The deep rumble of thunder frightened her a bit; or had it been that 'growling' inside of her head. Either way, the weather wasn't looking pretty. Even though it was early in the morning, Trassurz's night time wasn't as long as Earth, so there should have been light. However, it was a lot darker than Emila Teckanti would have liked it, way too dark, in fact. She felt the heavy, chilly air across as her face as she ran, and she cursed herself for not refueling her car.

She also cursed herself for not trying to exercise more. She was no marathon runner, and was certainly not cut for this kind of running distant. Granted, she could have jogged, but with the urgency of the situation, she'd rather be dead tired than be too late. And then there was more was more thunder that reminded her all to much of his growling.

All of this combined into the dreadful motivation that pushed her legs to a point where they were feeling like lead; yet even lead could move give certain 'circumstances,' and she was still moving at her top speed. At least for a little while longer she would. Emila had not truly felt this much panic since the time she had not heard about what happened to the place her fiancé worked at. And when she tried to contact her ‘new’ fiancé through his home phone and cellular number, she had gotten no response at all; neither through any of his relatives and friends. Worse, when she to a look at a kind of tracking device she had built, the little red dot was going somewhere into the city; while she could still feel that bestial growling inside of her head.

Her legs finally gave way, and fell over in the alleyway as she tried to take the next. She ended up getting herself bruised and scrapped; yet as she struggled to sit up, she felt it had been worth the pain, for she was close enough to communicate with him. She caressed the back of her head, knowing that was where the old, therapeutic cerebral implant was. She was, ironically, thankful that it could not be removed, even though in the past, she hadn't liked it at all.

As she sat there, though, trying to form a link, she was unaware she was being watched by someone that would appear to be...non-existent.

Bel made a low growl of contempt as Kat explained the situation. Inwardly, he felt infuriated with the Feds being on him for nothing that he had really done. However, he also did not trust them very much either, afraid of what they might do with him. he snarled a bit when he heard the voice telling them about being separated; and as a result, his shoulders seems to morph a hard looking carapace.

Belugugan wanted to say something back at them terribly, but Reg managed to get a good hold of him. The parasite reluctantly took the backseat as Reg took command.

And with that, who ever was looking at Reg could definitely see the attitude change from defensive to a more calm person without the hint of those animal instincts dwelling within him. "Please," he asked politely, "I know i can be...dangerous at times, but we did have a good routine going back. I know I can live a normal life without causing anyone harm. I can tell you have questions, and whatever they are, I want to do my best to get this over with."

As he chatted, he placed his arm over Kat's shoulders, his hand on the back of the neck. It looked very much a brother-sister comfort act, but there was more to it. Out of the palm of his hand, out of sight from any cameras, a tentacle slipped safely into Kat's spinal column.

Kat, Belugugan, I...I can...hear my Lightning Bug talking to me, I can hear her, and she can hear me back. She's here, near the station; and she's thinking of getting involved. I...I don't want her to. Inside Kat's head, she could feel genuine, deep worry like no other, an emotion Belugugan hadn't quite gotten used to.

Adler yelped and was flat on the ground as quickly as he could. The scientist was obviously scared out of his wits, and he didn't attempt to resist the cuffing.

Yet as he just got in the car, the one driving towards Adler's house had seen what had happened, and both agents could hear the telltale sign of a motor picking up speed and the tires screeching against the asphalt. They looked to see the speeding car coming towards them on a road that had a very low speed limit.

"Please, I know i can be...dangerous at times, but we did have a good routine going back. I know I can live a normal life without causing anyone harm. I can tell you have questions, and whatever they are, I want to do my best to get this over with."

No response from the speaker.

After about a minute of silence, the heavy door of the quarantine block opened, and in came an older gentleman dressed in black, walking with slow, deliberate steps towards the cell door.

"Get this over with..." the man said, repeating Reg's words. His voice was the same as that which had come over the speaker just moments ago. "That's good, that's very good. Cooperation always makes things much easier."

He eyed the brother and sister for a moment, watching them with a barely concealed curiosity. "You can call me Mr. Blue, by the way," he said. "we are in a police station after all. I am, however, not with the police. I represent Section 6.

