Description:

Aiko has the ability to act as a conduit between energy sources, channeling energy from a source to a sink. For example, she can take electrical energy, transform it, and send it to a region with less ambient energy. This process is surprisingly easy for her to perform, since the energy travels through her and does not stay in her. In essence, she is an extension cord/transformer, not a battery.

Because she cannot store this energy, the effects of transferring energy are short lived once she has terminated the exchange. Her ability can be used to temporarily reduce fatique in others, giving them the energy needed to perform tasks or use their powers.

Starting Powers:

At first Aiko is limited to just being a conduit to help others use their abilities after they have become too tired to otherwise use them. She gets the most energy out of coming into contact with an energy source (such as touching a computer or appliance), and then focusing on who she wants to send the energy to. The recipient will feel a boost of energy, similar to a caffeine high, and is able to function normally despite being physically or mentally exhausted.

Powers in Development:

Aiko will soon learn that her ability has an interesting side effect. Since she can channel energy, she can receive as easily as give. As a result of monitoring energy intake of sinks (such as people), Aiko subconsciously creates a feedback loop in which she is actually receiving energy as well as sending it to the person in question. Because of this feedback loop, she can actually mimic the energy signature of a person who is using their abilities and copy them. However, this process is tiring to both people, since the feedback loop closes and shuts off external inputs of energy. In other words, when Aiko is using another person's abilities, she becomes the energy sink (ie. energy flows into her), while the other person becomes the energy source. However, the presence of the loop and the inability for Aiko to store energy creates a situation where the two people are essentially feeding off the energy of the other, and this tires both of them out.

At first, Aiko can only send energy as the person needs it. For example, consider that Aiko is holding a slushie (energy) and a person is drinking it with a straw (recipient). While Aiko is still learning about her abilities, all she can do is let the person drink the slushy as fast or as slow as they want. Later she'll actually learn that she can speed up the process by squeezing the cup and forcing the slushy up the straw into the person's mouth. This can be dangerous though, because if she forces the slushy up the straw too fast the person could choke or spit out slushy everywhere. In the context of someone using their powers, this could kill them or cause their powers to react in dangerous, unpredictable ways as their bodies are struggling to get rid of the excess energy. It is far easier for her to send more energy that is needed than sending less, so it would be difficult for her to reverse the process if she sent too much.

Her most powerful ability is still under development, but has to do with the third definition of synergy. Emergent behavior is when otherwise simple systems create fantastic and unbelievable results. For example, a termite colony in itself seems small and ordinary, yet they create these massive towers. Aiko will be able to recognize these unique patterns and connections between seemingly simple things, then manipulate them to create an amazing result. This ability borders on chaos theory, which is the belief that the smallest action can have a very large reaction through time and under the right circumstances. In essence, Aiko can control cascade effects.

Power Description: Electricity shouldn't be fooled as a simple, mundane energy. There's much more to it than just which way the current flows or how much voltage there is. They can come in different wave patterns, DC and AC currents being very common examples. Think of the electrical flow like water, and that water can appear to slightly different depending on the force applied, and the chute it's coming out of. AC and DC is merely where one voltage oscillates (Meaning 'shifts") between negatively and positively charged states, where another stays the same.

Electricity is used in all sorts of different ways, and can thus give of different patterns. Whatever the case, CEMP's mind has become extremely sensitive to whatever minute patterns he picks up from electronic devices. Perhaps it's some kind of resonance the electricity gives off, or another method his mind uses, but through this he can, recognize, understand and manipulate these patterns with his mind.

To give a bigger picture for those who haven't already seen him in action, CEMP can actually 'read' the information stored within most electrical objects, such as computers; and he doesn't have to look at the screen to do it. In other words, it's like he's psychic towards computers, although he can sense more mundane electronic devices such as transformers.

Oddly enough, he can't sense the electrical impulses inside human. Perhaps it has something to do with amount of electricity in them, or something else about the human anomaly. It may also have to do with how CEMP's mind has refined and attuned itself to some how 'automatically' translate the patterns, so much that it might have forgotten how to recognize human impulses.

