Quick, what's your favorite movie of all time? You can only pick one.

For many people, that question, or any Favorite-of-All-Time question, is fraught with anxiety because, as they say, "I can't decide," or "there's just so many." For me, that question is very, very simple. It's Ghostbusters. Period, end of story. It easily gets the nod over even objectively greater films like The Godfather, Goodfellas, or Pulp Fiction. Not even close.

Ghostbusters has been my favorite movie for as long as I can remember. In fact, I honestly can't remember ever having not seen Ghostbusters. I've been able to recite the entire movie, line for line, since about roughly 1987.

Today, we lost one of the men who gave us Ghostbusters. Harold Ramis, who played Egon Spengler and also co-wrote the film, died at age 69. But he wasn't just Egon. Take a look at his IMDB page, and take a look at how many classic comedies he's been a part of. Then count how many are generally considered among the funniest movies of all time. Comedy will never be the same.

Let us all celebrate Harold Ramis's life and career by remembering the most important piece of advice he ever gave us:

My brother sent me a text asking if I'd heard about Harold Ramis. The first thing I thought was "either he just died, or got arrested for something pretty outlandish."

Though his death sucks, at least he didn't get arrested for eating babies while donkey punching a kangaroo.

I'm a bad person...
Since my liver is larger than my heart, does that mean I'm designed to drink more and care less?
