"T'kran? T'kran, you with me? They want us to get ready to leave. We're almost at Bryyo. T'kran, are you even listening to me?"

T'kran grumbled for a moment. Axon's constant droning had changed to him, now all the Pirate heard was an annoying high-pitched voice saying 'Hey! Listen! Hey! Listen!' over and over again.

"Axon, if you don't shut up right now I'm deleting you from the core. I heard the PA, I know we have to leave."

He hadn't felt right since that nightmare... he kept telling himself it wouldn't happen, but a part of him just knew better.

"Warm the ship up. I'll be ready in a few."

Walking into the cramped cargo space of his ship, he quickly slipped into his powersuit, although he left the energy-hungry add-ons in their containers. He doubted he'd need heavy weaponry on this mission, his Imperator packed enough firepower. Making sure his weapon was fully charged, he headed back into the cockpit.

"Alright, T'kran, everything's good to go. The weapons are running a little hot, but it's nothing too arresting." chirped Axon from one of the control panels.

"Ugh, it's probably that damned coolant line again. I'll fix it later."

"The hangar crew fuelled and reloaded the ship while you were gone. We're ready to go."

T'kran smirked under the cover of his helmet. "Now we just need the word."

Kyle heard the news about someone on board walking around carrying loads of phazon on him. When he first heard this, he shook his head and cursed in sylphirian, with a bunch of 'WHY NOW!?' and 'CAN'T THIS WAIT!?' along the way. Unlike most people, he was having a bit of a difficult time tracking down the phazon carrying individual. He was taking a break when someone had ran past him, the PED leader, Harm. Fitting name for someone that can deal a buttload of damage.

“Oy! You! The rear admiral wants us on deck now!” he shouted at him. “You deaf or something?”

Kyle shrugged his shoulders and his wings fluttered. He hated being shouted at, especially since with all those years of going on assignments for the Fed. Back then, when he was younger, he'd shout 'Hey! Stop treating me like a kid just because I technically AM one!', but now he has to deal with it because he's officially a man. A man who reads twenty-first century old manga and watches old anime.

He began running up to the bridge, not wanting to make the rear admiral wait any further. He entered the bridge and presented himself to them. "Winged Hunter here. How can I help?"
----------------------------------------

For some reason, the stare that the child gave Pyro sent shivers down his spine. He couldn't really tell but there was just something about her that seperates her from others around her. He's going to have to be wary of that child. When Tina made the remark about the two of them being 'love birds' Pyro couldn't help but flap his wings a bit, slightly embarrased. Wait, why am I embarrased!? It's just a stupid insult.

Just then, Iola ran her finger down his shoulder, which again sent shivers down his spine. “How about you and I find a more suitable and private place to talk, cowboy?” she giggled. “Perhaps tell me more about your life as a pirate? I’ve always wondered how people like you could exists maiming others as you do…”

"Well, if it doesn't bother you, I could tell you. But it's not exactly interesting. Why not tell me about you? You probably read my files or heard stories about me, but I haven't heard anything about you? Mind explaining?"

(OOC: Sorry if it sounds weird grammatically, but I am running off two hours of sleep, if anything...)

“Winged Hunter here. How can I help?”

The two head commanders looked up as the doctor and her subject left, but not before Faulias’ transmission came in.

-:- This is Faulias Khayorn, subject has barricaded himself in a room. Sending the coordinates… Now. -:-

Maeda looked at the map again as she received the information, and looked at Ross.

“Take care of the bridge while I’m gone, Ross,” she ordered, picking up her pistol while putting on her vest. “Keep things as calm as possible. I’m going down to see if I can dispel the situation… As for you, Winged Hunter, come with me. Faulias and Travis have the culprit cornered on the upper decks in a storage room. Don’t know how dangerous he is right now, but we’re going to need some backup just in case. Those who have been affected by Phazon Madness tend to do things that are beyond human limits…”

Nightshade nodded as he watched her take two other armed troopers with her, and sat at the command seat. Maeda made her way down, meeting up with Bloodsbane and his troopers. Already, two other PED units were already there, controlling the area while the two hunters were trying to figure out what to do. Bloodsbane and his men created a semicircle around the door as the ship’s leader walked forward, one hand on her pistol as she knocked on the door.

“This is Rear Admiral Maeda Ai,” she announced, her gloved fist banging on the slab of steel. “I order you to open up right now! We have some questions for you that need to be answered.”

