Travis simply just -stared- at Jenosa, at first unsure of how to reply.

One one hand, he knew that she had a point; this... thing would likely not remain content with just the morgue forever. If the clanging noises coming up the elevator shaft were any indicator, this creature was large enough that the steel beams groaned to support its weight.

On the other... he had just dropped a power bomb in its face; A FREAKING POWER BOMB.

How on Earth was this thing still breathing...? Were the zerg -that- resilient?

"Before we go about doing that... let me say something; I just dropped a -power bomb- in this thing's face and it's still breathing. The best we can hope for is that this thing is injured enough to slow it down and contain it here -for now- if we can't kill it. I'm not saying ignore it, and you know I'm usually the first person running towards the chaos instead of away, but we had best hope that we can kill it, much less wound it.

"You get what I'm saying, right...?"

As if on queue, the steel doors of the elevator began to groan and something large roared angrily on the other side.

Terrific.

"Well then, we're about to find out..." Travis' eyes narrowed as he took aim at the door, backing away carefully.

"Last chance to bail now while we still can, Jenosa. Of course knowing you, you want to take this thing head-on, yes?"

Alissa surveyed the prisoners and guards as they exited the craft quietly, riffle held ready but not directed at any threat for the moment. She had removed her helmet and secured it to the back of her armor in favor of a light weight visor for tactical information. She felt rather than saw the squad contract and raise their weapons at the sight of twilight, but with the absence of any aggression from the creature there was no response beyond that.

Her attention was drawn from the prisoners to a pair of civilians for a moment, one seemed lost in thought for a while almost staring off into space before being brought back into the moment by her companion. Alissa blinked a moment as she received a friendly wave from the man while the other looked suddenly uncomfortable at being noticed. Something about the woman told Alissa that she was more than a civilian, there was training there and lots of it.

The ship rocked with an explosion which was far from comforting in honesty, though she pulled on her stoic demeanor like armor and turned to face the gathered guards and prisoners.

“I am certain you can tell we are rather busy at the moment so I will provide you with this warning once, please bare in mind this applies to all of you for the time being” she surveyed the gathered group, aware that more than a few of them were openly staring at her, which she understood….she had come to accept that she stands out.

“If one of you attempts to leave the group, or escape, or cause trouble in any way….I will shoot you, I will not miss, and you will not have another opportunity to cause trouble again” she said simply looking to the soldiers a moment “Disarm the guards, and check the prisoners for weapons as well” she said quietly. As she saw it the objective was to secure the passengers of the prison ship and nothing more, let the commander of this vessel figure out what to do with this lot. “And let’s get the passenger manifest for your commander”

Alissa scanned the line of prisoners quietly for a moment; she was looking for the one most likely to cause trouble. She was met with a collection of looks of disdain, hatred, or outright fear, and one of focused interest. Alissa met Grace’s eyes for a moment as the squad began moving, a few going toward the guards while the rest moved toward the prisoners. After a moment she turned her attention toward twilight advancing slowly till she stood just out of the creatures reach.

***unknown species, detecting energy emotions that do not conform to known biological functions, physical scans suggest it is extremely powerful, approach with caution***

Alissa looked at twilight without a hint of emotion on her features “you I suspect have the most potential to cause trouble….” Alissa left the question unsaid ‘are you a problem?’

OOC: Wanted to go a bit further, but I figure this is enough for the moment :)

The situation that Twilight had walked into was a bit unexpected, not that every assembled soldier in the hangar were aiming their gun at him, no he was surprised that even the crew of the prison ship were ordered to disarm and were rounded up, it did not seem like standard G-fed protocol to treat citizens as criminals but he did admit this situation was out of the ordinary even by his standards. Additionally the female that seemed to be in charge of the group of soldiers did not look to belong among the crew of this ship, perhaps she was a mercenary or bounty hunter, she certainly had features that were rare among humans and though there were exceptions he had found that individuals that stood out from the crowd physically tended to be special in their own ways, a flawed way of thinking to be sure but then again Twilight didn't fully comprehend the ways and minds of humans or their close allies.