"As for the two of you..." he continued, "I think you're taking this way too hard. It's not about whether or not you think can live a 'normal life.'" Mr. Blue used air quotes to illustrate his point. "It's about urgency. You're unique, Reg. Certainly you must have realized that it was only a matter of time before somebody came after you. If we didn't, then somebody else would. As a matter of fact, the two of you should be on your knees thanking God, Jesus, and the Virgin Mary that you're here with your own people and not locked away in some Space Pirate lab somewhere."

............................

The Agents unceremoniously shoved Adler into the backseat of their car, hastily reading him his rights. Before they could climb in though, they heard the unmistakable sound of squealing tires. They looked up to see a car speeding towards them with no apparent intention of slowing down.

Monahan and Nguyen didn't hesitate to act. They raised their weapons and fired several White Lightning rounds at the vehicle.

............................

Captain Mason was in the lobby when Spurious had her outburst. He drew his sidearm and trained it on the girl, as did all the other officers and troopers in the room.

"Now listen here, young lady," the Englishman said, slowly taking a few steps towards her, not wanting to provoke her into doing something drastic. "There's no need for this... nobody wants to hurt you..." He looked at the glowing thing in her hand. Something very odd was going on here, and he was starting to get a very uneasy feeling that none of this was a coincidence.

Weapons were trained on Twilight as well, even though he had made no aggressive moves. They all knew that he had come with Squirt, and until there was some indication otherwise, it had to be assumed that he was on her side in this tense showdown.

"Now please," he continued, "drop... whatever it is you've got there in your hands. It's gonna be okay...."

"Even if they are going at least eight-hundred feet per second, you really think those little pint-sized pieces of lead can hurt me?"

Squirt sneered at the men pointing guns at her as she dropped the soulspark. It simply fell through the floor like an object in a badly programmed game.

"Oh I'm sure you don't want to hurt me. It's simple human psychology. What you do like to do, however, is figure things out. Humans have an insatiable curiosity, one which often overrides a sense of morality. You don't want to hurt me, but you will. You also lie," despite not having any saliva, Squirt still spat her words harshly. "It's not going to be okay, it never has been okay and it never will."

The GI strode around like a restless feline, "I know what you're all up to. This whole thing was just an elaborate ruse to capture me," she cocked her head, "I have just accessed every jail within the nearest three cities on this little planet. One wrong move and I set them all free, next the security system of every business will go down, then the majority of the power grids. Funny how you've always been physical beings, yet rely on your precious electricity and technology so badly to stay civilized. Now, let me go free, delete all records of everyone on the Grace, never breathe of a word of them again, and I might just let everyone here live."

In truth, Squirt was unable to access the virtual world, and all it contained, while she was in her physical form. Though she couldn't explain exactly why electricity tended to go awry when she was emotional, as it was doing now. People never quite knew what GIs were capable of, and tended to err on the side of caution though. They would give her what she wanted, she was sure of it.

Squirt's paranoia had gotten the best of her. Not only did she think the Federation was after her, but also that all the people in the room knew exactly what she was. The GI was nervous, angry, barely sealed wounds of bad memories had been freshly ripped open again, and she found they had festered in that time.

Three more lights overloaded and popped.

Despite how Reg's skin on his face and shoulders had changed, it was all too apparent he held genuine, human nervousness. He really didn't like being here in this station, especially in this kind of prison, as if it gave him the feeling he was being held here more like an animal than a human being.

Then again, he reflected, that was very close to the truth. He was in between being an animal and a man; and a monster.

He took a deep breath as Mr. Blue spoke; and while both he and Bel hated to admit it, he was right about one thing. People were bound to come and look for him, and this he had been expecting; the only trouble was that he was completely left in the dark. He had wanted to settle down to an extent; to at least integrate himself back into society after his transformation. That had been one of his desires, and through that, he might meet other people that would care for him. Maybe it wasn't the best of all decisions, and it was surely something Bel had disagreed from the beginning - getting a job and being social and all - but that's what Reg had wanted.

And he thought it paid off; and although Bel was stubborn, he knew the parasite inwardly agreed with him. It had become very difficult to hide their feelings from one another, that was for sure; especially for Bel, who had been 'attacked' - and struggled with - by more than one human emotion.

It was a relief to know he was in the Federation's hand than the Albanoid's; but only to an extent. He could feel Bel's paranoia for the Feds, and there was still no knowing what they would actually do with him. Yet Reg, knowing many of the other options would be extremely risky and almost suicidal to due against the very government he lived in, wanted to cooperate in hopes that, through his efforts, there would be light at the end of the tunnel.