She looked at Harm and made minute gestures, the PED squad now prepping their firearms. They had to be prepared for anything that could happen, the worst being a man completely induced with the said madness and unleashing a full out assault. Sadly, she had seen some of her own men and women be affected by this during the Phazon Wars, as well during the earlier transport missions, forcing her to put them down permanently due to lack of treatment, and lack of knowledge of the more advanced symptoms. She looked at the door again as she heard the slight humming of the PED weapons.

“If you do not cooperate, we will be required to use brute force. Will you come out peacefully or not? We just want some answers.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dr. Harrison had his hands full as his nurses and staff members were bustling back and forth, keeping track of each patient’s vital stats and giving them serums as needed. At this rate, Harrison was beginning to worry that his supply of the medicine would run out soon if this man was not caught and put into quarantine. Already, he had to put six cargo handlers down with tranquilizers, as well as three troopers and two officers. These people were currently in quarantine under a watchful eye, monitored every minute.
He sighed as he sat down after working on another patient, who had been vomiting in his quarters. He looked at the pile of folders as Dr. Steiner and Curon entered the ward. He took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose before putting them back on.
“I take you’re here also for treatment?” he asked pulling out medical records for both the doctor and the corporal. “Sorry if I seem really tired, but this seems to be a slight epidemic with men getting sick left and right, even a few crazy ones…”
(OOC: Curon, go ahead and play Harrison if that will help you more since this is just quick interactions.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Bijou entered the premise and watched as the handlers undocked the Terratillan and the Shadow Cat. Titus also walked out, stretching himself as he approached the Megalith.

“Where’s our other?” he yawned, getting on all four to stretch out his back before standing up again.

“Already in his ship,” the stone creature replied. “We’re about to make planetfall soon.”

“That’s good. Do we need to escort?”

“No, the Feds are sending in their own escorts, but they want us to meet on the base with the PED leader. The commander told me that she was to lead us around the base and show us around before we are allowed to have time to ourselves.”

“That’s fine then.”

The two ships were docked as both the admiral and the commander appeared on deck. Both Bijou and Titus raised a salute.

“You are free to head down to base,” Zimmerman explained. “Master Gunnery Sergeant Emily Jayone will be waiting for you three, along with Omega Squadron squad leader Al’An Ol’Tai. Mind you, be nice to the newest addition, so behave yourselves.”

The two nodded and got into their ships, Bijou radioing T’kran and explaining the situation. Two dockworkers got out to the deck and signaled for the hunters to prepare to leave. Before long, both the Terratillan and the Shadow Cat hovered out, making their way out carefully before increasing their thruster speeds to pull away from the GFS Bahamut. As Titus sat there, he noticed a Federation fighter hovering near him. He tapped into the COM and chuckled as Jayone waved back.

“Well, ready to take a dive around the base?” she laughed.

“Just as soon as T’kran joins us,” he laughed. “Bijou should be in the area though.”

“All righty then, but I’ll go ahead.”

“Actually, we’ll come with you. I’m sure he’ll catch up with us.”

“All right then, but no slowpokes, or else there’s dish duty for ya!”

The Megalith laughed as he also joined in on the channel.

“Just lead the way. We’ll be behind you.”

“Then let’s go!”