Beginning abilities: CEMP is mostly capable reading electrical patterns and computerize, with some minor manipulation abilities. The difficulty of reading the information and how quick he can find it depends the organization and amount of it that is stored. The Internet, for example, contains several roads that lead to countless bits of information. Of course, given the appropriate key, he can automatically find subjects or links related to that key word.

It should also be noted that he may not completely realize his own 'strength' or 'reach' and can therefore subsequently affect electronic devices without wanting to do so. Emotions can play a key role in this, although daydream can also have a similar affects. He may be listening to song and lulling to the tune, so much that his mind will actually follow the rhythm and automatically override the music coming out of other active speakers and play his.

Obviously, as time goes by, CEMP's abilities will become more refined. He can manipulate devices more easily without tiring himself too much, and will become more aware of the extent of his 'reach'. He can apply more complex manipulations, such as actually reprogramming a computer.

Later on, he can even 'assist' the computer in it's operating and processing. This would include keeping even very crappy computers from lagging horribly, and, in fact, speed them up to equal that of every day computers. He can improve and refine the graphics of the display, and as well as a couple of other things. Of course, the worse the quality, the more strength it will take for CEMP to bring that device up to speed.

Alongside that, more mundane electronics can eventually be affected, as well as the small components. Components such as capacitors, with the right thought and manipulation, can be overloaded, fry, and explode, as thought it they or the wiring weren’t properly placed. Using enough will power and technique, he can even ruin the electronics inside a computer, essentially ‘killing’ it.

One of the final, and perhaps most interesting aspect about this ability, is to create anomalous wave patterns and resonance. The phrase, “Tommy Knockers, knocking on the door,” comes to [my] mind, and it was actually the story of The Tommy Knockers by Stephen King that inspired this trait. The story was about how the people of a simple town become affected by a sinister, alien force discovered by one of the townsfolk, and how they become hostile to anyone who comes to their place. As a part of the effect, these people, these people were able to combine simple, every day appliances to make some really freaky stuff, like flying, killer vending machines, water squirt guns turned into phazers, and even a machine that sucks people into a pocket dimension.

Of all these weird gizmos, many of them had tons of batteries and wires, and that was where the crux of the inspiration, as it probably had to with some kind electrical phenomenon. I won’t be directly pulling all the ideas that was in The Tommy Knockers, however, what this trait will exactly look like what it will do has to yet to be decided. An ideal concept is there, but I’m planning on developing on the current traits of my abilities, so I can pace myself and not come out with something that seems too unrealistic. This trait, however, may shows it’s face once or twice during the development, and with +CEMP+ not really be aware of it, or of any ability to create it.

Weaknesses: Slight ADD and small daydreamer, slightly erratic mind, and is still vulnerable like any other normal human being.

Strengths and Skills: Decent runner. Can really do stuff when he points his mind to it. Problem solver. Patient and calm guy, and not easily frustrated or angered. Great diplomat, swimmer, and is a lifeguard (Thus meaning I know quite a bit about first-aid). Does some voice accent impersonation, some which are quirky.

Pyrokinesis is the paranormal or legendary ability to control, ignite, and/or extinguish fire using only the mind. The word pyrokinesis comes from the Greek word for fire, "πυρ", and -kinesis, (by analogy to the term psychokinesis) from "κίνησις", movement, motion, a suffix that denotes movement.

Most pyrokinetics are immune to the heat and flames they create, at least to a limited degree. Some are only immune to flames that one has psionically taken control of while many others are usually immune to fire and temperature extremes, so long as the heat does not exceed the maximum temperature they can generate themselves.

Basically, use the power of fire to do my will. However, the fire needs some sort of fuel in order to spark. This is generally done by any small piece of tinder. From there, any object containing carbon can be easily used to build the flames. Fires can be controlled and formed into various shapes as needed. Wind only builds to the fire, as well as any dry materials. The fire’s secondary effect is that the colors of the fire will determine the strength of the flare, as well as the mood of the user.