"Section...6?" he repeated in a nervous question. "Some kind secret section of the Fed, I'm taking it."

"And how is that you know I'm unique? What do you know about me anyway?" he asked, gnarling a bit in defense; he showed a big row of sharp canines that seemed to have lengthened. Reg obviously looked a bit on edge, and yet...

"More over, what do you plan to do with me? I...honestly hope it's for both our sakes."

...It had become obvious Reg was becoming increasingly worried about something. The agent could see it in his eye, and although the obvious answer would have been that he was afraid of the GFed, it looked as if past of Reg's mind was somewhere else.

Emila was starting to feel very frantic and panicky again; despite her the assurance she got from her fiancé. Oh god oh god oh god the words constantly repeating themselves in her head. He had warned him such problems like these would come around, but Emila had mostly shrugged it off, optimistic everything would be alright. Now, though, she couldn't bare losing her him again.

She could hear his 'snarky' side talking...and fumble on the next few words, as if trying to make up his attitude. His words almost made her burst into tears, but there was only a trickle down her cheeks - she was not going to just sit by. She was going to get involved, no matter how much either of them to persuade her.

She stumbled on her two as she got up, still extremely sore from the run, and slowly made her way to the station. It was there that anyone at the secretary or front door would find an adult brunet with a pony tail collapsing over her legs. When one of the officers bent down and asked her if she needed help, she merely replied in a quiet voice, “Please…I want to see…my fiancé. I want to see…Reggie…Isusango.”

(OOC: Apologies if I mix up the agent’s genders)

The driver had either been not expecting the agents, or simply did not have the funding to be prepared, for the car took heavy damage from the weaponry. Glass shattered, a head light popped and then one of the tires was next. Yet as agent Nguyen aimed for the driver, he felt his definition and intention of firing his handgun get sliced. It was as if he had momentarily forgotten what he was doing – or what he was supposed to do. Only the very meaning of firing a weapon didn’t evaporate like you would forget over time; it was as if it got cut and distorted by an external force.

The effect would be temporary, but it was enough to ‘stun’ the agent and…

Sorry, came a voice within both agents’ heads, but that was a matter of survival.

As if to follow that comment up, the car skidded side ways with the driver popping out of the side facing away from the agents. The car had essentially been put between the agents and the driver. The driver was a woman; tall and lean and sport really long black hair. Her clothing appeared to be run of the mill civilian type; and she had a gun of her own. She had not been untouched during the fire; she had taken a few superficial cuts to one of her arms from the glass shattering, but a shot appeared to have grazed the side of her stomach, but it could not be truly said.

"More over, what do you plan to do with me? I...honestly hope it's for both our sakes."

"Well I think that should be fairly obvious," Mr. Blue replied matter-of-factly. "You're a scientific curiosity, what do you think we're going to do with you? I stress again, count yourself lucky that we're the ones who found you. Pirates like to cut you open. We'll just poke you with needles and run you through scanners, maybe hook you up to a machine or two. I'm not going to lie to you, it won't be fun. But it's a lot better than the alternative. Think of it like going to the dentist, only the dentist won't let you leave.

"And to answer your previous questions, Section 6 is the intelligence arm of the Galactic Police, and we aren't quite as secret as you might think. Our existence is a matter of public record, after all. Sure, we don't like to talk about what we do, but it's the nature of the business. I'm sure you've encountered our agents before. Myself, I'm a little higher up on the food chain.

"And as for how we found out about you, well that was easy. You see, one of the men responsible for making you what you are was caught doing a bit of shady bookkeeping. Man named Adler. Funny how little things like that tend to open up such huge cans of worms.

"Now listen. I don't care how well under control you think you are, you're dangerous. Why else would you have to live out in the middle of the woods?" Mr. Blue leaned in closer to the cell. "Just how well do you really know this creature that inhabits your body, Reg? How long do you think you can keep it from going completely berserk? Furthermore, how do you know that your next transformation won't be your last? That you won't be stuck like that?"

............................

Nguyen felt that tingling in his head and froze, momentarily stunned. It only took him a second to recover, and another second to realize that he was dealing with a psychic of some sort.