Once he had stepped off the ramp leading down from prison ship Twilight had stopped in his tracks and lowered his arms, as long as he didn't move from the spot he assumed that wouldn't be a problem. Nearly at the same time as the white haired female Twilight also spotted the odd duo standing at the edge of the hangar, though he couldn't tell the look on their faces from this distance, he had the odd feeling that the female was uncomfortable for some reason, while the male gave Alissa a cheerful wave. The presence of what Twilight assumed was civilians was odd enough, but their behavior was even weirder to him...

That was when the ship was rocket by an explosion, it caught Twilight off-guard and made him instantly tense up as he began to look around, trying to detect from where it had come and if the Hangar itself was in any particular danger. Luckily it seemed that while close it was not so close that the explosion itself was a threat to anyone in the vicinity, however there was no telling if it was simply the precursor to something worse. While the white hair female began to explain the situation to the assembled group Twilight forced his body to calm down, and began to use his senses to attempt to locate the source of the blast. If it had been something more advanced than a simple hand grenade it was possible he would be able to sense the residual energy unleashed by it's explosion, though depending on power, efficiency and proximity of the source that might well be beyond him. He was only half-listening to what Alissa said, registering it somewhere in the back of his mind, he was far more intrigued by the familiar sensation he was getting from the small but still noticeable residual energy left by the explosion, for some reason it reminded him of Dark Aether, and more specifically...

His thoughts were interrupted when the white haired female walked up to him, stopping roughly two meters away, it seemed she was cautious and with good reason, she had no idea what he was capable off but if he were to lunge forward now that would be enough for her to attempt to dodge, or shoot. Not that he would, but he didn't blame her for being cautious around someone she didn't know, especially if it was something she didn't know. It was pretty obvious to him what she meant with her words, and again he couldn't blame her for making such an assessment, even if it annoyed him that he was once again judged by what he was, rather than who he was. "I've volunteered to aid this group in any capacity that I am able, so as to return from this reality to our own." He declared with a calm voice as he looked down on her, despite the distance between them he was still roughly two feet taller which forced her to look up a bit if she was to meet his gaze. "I am fully willing to extend this offer to this ships inhabitants as well, but that discussion will have to wait until the ship is no longer in danger." He added, as he walked past Alissa, toward the source of the explosion.

(OOC: Ninja post)

Lenna let out an sigh of relief as the white haired woman only glanced in her direction before turning her attention back to the prisoners. She was not keen on the idea of explaining her appearance on this ship; at the most, she hoped to find a quick opportunity to leave this place. Not just because of possible hostiles, but the more she walked within the bulwark of this ship, the more...unsure she felt about herself.

She narrowed her eyes dissaprovingly at Ghelm's waving. "Is that necessary?"

"What do you mean 'necessary'?" Ghelm replied with a perturbed face, "You'd stand out more if you don't. What do they do to you in the academy, anyway, take away your people skills?" There was a brief moment of silence between the two before Ghelm went, "Oh..."

He had meant to lightly sarcastic, but quickly felt like a condensending jerk in light of a terrible revelation about her; they - the Dominion - had really taken that out of her. He could - with all the sudden clarity flooding his mind now - literally see that. He just...did. Even if the comment meant nothing against that steel laced, panned brained mentality of hers, he still felt bad for saying it.

Except, to his surprise, it did. He saw her hands clench into fists in challange to what he had said, and replied, "People skills? I'll show you I still have people skills."

And without saying anything else, and to Ghelm's bewilderment, Lenna leapt off the short railing and onto the hanger floor with grace. As she made her way to Alissa with a strong gait, she focused and cleared her mind as best as she could, listening in particular to one of the stranger prisoners. Without show much as introducing herself, she said to Alissa, "I'm getting the distinction this prisoner is actually being sincer." And then she added in a lower tone that only Alissa could hear, "However, the black haired woman over there - she annointed Grace with a flick of her eyes - is the one you should be concerned about."

