First character: Al'An Ol'Tai. Full name: Al'An Ol'Tai Current Occupation: Wennesh soldier, captain of the Omega Squadron of the Federation. Species: Wen Sex: Male Age: Unable to determine from physical appearance, but mental age has been determined at 95 earth years. Height: 8"5 Weight (unarmored): 374 lbs Weight (armored): 418 lbs Skin color: pale gold. Eye Color: His eyes are speculated to be grey, though he has not once removed the disk covering his face. Hair color (if applicable): Translucent silver shoulder length spines. Weapons used: One full length Meteor Hammer with holographic cable, Wennesh Beam Rifle, holographic arm-mounted weaponry of Al'An's own design. Skills: Telekinetic flight (although it is rarely used and he relies more on a jump-pack), extensive mechanical repair, inventing advanced pieces of machinery. Were his ship to be heavily damaged, he could repair it. Or at least get it spaceworthy again, even if it was still too weak for combat. Personality: Usually calm, shows faint traces of emotions. Even when angered remains somewhat calm. Rarely (if ever) panics. Over-critical. Accessories (Extra Hardware and Gadgetry): Semi-holographic Wennesh battle armor, disklike "mask" covering the front part of his helmet which allows him to see in many spectrums, and a cape that seems to respond to electric currents much like muscles do. Active-camo system. Rarely used. Jump-pack. Propels Al'An quite quickly. Used more often than telekinesis. Character history: After succeeding in school, Al'An chose to join the military. Well actually it wasn't that much of a choice. He got drafted due to what was perceived as an imminent threat at the time. And it was a threat. At the time, Al'An was only 32, still fairly young for a Wen. What exactly was causing this mass drafting of every able-bodied and combat-ready male and female was unknown for about 10 years. Most of Al'An's time in the military was actually spent idling, waiting for the threat to appear so they could stop it. Without warning the ship attacked Xakal, and the city of Kabal'Tar was struck with a large pillar. Out of this pillar swarmed thousands of creatures different from any the Wen had ever seen. Another thing that set them apart was their slight aversion to bright light. Al'An was present at the battle of Kabal'Tar, and was part of the unlucky group created to storm the pillar. Even though the group was at least 100 soldiers strong, there was a feeling of dread hanging amongst nearly all of them, save for Al'An. Al'An had a feeling they could pull off this attack and possibly destroy the pillar. When the order was given, the raid force was sent into the tower. Nothing could've gone smoother. The force stormed the Pillar, and eventually reached the target destination. It turns out they were carrying a bomb that would stop the brainwaves of any and all lifeforms in a set radius, sentient or otherwise. However, shortly after the bomb was planted, things started to go wrong. A large force of the shadowy creatures was dispatched to destroy the raiding Wen. Al'An then saw their enemy up close. They were streamlined in appearance, with pitted purple-black skin. They had but a single yellow eye on a head that blended into the neck perfectly. They had two sets of pincers and a thumb on each hand, and their legs simply tapered to points. One of the more vicious looking critters then proceeded to kill the commander. In fact, at least half the force was slain. Panic rose among the raiders, and Al'An decided to take this chance to act. They made it out and escaped from Kabal'Tar. After exiting the bomb's radius, it was detonated. Everything still within Kabal'Tar died without so much a scream. Their brains just simply shut down. However, the pillar still stood in the center of Kabal'Tar. The city was abandoned. Al'An was 45 at the time of this attack. After 20 more years of fighting these shadowy creatures, and 7 years of travel, Al'An arrived in Federation space with others seeking safety away from Xakal. After learning of Al'An's brave actions, he was appointed the leader of the newly created Omega Squadron. He's been repaired significantly. Edited by Qualanx, Apr 17 2008, 07:19 PM.

Scale back the history, and maybe even edit the bits with the Chozo (especially since it doesn't make sense for the Galactic Federation to be immense distances away if Elysia, which is in the core of the Galactic Federation, was able to heavily supply an assault on Xakal, and since Elysia has been uninhabited by sentient life for at least a hundred years by the time of Corruption) to comply with canon better (we kind of have it set up so that the Chozo are really chill and just kinda sit around listening to old Bob Marley records and occasionally supplying god-weapons to bounty hunters). A lot of the auxiliary details are cool, but don't really matter. Hell, why is everyone so eager to invade Xakal, anyway?

"Existence is random. Has no pattern save what we imagine after staring at it for too long. No meaning save what we choose to impose. This rudderless world is not shaped by vague metaphysical forces. It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It's us. Only us." -Walter Kovacs | |

Why does everyone attack Xakal? There's something at it's core. Something of immense power, that was not placed there by the Wen. And people know it's there. And they want it. I might make an RP out of that somehow... Aaaaand... um... What if... Elysians existed on other planets too with the Chozo? I'll fix eventually. Coming soon: O'Zhord "Djehuti" Z'Volmonteg. A nanomechanical entity with a trippy name. Edited by Qualanx, Mar 1 2008, 02:21 PM.