Blue – Sad, cold burn
Purple – Enraged, scorching
Black – Royally pissed off so much that nothing can calm down, things will melt…

As with most fire-based concepts, their natural enemies are cold and water. However, cold can easily be countered by producing a heat shield while water can only be countered at temperatures in which water will become nothing but vapor by touch. Another way to counter fire is through CO2 based solutions or even eliminating the source of the fire. The first four listed are considered tame, and can be combated, given that the right equipment is used. However, when the flames are black, it is nearly impossible for anyone to live, and to put out such flames would result in consuming tons of resources. This in turn also effects the user in which too much energy is used and will be sent into complete exhaustion.

Beginning – Only able to create small blooms to balls the size of baseballs. Unable to fully create flames as a small fuel source is needed, but able to handle without much trouble. Only colors that are created as of now are pink and the normal flames. Sometimes cannot control when the body heats up and will sometimes singe things without knowing.

[UPDATE 1] Sparks of black were seen during the flee from the NSA on the UCSD campus. This would only happen under a severe amount of stress, and is unable to control at this stage if it erupts into a full flare. Having said this, energy has been drained and it will take a while to recuperate as this was the first time the dark flames were seen.

[UPDATE 2] Learns that the colors of the flames are based on moods. Able to create blue and purple flames. Has better control over small firestorms; uses this ability to control the flames boiling the water in the Washington facility as a means of keeping busy by the NSA.

Later Development (May change as RP continues) – Able to create normal flames without tinder. Able to give them forms, such as a raging fire dragon, to intimidate her opponents. Learns that color of flames also leaves aftereffects on the victim if they are still alive, making them feel the same emotion as the color of the flames. Not until much later when larger amounts of the black flames appear, causing some to be worried. Friends close enough to her and know her habits call this the “Black Phoenix Effect,” meaning it is a time of much danger and that all should flee if they are to keep their lives. Again, the black flames can only be extinguished by using vast amounts of resources. However, nitrogen somehow proves effective against it...

Powers: Sonic manipulation, sonic vision, amplified hearing

Current capabilities:

Wes is able to manipulate sound waves to do just about anything sound waves are known to be capable of doing. He is currently able to increase or decrease the volume of sound, and he is capable of putting enough power into a shout or a snap of the fingers to throw small objects or knock people down. With a clap of his hands, he can stun anyone within a certain range, throw people hard enough to knock them out (or kill them, if the environment is right), or, if he really pushes himself, he can level a small building, like a house.

He can also see sound waves, but because he is changing his vision to detect sound, he cannot see light, and therefore can't see colors or read anything printed or painted on a smooth surface. His sonic vision allows him to pinpoint the source of any sound that can reach him. Because sound waves do not really reflect light, his eyes would obviously have to physically change to allow him to see sound waves. When he activates his sonic vision, the eyes don't change their shape, so the only why he could see the change is if someone took a picture or showed him a video. When he is using the sonic vision, the eye becomes a translucent blue, with a second, smaller orb "floating" in the center of the eye, creating a sphere within a sphere effect.

His hearing is greatly improved, and much more durable than normal. Higher-pitched and/or extremely loud sounds do not effect him as much as they could before. His pain threshold is considerably higher, and he can detect sounds that are too quiet or outside the range of human hearing. His hearing can be combined with his sonic manipulation to create a sort of radar, much like that of a bat, allowing him to "see" with a 360 degree view, but he can't see the movement of soundwaves that don't pass in front of his eyes.

Weaknesses: He is still human, and can't dodge bullets, is not immune to flames or explosions, and is pretty much incapable of surviving anything a normal human would not, unless it involves sound.

Wes's other self, while in control, is not capable of controlling sound waves, but he's got something that suits him better. He is able to shift between a corporeal and an ethereal state at will, and, like a ghost, he can move through solid objects, manifest as an apparition, and disregard the laws of gravity. He can drift into a living, corporeal person, and take over their body, provided he can either muster the willpower or subtly manipulate them into lowering their guard.