Before the two could say anything else, the fighter took off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Well, if it doesn’t bother you, I could tell you. But it’s not exactly interesting. Why not tell me about you? You probably read my files or heard stories about me, but I haven’t heard anything about you? Mind explaining?”
Iola giggled as she heard this.
“You already know that I haven’t been on any big missions…” she replied. “And I don’t like being so public about everything. Besides, Feds won’t let me speak about my missions to anyone, especially since they know about my ability to morph…” She went from one form to another, from a human to a pirate to even a Kerichoan as she said this. “I did meet Gandrayda once while she was in our area, but other than that, nothing. The only other time that we heard from her was during the Phazon War, perhaps a month or two after we heard Norian was attacked by Dark Samus…”
She sighed as she pushed away from the wall, her back facing Pyro.
“Sometimes I even wonder if the Federation know that they’re putting everyone in danger with all the mining they are doing… Granted, the Feds probably know best how to clean up the mess, but… you can’t help but wonder if they are doing more good or not…”
After a moment of silence, she turned to look at the ex-pirate.
“Sorry about that… Well, about me… I started out as a small time go-for for a local packaging company, and then moved up to small time local hunts with the police. After that, I left my home and began to roam around, taking with me a shuriken se that a friend had given me as a farewell gift. Ended up on Oki VI for a while and picked up my human name from this one girl that lived in the same complex as I lived in. Then, I started the smaller hunts for the Feds, mostly recon and stuff. This is my first real mission if anything.”
She stretched out her lithe body into an arc, bending backwards and almost touching her calves with her hands.
“So, that’s basically the small summery of my life,” she finally ended. “Not much, but that’s how it is for some people.”
Steiner managed to speak before Curon did.
"Actually, we just came here to see if we've been contaminated at all. I'm fairly sure we haven't had anykind of exposure..." She said, taking a step to the side to let a nurse guiding a patient away to quarantine, edging away as the pair went past. "And if it ends up that we're not contaminated, then we'll be on our way," She finished, Curon nodding in agreement.
"Chances are, you've probably been contaminated with these lunatics running around, but I thank you for trying to cut down the work for me and my personnel...at any rate, let's get to it..." Harrison said, leading the pair into seperate rooms and motioning for a nurse to evaluate each of them while he went through what paperwork he needed to.
After about a half-an-hour of inspections, questions, and examinations, Curon was the first to emerge from the ward, clearly uncontaminated. It took the doctor another 20 minutes for her to leave the ward, also uncontaminated.
"Alright, now that that's taken care of, let's get to our rooms..." She said, though Curon didn't exactly feel comfortable with leaving the woman's side, though he oblidged her and the Admiral's orders...
I just _____ in the _____.
Lorrilal blinked, it was her equivalent of standing bolt upright and shrieking what!? in surprise. Although concerned, Tina hadn’t even hinted at the idea of removing her from the mission. Still, the Fae knew to tread lightly when it came to her age. Too many people were twitchy.
“Those men are quite aware of the risk, they are in it for money. I however” she paused, thinking about it for a moment. “I am here as a direct-effecting observer” she said, quoting something one of her friends said when Lorrilal had asked about her job. “I’m here to not only here to see the unfolding of something happening, but to perhaps put some positive sway into the outcome as well.”
She took her apple core and held it under the table nonchalantly. “Something is happening, something has already happened.” She lay the side of her head on the table, as though listening. “There’s something in here. A heartbeat. It’s been slow, quiet, content, but it’s quickening. Quickening since it synched with that of an angel. Others are starting to be drawn in as well, even I feel its pull, my own heart racing at the thought of it.”
Lorrilal quickly sat up and set her hands flat on the table. “Power is tempting, but even those to crave it cannot have it if said power does not come in the appropriate form. Oh…” she moved one of her hands, finding the seeds from the apple she’d eaten. “I think I will plant these.” Then she looked at Tina “I have a bad feeling about the people on the other ships.”
"Alright, Bijou. I'm all ready here." replied T'kran over the comm.
Tapping a console, the cockpit burst into life, flooding the chamber with a red light. The ship powered up, although the only sign of this on the outside was the small sliver of red light appearing towards the rear of the ship's main body. As it was unlocked from the hangar, it began to compact, the two frontal sections locking against the main body, and the large rear wings folding in close. The ship was large: designed as more of an assault craft than a mere fighter, it easily outsized Bijou and Titus' ships, and so it had to make its profile smaller to leave the hangar safely.
Once safely outside, the ship returned to its full size once more, hovering below and just behind the other two ships.
