Deadeye '17, eager to move on from the slow-motion train wreck that was last year.

The situation was quickly growing out of the Dominion's control. First, the chamber had exploded into smoke and chaos...

And then, one of the heavy metal hatches into the room could be heard clattering onto the floor, followed by the sounds of roaring gunfire.

Gifted as the Dominion's Ghost commandos and accompanying marine troopers were, they were still susceptible to diversionary tactics... and between Grace causing mayhem in the shadows and Travis leading the charge from everyone else, the Dominion forces suddenly found themselves inside a pincer; a sweeping guillotine on one side, and absolute chaos on the other.

There was nowhere to run. The Dominion forces were now left with a choice: fight and possibly be wiped out, or surrender themselves to the mercies of Raynor's Raiders and their mysterious, extradimensional allies.

Tychus bulldozed forward past a barricade with ease, his CMC-series armor allowing him to haul his vulcan cannon and fire towards the Dominion lines, heavy-caliber rounds shredding through armor and flesh akin to a projectile chainsaw. Travis seemed completely uninhibited by the thick smokescreen, sprinting with fiercesome agility right towards one of the pairs of Ghosts that had taken up positions around the hangar in two-man fireteams.

And with lethal purpose, Travis pounced. Once upon the Ghosts, one tried to pin him with C-10 rifle fire that harmlessly bounced right off of the Gabrielite Suit's chest plating, while the other (a woman, judging from the build) tried to slash at Travis' throat from behind... only to find her blade completely useless.

She hardly had time to react in shock before Travis grabbed her by the wrist, brutally threw her over his shoulder and into the floor with his left arm with enough force to shatter a few ribs, and then shot her point-blank in the face with the wrist-cannon on his right arm with three quick beam blasts. The agent's body dropped limp as the beam energy penetrated her helmet, Travis sprinting towards her partner and quickly delivering a lethal five-round burst from his Fenris into the center mass of his body and making him drop like a sack of bloody potatoes.

The cavalry hadn't just arrived, but heavy artillery as well.

Hang on, Alissa, we'll find you.
