While he can still change the form of elemental compounds, albeit with some stress, the elements inside the compound are unchangeable. Norcar has no knowledge of its existence beyond that it is there. As such, Norcar has no control over the power itself. Rip hasn't discovered this ability yet, but by writing kanji on the paper she's folded, she can edit how a folded thing can act or react. I got mad street cred now, fo' shizzle! nah, I was thinking that a ghost would manifest however it chose to manifest, and no extra effort would just make "me" look like an insubstantial version of myself, parts fading in and out of view at random. An actual manifestation would require energy, and for those of you who have watched Ghost Hunters or anything like that, you'd know that a spectral entity could pull energy from batteries or electrical wiring, or use the heat from the air. Now, as for my main power, I've done a little research on sound (wikipedia, of all places), and it turns out that infrasound (17 Hz and below), while inaudible to humans, gives them a sense of unease or paranoia. Storms and earthquakes produce vibrations in this range, which is why animals are known to flee before the storm or whatever hits. It could be pretty useful to use those low frequencies to intimidate someone into doing what they're told, or weaken an enemy's resolve. We already know that sound is the vibration of matter (in the form of compressional waves), and that heat is also vibration of particles. It'd take a lot more energy, but I could possibly start a fire (not on the scale that Jess could, nor as easily). Though it hasn't yet been developed (as far as the public knows), a concentrated beam of ultrasound could liquefy living tissue. Again, that'd take a lot of energy. Now, this is what I found to be pretty interesting: sound pressure. Sonic pressure can put out fire by robbing it of oxygen. You've all seen someone fanning flames or using the bellows to make the fire spread. However, if the air moves through the flames too fast, it'll blow the oxygen away too quickly for the fire to survive. Speakers vibrate and move the air. If the sonic pressure gets high enough, it'll have enough force to blow out a fire. Also, sonic pressure can be used to move things, so by using any sound in the area, I (that is to say, my RP self) could reflect sound inside a bubble of sorts, which could either be used to crush an object, shatter it, or levitate. (Sonic powered flight, perhaps?) Another thing that came to mind is that, since a beating heat makes sound (obviously), that could also be used. It could be used to make a person's skeleton resonate until it collapsed from stress fractures, or an increase in sonic pressure could be used to kill a person (just try to imagine the things it could do to a person's interal organs). Though, when I first chose this power, I hadn't actually realized all it could do... |

Name: Troy Dorsey Screenname: Arx Fatalis / Fatalis Maximus Age: 18 Height: 6'00" Weight: 170 lbs Hair: Long, Brown Facial Hair: Blond / Brown Goatee. Occasional dark brown stubble on his cheeks. Personality: Kind, slightly shy around newcomers. Has a tendency to become extremely violent when harmed or threatened. Has an extreme hatred of needles; it is essential that you do not, under any circumstances, use needle-based weaponry on Exile Arx. Diagnosis: Dubbed "Crystology" by the ones who have studied his abilities: the ability to control and manipulate crystalline matter for various purposes. Exile Arx carries with him several luminescent blue shards of crystal, their origins unknown at this time. He appears to be able to bend, pull, and shape them to his will, even alter their state from solid to liquid. He has been seen using this ability to levitate his crystal off of the ground through unknown methods, allowing him to 'pick himself up' as it were and essentially fly. He may also use it in a raw form, forcing the shards through his target. The ability is highly stocked with potential for any action, and thus remains highly dangerous. The other persona, apparently dubbed "Berserker" by the subject, is extremely volatile and, according to some of our researchers, may be able to function without Arx's full consciousness. i know i know i need to read all the rp stuff to now what to do, and where to act etc.......please do not take as offence name:josh screen name:a young cunning fox age:13 personality:a quiet person, yet strong........is sometime generalized as an emo/goth for his apperance......the worst he has is a cruel since of humor....although josh can be quite serous at times, he generally trys to help people or get yelled at by teachers apperance:josh has as some call it ratty down to bottom of the ears black hair, he has greyish dark blured eyes...he almost always wears a black long sleeved shirt under his skull hoodie, with his drak grey jeans powers:josh has had quikened sences, and reflexes than a normal human he also...........he has that of almost a highly skilled warrior...he can even create/bend electicity to his will, wich is why he always carriers a metal dagger with him..........he has had/ known of theese powers since 7yrs. old normal abilities: very good mechanic ........................ very persauvive with out most knowing they are helping him...................... very artistic.............................. high enduance on account of the teasing, being called emo, etc........... hacking..................... get even hack taken down sites history: josh has lived a relatively poor life while he lived with his mom, grandma, and gandpa......his mom and dad divorced when he was 3yrs. old......he had nevedr the best grades, while every one said he had add, and adhd........he hacked through a random mainframe when he got bored once, and he saw a site called realitysexile.....which for a moment amplified his powers.......he was recently thrown into a high security room, and called an exile while he awaits someone to either kill him or let him go free, almost killed on the spot for trying to get a gaurd to give him his wallet...... ---------- i will try to get something in tonight if at all possible Edited by a young cunning fox, Feb 25 2009, 06:17 PM.