When he is in someone's mind, he can see their memories, though lacks the patience to peruse them all. Instead, he'll only make them think they're trying to remember whatever he's looking for, and then learn it while it's at the surface. If it's something that anyone can learn, like how to hotwire a vehicle or rig explosives, then he can learn it and do it on his own later. In the case of someone with powers, he can use their power, but only when and if he can take complete control of them, and he can not take the ability to use outside of their body.

Injuries sustained in his physical form (other than a headshot, which WILL kill him) aren't be carried over to the spectral plane, so no matter how badly he's hurt, as long as he's alive and has the energy to shift he can shift into a phantom and then shift back without the injuries.

Personality: He is essentially an amoral version of Wes. He is manipulative, deceptive, and cunning, and will not hesitate to use his powers for personal gain. He is generally apethetic to the suffering of others, and usually only helps someone else out if doing so can benefit him. If he needs to negotiate, he will do so in a way that keeps the other party from gaining much profit from the deal, and if someone tries to use a human shield, he wouldn't hesitate to shoot through whoever is in his way.

Diagnosis: Crystallis Manipulatis - the controlling and use of crystalline matter for various purposes.

The crystal Shards he carries can be molded into most shapes including shields, swords, the discus that he rides on in a recent post, and other, undiscovered forms. The screen of his monitor was super-powerfully energized by the shocking explosion of said monitor, making the crystal as hard as steel, but still as malleable as possible for him.

As for other crystals and glass, he may do the same things, but he is limited by the type of structure. For example, he could not use windowpanes as a shield or as the fly-disk, because it is too brittle. It could be used as a weapon, but it would shatter on impact, and be harder to control. Real Diamond, as an example, would be much harder to mold than other crystals due to its strong nature, but would make a more durable substance to work with.

Name: Beflexor

Power: Teleportation. Greek prefix tele- (meaning "distant") to the Latin suffix portare (meaning "to carry"). (Also referred to as "jumping")

As shown by high-speed cameras, Beflexor's teleportation is more of a gate the approxomate size and shape of her body in which she comes through rather than the sudden empty area of space which she once occupied. This explains why there isn't the noise of displaced air when she is appearing or disappearing. Unlike EP's teleportation, Beflexor cannot teleport to a place she has never been to. Pictures/videos will not work (at the moment anyway...)

Once Beflexor becomes more proficient in her power she will be able to recall places faster and teleport larger things by simply holding them rather than having to pick them up.

Weaknesses: Physically weak, low stamina, shy, easily frustrated, can't teleport when restrained to unmovable object. Has to have been there previously before she can teleport to said place.

Other abilities: Archery, naturally proficent in aiming guns, little plant knowlage (ooh, plantain!), stealth, can use false accents, light sleeper, and a naturally high resistance to sedatives.

Psychokinesis is the umbrella term under which are various related specialized abilities. These specialities include:

-Starting Powers-
Em has a underdeveloped version of Telekinesis that uses shadows as a "shortcut" and a mental link to objects he wishes to influence. With this power an object must cast a shadow in order for him to manipulate it. If the object casts no shadow, it is beyond his realm of power.

Em can control the shape of shadows, linking them in one large chain to influence objects outside his normal range however, this has a drawback. The more he has to manipulate a shadow, the more he has to focus thus limiting the number of objects he can influence in this manner and the distance he can manipulate them in. This method gives a full 360o manipulation field.

Another option at Em's disposal is LOS manipulation. If anything in his line of sight within the local area casts a shadow, it can be manipulated in this manner rather than through shadow stringing. This method does have quite the limited range making it ineffective for long ranges.

Flight is possible in any shadow but in a shadow only. This power only really shines at night.

Once Em is familiar with his power he will start using some different powers, playing on fear and placebo effects.

Shadow-spawns:

Using shadows Em can create Quasi-real shadow creatures that mimic anything his mind can concoct. These Creatures alone present little threat, possibly bruising and cutting the victim. However, this abilities real power lies in fear and deceit. Em will attempt to trick the Victim of his "spell" into wholeheartedly believing the shadowy construct is real. Possible side effects include, Loss of cognitive function, paralysis, coma and possibly death.