For all the tension in the situation, Jenosa made a wry smirk at her comrade. "Travis...let me tell you something about my sonjour on Inos. I've fought a giant, carapaced worm, infected security systems that could bathe one third of a room in pur, searing energy, a bizzare, resiliant energy, a giant killer plant and more. No, I'm not shitting you; I'm not making this up; that was all real. And I can 100% garantee you, that bomb of yours would have barely phased them."

"Oh, and yeah," she assured, "I defeated each and everyone head on. So, unless you got some other sure-fire way of killing this thing, I say we stick it right here and now."

Travis sighed, resigned as he finished reloading his clip.

"Well, I suppose there's little point in talking you of all people out of it; I forget that you have all those abilities tied to that armor of yours. I guess I'm just too careful." He quipped before returning his attention to the ever-louder thrashing of metal and screeches rising up the elevator shaft. Whatever was coming, it was considerably large, likely another call to nightmare.

Although privately, Travis was still a bit askance. (Why is it that every woman I meet has some kind of godly power or has something to do with killer aliens...?)

"Hey, if we're going to trade stories, did I ever tell you how I killed a Nuyaii Marsh Crab Queen with just a Federation Standard, two grenades and a log? And no, I'm not joking," He smirked, trying to somewhat lighten the mood in spite of the approaching monstrosity.

The creature's roar shook the entire floor; it would be bursting into the room at any second.

Travis gripped tightly onto his weapon, time seeming to slow down in the murk of the abandoned medical deck.

The first thing to go flying in the gloom was the floor plating before the elevator doors went flying across the room, forcing both bounty hunters to dodge out of the way.

What arose from the rubble and dust blocking the elevator shaft was a monstrosity that H.P. Lovecraft would envy. It was unclear as to what they were looking at; was it humanoid, insectoid? Aracnoid???

The creature raised its carapaced body and let out an earsplitting shriek, raising its seemingly helmeted head up to meet Travis with its glowing green and primal eyes.

And yet, Travis sensed something different about this Zerg; was it killer intent? Instict?

No... it was something else, something he couldn't immediately place. Not to mention he noticed something else; of the assorted tentacles which flowed behind the behemoth, he could notice one of them was roughly severed in half.

(Looks like I found out what was trying to drag me down...)

Baring his teeth into a grimace under his helmet, Travis opened fire, taking aim right between the eyes of the monstrosity; admittedly, he wasn't sure if he was hurting it or not, as these screeching sounds were entirely new to his ears.

"SO JENOSA, WERE THE FREAKS ON ALINOS ANYTHING LIKE THIS ONE...?" He shouted over the din, ducking to avoid the swing of the creatures semi-bulbous tail before jumping back.

To a man, the guards resisted being disarmed. The prisoners were their responsibility, after all. They were to keep their charges under control, and would continue to do so. The marines disagreed, and so some words were being exchanged.

Grace watched the proceedings with interest, as did the other prisoners, although she suspected they weren't thinking of ways to not get caught with a pistol on them. This little dust-up bought her some more time.

No you idiot, now's your chance

She glanced over at the white-haired girl, who looked like she was running out of patience and probably didn't have much to begin with anyway. Her eyes were turning back to the argument between the guards and the soldiers when she realized she was already fiddling with her cuffs. After one of the guards dropped a couple more F-bombs, her hands were free.

And then another woman ran up to the assembled group, so without warning it was any wonder she didn't get shot on sight. Running right up to the white-haired girl.

Those little moments are precious. Take advantage of them.