Monahan had thrown Adler into the car and joined her partner taking cover. Nguyen tapped the side of his temple and pointed at the shooter, signaling to her what they were up against. Monahan nodded her head. They both knew what to do.

Neither of the agents had any ESP ability themselves, but part of their training had been devoted on how to resist a telepathic attack. Like all agents and many SpecOps Marines, they were taught that extreme focus that was required, almost like meditation. They were taught how to put up mental barriers, how to keep those barriers up on subconscious alone. And they were even taught how to use someone's psychic ability against them.

"Focus on a single thought," their trainer for this course, a psychic himself, had said. "They're going to have a direct line into your mind, so anything you think they can see. You want to throw them off their game, so make it powerful. In fact, this is a great time to start digging up all those traumatic childhood memories." Laughs all around. "What also works is to essentially mentally seduce your opponent. I know that may sound silly or even unseemly to some of you but believe me, it is effective."

The agents focused, just like they were trained, blocking out everything else. All they needed was that one second of distraction.

............................

This was getting out of hand. Whatever this girl was... well, it was bad.

Captain Mason didn't know what to do. He was more confused than anything, not knowing whether Spurious was telling the truth or if her mind had snapped. At the moment, he was leaning towards both. He had to act, had to do something...

The disk. That silver disk attached to her body. He could see it, just above the neckline of her shirt, between her collarbones. Like a bullseye...

Mason grabbed a trooper's energy pistol and fired. The ionized blast landed a direct hit on the Beflexor.

Roffel House!

Katanura was silent for the first half of Reg’s conversation with ‘Mr. Blue’. She was listening intently though, she just didn’t have a chance to interject. Belugugan’s tentacle in the back of her neck caught her by surprise (and grossed her out quite a bit), but they’d done this once before. With no outward hint of an internal conversation, Kat replied to Belugugan.

Bel, you know as well as I do that you can’t stop Emila once she makes up her mind. Besides, how long do you think it would take for Section 6 to hunt her down? She’s just as involved in this as we are.

“I think you, Mr. Blue, are overestimating how dangerous Reg is,” Kat said with no hint of anger. She wanted this to remain as civil as possible. “I agree, there are dangerous aspects of him, but we’ve been living out here for two years with no problems. I’m grateful you arrived and got us out of trouble, and I appreciate that for the sake of national security that you’ve got to assess potential threats. You guys are the reason we can sleep at night. Trust me, after the fiasco of getting Reg safely home in the first place, I know what you guys do is important.

“The truth is that you caught Reg in a very bad state. It’s rare for him to be like that, and it only happens when he’s been gravely injured and is starving. Granted, the inability to control himself while he’s in that state is a definite bad thing, and if you could help us come up with a solution to that we’d be very grateful, but there’s no reason to use scare tactics to get us to cooperate. We are already well aware of what our challenges are and we were well on our way to conquering them when we were attacked. We know you don’t know this stuff though, and that’s fine. We’ll work with you. But at the same time, we’d like some sort of reassurance that something good in the long term will come out of this. Reg has suffered enough. Being kept in a cage for the rest of his life is not what either of us want or will tolerate.”

Reg almost sneered, or it could have been Bel. Either of them didn't like this man from the start, or the option he was presenting them wasn't very nice.

"Kat echoes my sentiments exactly," he said, his voice suddenly not sound like his original one but a blur between it and his growling tone; Reg and Bel were, for the moment, thinking as one, since they both shared the same interest. "I will not cooperate if you intend to keep me as a lab rat; I want my freedom in due time. Further more, there have been other people after me; how about you focus most of your attention on them, not me. I don't know what they intend to do to me, but they haven't treated me very nicely, and I don't think they have nice intentions."

Emila had stumbled in what looked to be a really bad time. There seemed to be some sort of hold-up, with a young girl with green hair being the target, and everyone pointing their guns at her. She wondered if she should leave, but before she could, something strange happened to her.

And it wasn't just her; it was everybody in the whole station that felt it. A dragging force that didn't seem to pull part of their body physically, and time itself seemed to speed up - except the people didn't move faster, just everything inanimate.

A spinning decoration on the table near where Squirt was being held blurred, and blinking lights stayed on; people who had tripped fell to the ground in an instant. And the front door opened and closed without anybody going through.