This power furthers to ammunition, munition, projectiles and other such objects. While a shadow projectile is slightly more tangible and therefore capable of some bludgeoning.

-advanced powers-

Shadow dependence will all but cease and a large skew of telekinetic abilities will become available however proficiency will still remain when shrouded in shadows and with effects dealing with fear.

Non- RElated abilities. Martial arts, Overactive imagination, nack for weapons, bad morning temperaments, Asthma, cloak wearing and basic alternative medicine (blah blah blah).

"Seems that shock gave me more then a jolt. I've been seeing things. Mostly strange armored hands floating from my own, performing small tasks that I only think of doing an instant before they go and do them: Turning the lights on or off, moving things, fixing the sheets whenever they're knocked loose...

It's like...I have a Stand... Wait, that's it! It has to be... But if I'm involved in all this superpower business, they're going to come after me. If they do, I'm going to have to leave...I better get packing then..."

Special Ability: Telekenesis/Psychic

Though Phillip is not physically fit and only has average physical strength for a young man his age, the telekenesis that he has seems to take that strength and multiply it to superhuman levels. It's been seen that movement of objects from a distance is possible, as wall as lifting and manipulating objects and mechanisms with utter precision.

Phillip has also had at least one episode of psychic ability, more precisely clairvoyance, as he has described how he could see one of our agent's vehicles before he saw it with his own eyes. More study and experimentation must be done in order to see what other ways it can be used.

At this point, we can definitely look forward to what his full potential may be.

--It seems that they can't see it. The Stand that I possess...I haven't seen it's full form yet. Just it's hands. I have a few ideas of what it looks like, but I guess I'm going to have to take some time to see for myself. I don't think any of the agents can see it yet, but that still presents the question of who else can see it. I guess I'll find out soon enough...

--It's shown itself the other day when they pulled some crap stunt with Jessie. It looks like one of those Chozo Ghosts... While it does look a bit creepy, I wonder if there's any way that I can change it's appearance...

--Jessie is able to see it! She told me about it the other day and it has me wondering who else can see it. Since I haven't seen any reactions from any of the people around here other than Jessie when it appears, I'm guessing it's safe to say that maybe other Exiles can see it? I won't be sure enough unless I give it a try...

Traits: Flexible (Seriously, I freak people out at times), fairly intelligent, optimistic, anti-war/fighting (yet I take Karate... Hmmmm...), always tries to make people happy.

Power: Liquidation (DUN DUN DUN!!!)

The ability to, in simplest terms, melt myself into a puddle of liquid and reform at will. Kinda like Sandman with sand, except liquid. As a liquid, I can mix with any body of water, and emerge at any point within that body of water (I.E. enter ocean in Japan, emerge in New York in seconds). It is possible (though it requires massive skill) to turn other objects (I.E. clothes) into liquid as well, which can then be transported along with me, and even then it is only small objects. I can also sense movements of objects in water while I am mixed with it, though the larger a body of water is, the harder it is to tell where or what anything is specifically.

This can also be used to shapeshift (rearrange my features slightly, must remain human. Anatomy-wise, at least) and heal myself (reform body to original form, as long as first attack doesn't kill me). Also allows for control over water I am mixed with, though nowhere near as much control as, say, Sandman has over sand. Similar concept, though.

Uses:
Beginner: Very small amount of self-healing and shapeshifting, ability to turn into a liquid, travel short distances through water and reform, water absorption (ability to absorb water touching my skin at any point). However, the only controllable at this point are travel through water and reformation, all others happen randomly or depending on surroundings.

Intermediate: Control over becoming water & slight control over healing, plus increased travel distance through water, ability to move as liquid without water to travel through, minimal water control, absorption of food as well as water, ability to sense movements in water while mixed with it.

Expert (and beyond): We'll just have to wait and see, now won't we?