Too late. The other woman, the brunette, looked at her. Looked her right in the eye. She knew. Grace knew that she knew. It didn't matter how, didn't matter that it was completely illogical, that there was no way that this crazy woman who she'd never seen before could just pop up out of nowhere and know exactly what she had planned. But she did. Grace knew that look. Every lawbreaker from the lowliest tweaker the biggest boss knew that look. That one when you make eye contact with a complete stranger, and something about the way that they look at you tells you that they knew who you are and what you're up to. At that moment, how they know is totally irrelevant, or at the very least something to put on the back burner. There'll be time to ask questions and ice some snitches if need be. But at that moment, there's only one thing you do.

You run.

Grace flung the handcuffs in the two womens' direction. Right at their heads. And then she bolted.

It was only a split second distraction, but when the stakes were this high that could turn out to be more than enough time. She pushed her way out of the line and made a run for the dropship. Best cover in case bullets started flying, and the white-haired girl had promised that they could. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a fire extinguisher. She spun around, aimed her gun - nobody saw her draw it, it just appeared in her hand like a magician producing a deck of cards - and fired, sending the fire extinguisher flying across the hanger. Barely breaking her stride, she kept running. The dropship was just a few yards away. Every second counted.

Most noted Alissa’s control in tense situation, a seemingly endless supply of patience, and the impossibility of making her loose her temper. Most people also didn’t know Alissa well enough to know the warning signs. While she regarded the exchange between guards and the marines she collapsed her riffle storing it on her back between her shoulder blades she turned toward Twilight drawing a pistol, the wine of charging indicating the weapon had been armed.

“The situation is in hand, remain here” it was a command that carried an edge her friends would have known as the limit of her patience with the situation.

The situation was on the edge of Chaos, she could feel it, and in her current state she didn’t much care for it. In that moment the “civilian approached with sudden purpose.

"I'm getting the distinction this prisoner is actually being sincere." And then she added in a lower tone that only Alissa could hear, "However, the black haired woman over there - she anointed Grace with a flick of her eyes - is the one you should be concerned about."

Alissa raised the hand holding the pistol indicating where Lenna had come from to order her out of the hanger when a glint of silver caught her out of the corner of her eye she turned to see Grace fleeing across the hanger toward a drop ship.

Alissa turned taking off at a sprint as the action in the hanger seemed to slow down to her mind. She reached back pulling her helmet up and on her head, it hissed as her cloak engaged; she seemed to vanish into shimmer of blue sparks as her targeting system locked onto the fleeing form of grace. Alissa was naturally quite fast, combined with her suits systems she increased her speed was hard to credit. She ran for a stack of crates bounding up before jumping in a high arc that took her to land in front of Grace, the cloak disengaged as she raised her pistol taking aim, firing once as a blue sizzling bolt sailed past Grace’s ear into the bulkhead behind her.

“I am trying very hard not to kill anyone today”

Perhaps not too surprisingly the white haired female did not allow him to leave, ordering him to stay put while drawing a gun. While he had no intention of directly disobeying this order without further sign of the situation not being under control (Though he had his doubts based on the explosion, and how everyone had reacted to it), he still assessed the threat on the weapon aimed at him. It was clearly a form of energy pistol, this was evident by the sound of it charging, but the design was something he did not recognize and as such it could be just about anything which was worrisome since certain forms of energy were more effective against him than others.

While having stopped in his tracks Twilight turned to face Alissa and was about to ask them to at least quarantine the ship properly when the female civilian ran up to them, out of nowhere saying she felt Twilight was genuine in his claims. This was certainly welcome, though he felt it was very odd that a human would trust him out of the blue, did she know who he was? No, that was unlikely, if she knew he was Ing then it was more likely she'd distrust him the way Grace did... It was at this time that she lowered her voice and pointed at Grace, saying SHE was the one to keep an eye on. Well he already knew that himself, she seemed resourceful and if what the prison guard he had spoken to earlier had said was true then she was well-connected.