Staying silent in amongst the comm chatter, he smirked as the GF fighter shot off like a bullet towards the planet. "So, it's a race you want..."
The Darkstar didn't so much accelerate, rather it took off at near full speed with little time speeding up. it left no visible engine trail as it went, the drives modified to run stealthily.
"Try to keep up, you two."
Al'An looked to the skies and saw the light of small ships entering the atmosphere. He assumed these were the hunters that had been sent to Bryyo earlier.
Following these thoughts Al'An walked fairly slowly out of his space and down one of the open corridors to the hangar. His ship was at the ready. The large, fairly thick disk at the back had a marking flashing on the bottom, likely meaning the ship required weapons maintenance. It didn't matter right now as Al'An was not going to engage anything in a dogfight.
The ship, TL-78 "Xo'Kaal", was currently in the attack posture, and two fins with plasma weaponry mounted on them were prepared for aim calibration. All part of routine maintenance. The large, proboscis-like cannon sticking out of the rounded turret nose of the fuselage was also preparing for calibration.
Al'An had time to check the internal systems before the others arrived. Everything except for a nonessential system was working. He then proceeded to fly to the outpost near the seed, as he was told to about a minute prior.
Al'An suspected the ships would arrive in mere minutes. He exited his ship (still in attack posture) and stood, arms crossed, at the airdock.
Bryyo was a rather peaceful planet despite the history between the warring clans before humans arrived on it. A planet rich with fuel gel, it had become an economic gold mine for the Federation, but not only was it rich with an energy alternative, but also with a small, yet semi-bountiful, Phazon mine. It was nine years ago that a Leviathan seed had crashed here, giving birth to death and decay as the poison spread, some killing while others mutating. It just so happened that the seed landed in the 2% of the planet that was actually habitable, thriving in the arid, yet livable, climate. It was here that the Reptilicus race had found this new resource, some dying while others were being mutated, giving them the ability to warp short distances. These were quickly separated and became the hunters of their tribes, using their skills and abilities to gain what they wanted.
Lieutenant Commander Holden was not very impressed with Al’An’s current behavior, especially disappearing when he needed him ASAP. What bothered him even more was that the GFS Bahamut had landed, and he was still nowhere in sight. He huffed and looked at the junior officer standing next to him.
“Where is he?” he growled.
“We do not know, sir, but we have sent a message to his communicator though,” the officer replied nervously.
“He better arrive here, or else he might be punished for lack of respect for orders…”
As he said this, the Wen’s ship had appeared overhead and landed on one of the air docks. Both ran for cover as the dust kicked up, then squad leader stepping out in a rather intimidating position.
“You know, your timing could not have been more costly,” Holden coughed as the dust settled.
The ships docked in the main outpost nearest to the remains of the seed. Titus and Bijou stepped out to the hangar after docking (not to mention losing to T’kran in the race), their eyes shielded as the bright sun poured into the dimly-lit room. Supply ships began to hum in and out of the area, carrying crates of various sizes while pallets of fuel gel canisters were being ushered in with utmost care. Vice Admiral Webb and Commander Zimmerman had both walked out to deck, greeting the head commander of the station and the lieutenant commander.
“Commanders,” the vice admiral greeted after receiving a salute from the base leaders. “Is this the Omega Squadron leader we heard about?”
“Yes, he is, sir,” Holden replied. “This is Al’An Ol’Tai. Al’An, this is Vice Admiral Branden Garland Webb and Commander Shawna Noreen Zimmerman of the GFS Bahamut. They will be your COs when you leave Bryyo after tomorrow.”
“Ah yes,” Zimmerman interrupted. “Our three hunters are also here with us. Commanders, these are hunters Bijou, T’kran, and Titus. They are our escorts aboard the Bahamut.”
The commanders looked at the three as the PED leader came in and stood next to the hunters. With a nod, the two approved as Holden looked at Al’An.
“Why don’t you stay here and make some friends?” he chuckled. “I am sure you will find it better to have some allies than working on your own. Admiral, commander, why don’t you follow us to the conference room? I am sure that you would appreciate some rest after that journey.”
The two nodded in reply and were taken into the main sanctum of the base while Master Gunnery Sergeant Jayone stood next to the hunters.
“How about you four get acquainted while I make sure everything is in order, ok?”
Titus raised a brow as he watched her leave, leaving her three men with them. Bijou looked up at Al’An a bit unnerved, but he was also interested at such a species.
“My name is Terrazik’nua Minashard,” the Megalith introduced. “But the humans have opted to calling me Bijou.”
“And I am Iodole Darkwater,” the Kerichoan added. “Titus to everyone else… And this is our companion, T’kran.”
After a while of introductions, Bijou looked around the base then back at the Wen.
“So, what brings you here?” he asked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Again, Tina listened to the child, until she mentioned power.