Also, under normal circumstances, I cannot not change phase (freezing or boiling will kill me).

I currently know my power, though I have no clue how to control it, nor what it's full potential is.

Transcon = Gargoyle

The power of raw diesel, the endurance of solid steel framework, the Gargoyle passes unnoticed into the night reaching for the impossible...

Everyone else went with super powers, mystical abilities, or psychic awareness. Transcon went the route of the full-bore mutant. Abilities and physical attributes were inspired by personal feelings and conceptions of his connection to the equipment used in the field of work.

Gargoyle statistics:

By day, Transcon would need to sleep. He had developed a severe reaction to sunlight. The effects of the allergen mean the nullification of all supernatural abilities. The only way to stave off the effects is to sleep.

Sleeping causes his body to solidify in place becoming a statue. Though the flesh is marble and other rare earth stone material, the body literally holds form and freezes in place while he slumbers.

By night, his strength is unheard of like raw diesel power. His resilience is stronger than that of hardened stone like a steel reinforced frame. His dexterity is like that unto a brick... like that of a brick.

His "powers" can be rated by five different power sets.

Potence: allows him to strike opponents with the force of a falling boulder or speeding car; to lift enormous weights as though they were paper; to shatter concrete like glass; to leap distances so great that those who witness this in use may, in fact, be reminiscent of the old creatures of myth.

Fortitude: he is capable of walking through a hail of bullets, shrugging off even the most punishing blows, and even resisting the deadly claws and fangs of supernatural foes.

Visceratika: This is an extension of his new found natural affinity for stone, earth and things made thereof. A side effect of his mutation, this power is extended through the ideas behind Gargoyles as defenders of buildings and homes, as well as their residents. Reducing damage even further due to the nature of the power over his own stone body, learning the layout of a building, and even the effect of becoming a statue to rest in the sun's rays.

(Mostly the latter would be his strong suit. It comes with sleeping and NOT getting sick.)

Flight: Nominally, the wings give him the power of flight. The more he learns and practices, the better (and faster) he could get.

Obfuscate: Possibly the most confusing power to write for. From hiding minute objects to the ability to appear as someone else to the power to fade from sight entirely, the Power of Obfuscate grants him uncanny powers of concealment and stealth. Obfuscate clouds the mind in practice.

For example, him hiding an object using this Power doesn’t actually make the object disappear, nor him using the Power to hide himself truly vanish. Rather, the mind sees “around” the Obfuscated object, refusing to acknowledge it, even if that requires a bit of filling in mental blanks. To continue the example, if he Obfuscated a large sheet of plywood and tried to hide behind it himself, those looking at the plywood would, indeed, see the character lurking behind it but not see the plywood itself.

The mental shroud is very difficult to penetrate. Because they operate on a less conscious and mostly instinctual level, however, animals can see through it. Those that don't perceive the world as normals do, children, the clinically insane, and others of the like have a chance at noticing something amiss.

It’s important to note that Obfuscate affects the viewer’s mind, rather than making any true physical change. Thus, the Power is not effective at cloaking him from mechanical devices. Photographs, video cameras and the like record the image, not the assumed appearance. Obfuscate does affect any individual currently using the recording device, however, so someone videotaping him sees the illusion when looking through the lens, discovering the truth only later when he reviews the tape itself.

Currently, he is only able to mask his own presence. With time and effort, he could potentially learn to mask his visage and even hide a small group of people. Those who are psychically keen, such as powers that sharpen the mind and senses and offer mental acuity, also have a chance to pierce the deception. I.E. Telepathy, Extrasensory Perception, et al.

*Note: Characters that have a chance at "noticing" him as described thus far in the RP would be Alkarii (the altered sense for sound helps mental acuity... you'd need to focus on it for this to work). More will be listed as the final members discover their powers.

Yes, this may seem like a lot, but balance this out with being limited to night time action only, unskilled at fighting (you could have all the strength in the world, but it still takes skill to land that punch), as well as the fact that he looks... well... freakish... and we have something well rounded.