Twilight decided he'd like to get a word in to both thank the civilian for the vote of confidence and also to mention the need to quarantine and scan the prison ship, as well as all the prisoners, when a flash of silver flew past his vision toward the two females, it had been so sudden and in his blind spot that Twilight had not noticed it at all and even had a hard time following it due to it surprising him as it did. It didn't seem to hit anyone of them, but whether it was Alissa or the civilian that dodged or caught it he didn't know. Either way he turned around to see Grace running, turning around for a split second to fire a gun at a fire extinguisher, sending it flying across the hangar.

Twilight simply stood there dumbfounded for the entire duration that Alissa used to catch up to and intercept Grace. Just what was she thinking, running from the guards while on a ship in space? Especially when the ship itself had the risk of having dangerous creatures on-board, not to mention even if she did manage to find a way off the ship it was highly likely they weren't even in their own galaxy, or even dimension anymore... Well, she was probably more knowledgeable than he was when it came to running from authorities, but he couldn't help but feel it was rather foolish of a move. This was only reinforced when Alissa appeared in front of her, sending a sizzling bolt of Ion-charged particles past Grace's head.

Ion... His threat assessment was at it again, while he had never actually been hit by Ion-charged particles since taking his new form he had come to the assumption that it would destabilize the energy field that kept the light and dark energy separated within his body, something that could have catastrophic consequences should he be hit in the wrong spot if he was right. He did not wish to test that theory however, so unless he felt it absolutely necessary he'd have to follow her instructions, as much as it frustrated him standing motionless while things were happening around him.

Now that the situation seemed under control, Twilight turned back to the civilian. "Thank you for assisting me, I am grateful. Though I must admit it is rather odd to find a human trust one of my kind without knowing me, how did you come to that conclusion?" Twilight asked with genuine curiosity, there was likely a lot of information to pick up from his surface thoughts as he spoke of "his kind", as well as a few negative emotions surrounding the word "humans". It would likely be clear that he belonged to a normally rather distrusted species (to say the least) and that he had bad experiences when it came to dealing with humans.

Grace nearly tripped over her own feet putting on the brakes as Alissa materialized in front of her. It took all of her agility and all her skill to keep from falling on her ass, and that might actually have been the only reason that ion bolt didn't burn her face off.

“I am trying very hard not to kill anyone today”

"Oh yeah?" Grace raised her pistol and pointed it right in Alissa's face, not caring if that visor on her helmet was bulletproof or not. "Well I never wanted to kill anybody in the first place, but things change. So either pony up and kill somebody or get the fuck outta my way!"

It was reckless. It was stupid. But Grace had made her reputation on being reckless and stupid. Oftentimes it was the only way for a normal person to survive in a world where the competition was enhanced and had much better toys.

"Well? What are you waiting for?"

What...?

Constantine's jaw was agape from within his sanctum.

Over the last few hours, he had felt it prudent to help the crew of the Claymore where he could, given his advanced capabilities amongst other things. Quietly, he had been subversively assisting the ship in its functions, monitoring security feeds, engine output, shield power...

But this still didn't prepare him for what he was witnessing.

It was easy enough to recognize her; when Travis had brought Grace aboard the Arctic Storm during a certain string of events, Constantine had profiled every visible feature he could find. But that wasn't the sole reason her image clicked.

No... that viciousness, that recklessness and personality; this was indeed the same woman who had so rudely blown smoke up his arse (literally, if you can consider a hologram a person).

["Alissa? Alissa, can you hear me...? It's me, Constantine; I'm working with the crew on the main deck to get access to the escape pod controls on that deck, but if needed I'll override the controls to keep her from running. Break that woman's wrists if you have to; she is far more dangerous than she lets on. Also... and this last bit is a personal favor... please don't inform Travis that she's here. I know this sounds strange, but I shall explain later."]

He sat from within his chair, hands raised as holograms of code streamed through the sanctum, his glasses sheen-ed with every algorithm and hyperlink.

Time was of the essence; he would not let this vile woman slip away, not if he had any say in it.