Full name: O'Zhord "Djehuti" Z'volmonteg Occupation: He is many things. A newbie bounty hunter. A gambler. A thief. A mercenary. A transporter. He'll take nearly any job that you can name, and he's often more than one at once. Also writes revolutionary works in his spare time, if anyone needs it. Species: Shovan'O Age: 28 Height: 9'7" Weight: 372 lbs. Skin color: Silver, with black details (such as rings) Eye Color: Golden yellow. Hair color (if applicable): N/A Weapons used: He is a nanomachine. He can transform his limbs into melee weapons. He also carries a (stolen and heavily modified) Galactic Federation rifle (like the ones you see the troopers use in MP2 and MP3). No longer uses ammunition. Skills: O'Zhord, being a nanomechanical entity, can shapeshift. He has difficulty becoming small things, because they end up being very dense. He cannot become big things, because he does not have enough nanoparticals to do so. Currently he can only transform into things from 5-10' tall. Even then that is more than enough choice as almost every sentient species he's seen (save some members of his own species exceeding 10' in height) fit into this range. There are obvious giveaways if you're looking for him and you know how to find him. The skin of the target is slightly off, usually with a silvery tone to it or a strange shine. Eyes are usually red, silver, gold, or even pure white, which is an obvious anomaly. Personality hardly changes. Better at becoming individuals that do not actually exist. If need be, Djehuti can melt into a puddle like the Ing can, only the Djehuti-puddle is slivery, easily seen and can take off into the air to become a swarm of foglets, like some of his other gadgets. Rarely goes into foglet-cloud form unless something has gone horribly wrong and he absolutely must escape. Personality: Attempts to be badass. Usually works. However many people take "badass" and accurately interpret it as "Asshole". Accessories (Extra Hardware and Gadgetry): Has alot of stolen technology. Apparently has a cape/scarf that reacts to the wearer's brainwaves and acts like a muscle. This scarf/cape is thusly prehensile, and can be used to grab things such as people, handholds, and poles, in case something happens and there is a force attempting to pull Djehuti somewhere. Luminoth weaponry present. Chozo Plasma Beam present. Modifications allow plasma to be formed into an orb in one of his five hands. Orb of plasma can then fire out a hail of plasmabolts, or it can be thrown, creating a slight explosion. Orb of plasma can also loose a focused beam of plasma.Other technology present in his weapons/defence systems are as follows: -Several nigh-indestructable Foglets (tiny nanomachines that can act as cameras for Djehuti, but do not actually posess any weaponry due to their immensely small size) -A container of Puddlets (Foglets that work together to create a liquid mass that can scout through places if a visible scouter is needed, such as in the case he is helping someone find their way out of something, and posess the ability to shoot electricity at things. Can form themselves into a small gelatinous biped the size of a small action figure if need be. Can't be frozen because it is not made of water.) -Stolen and adapted "Scan Visor" technology, built in to his ocular nanomachines. Character history: Djehuti was always trying to be tougher than everyone else as a child. It usually worked. He wasn't really that much of a bully unless the creep was really asking for it, and usually in that case they had to regenerate a limb or two. He wasn't necesarily violent, but he seemed to have a good idea at where weakpoints were. He found ways for smaller attacks to have bigger effects. And all while trying to figure out something akin to a polynomial. When he was 17 he got into a scrap with some other students because he had taken the side of the communist group, like his mother, father and sister did. The war raged not only on the battlefield, but in the classroom. Djehuti found a slain soldier in the streets one day, and took his gun just in case something bad were to happen to him. He happened to bring it to his school one day, and then got into a brawl with several democratic-hopeful students. With Djehuti's knowledge of weakpoints, they died in a matter of seconds. Djehuti then attached their corpses to a banner and hung it in one of the hallways in the school, and wrote "This is what democracy gets you" using their own internal fluids. His education had finished long before, and he was simply reviewing in case he chose to be a scholar. But he was still expelled. He was nearly jailed, but the communists he supported bailed him out. Shortly thereafter, when he was 20, an unstable democracy took hold. The communist party arranged a distraction, and an assassination, with Djehuti being the one who would kill the president and give the speech. A massive uprising began outside the government building, and most of the security force was sent out to quell it. The few who were left were the best of the best, but that didn't stop Dejhuti and his best friend from entering the building, killing the guards, half the crowd, and then the president himself. Djehuti stepped up onto the pedestal and began the speech, but an anarchist arrived. Anarchists were in favor of using absolutely horrid weaponry in order to remove any and all power. Djehuti, attempting to bring in a new power, was fired upon. However his friend gave his life to protect Djehuti and hopefully get the war to stop. It was a worthless sacrifice, as the Anarchist was then beat to death by Djehuti, who was then stunned with a weak EMP and taken to the Exile ports. He was to be exiled to the Orion arm of the milky way. The pod would only open after a significant impact. Not even a capital ship opening fire on it and using all weapons would destroy the pod. Only immense kinetic forces could, and even then, impacting a planet would only destroy the locks keeping the door shut. Djehuti's exile pod was loaded and fired, and after years of flying blindingly fast through space, he impacted a planet. A federation planet. Half the continent was destroyed by the impact due to the pod's velocity. The lock opened and Djehuti stepped out, nearly unphased. Not knowing where he was or what he was doing, he wandered. He wandered until he eventually found an old-fashioned sea-ship. He boarded it, and was given nary a glance, even though he was huge and had five arms. Eventually he left the planet in favor of going other places. Back on Shovah Prime, his friend's sacrifice was in vain. Fighting continued, without Djehuti's knowledge. AAaaaaand here's what he looks like. Edited by Qualanx, Mar 2 2008, 02:19 PM.