However, for Squirt, it was different. It felt like gravity had been cranked up around her mind, dragging it down; and the light of everyone soul sparks just disappeared. Lights stopped fluctuating for a brief moment, and the noise of the electronic world disappeared. The spark she had taken from the man flew out of the ground like it had been tossed and it nearly missed the man she had taken it from; nobody else but her saw this.

Twilight himself saw any trace or vision of energy disappeared, sucked by a wind that wasn't there.

And then, after a brief moment, everything returned to normal.

Twilight found a human hand on his shoulder - Emila's leg's wobbled as she used him to hold herself up, not quite caring what kind of situation she was involving herself in.

She was already involved in one.

"But y'know," she continued, "I honestly wasn't expecting you guys; someone else really. And I wish we could have met under different circumstances, perhaps as allies; can't help but feel we're similar in some manner. Agents who follow strict morals, but I could be misplacing a bet, eith-

The woman staggered, not from their defense - that did nothing to deter her - but from a loss of blood. She felt her chest saw and bloody her hand had become, Uhg, I'm bleeding far worse than I thought. I might have to bail out of here.

I just _____ in the _____.

Squirt watched everything unfold with startling clarity. At first she thought the souldspark was about to return to its body, violating every theory she'd ever made about them.

The weight on her mind nearly pulled her down. She looked at each person in the room, without the feel of their soulsparks, they almost seemed dead. It was a funny thing, as there was a time when she hadn't even known of their existence at all, then, when she did, she'd blocked it from her mind. Now, they were always with her, sensing them was like breathing to other people.

Then, the screaming in her head began.

It started as a faint wail in the distance and grew louder. Squirt then realized it was her own mind, screaming at her, incomprehensible, feral. No anchor of the electronic world to keep her there. She had been panicking before she even figured out something was wrong.

Then, just like it had begun, it ended.

The GI looked up at everyone in the room. They had done that to her, they had tried to kill h-bang! The bullet ricochet off the strange device and into the ceiling.

Squirt's head cocked back and her arms flopped down to her sides. She felt a shudder ran through her, a ripple of her skin that started from between her collarbones and ran outward. Squirt gave two quick breaths, a strange thing as she didn't have lungs, and took a step back.

Something was wrong, the bullet hadn't hit her, but something was still wrong. Where did it hit her? Why couldn't she think? Something was wrong, the bullet hadn't hit her...Hadn't she thought that just a second ago? Squirt opened her mouth to speak, but all that came out was a strange, chill-inducing moan.

Broken.

Finally, Squirt toppled over, her head banging gracelessly against the wall behind her and she lay there. Her vision dimmed to nothing.

Then, she was in darkness.

Anyone seeing the body wound notice its eyes were still open, but it was clear no one was home. Other than moving, Squirt had no visible signs of life, without that, her body looked as dead now as it looked fake.

OOC: B, just PM me if some of these things are either completely wrong or not what you had in mind for the soulsparks or Squirt causing stuff to go bonkers xD (Though its all in Twilights perspective, so it could be completely different for someone else, hell I dunno).
Also, I get really dizzy when I have to recap so much, so please excuse any repetetiveness and things that make no sense xD

Great, with how Spurious came out the door on her own just now it seemed like things would turn out just fine, without the need for any conflicts. He'd hate to be dragged into something where he had to chose between following his 'moral-code' or be law-abidding.

“What is this!” Spurious suddenly cried out, making Twilight snap his helmeted head in her direction, where he saw her with a face mixed between what he guessed was anger and maybe fear? She was hard to read. While at the same time she was pointing at the men in white lab coats across the room. She then began a rant that made no sense whatsoever to Twilight, but from the sound of it was related to the young womans past or perhaps what might have gone on within the office she had been in just now.

Either way, her suddenly snapping was certainly not something the Ing had been expecting, and as the woman's rant went on he could practically sense some kind of energy being emitted from her body in an uncontrolled fashion that made the electricity in the building go haywire. Had he been ready for it, he might have been able to stop the girl from... killing... the man that tried to calm her, but he had been just as surprised as the rest of them, probably more as he could see things they coulden't, and what he saw spoke impossibilities to him.

Then she pulled 'it' out of the now 'dead' man, though everyone else in the room might see it as just a ball of energy, Twilight could see deeper into it, though he did not truly understand it. To him the soulspark seemed like a nexus of complicated energies all twirled around a central point, and as the humans body fell to the floor, Twilight could feel nothing from it, it was as if he did not exist to the Ing's senses.

