys. Introduce yourself if you're new. It doesn't matter. Go crazy. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Sate your Art-fancy (2 sub-boards) This is the graphics forum for Jaharaah. Here, you can find members who are, perhaps, more artistic that you are and are willing to make you a set. Should you desire to open up your own graphics studio, simply put up a thread and a staff member will sticky it. You can also show off any drawings or art you make yourself. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Other Roleplays Ever get tired of the two paragraph minimum and using the same character? Go ahead and roleplay here. Anyone is allowed to create a roleplay of any genre and host it by their own rules. Naturally, these regulations should be fair but if we have any issues with that, the staff will take care of it. No need to RP your accepted character(s), nor to keep up with a post minimum, nor abide by the thread-limit. The post count is turned off in this board, by the way. Choose whatever styles of RPing you wish-- even post one liners for all I care. Just have fun! Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Affiliation The forum is guest-friendly! Feel free to post up your site as an advertisement. Jaharaah only requests that if you wish to affiliate, you will put Jaharaah's banner up in exchange for yours being posted in our affiliation table. Please read the rules before posting. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Castle Nagasko In the heart of Nagasko, the empirial city, is Queen Iyatti's home. It is a large fortress, built nobly of stone walls, rumored able to withstand any attack. It has been four centuries since Ahnakatti was lost, and there has been peace in the realm of man ever since. Nagasko has stood strong in the face of war, and remains a flourishing city even now. Within the walls, there are many places to explore; the castle, churches, inns, taverns, labratories and many rooms yet to be discovered. Thousands of citizens occupy the city, going about their everyday business. Most of the people living here are unaware of what goes on in the vast lands of Jaharaah, instead relying on gossip for their news reports. However, there is usually some truth in what they have to say... Many travelers and mercenaries pass through Nagasko for various purposes, whether it be for lodging, sightseeing or seeking information. The Queen is usually happy to see anyone. Pay her a visit if you will. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Keiwiek A seaport off of the coast of Jaharaah, Keiwiek harbors many boats and sailors. It lies at the edge of Senribi Sea, and is the perfect place to seek if a traveler wishes to get quickly from one end of the continent to the other. Keiwiek is also an important source of economic income for the humans of Jaharaah-- many fishermen tend to their tasks here, able to find plentiful sources of Jaharaah's favorite delicacies, including various fish, lobsters, shrimp and octopus. If not too busy, the sailors here are more than willing to tell a passerby old stories of the sea. Charting a boat can be expensive depending on who is the manager, but it is worth it in tight situations. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Sayeto A small town with few citizens, Sayeto usually remains quiet during the day and at night. This is because Sayeto is something like a Merchant's guild. The inhabitants remain neutral in any disputes which do not directly affect them... despite this, they are extremely sly and greedy for material possessions. They may offer help if you play your cards correctly. The Merchant's guild has a strong army at its command to guard its treasures and gold, which is why it could easily turn the tide in a battle. As cold as the members of this guild might sound, they are actually quite generous in some aspects. They have promised a fraction of their profits to Queen Iyatti, but only because she offered them free trade within her lands. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Darak This is a town near the banks of Gysa River. The folks here are farmers and make a living off of growing crops and raising livestock. Although the town itself is small compared to Nagasko, the fields and farmland stretch out for acres. The denizens here are rather kind-- they have never refused refuge to a traveling merchant or wandering pilgrim. They have little but they also know how to share what small profits they make with others. Darak is also known for raising young horses, both for warriors and journeymen. Their steeds have always served their masters well with brave hearts and a strong will to endure all burdens. The cost of these horses is pricey but well worth the money. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Cain Village A town on Halkan Shoreline, Cain Village is home to a small group of residents. These people make a living by collecting items from the sea-- they fish and hunt for clams. Also, they make jewelery out of seashells and pearls. For such a small village, the citizens here are rather wealthy. Yet, they are also very in tune to the natural world. Since they live a good distance away from the imperial city, they know little of the technological advances that other humans have made. Instead, they rely on their strong sense of culture and beliefs to live by. Cain Village is a decent place to explore, because of its curious lifestyle and welcoming people. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Rilyus Forest Lord Larkah watches over his forest with the eyes of a hawk. The forest itself grows upon a slope, which slants deep into the center of a circle. Trees and various plants grow along the circumference of this circle and gather further inside, even upon the slope. The grand Elven city lies at the very center. The path is hard and dangerous, but if you succeed in finding the Elf-lord's home, you won't be disappointed. Different animals of all sorts dwell in the forests, foraging and living on their own. They feel safe here, because the elfs' magic defends them from any human hunters. The elves are exceedingly protective of these animals, for they feel that all of Jaharaah's creatures should live as one. Should you try to harm any of nature's creatures in Rilyus Forest, there is no doubt that you will find yourself at the mercy of the Elves. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Tyrä Lake Tyrä Lake serves as a steady water source for the inhabitants of Rilyus, whether they be animal or Elven. It is said that the water from the lake has magical properties and will heal nearly any ailment or wound. Perhaps that is why the Elves have been around for so long. Next to the lake is a sea of grass, where the Elven horses roam free, only returning to their riders' call. The Elves enjoy the lake because of its clear water and the beautiful waterfall which cascades from atop the mountains. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Rilyus City In the center of Rilyus Forest, you can find the great Elven city. Thousands of Elves are gathered here, doing things that they love best... training the Elven stallions, forging the strongest blades, speaking with the trees... it is all a part of their daily activities. Each and every Elf does something with their lives, learning and passing their knowledge onto others. The city itself is older than any other made creation on Jaharaah. Its white and gold temples are still intact and the grand halls of past Elven lords have not come to ruin. Many homes are built into the trees and among the beautiful waterfalls. Since the city is in the middle of the forest at the lowest point upon the slope, it is is easy to find but difficult to reach, as there are many obstacles in one's path. The Elves have taken care to conceal their precious home from unwanted eyes. Lord Larkah guards his kingdom with pride, and although he doesn't welcome outsiders, he won't chase them away without a reason. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Caprisa Mines To the North of Jaharaah lies the Caprisa Mines. The entrance is not difficult to find, although there will be Dwarves standing guard outside. They will ask what business you may have in the Mines-- the Dwarves welcome travelers and visitors occasionally. Although King Trauss is young, he has guarded his Mines well, and no one has dared invade Caprisa as of yet. Once through the entrance, you will find that the mines themselves are difficult to navigate. For one, there is little light to see the path in front of you. There will be torches along the dimly lit walls, but even then, it's difficult to see. The paths are also challenging to climb, since there are many twists, turns and slopes within the mines. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Caprisa Grand Hall Should you make it safely though the mines, you will discover the Grand Hall of Trauss and his fellow citizens. It takes about two days to reach, and that is assuming that there are no difficulties along the journey. King Trauss is a generous Dwarf, always practicing his knowledge of hospitality as is custom for the Dwarven Kings. The Grand Hall is enormous and filled with various Dwarves; there are saloons, inns and other places of interest. These beings are known for their forging of axes... if you can find your way to the blacksmith's you'll surely learn something new. Take your time and explore-- speak with the Dwarves here. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Prikah Lake A small lake can be found outside of Caprisa Mines. The Dwarves mainly use it as a water source and a place to go fishing... all sorts of tasty fish can be found in this lake, not found anywhere else. The water is a comfortable place to bathe, as it is both clean and cool. They say that it is a beautiful place where the sunsets are particularly fascinating. Come here if you feel the need to relax. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Delvor Summit At the base of Mt. Delvor is the beginning for anyone who wishes to make it to the top by foot. The ground is rough and pebbly, but that will not be the greatest challenge. As one makes his way up toward the peak, he will realize that the trail becomes much more difficult. The path grows narrow, and the ground becomes rockier. The winds are more violent towards the top, so be careful not to lose footing. It is impossible to bring a steed up Mr. Delvor, so one must use his own physical strengths to reach Delvor Peak. The challenge is a great one, though worth the results, if you wish to meet the dragons. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Delvor Peak Before humans or Elves created their homes in Jaharaah, the dragons wisely chose their nests atop Delvor Mountain. Delvor Peak is dangerous to reach unless one knows how to scale the mountain or navigate the ferocious winds. Even pegasi and wyverns have trouble escaping the strong currents up here... only the dragons can soar to and fro with relative ease. The mountain path itself is exceedlingly dangerous, filled with tumbling rocks and steep slopes. There are certain points along the trail where feet cannot be used, and the majority of the climbing must be relied on hands. The dragons aren't used to visitors, but are normally patient with any people who have made their way up to Delvor Peak. However, if it's the dragons you would like to speak with, you may have better luck trying to flag one down as opposed to climbing Mt. Delvor. Should your purpose be urgent enough, one of them may be generous and take you there himself. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Halkan Shoreline To the South-east of Jaharaah is the Halkan Shoreline. It is simply a strip of land that touches the ocean... miles and miles of sand stretch scattered along the break of the water. The air smells strong of salt, while the beach is littered with various seashells and seaweed. Sometimes villagers come here with fishing rods, wade into the deep water and try theire luck with catching delicious meals. Others simply come here to watch the sunset and be with their loved ones. There are always interesting activities-- swimming, building sandcastles, collecting seashells, getting a tan, etc... If you're looking for a place to relax for a day, this is the place to visit. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Gysa River To the North and the South of Jaharaah runs Gysa River. It is the source of life for humans, particularly since they live so close to it. The water is clear and provides irrigation for crops and drink for both human and animal. Many towns folk take a trip to the river in order to bathe or to wash their clothes. Because Gysa River is nearby, it also provides a chance for the people to build wells, where fresher water can be found at a closer range. It is easy to travel South on the stream, since that is where the current runs; however, traveling North is more difficult. Gysa Bridge is the only way to cross the water on foot, so it's not uncommon to see others traveling there as well. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Alliyus Plains It is rumored that half-elves have made a home up here, although no one is certain if it is true or false. The plains is a flat stretch of land, which travelers can see for miles and miles around. How half-elves manage to hide themselves (if they actually do) from wandering eyes on such a grassland is unknown. Of course, the plains is also inhabited by other beings, particularly horsement who wander Jaharaah in hopes of honing their skills to perfection. There are many campgrounds on Alliyus Plains, so searching for solitude on the plains is not a wise choice. You are sure to find veteran warriors out here, however. Various animals also explore the plains, including wild horses, buffalo and an assortment of birds and rodents. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Marwi River This body of water splits into two smaller rivers as it travels South-- the West Marwi River and East Marwi River. Aquarian mammals such as beavers and otters have been known to live in these waters, since there are few civilizations nearby to chase them away. Those who train on Alliyus Plains do use the river as a sourse of nourishment, but do not bother the animals. Many species of trout and crayfish also inhabit the waters and serve as food for both animals and beings. It is not uncommon for rafts to be built along the river as transportation, since it is easy to sail. The only way to get across the East Marwi River to Alliyus Plains is to either build a raft or use the bridge. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Frusiah Meadow The meadow is a lovely place to explore... animals of all sorts venture here. Since the field is right next to Gysa river, it is well-watered and sprouts all sorts of flowers and vegetation. During the day, song birds, deer, rabbits and other species come out from their homes to feast upon the grass and insects. By night, owls and other nocturnal animals take advantage of Frusiah meadow. Humans of Jaharaah often come here to hold archery tournaments or form hunting parties. Children will come to play games or simply relax. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Baru Wood These woods are rather close to the rest of the human settlements and supplies a good portion of what they use as lumber and food. Doctors and healers usually travel deep within the woods for herbs and mushrooms, which may help them cure ill patients. Hunters search for prey such as deer or moose, while gathers may find many fruits and wild vegetables within the forest. For the most part, Baru Wood is a well-lit forest which is used by many beings and creatures for both nutrients and shelter. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Shiré Mountain Shiré Mountain lies to the West of Jaharaah, and dips into Rilyus Forest. The Elves don't bother scaling the mountain, simply because there's nothing of importance upon it. It is mostly a rocky slope which few animals and plants dwell, although a large waterfall does pour from it and into Tyrä Lake. Shiré Mountain is difficult to climb as well, for one fall could mean death because of the jagged rocks. Should you desire to scale Shiré, take extreme caution. Moderator: Imber Reganaus
Itzala Itzala... this place is only limited to those who are not technically within the world itself. It is a land of shadow, not necessarily made of physical elements. Only staff members are allowed to create threads here but members are free to post if they are invited to a particular thread. Thread requests can also be made by contacting a staff members to discuss plot ideas. Moderators: Imber Reganaus, Raifale Fierer, Shiori Ailill

In Character - Cernunian-dominated Areas
Talkunas Islands (13 sub-boards) The Talkunas Islands can be found far to the West of the Jaharaan continent. They are perhaps the most diverse set of islands ever to be discovered. In fact, the climate and areas are quite different from island to island, and even on the larger islands, various landforms can be found. Here, the Cernunians flourish, long driven from the mainland. For the most part, they have found a home here and a happy one at that. The resources here are plenty and there is trade between the varying tribes, groups and clans.