“Power is tempting, but even those to crave it cannot have it if said power does not come in the appropriate form.”

“Indeed…” she murmured as she watched the child pull the seeds from the apple core, mentioning something about planting them.

Of course, this thought amused the Watawara, as there was no means of growing a plant on a ship, unless they had some sort of garden aboard, or the child the some strange ability to make them germinate. Then again, it could explain the vegetation she saw fall out with the Fae from the air duct. As she placed the empty plates on to the tray, she heard Lorrilal mention something that tempted a nerve.

“I have a bad feeling about the people on the other ships…”

She was about to bus the trays when she heard this, sitting back down and bringing her head down to the child’s eye level.

“What do you mean?” she asked. “What is this bad feeling you have about the others?”

She did not like the idea of premonitions, but if it were true of events to come, then it would be best to let the head commander know.

Al'An had just exited his ship, and appeared to have landed just in time. Zimmerman and Webb were there, and he heard Holden say something, although he pretended he couldn't quite hear it. Assuming from the nature of Holden's voice Al'An believed he was being scolded for something, likely either being late or setting his ship down on a crate of something. But there was no crate. There was more talking but once again Al'An just walked over to the gathering of hunters and pretended not to hear it, although he heard every word clearly. He then saw Bijou look at him almost nervously.

"So, what brings you here?"

The Wen looked down at Bijou.

"Hrugh," Al'An grunted in that creepy digital, crackly, demonic hiss of a masked voice. "I was dispatched here to assist in the collection of Phazon, as well as the deflection of Reptilicus hunting packs. I fear my performance as of late has been sub-par."

Al'An's spines twitched slightly as he looked over the others. Al'An was at least a head taller than each of the other hunters, who in turn appeared to be slightly bigger than the humans. He was amazed at how very little sentient life in this galaxy had a stature of 8 feet. However, his height seemed to give him an advantage. This, and the ability to show his emotions on his entire body. Currently he was completely emotionless, walked around the three hunters. He was inspecting them thouroughly for something, although even he wasn't quite sure what. Something was odd about T'Kran, however. After looking at T'Kran in various wavelengths, Al'An silently came to the conclusion that this one had been in contact with phazon and may have suffered adversely. Al'An decided to watch T'Kran closely, and without any speech, walked back to the front of the room.

"I have found something of interest in the Fiery Airdocks. A small piece of ice, incased within appears to be a fragment of flesh. But what interests me most is that this ice does not melt, and every time a piece is chipped off, it regenerates... I will have to collect it later," Al'An hissed. "Perhaps you would wish to see this strange phenomena for yourself?"

Al'An then walked back to the hunters.

"I will traverse to the Fuel Gel refineries later to collect it," Al'An spoke. "I expect you three will be useful allies in the time here. Do not deceive me in this belief," Al'An hissed and walked away into his ship.

(OOC: Al'An has a knack for randomly changing the subject like that.)

"Yes ma'am." Kyle followed Maede as ordered. He followed the admiral to the area where Travis and Faulias, as well as Admiral Bloodsbane, were holding up the phazon being. Kyle had his arm cannon out, ready for action. Usually, he'd use the arm blade, but he doesn't want to risk getting radiation burns. Not a good thing. He predicts that there may be a chance that things could get really messy.
-------------------

"I see." Pyro said, not taking his eyes off of Iola. "Well, I suppose it's best to leave things unsaid. Such as missions or personal history."

Pyro leaned on the wall and put his arms behind his head. The flames of his hair touched his arms, but it didn't seem they were burning him or scorching his clothes. "You show promise though. Maybe you might become the next big thing. Possibly bigger than Samus." Though I doubt anyone could surpass her.

"I on the other hand will most likely progress differently. Call me angsty, but no one will accept an ex-pirate as trustworthy. That's a fact, not the truth. Especially with someone of my calibur."

Just then, two fed soldiers, rookies by the looks of it, approached Pyro. Pyro sighed, expecting he was going to be in another brawl, but something much different happened. "Hey, there's a saying you can swing your swords really fast, and even spin them, but you never hurt yourself doing so, especially since they're long. Is that true?"

This was a rare occurence for Black Pyro. No one has ever spoken to him like that, well coming from Fed soldiers. Other people just do small talk with him and that's it, but a federation trooper talking to someone like him? This was rare. "Yes it is." He answered the trooper.

"How'd you do it?" The soldier gave him another question.

A smile, a slight one, was on his face. Another rare occurence. "Sure, I'll show you." Pyro walked over to the table and placed his left hand on it. The rooke soldiers followed him curiously. Pyro took out a long blade from the side of his boot, a dagger possibly, and placed the tip in between his middle finger and his index. The rookie placed his hand on the table and leaned on it as he watched Pyro. Suddenly, Pyro placed his hand on the soldier's hand and pressed it down and forcefully spread the fiingers out.

"What are you doing?" The rookie asked, laughing at what Pyro was doing.

"Don't move." And with that, Pyro stabbed the knife between his and the rookies fingers, then Pyro started stabbing in several other places. Middle, index. ring, thumb, pinky, middle, thumb, index, pinky, thumb ring, and soon it was impossible to tell where the knife was going because Pyro increased the speed of the knife to an almost inhuman rate. The rookie screamed as Pyro continued the knife trick. He was moving at the firing rate of an AK-47! The knife suddenlt stopped when Pyro jabbed it between the thumb and the index. Pyro took his hand off of him and withdrew the dagger and put it back into his boot. The rookie was staring blankly at his hand. He looked at it, and he saw no sign of cuts. He was fine. "Try doing that for two hours straight. That's how I taught myself to not cut a skin of my body with my swords."

"Woah man... that was.... woah..." The rookie looked at his hand, amazed he didn't get hit at all. "That was awesome."

(OOC: Knife trick from Alien. Look it up on youtube.)