Spurious then continued her rant, claiming they had killed someone by the name of 'Trisha' and that she would take her revenge on them all as a message to the rest of the federation. Whatever was going on within the head of this girl, it didn't bode well for anyone of them there, especially not her as far as he was concerned. Twilight was about to take action, which was to grab Spurious and get the hell out of there, avoiding any more casualties. However just before he went into action, he noticed how there were guns pointed at him, and at Spurious. It was doubtfull the bullets could hurt him, though he would not take any such chances with the woman and as such decided he would wait for an opportunity. Which unfortunately never came.

Suddenly everything turned from straight out odd to impossible, Twilight felt as if part of his senses simply vanished, just like how the now dead man had seemingly disappeared, so did everyone else now. At first Twilight thought that Spurious might have exacted her revenge, but the lack of those nexuses coupled with how the people around was still standing made him dismiss that thought. It was just then that Twilight realized how different his vision had suddenly become, not only could he not tell any energy signatures out from around him, but his vision had turned to a series of darks and reds. It was like if it had reverted to his old warrior Ing self, before he had absorbed the (tweaked) light crystal and had his body infused with a network of light energy. It was not sudden, but just a moment after realizing this it felt like his 'eyes' began to burn, prompting the Ing to do SOMETHING, though he did not know what and just went with what felt natural and moved his hand up on his helmets visor in an attempt to get as close to his 'skin' as possible, for whatever good that would do.

Then just as suddenly as it had begun it was over. Twilight suddenly felt the precense of everyone in the room again, along with the pain in his 'eyes' diminishing as his vision became colorful once more. Then Twilight suddenly found a hand on his shoulder. Out of instinct Twilight nearly jumped to the side, looking ready to pounce, before he noticed that the one who had grabbed ahold of his shoulder had been a human woman that barely could stand on her own and was just about to collapse after her support suddenly disappearing. Nearly as quickly as he had moved away from her, Twilight was by her side again as he caught her by the arm, stopping her fall as he slowly supported her on the way down. With that out of the way he thought it was finally time to take action and prevent any further damage.

BANG

Twilight snapped his whole body in the direction of the gunshot as he thrust his arm forward in a futile attempt to get inbetween the bullet and its target, but by the time he only turned halfway it had already hit home on the silver disc that sat inbetween Spurious collarbones.

Twilight looked as if he was frozen in place as he watched Spurious strange reactions toward the gunshot, and whatever it had done to her, he could see no injuries on her person. What had happened? Then she fell limp, her head hitting the wall behind her as she fell to the floor ungracefully. At first, Twilight had thought she might have been dead, but was quickly relieved to notice that, despite whatever signs was apparent from her physical appearance, there was still that strange 'energy' within her. In other words she had to be alive.

Ignoring the police in the room Twilight walked up to Spurious unconcious form and bent down beside her as he examined her closer, trying to determine either where she had been hurt or what generated the odd form of energy she was emitting. And after just a few seconds of silence the Ing determined the silver disc was the cause of both, but he had no clue what it was. Not knowing what else to do, the Ing held out his right hand slightly over the silver disc, as he focused light energy into it in the form of 'positive energy' or as was a more easily understandable term, regeneration. This manifested as a soft multi-colored light from the palm of Twilights hand, and though the focus was Spurious it still spread out and hit more or less everyone in the room.

(OOC: This is short because it's been too long, and I have to get something down. Oh, and I really don't have anything for the lobby scene, so I guess just assume everyone's staring dumbfounded.)

"Do you honestly think I'm going to turn you loose just so you two can go play Little House on the Prairie? How stupid do you think I am?

"Say I do just that. Let you go and you run off to your little cabin and promise to be nice. And then what? You just live out your lives in total isolation? What happens when pets start disappearing? What happens when the first mutilated body of a hiker turns up in a ravine somewhere? Or when the first reports of a missing child come in?

"I'll tell you what happens. They just shoot you down. End of story. So believe me when I say that this right here, this is the best possible outcome for you. Any other way will end tragically, one way or another. That I can promise you.

"So if you want to help yourself, I suggest you start telling us the truth. Tell us all about the Albanoid Faction."
